Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: February 13, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title

[Korrespondent] 22:29 French military and cybersecurity experts said they have identified a Russian network spreading propaganda and disinformation about the war in Ukraine in Western Europe. How this happened and how it worked can be found in Feiki’s material about Ukraine.

22:23 During a telephone call, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov introduced Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky to Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Armed Forces Europe Christopher Cavoli and Commander of the Security Assistance Group of Ukraine Antonio Aguto, the Ministry of Defense reports. The parties discussed military plans for 2024, among the priorities are optimizing the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, improving the quality of training of the Ukrainian military, replenishing existing brigades and creating new ones, and ensuring regular needs for weapons and equipment. Separately, we discussed the constant increase in electronic warfare equipment in order to neutralize the threat of enemy drones, as well as ensuring the rotation of fighters at the front.

22:18 Ukraine has become one step closer to receiving Russian assets frozen in the West. The Council of the European Union approved a resolution that allows the use of profits from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation “to support Ukraine and its restoration and reconstruction at a later stage.” About what this means - in the EU material we are getting closer to confiscation.

21:56 Ukraine needs $42 billion in external financing this year, said IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva: “I’ll say it straight: Ukraine has earned the support of the international community with its very prudent internal actions. They collected taxes for 36% of GDP. I don’t know many countries that who do this even without war." She also noted that Ukraine managed to reduce inflation from 27% to 5% and restore prospects for economic growth, which now stands at 4.5%.

21:41 At tomorrow’s meeting in the Ramstein format there will be a report on the supply of F-16s, said the head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO Natalya Galibarenko. According to her, “spring 2024 is one of the realistic dates that we mentioned.”

20:33 In 2023, Putin, through his Arab partners, expressed his readiness to consider the possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine, writes Reuters. At the same time, Russia did not agree to retreat from the occupied territories of Ukraine. One of the interlocutors said that the Americans let Moscow know that they were not ready to discuss a possible ceasefire without the participation of Ukraine.

19:47 Today Syrsky and Umerov toured all the hot spots of the front, including the Avdeevskoye, Kupyanskoye, Limanskoye directions, Zelensky said in an evening video message. “They reported on the situation. They are solving existing problems: staffing units, strengthening, control. There will be reinforcement with drones, electronic warfare. Command positions will also be strengthened. There will be a detailed report later,” the president said.

He also announced a reboot of institutions, in particular the Defense Forces: “And today - the diplomatic forces. Lieutenant General Yevgeny Moisyuk has been appointed special commissioner and will be involved in the implementation of international guarantees for Ukraine in the field of security and the development of the Defense Forces. We are creating a fundamentally new "a system of security relations with the leading states of the world, and every element of such relations must be fully implemented. So that there is no declarativeness. There is already a security agreement with the UK, we are preparing new ambitious agreements, and not only with European forces."

19:32 The Russians shelled the village of Mikhailovka, Kherson region, two people were wounded, the OVA reported.

19:05 Throughout the day, the Russians fired artillery and attacked the Nikopol district of the Dnepropetrovsk region with kamikaze drones, said the head of the OVA Sergei Lysak. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed and two were injured. There is an entry into the territory of an industrial enterprise. An educational institution, a two-story house, and 13 private houses were also damaged.

18:57 Syrsky, in an interview with ZDF, announced a transition from offensive to defensive actions. “The goal of our operation is to exhaust the enemy, inflict maximum losses on him, using our fortifications, our advantages in technical terms, in terms of unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare, and holding prepared defense lines,” he explained.

In addition, according to the commander-in-chief, the war is entering a new stage thanks to technological progress. He spoke about the growing role of drones. So, now every officer has the opportunity to see the battlefield - and not a limited part, but the entire picture of combat operations. Syrsky also once again emphasized that “the life of a soldier is the main value,” so he is more likely to retreat from some position than to sacrifice all his personnel. The commander-in-chief claims that Russian losses in the war are 7-8 times higher than Ukrainian ones, since Russian commanders use “meat assault” tactics.

“Everything is based on the fact that we must end the war by reaching our borders. No other options are being considered, because we simply have no other choice,” Syrsky noted.

18:44 The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, admits that after the presidential elections in March, Russia could launch another big offensive in Ukraine: “Another big Russian offensive could begin a few months after the Russian elections in March. However, I am convinced that the Ukrainian people remains determined to continue the fight, and I have seen his ingenuity and resilience at work." The diplomat called on EU member states to work with their defense companies to review contracts and prioritize the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

18:09 Since the beginning of 2024, the government has allocated 20 billion hryvnia from the state budget reserve fund for fortification. Additional resources from other sources of financing amount to another 10.7 billion hryvnia, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said. He noted that the construction of strong defensive lines is one of the main goals of defense policy. They are built at the expense of the state budget reserve fund, at the expense of local budgets, military personal income tax and for charitable funds in a special account of the NBU.

17:28 Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Pyotr Andryushchenko told the details of today’s blow to the disposition of the Russians. According to him, the blow was struck between the. So far, all consumers in the Dnieper and the region have electricity, but “the power supply scheme is unreliable, because a very important source of electricity is missing, which significantly reduces the reliability of power supply,” Sakharuk added.

14:45 Russia may suffer heavy losses in armored vehicles for another three years, replacing them with old tanks, of which there are more than 4,000 in storage, the international Institute for Strategic Studies has calculated. According to analysts, the Russian Federation lost more than 3,000 tanks during the invasion of Ukraine, which is equivalent to its entire pre-war arsenal. At the same time, Moscow was able to replace quality with quantity, removing thousands of old tanks from warehouses at a rate of 90 tanks per month.

