Michigan city commissioners fired after flying Pride flag in violation of 'rule of law'
[NYPOST] Two Hamtramck, Michigan, commissioners were fired from their positions after they flew a Pride flag on city property.

The Hamtramck City Council on Tuesday voted to remove Russ Gordon and Cathy Stackpoole from the Hamtramck Human Relations Commission.

The Council sent Fox News Digital a statement saying that the commissioners had defied the "rule of law."

"This Council believes in fairness, neutrality towards our residents, and the rule of law, amongst other things for this community. We passed a resolution recently to do just that, and two of our sworn commissioners outright defied it, and did what they wanted," Council member Khalil Refai said in the statement.

Refai went on to say, "We were elected by the people of the community to make these decisions, and they not only violated the resolution but the trust of the whole community by doing this. For this reason, Council felt the appropriate response was to remove them from their public positions of trust."

This move came after the Council voted to remove the commission’s authority to fly flags on city property on June 13.

The Council voted to ban Pride flags, among others, due to opposition from religious groups who disagree with the ideology represented by the symbol.
Specifically the Moslems, who are now not only in the majority, population-wise, but have matured enough as a community to get themselves elected to run things in the way that makes them happy — much to the dismay of the Progressives who were so happy to bring them into the local government.

#1  Given City Governments Officially fly 2 sometime 3 flags (US, State and sometimes a city flag) that represent the WHOLE Community.

Hoisting up a flag that only represents may 4-5% of the community. While, likely opposing 50-60+% of the community was a dumb, but typical narrow minded Far Left move.

What if the commissioners had hoisted a MAGA flag?
Wouldn't the LGBT? types be demanding any commissioner heads?

1st rule of politics.

#7  Why are Russ Gordon and Cathy Stackpoole so Islamophobic?

Seriously, this dyamic duo have finally run up against a group that means what they say and don't helplessly ignore open defiance. Finally.

US Virgin Islands demands $190M grift from JPMorgan in Jeffrey Epstein case
[NYPOST] The US Virgin Islands said it wants JPMorgan Chase to pay at least $190 million to resolve a lawsuit accusing the largest US bank of ignoring the disgraced late financier Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein
...A high class pimp financier who was alleged to maintain a stable of underage whores sex slaves who were paid big bucks to entertain the rich and/or famous. He was really surprised when he commited suiciede...
’s sex trafficking.

In a Friday filing in federal court in Manhattan, the territory said it wants JPMorgan to pay a $150 million civil fine, and give up at least $40 million from its 15-year relationship with Epstein.

It also wants JPMorgan to pay compensatory damages suffered by Epstein’s victims, as well as punitive damages.

A large payout is appropriate because JPMorgan "lacked the economic incentive and motivation to place compliance with the law and prevention of trafficking ahead of its own profits," the territory’s lawyer said in the filing.

JPMorgan did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Friday’s letter marks the first time the US Virgin Islands has put a dollar figure on any sum it wants JPMorgan to pay for relationship with Epstein.

The territory wants JPMorgan held liable for providing banking services to Epstein from 1998 to 2013, enabling him to pay his victims, and ignoring internal warnings and other red flags because it valued him as a wealthy client.

I'm hard pressed to figure out how exactly the territory of USVI suffered any damages here.

‘Climate Czar' John Kerry Flies to China for (Another) Meeting with World's Biggest Polluter
[Breitbart] U.S. climate envoy John Kerry touched down in China on Sunday after flying to Beijing aboard a carbon-spewing jet for yet another series of talks with the world’s single largest producer of greenhouse gases.

His flight comes just days after Kerry appeared before a congressional hearing and was roundly criticized for constantly jetting around the world trying to explain why other people shouldn’t use jets.

The former senator and failed presidential candidate’s trip to Beijing follows two other high-profile visits by U.S. officials — first Secretary of State Antony Blinken, then Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen — as part of the White House’s desire to smooth relations with the Chinese Communist government ahead of the 2024 presidential election, as Breitbart News reported.

AFP reports Kerry will aim to use his time in Beijing to engage with Chinese officials "with respect to increasing implementation and ambition and promoting a successful COP28", the State Department said, referring to the U.N. climate talks in November.

As Breitbart News reported, Kerry is no stranger to long-haul flying in his job as Joe Biden’s climate negotiator.

#2  We must keep in mind one of several reasons the CCP is such a major world player & polluter. Is because US Businesses seeking to avoid always US-TAXES, EPA, state Social Legal issues and US Union Wages, found CCP a heaven for profits and more stability.

Sure we have taught the CCP everything they need to know in how to control the USA and most of the free World.

#3  Let 'em pollute. Coal is cheap and efficient and drives economic prosperity. Just ask the UK and the US. Even Germany. Would we have had the economic prosperity without coal?

BTW, I believe we still have another 500 years of it here in the US.
