African immigrants colonists seeking a better life in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... often place their hopes on crossing the treacherous waters of the Mediterranean. However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... for many, their dreams end in a tragic fate as they drown during their difficult journey.
One haunting image of this ongoing tragedy captures the moment a Tunisian fisherman casts his net into the sea, only to discover the lifeless bodies of drowned immigrants colonists instead of a bountiful fish catch.
Osama al-Dabibi, a 30-year-old fisherman, now plies his trade along the eastern coast of Tunisia, unsure of what his net will bring.
In a recent interview with the BBC, he shared his heart-wrenching experience of finding the bodies of 15 migrants colonists entangled in his fishing nets in the waters near the city of Sfax within three days.
The most devastating discovery was that of a young infant's lifeless body, a sight that overwhelmed Osama with sorrow, causing him to shed tears in the face of such horror.
Having fished in these waters since the age of ten, Osama expressed that he had never witnessed tragedies of this magnitude before. He revealed that some of his fellow fishermen had sold their boats to smugglers who would utilize them for clandestine migrant transportation, enticed by lucrative sums of money.
However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... Osama firmly refused to sell his boat, driven by the fear that someone onboard might meet a tragic end. He expressed, "I would never forgive myself."
The account of Osama al-Dabibi serves as a poignant reminder of the immense risks undertaken by African immigrants colonists in their quest for a better life while highlighting the humanitarian crisis that persists in the Mediterranean region.
According to newly released data from the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Missing Moslem colonists Migrants Project (MMP), nearly 3,800 people died on migration routes within and from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region last year (January-December 2022), the highest number since 2017 when 4,255 deaths were recorded.
The 3,789 deaths recorded in 2022 were 11 percent higher than the previous year.
The report said that the MENA region accounted for more than half of the total 6,877 deaths worldwide by the MMP, according to the new report.
On North African land routes, particularly during the dangerous Sahara Desert crossing, 203 deaths were recorded, while 825 deaths occurred on Middle Eastern land routes. Libya registered the highest number of deaths on land routes in North Africa, with 117 fatalities, followed by Algeria (54), Morocco (13), Tunisia (10), and Egypt (9).

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Political Studies Center in the UAE has revealed a Saudi-led conspiracy against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in a number of southern and eastern provinces of Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... "Today, they announced a new component opposing the STC in Hadhramaut, and tomorrow they will announce another opposing component in Shabwah," said Khaled al-Shamiri, head of the center, in a tweet on Twitter, commenting on Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... ’s announcement of the establishment of the "Hadhramaut National Council".
Al-Shamiri indicated that the role is coming according to the same scenario in Aden, confirming in another tweet that the president of the "Presidential Leadership Council," Rashad al-Alimi, and Saudi Arabia "want to deliver a message to the STC that it "does not represent the south."
He added that the real response to the Saudi plot would come from what he called "the people," who would go out to uproot those plans in the coming days.
Saudi-established "Dera al-Tatan Forces" factions have controlled a number of important areas in Aden, including al-Sha’b district, and deployed military reinforcements through the border crossing of al-Wadiah, tightening their grip on these areas last month.

[KavkazUzel] The state prosecutor demanded that Abdulmumin Hajiyev, Abubakar Rizvanov and Kemal Tambiyev be sentenced to 19 years in prison, accused of financing terrorism.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 18, it was announced that the trial of the case against Abdulmumin Gadzhiev,
...for some reason Kavkaz Uzel also likes to spell his name Abdulmumin Hajiyev. Along with the head of the Ansar Foundation charity, Abubakar Rizvanov, and Kemal Tambiev, he was accused of financing terrorism. Investigators believe that they collected 68 million rubles and 200 thousand dollars for ISIS in Syria under the pretext of building mosques and helping poor Muslims...
Kemal Tambiev and Abubakar Rizvanov was completed. The third examination, which the prosecutor insisted on, did not find calls for illegal actions in the publications of Abdulmumin Hajiyev. Speaking in the debate, the prosecutor repeated the arguments previously voiced during the process.
Dagestani journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, as well as the head of the Ansar charity fund Abubakar Rizvanov and Kemal Tambiev, have been taken into custody since June 2019 on charges of financing terrorism. Investigators believe they collected 68 million rubles and $200,000 for the terrorists under the pretext of building mosques and helping poor Muslims. The investigation connects the defendants with the Dagestan preacher and founder of the Mukhadzhirun Islamic Foundation, Israil Akhmednabiev, known as Abu Umar Sasitlinsky. The defendants plead not guilty. The details of the case are collected in the material of the "Caucasian Knot" "Golunov number two": the main thing about the case of Abdulmumin Hajiyev."
At today's meeting in the Southern District Military Court, the prosecutor demanded that each of the defendants be sentenced to 19 years in prison, Chernovik reported today.
"In his opinion, we deserve such a punishment, because our participation in the activities of the terrorist organizations ISIS *, the Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Dagestan *, the Supreme Military Majlisul Shura of the United Forces of the Mujahideen of the Caucasus" * was fully proved in court, and it was also proved organization of their financing by us," the words of Abdulmumin Gadzhiev are quoted in the publication in the Telegram channel.
According to him, he is charged with publishing articles in Chernovik and transferring 16,000 rubles to an ISIS representative. “It was as if there were no three examinations of my articles, none of which revealed anything illegal in them, much less related to terrorism. these articles are missing.
As if the state prosecutor did not notice that his secret witness, who allegedly claimed about my transfer to ISIS, did not appear in court, and not a single evidence for this transfer was heard in court.Just like the interview with the head of the travel agency did not notice , who actually received these 16 thousand from me for the sold plane ticket," Hajiyev emphasized.
Colleagues of Chernovik editor Abdulmumin Gadzhiev consider his case an act of political persecution and regularly hold solo pickets in his support in the center of Makhachkala. The examination emphasized the groundlessness of the accusations of the Dagestani journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, which may affect the court's decision, suggested, in particular, the Dagestani journalist Idris Yusupov.