Experts note that Russia has 1,750 battle tanks, ranging from the 50s to the T-80 and T-90. Another 4,000 tanks are in storage. Analysts also predict that the “deadlock” in hostilities may continue through 2024.

Lawyers assessed the legality of the prosecution for the video with the Motherland monument
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Symbols of military glory include any monuments related to the theme of the Great Patriotic War, lawyers noted. In their opinion, although blogger Alena Agafonova did not commit “The Motherland is Calling!” in relation to the monument. in Volgograd of real actions, her persecution fit into established practice.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the investigation  reported the detention  of a resident of Samara, who in the summer of 2023 filmed a video on Mamayev Kurgan. In the video, the girl first pretends to touch the breast of the sculpture “The Motherland is Calling!” with her finger. and at the same time laughs hard. She then falls onto the grass at the foot of the monument. The suspect apologized. Blogger from Samara Alena Agafonova was arrested until March 10  for desecrating a symbol of military glory (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Rehabilitation of Nazism”). The investigation is close to completion, and the case will soon be sent to the prosecutor's office and the court, a representative of the department said.

Any monument related to the Great Patriotic War is considered a symbol of military glory, noted military lawyer Artem Mugunyants. "If the monument has something to do with the Great Patriotic War, then it is already a symbol of military glory. Moreover, this applies not only to the Great Patriotic War, but also to the First Patriotic War with Napoleon. If the monument has something to do with it, then it is a symbol of military glory. Therefore, here you should be very careful with monuments related to the war," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

At the same time, he notes that initiating a case against the blogger is contrary to the law. “There were no real actions, for example, pouring paint or performing other physical actions. There was only a movement towards the symbol. If we had international protection, we could have gone there and won the case. But unfortunately, we already have There is no such possibility,” he noted.

Mugunyants is confident that hooligan actions with symbols of military glory cannot be related to the rehabilitation of Nazism. “In Russia, justice has an accusatory and punitive nature. Since our state has become very touchy, one should not come close to monuments of military glory, one should not perform any actions against their background. Any action can be regarded as desecration and rehabilitation of Nazism. This is dangerous for your life and health,” he advised.

Moscow lawyer Evgeny Chernousov also notes that all monuments and sculptures dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War are symbols of military glory.

“There is federal law No. 32 “On days of military glory and memorable dates in Russia,” and all monuments that relate to memorable dates established by this law are considered symbols of military glory. Any desecration of these monuments may become the basis for initiating a criminal case,” - he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Practice shows that to initiate a criminal case it is not necessary to touch or touch a monument, he added. “You can shoot a video against the background of a monument and desecrate it. As various cases show, cases are initiated for various reasons, ranging from specific actions of desecration, ending with jokes against the background or addressed to military glory. Therefore, this case of a blogger from Samara is no different from the previous ones ", he pointed out.

The head of the Union of Committees of Soldiers' Mothers, Valentina Melnikova, on the contrary, notes that there is no list of monuments and sculptures recognized as symbols of military glory.

“There is no such list, there is no list of such monuments. This is the whole problem. All these criminal cases are from a series of crazy stories. Someone watched the video, he didn’t like it, and he wrote a denunciation against the blogger. And then the law enforcement agencies decided, that this is desecration. In this story, I don’t see anything other than illegal actions against her. It’s like with philological experts. Some expert decided that her actions desecrated the monument,” she told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

As for the article “Rehabilitation of Nazism”, in her opinion, since we are talking about a sculpture and not a memorial complex, this article is not applicable to the actions of the blogger. “As far as I remember, this is not a memorial complex, there are no burials there. These are just sculptures. There should be a special list of symbols of military glory, compiled, for example, by the Ministry of Culture. Do they have such a list? I haven’t seen it, I don’t know. That’s why all such stories end by what decision the investigation makes in each individual case,” she noted.

Air defence units shot down 63 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Kremenets, Aleksandrovka, Kleshcheyevka, Mezhevoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Lyubimovka, Dudchany (Kherson region), Basan (Zaporozhye region), as well as intercepted three HIMARS MLRS projectiles.

As of 12:40, artillery attack and detonation of ammunition continues.

12:31 Avdievka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces decided to take advantage of the darkness of the night and quietly rotate soldiers from the 9th quarter.

The plan was not bad, but our intelligence copied them. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had 13 dead, proving that evacuation was impossible.

11:40 Significant advances of our forces are reported in the plantings west of the village of Artemovskoye (Khromovo), just south of the Popovsky forest. The width of the offensive flank in the direction of Chasov Yar is steadily increasing.

11:11 Mi-28 crews completed hit of unguided aircraft missiles at the enemy control center and armored vehicles in the Donetsk direction. The forward air gunner confirmed the destruction of the target.

10:42 Situation in Avdievka on February 13:

The main part of the fighting continues to develop from three directions: from the side of the sand quarry towards Industrial Avenue, from the southeast to the northwest from the industrial zone into the depths of the private sector, and also from the south to the area of the Zenit position at the former air defense base (military unit A1428), where the boiler gradually begins to close. A significant part of the car depot and the neighboring industrial zone (including a metal structures plant) is still behind the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The plan for delivering a cutting strike, judging by the progress of the assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces, has not changed and continues to be executed as originally planned.

Statements about the blocking of Avdiivka, heard since yesterday, are still premature. For a physical blockade to take place, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces need to occupy the intersection of Industrialny Avenue and Privokzalny Lane. There are difficulties with advancement in the area of the Donetsk filtration station, which is still held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This position is critically important for the eastern flank, since its “folding” will lead to a straightening of the front and increased attacks from the Russian Armed Forces.

There really is a shortage of “roads of life”, and it feels like it has become much more difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to rotate not just between Avdievka and the Lastochkino-Orlovka section, but also within city blocks. In general, this indicates a violation of the command and control system and a growing shortage of people and ammunition.

Due to the fact that heavy equipment can no longer safely move between Avdiivka and Orlovka, all military cargo of the Ukrainian Armed Forces again fell on “mosquito logistics” - unarmored pickup trucks, which previously became the last nail in the coffin of the Ukrainian group in Artyomovsk. It was also used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zaporozhye and on the Vrem'evsky salient with an equally natural and inevitably negative result.

About two months passed between the beginning of the use of “mosquito logistics” and the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Artyomovsk, but in Avdeevka, the roads around which are controlled not only by artillery and Ka-52 helicopters, but also by operational-tactical aviation with FAB-500 adjustable bombs, events are developing much more faster.

10:35 Situation on the Rabotino-Verbovoye section at 10:30:

Despite the low clouds and periodic bursts of rain, the enemy is actively conducting reconnaissance from UAVs. Artillery is operating along the entire section of the front, conducting harassing fire, and also artillery attack planned targets.

Near Rabotino, the Russian army continues to attack the enemy. In the Novoprokopovka area, our fighters successfully advanced and captured several strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At Verbovoy, the Russian Armed Forces are actively putting pressure on the enemy’s defenses. The enemy desperately resists and regularly launches counterattacks. There are oncoming battles
.

10:20 The DPR Representation in the JCCC recorded the release of high explosives from a drone in the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka today at 8:00.

10:15 Over the past 24 hours, over Donetsk, Makeevka and Yasinovataya, downed 30 Ukrainian drones.

According to the Defense Headquarters, 9 of these “flying wing” reconnaissance drones were intercepted over one of the rear military units.

10:05 Statement of Head of the press center of the "South" group:

Units of the “Southern” group of forces successfully repelled 13 attacks by assault groups of the 42nd Mechanized, 79th Airborne Assault, 81st Airmobile brigades and the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Bogdanovka, Georgievka and Belogorovka.

With the support of air strikes and artillery fire, they occupied more advantageous lines and positions.

The enemy in the Donetsk direction lost up to 240 military personnel wounded and killed.

A tank, three vehicles, and two field artillery ammunition depots were hit by anti-tank guided systems, loitering ammunition and artillery.

During the counter-battery fight, two American-made 155mm M777 howitzers and a 152mm D-20 howitzer were destroyed.

09:41 The criminal Kiev regime continues to shell the civilian infrastructure of settlements on the left bank of the Kherson region, yesterday during the day the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired cannon artillery:

-- n.p. Alyosha five rounds;

-- n.p. Podlesnoye two rounds;

-- n.p. Kazachi Lagery five rounds;

-- n.p. Solonetz three rounds;

-- n.p. Sergeevka two rounds.

During the night, the Kiev regime continued to shell civilian infrastructure in the village. Novata Lagerya, n.p. Korsunka, n.p. Aleshki, n.p. Dnepryan, firing a total of 18 rounds from cannon artillery.

Civilian casualties and destruction of infrastructure are being determined.

09:25 Front-line report as of February 13 from military correspondent Evgeny Lisitsyn

Donetsk direction:
The Russian Armed Forces continue their offensive in the north of Avdeevka, where fighting is taking place in the area of ??Industrial Avenue and the railway station. According to received data, the 3rd assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, consisting of Azov* fighters, is heading towards the city for so-called “reinforcements”.

Positional battles are taking place on the southern outskirts of the city. Avdievka was practically broken in half during the offensive actions of our fighters. In Pervomaisk, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the central part of the village.

In the Orekhovsky sector, our troops returned part of the positions northeast of Novoprokopovka. The situation on the Vremevsky salient remains unchanged.

Bakhmut direction:
Our forces are advancing south of Bogdanovka in the direction of Chasov Yar and east of Kleshcheevka. There is also progress in the Andreevka area.

Svatovo-Kremennoe direction:
On the Tor ledge the situation remains without major changes. Our troops are gradually advancing on the outskirts of Belogorovka.

08:47 Military investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee recorded artillery attack of the territory of the DPR.

Thus, within 24 hours, the VFU, using 155mm caliber artillery, including with a cluster warhead, fired at the Kuibyshevsky, Kirovsky, Petrovsky districts of Donetsk, the Chervonogvardeysky and Sovetsky districts of Makeyevka, the Yasinovatsky district and the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, and also recorded in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk dropping an explosive object from a UAV.

In addition, there are casualties among the civilian population in the village. Pervomaiskoye, a woman born in 1941 was wounded. and in the village Avdeevka, a man born in 1954 was wounded.

In total, two residential buildings and one civilian infrastructure facility were damaged by artillery attack in the DPR.

08:19 Avdeevskoe direction:

Cards the enemy clearly shows the reasons for the panic among the enemy’s military analysts.

The city is “cut” into two parts, the advance of the Russian Armed Forces complicates the enemy’s logistics in the south-eastern part, many FABs with UMPC are used against enemy positions, and our artillery is working.

At the same time, the enemy puts up fierce resistance, in conditions of limited access to the overall picture, “everyone holds his own position.”

In fact, Avdievka is turning into a new giant fire sack. Heavy fighting is going on.

08:11 FSB discovered cache with weapons and secret documentation of the SBU in Mariupol

An RPG-7 grenade launcher, a PKM machine gun, an AK-74 assault rifle, as well as secret documents were seized from the cache.