Fourteen years ago? Awfully slow mills of justice...
Confirming the termination of Dr Bilal Ahmad Dalal and Dr Nighat Shaheen Chilloo, a top official of the Jammu and Kashmir government told Greater Kashmir that the doctors played a pivotal role in "distorting the post-mortem report of Asiya and Neelofar, two unfortunate individuals from Shopian who had met an untimely demise due to accidental drowning on May 29, 2009."
Uncovering the alleged motives behind their actions, the official asserted that the ultimate goal of Dr Bilal Ahmad Dalal and Dr Nighat Shaheen Chilloo was to "sow discord against the Indian state by falsely implicating the security forces in acts of rape and murder."
"Shockingly, the investigation has unveiled that the higher echelons of the previous government were aware of these facts, which were deliberately concealed as Kashmir experienced turmoil," added the official.

[Shafaq News] An informed political source on Wednesday said mounting disagreements armed factions backing political parties vying in the upcoming Provincial Council Elections in Iraq.
The Iraqi government had declared on Tuesday the rescheduling of the Provincial Council Elections, previously set for November 6, to December 18. These local elections, held a decade since their last occurrence, will include 15 provinces, excluding the autonomous Kurdistan region.
An insider informed Shafaq News Agency of a proposal that has been under discussion to revive the Fatah Alliance —an umbrella of political movements that posses armed wings— along with the inclusion of the Ataa Alliance led by Faleh al-Fayyad, head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
The proposal was met with approval from the Sa'iroon bloc, led by Ammar al-Hakim, as well as the Ataa Alliance and other political powers. However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... it involved distancing the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement and urging its independent list participation, triggering concerns among factions about the Asa'ib gaining a majority of local seats within this alliance. The source indicated that no final decision has been reached, and ongoing discussions persist on this matter.
On the backdrop of unprecedented popular protests peaking in the fall of 2019, the Iraqi parliament voted to dissolve these councils and end their mandate, with protesters accusing them of corruption.
According to the Iraqi constitution, provincial councils wield broad authorities. They operate independently, without being subject to the control or supervision of any ministry, and possess extensive administrative and financial powers.
"These discussions are a testament to the dynamic and evolving nature of Iraqi politics," said the source. "The alliances are not yet finalized and could shift drastically based on the changing political climate and public sentiment."

According to the official state gazette on Monday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has given his approval for the legalization of 141 Christian churches and 233 service buildings.
The total number of churches and their service buildings that have been legalized by the government now exceeds 3,000.
In 2016, the parliament passed legislation aimed at facilitating the construction and renovation of churches, as part of the government's efforts to guarantee the freedom of worship.
In line with this legislation, the cabinet established a committee in 2017 to review and address the requests for legalizing the status of numerous unpermitted places of worship.
The committee, led by the prime minister and composed of 10 members, includes representatives from various Christian sects, six government officials from different ministries, as well as representatives from the national security and intelligence apparatus and the administrative control body.

With all those vowels, that could be an anagram for something in Finnish.
When el Sisi came to power, I figured it would be business as usual, but he has been a pleasant surprise. From the beginning, he was showing up at Coptic Christian churches for Christmas services. I wish him luck. He is going to need it.