The papers have been sent for examination, and additional verification activities are being carried out.

08:00 Summary on the morning of February 13, 2024:

During the first half of the night, the Russian Armed Forces carried out strikes with Geranium UAVs on enemy targets in the Dnepropetrovsk and Kherson regions. In the Kherson direction there is a hunt for enemy UAV operators, strikes are being carried out on the enemy’s shore, incl. in the Berislav area. There are no changes to the LBS, the enemy holds part of the settlement. Krynki.

On the Zaporozhye Front, enemy resources reported the alleged occupation of a forested field south of Kamensky, which is regularly attacked by our artillery, incl. reactive. Rabotino and Verbovoy have opposing battles.

People instead of mice. Ukraine was turned into a testing ground for biological testing
Direct Translation via Googler Translate. Edited.
by Mikhail Zakharov

[REGNUM] The West is using Ukraine as a testing ground for biological weapons, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky said recently. According to the politician, the country has become a place for Western companies to carry out savage tests on civilians, prisoners and wounded, for which there is documentary evidence.

The Kiev regime, in fact, does not hide the fact that, together with the NATO countries, it considers its territory, together with its population, as a convenient laboratory with experimental subjects for numerous tests conducted by Western “researchers.”

In 2023, Alexei Reznikov, who was then the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, bluntly said that “ you can’t imagine a better training ground for the military industry of the world.” Mr. Reznikov was still embarrassed to directly call the Ukrainians experimental mice, but this does not change the essence of the matter.

Kyiv is paying with its own citizens for Western aid, knowing that any condemnation by the allies will be a mere formality. And facts confirming this are regularly found by the Russian military in the liberated territories.

HEIRS OF DR. MENGELE
As Vodolatsky notes, Western pharmaceutical companies, through their agencies, have actually turned Ukraine into a testing ground for drugs. Many of these facts have already been documented, but, obviously, in the future we will receive even more accurate data about what the Ukrainian authorities have been and are doing with the support of Western interests.

Just the other day, for example, it became known that European and American pharmaceutical companies, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sanofi and Merck KGaA, have been testing drugs on patients in the psychiatric department of Hospital No. 7 in Mariupol for several years. The effectiveness of the drugs was assessed, among other things, on infants and children aged from one to 11 years.

“ The documents found in the Mariupol hospital once again confirm the conclusions of our military and doctors about the activities of Western biological laboratories in Ukraine,” political scientist, leading researcher at the department of social and political research at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Fedorov commented on this information for Regnum. “That is, residents were used as experimental subjects for testing drugs that were just being prepared for production.”

The Mariupol experiments were hardly something out of the ordinary for Ukrainian doctors and authorities - rather, another column on the list of drug trials on humans. Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense say that Ukraine has long been a testing ground not only for testing new pharmacological products, but also for the development of biological weapons components.

The head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the RF Armed Forces, Igor Kirillov, previously noted : during the military defense on Ukrainian territory, facts were discovered of working with pathogens (as deadly as cholera, tularemia, plague, hantaviruses), which are potential agents of biological weapons. At the same time, the tasks of Ukrainian government agencies are, among other things, to provide the necessary biomaterial and conceal illegal activities, Kirillov explained.

DISASSEMBLING FOR “SPARE PARTS”
“Everything can be sold.” It seems that this is precisely the motto of Kyiv, which does not disdain any product. Even human, because parts of the bodies of living people have their own buyers from the industry for their extraction. In Ukraine, organs are sold both online and offline, as previously stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

From recent examples: in early February, in the territory of Severodonetsk (which was under the control of Kiev militants until the summer of 2022) in the Lugansk People's Republic, documents were found indicating that organ transplantation in Ukraine was put on stream. During the battles for the city and its environs, “black transplantologists” actively “worked” in the local morgue, and then the results of their “works” were discovered - the bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers with traces of an autopsy and removal of organs.

Similar evidence came from other regions of Ukraine. The corpses of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers without internal organs were seen, in particular, in the morgues of Nikolaev and Kherson. According to sources, hunters for body parts of Ukrainian military personnel are actively working under the guise of foreign volunteer and charitable organizations.

“ The sale of organs, even in peacetime, was put on stream,” says Elena Shishkina, chairman of the DPR Committee on Criminal and Administrative Legislation. It is not surprising that after the start of the SVO, such activities only expanded even more widely, when, as noted by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, the shadow market for the purchase of human organs by Europe from Ukraine became more active.

Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova noted that the turnover of the network of such transplantology in Ukraine reaches 2 billion dollars, which is 7% of state budget revenues, and the country itself occupies an “honorable” first place in the black market of organs.

However, it is not difficult to predict the further development of the situation. The impoverishment and criminalization of Ukrainian society, its corruption, a large number of “unaccountable” internal migrants and victims of “criminal catchers” from the TCC will be able to provide Kyiv with such dubious leadership for a long time.

UNIVERSAL LABORATORY
The fate of those Ukrainians who have not yet been “disassembled for spare parts” for Western recipients or who have not died from the experiments of vivisectors can also hardly be called calm. Kyiv has prepared many other tests for them, because Western “partners” are ready to test a very, very considerable number of ideas and schemes on this platform.

From NATO testing methods of fighting Russia in the digital space to the use of depleted uranium shells on the country’s territory, from child trafficking to the sale of state assets to foreign banks and funds: any “mutually beneficial cooperation” is used.

The task of Ukrainian political figures is to earn political capital in the West in order to convert it into concrete capital in their accounts, notes political scientist Vladimir Kornilov. Western countries treat Ukraine as a resource, but are completely indifferent to the fate of Ukrainians, the expert continues.

In the West, however, they don’t really hide this; on the contrary, they are proud of their laboratory. The other day, The Time reported that Western technology companies are using the country as a testing ground for their new developments, presenting it as a successful collaboration between the foreign IT sector and the Ukrainian armed forces.

The magazine's story, however, puts it bluntly: those companies that are willing to act quickly and break legal, ethical, or regulatory norms will be the ones that will make the biggest technological breakthroughs. It is not surprising that giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and smaller firms like Palantir Technologies, which works with data analysis, rushed to Ukraine, where such nice conventions can be ignored.

At the same time, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, says this: “Our big mission is to make Ukraine a global laboratory for technological research and development.” Commendable candor. The only question is how many subjects in this laboratory will survive to the end of the experiments.

This situation is an absolutely natural result of the development of a country that was moving from gained independence to a complete loss of sovereignty. In a conversation with Regnum news agency, political scientist Vladimir Skachko notes that over the past years, thanks to the efforts of the West, a whole class of people now running the state has appeared there, who are completely unrelated to the national interests of this country and the interests of its population.

“ If a country is completely deprived of any sovereignty, political, economic, spiritual, military, cultural, then such a country is ruled by a colonial administration, even recruited or trained purposefully from the natives, from autochthonous aborigines, and the bulk of the population is used as consumables or as experimental subjects rabbits,” says the expert.

And the main task of the ruling class is to create a kind of self-producing caste, for which everyone else is just a resource for feeding.

Sukharevsky, who fired the first shot in Donbass in 2014, is appointed Syrsky’s deputy.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Colonel Vadim Sukharevsky, who in 2014 gave the order to open fire against an armed detachment in the Donbass, was appointed by the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky as deputy commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. This was reported by Hromadske Television.

Sukharevsky, known under the call sign Barsuk, on April 13, 2014 led the 3rd company of the 80th Airmobile Brigade in the vicinity of Slavyansk, near the village of Semyonovka. After the capture of the police station in Slavyansk by Igor Strelkov's (AKA Igor Girkin Girkin) detachment, Sukharevsky was ordered not to open fire. This decision was due to fears of a repeat of the events at Euromaidan, where police officers were arrested after the shooting.

But SBU special forces and paratroopers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were attacked by supporters of secession from Ukraine. Sukharevsky gave the order to intervene.

At his command, the Ukrainian military moved forward in an armored personnel carrier, Sukharevsky sat in the gunner’s place so that all responsibility for this decision would rest with him.

“I decided to open lethal fire myself,” Badger previously told the media.

Subsequently, his actions that day were assessed as an act of heroism, and in June 2022 he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

In his new position, Sukharevsky will be responsible for drones and the development of the use of drones in the Kyiv army.

As Regnum reported, the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, may undertake operations that are extremely dangerous for the state of the Ukrainian army in order to curry favor with Zelensky. In particular, for media victories. So says former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Georgy Tuka.

Alexander Syrsky is known in the ranks of the Ukrainian army as a commander who does not take losses into account; another “meat grinder” organized by him cannot be ruled out, said the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

DPR deputy Pleten: a brigade of 'Azovites' was sent to Avdievka to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

I suspect allies of Azov, or Azov raw recruits are there. Otherwise, the Russian military would be jumping through their asses for a crack at them.

[Regnum] The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deployed a brigade consisting of Azov militants (a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) to Avdievka. The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, “doesn’t care” that militants will not be taken prisoner, said Dmitry Pleten, deputy of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

“We must understand that the fighters of the First Army Corps most likely will not take Azov soldiers prisoner.” But these losses are not important to Zelensky, and they are also not important to overseas commanders. Once again the idea is confirmed that NATO will fight with Russia until the last Ukrainian,” RIA Novosti reports the words of the deputy.

As the deputy notes, the attempt to retain Avdievka is Zelensky’s desire to maintain attention from the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). However, he said, everyone is aware of how "Americans easily turn away from their henchmen when they no longer need her."

At the same time, Pleten added that Zelensky most likely no longer has a choice, since the defeat of Kyiv is “inevitable and predictable,” and the head of the Kyiv regime is only “delaying his shameful end.”

Earlier, the American magazine Forbes reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were transferring one of their best brigades to the Avdievka direction in order to prevent Russian troops from breaking through the defense line. According to the publication, Kyiv is trying to strengthen its units in the DPR. The article notes that the 3rd assault brigade is the only ground brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that is known to be in reserve as of last week.

It was noted that Kyiv was taking a huge risk by deciding to leave its troops in Avdievka and take the fight.

In a conversation with IA Regnum, the head of the department of political analysis and socio-psychological processes of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Andrei Koshkin, expressed the opinion that the Russian Armed Forces need to prepare for a serious rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdievka direction and for fierce combat operations.

He noted that the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, when appointing him to this position, promised Zelensky to keep Avdievka. Therefore, now one can observe how General 200 (as Syrsky is called by the media and the military due to the huge losses of personnel) is ready to transfer new forces to the Avdievka direction in order to keep his promise, the military expert explained.

At the same time, the German newspaper Bild reported on February 1 that the then commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, wanted to withdraw troops from Avdievka, but Zelensky was against it. According to journalists, Zaluzhny intended to straighten the front by withdrawing troops, but did not receive approval from the country's leadership.

In turn, Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 31 named Avdievka as one of the most important areas where hostilities are currently taking place.

Story could variously be titled: Col. Gen. Syrsky's First Big Headache as Top Dawg

[ColonelCassad] According to Selidovo.

1. Of course, there are no 1,500 killed there. This is approximately how much was on the training ground in formation at the time of the impact.

There is no objective data yet on exactly how many of them were killed and how many were wounded. For now, we can say that the enemy suffered serious one-time losses in manpower - one of the largest in the last year.

2. The fact that the calculation was to destroy manpower is evidenced by a cascade of strikes, including the use of cluster munitions. This may be one of the most effective uses of cluster munitions in the entire war.

3. The enemy will, of course, look for those residents in the territories occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces who led the attack, since such attacks are usually associated with both technical reconnaissance work and additional guidance on the ground, so it is not surprising that the SBU is looking for who helped lead the attack.

4. The enemy will traditionally keep secret and underestimate losses, and they will try to spread the total number over time. Specialists tracking obituaries are already at a low start. I would not exclude the possibility that some of the corpses will be kept in refrigerators for some time or even declared “missing near Avdievka.” And then you don’t have to pay money and you don’t have to admit big numbers.

Russian Army dealt a powerful blow to the Ukrainian Armed Forces training ground; Commander-in-Chief Syrsky classified information about losses

RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan reported that the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, ordered the classification of data on the losses of the Ukrainian side as a result of a powerful strike by the Russian Army on the training camp of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Selidovo (part of the DPR occupied by Kiev).
All militaries refuse to report sharp reverses, and the Russian military is no different.
“They write from Ukraine that Syrsky prohibited any information about losses in Selidovo, where our forces struck powerfully.

There they trained a horde of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Avdievka. They write about 1,500 people,” Simonyan clarified on Telegram.

More details via Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets.
Strike at Selidovo

Syrsky began with a fiasco.

A powerful complex missile strike was reported on a military training ground in Selidovo (on the territory of the DPR, controlled by Kiev). The reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were covered during the formation. The Russian army used several Iskander missiles with a cassette part and added the Smerch MLRS, also with a cassette part. And later they additionally duplicated the blow. The first strike was struck at about 11.30.

At the training ground, experienced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine underwent combat coordination for the further relief of Avdievka. There were more than a thousand personnel at that time (1,000-1,500 military personnel). Presumably, it was the Azov 3rd Assault Elite Brigade, recently sent by Syrsky as reinforcements, that was attacked.
Which explains the motivation for the artillery strike. Emphasis mine.
The warhead of each Iskander missile includes 54 submunitions. Each of them contains a little more than 300 damaging elements. That is, in total, the missile warhead contains more than 17,000 destructive elements. The warhead "opens up" about two km from the ground, and the submunitions scatter. And they, too, detonate near the ground. As a result, the affected area there is up to 17 hectares per missile. To understand, 1 hectare is a little more than 2 football fields. Here is one Iskander cluster warhead mowing down infantry over an area of 34 football fields.

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maryana Bezuglaya stated that (after the incident in Selidovo) mass checks began in the Armed Forces of Ukraine - from the General Staff to those responsible “on the ground.”

The city is completely closed to entry and exit; there are many ambulances and corpse trucks near the landfill. The enemy's military leadership is completely at a loss. The number of Ukrovermacht losses apparently runs into hundreds and hundreds. It can be stated that the enemy suffered serious one-time losses in manpower. There is deathly silence on Ukrainian public pages. Apparently they are thinking about how to react. But it is clear that the strike itself will be hushed up as much as possible, and the death toll will be underestimated as much as possible.

WHY DID THE UKRAINIAN ARMED FORCES CONCENTRATE IN SELIDOVO?
The city is conveniently located in relation to both the current front line and the main transport communications. To the north of the settlement lies the E-50 highway, and to the west, in the Vishnevoye area, there is a railway line that goes to Pokrovsk and further to Pavlograd or Zaporozhye.

Also, the enterprises and mines in the north of Selidov are approached by railway lines that go north through Novogrodovka and further to Pokrovsk.

In addition, Selidov itself once had a developed industry: three mines, a processing plant, a reinforced concrete structures plant and others. Now the enterprises are not operating, but the capital buildings have been preserved. They provide a lot of opportunities for the secret placement of personnel, military equipment, ammunition and military equipment. How about "secretive"? Results on the face.

Tarnavskyi refutes the fake Russians about the alleged losses of the Defense Forces near Selidov in Donetsk region

The commander stated that this is how the occupiers divert attention from their daily colossal losses in the Taurian direction.

Tarnavskyi refuted the fake Russians about the alleged losses of the Defense Forces near Selidov in Donetsk region

The commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi denied the fake Russian propaganda about the alleged losses of the Defense Forces near Selidov in Donetsk region.

According to Tarnavskyi's post in the telegram, this Russian IPSO is intended to divert attention from the heavy losses of the Russians in the Tauri direction. "They numbered 645 people only on the day of February 12, and for the previous week (from February 5 to 11) - 2,947 people," the commander emphasized.

Tarnavsky also informed about the Russian shelling of the village of Tsukuryne, Pokrovsky District. The enemy attacked the settlement around 10:40 a.m. on February 13. "Employees of the State Emergency Service inspected the area and established that as a result of the shelling, 2 multi-apartment two-story residential buildings on Svitla Street and a passenger car were damaged. There were no casualties or deaths," the commander added.

According to Tarnavskyi, during the past day, on February 12, the Russians in the Tavri direction have inflicted the largest number of air and artillery strikes since the beginning of the year. The intensity of the fighting is increasing.

Russian Armed Forces cut the key supply route for the Avdievka garrison
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

[C9lonelCassad] Over the past 24 hours, our attack aircraft have broken through the enemy’s defenses south of the coke plant and reached Industrial Avenue.

The key supply road for the Avdievka garrison has been cut. The information is confirmed by enemy sources.

Now those who live south of Koksokhim have essentially only one road left, which goes through Orlovka to the Khimik microdistrict.

In the coming week, we can expect attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counterattack on the flanks in order to stabilize the deteriorating situation in Avdievka.

More details from Russkaya Vesna:
“General Frost and Colonel Fog” help the Russians: they break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdeevka from the north and south

The analytical resource DS, working for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, publishes analytics on the situation in Avdievka:

“The Russians have two allies - General Frost and Colonel Fog. It is these factors that Muscovites often use when carrying out assaults; the latter played an important role in the last days in the battle for Avdeevka.

On February 10–11, the Russian Armed Forces, taking advantage of the fact that the fog covered Avdeevka and the surrounding area, began assault operations in many places. Yesterday there was a saturation of personnel, and one Russian military and military equipment almost reached Industrial Avenue.

Today they increased the pressure. In particular, attacking Zenit (a fortified area based on an air defense base), attacks on which were repelled, unlike the flanks. In the north, the Russians are pushing through the area of dachas and car depots. Thus, they managed to cut the route, which was already dangerous to use.

The situation in Avdievka is getting worse every day. Logistics today is completely under enemy fire control, as a result of which entering and leaving the city is a lottery. Decisions should be made that will, first of all, save the lives of soldiers, and not turn Avdiivka into another “fortress” with songs and poems.”

And militants from the Omega unit report: “Yes, unfortunately, the enemy was able to get to the same road. The situation has deteriorated significantly, logistics need a solution! We are very worried about the guys who are there now, but we believe and hope that we will be able to correct the situation.”

Even more from Russkaya Vesna:
The Russian army cut Avdeevka in half (MAP)

The Russian army cut Avdeevka in half, cutting off the south of the city!

Now the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern part of the city is under enormous threat. Resources working for the Armed Forces of Ukraine write about this in panic, publishing maps of the changed situation.

Also before this, the Ukrainian military correspondent reported that the “Road of Life” had been cut by Russian soldiers.

Now, on the enemy maps, the Russian Armed Forces occupied the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the motor depot and reached the edge of Avdievka - Industrial Avenue, now advancing in both directions against the Armed Forces of Ukraine grouping divided into 2 parts.

Even in the morning, Ukrainian analysts reported that “in the northern part of Avdievka there are battles in the area of the western dachas, the motor depot, along Chistyakov Street and the 50th Anniversary AKHZ Lane.”

“In the south of Avdievka, Russian troops continue assault operations along Sobornaya, Chernyshevsky streets and in the area of the Vineyards 2 gardening community.”

Now much of this is under the control of the Russian army.

Prime Minister of Estonia is wanted in Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets

The reason for putting Estonian Prime Minister Kai Kallas and a number of other officials from the Baltic countries on the wanted list was the outrage against historical memory for the destruction of monuments to Soviet soldiers.

If the extraterritoriality of American legislation is perceived as normal by its lackeys, then the extraterritoriality of Russian legislation should be the norm for them.

It is clear that Callas will not bear actual responsibility for what is happening to the historical memory in her country. But to indicate her place in Russian foreign policy, Callas, to demonstrate that no one else will do business with her, either now or in the future - this is the message for people like her. It is necessary to put everyone who is an accomplice of Nazism on the wanted list.

Deputies who voted to withdraw from the international agreement on the protection of monuments, as well as Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, are included in the list of wanted people.

In total, 59 Estonian deputies were put on the wanted list, having previously voted to break the agreement on the protection of monuments. These include current members of the cabinet: Latvian Minister of Agriculture Armands Krause, Minister of Finance Arvil Asheradens, as well as Minister of Justice Inese Libiņa-Egnere.

Now, firstly, it becomes clear to everyone that if a criminal case has been opened against the Prime Minister of Estonia, then criminal cases can also be opened against others, for example, those who participated in crimes against Soviet monuments and the rehabilitation of Nazism.

Secondly, the position of Prime Minister of Estonia is not for life and one day Kaja Kallas will cease to be Prime Minister, but the criminal case will not go away. Thirdly, it is clear that the United States and the EU will not extradite Kaya Callas to Russia, but the same cannot be said about other countries that can detain her and hand her over to Russian law enforcement agencies.

So, many will now wonder whether they need such problems for the rest of their lives and whether it is worth demolishing the Soviet monument, and then living the rest of their lives in fear that one day you will end up in a Russian prison.

Estonian Prime Minister Kallas, who has been put on the wanted list by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, said that she will not remain silent

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas commented on her being put on the wanted list in Russia and said that the Russian authorities will not be able to “silence” her.

“The Kremlin hopes that these actions will help silence me and others, but this is not the case,” Kallas said. She is quoted by Reuters.

As Regnum reported earlier, on February 13, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put a number of leaders of the Baltic countries on the wanted list, including Kallas, Estonian Secretary of State Taimar Peterkop, Latvian Ministers of Finance, Justice and Agriculture Arvils Asheradens, Inese Libinu-Egner and Armands Krause, Lithuanian Minister of Culture Simonas Kairisa.

According to media sources in law enforcement agencies, these leaders of the Baltic countries are wanted as part of a criminal case regarding the destruction and damage of monuments to Soviet soldiers. These politicians initiated and approved decisions that allowed the monuments to be destroyed.

Kallas and other Estonian politicians of this country are responsible for decisions that are an outrage against historical memory, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters, commenting on the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Callas and Peterkop were put on the wanted list in Russia for the destruction of monuments to Soviet soldiers; these and other officials will have to answer for crimes against the memory of the liberators of the world from Nazism and fascism, noted in turn the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

The Prime Minister of Estonia previously made a number of sharp Russophobic statements. In particular, she called Russia “the last colonial power in the world” and said that the Russians had never suffered from war. She also stated that Tallinn will not finance education for its citizens in Russian and noted that the Estonian authorities are looking for a way to deport residents of the country who want to obtain Russian citizenship.

Canada explains the refusal to extradite Nazi Gunka by the lack of an agreement with the Russian Federation
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Canada motivated its refusal to extradite 98-year-old Nazi Yaroslav Hunka (Gunka) to Russia by the absence of an extradition treaty with the Russian Federation, said Russian Ambassador to Ottawa Oleg Stepanov on February 13.

“The formal (reason for refusal of extradition - Ed.) is the absence of an extradition treaty,” the diplomat said. He is quoted by TASS.

As Regnum reported earlier, Stepanov also said that Russian diplomats will hold a meeting at the Canadian Foreign Ministry on February 13 in connection with the receipt of a note in which the Canadian side refused to extradite Hunka.

The media, citing informed sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported Canada’s refusal to extradite Hunka to Russia on February 13.

Hunka, a native of the village of Uman (then the Second Polish Republic), was part of a group of 12 thousand people that was formed by the Nazis in 1943 in the Lviv region for the mass murder of Soviet civilians. He participated in large-scale executions of civilians in the region, including the murder of at least 500 USSR citizens in one of the regional villages.

On September 21, 2023, Yaroslav Hunka was invited to a meeting of the Canadian Parliament dedicated to the visit of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada Anthony Rota, to the applause of the audience (including Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ), introduced Hunka as a fighter for Ukrainian independence against the Russians during the Second World War. Later, representatives of the Canadian opposition stated that Huncu was personally invited to parliament by Trudeau.

In December 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation addressed the Canadian authorities with a request to extradite Hunka. The Investigative Committee of Russia charged him in absentia with genocide of civilians in the USSR during the Great Patriotic War.

In February 2023, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that applause for the Nazi Huncke in the Canadian Parliament indicates that Hitler’s cause lives on, and denazification remains an urgent task.

Russian Ambassador will hold a meeting at the Canadian Foreign Ministry after the refusal to extradite Nazi Gunka

The Russian Embassy in Ottawa will hold a meeting on February 13 at the Canadian Foreign Ministry after refusing to extradite former SS man, Ukrainian Nazi and collaborator Yaroslav Gunka. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov.

“A conversation is planned at the Canadian Foreign Ministry today,” TASS reports Stepanov’s words.

The diplomat added that the Canadian leadership explained its refusal to extradite the Nazi to the Russian side by the absence of an extradition treaty between the countries.

As Regnum reported, on February 13, Canadian authorities refused to extradite Gunka to Russia.

According to documents, Gunka, a native of the village of Uman in the then Second Polish Republic, was part of a group of 12 thousand people. It was formed in 1943 in the Lvov region by the Nazis for the “mass murder of Soviet civilians.” He participated in large-scale executions of civilians in the region, including the murder of at least 500 USSR citizens in one of the regional villages.

On September 21, 2023, 98-year-old Yaroslav Gunka was invited to a meeting of the Canadian Parliament dedicated to the visit of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky. Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada Anthony Rota, to the applause of the audience (including Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ), introduced Gunka as a fighter for Ukrainian independence against the Russians during the Second World War.

On September 28, the Canadian diplomatic mission sent an apology to the head of the Kyiv regime and the residents of Ukraine for honoring a Ukrainian in parliament. At the same time, Trudeau did not apologize to Zelensky on his own behalf and said that he did this on behalf of “parliamentarians and Canadians.” The Speaker of the Canadian Parliament, Rota, also apologized for the scandalous situation and decided to resign from his post after the incident.

In December, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office addressed the Canadian authorities with a request to extradite Gunka. And the Investigative Committee of Russia charged him in absentia with genocide of civilians in the USSR during the Great Patriotic War.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson, published on February 8, said that the applause of the Nazi Gunka in the Canadian Parliament in September 2023 suggests that Hitler’s cause lives on and denazification, the complete eradication of ideology, is necessary.

Ambassador Stepanov: Canada's refusal to extradite Nazi Gunka is politically motivated

The Russian diplomatic mission received a note from the Canadian Foreign Ministry refusing to extradite to Moscow 98-year-old Ukrainian nationalist Yaroslav Gunka (Hunka), against whom a criminal case has been opened in Russia. This was announced on February 13 by the Russian Ambassador to Ottawa Oleg Stepanov.

Earlier, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the Canadian authorities refused to extradite Gunka under the pretext of the absence of a bilateral extradition treaty.

“We received the note,” Stepanov told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the note contains an obvious politically motivated excuse. However, Russia will continue to seek justice, so the plot with Gunka is “far from over.”

As Regnum reported, in September 2023, Gunka was invited to the Canadian parliament on the occasion of the visit of the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to the country. Gunka was introduced to the applauding audience as a veteran of the “struggle against the Russians,” after which it turned out that he was part of the SS Galicia division, which was staffed by Ukrainian nationalists.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu demanded Gunka's extradition. He instructed to work out and send the corresponding request to Ottawa. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put the 98-year-old Ukrainian nationalist on the wanted list.
