All gun control laws actually end up doing is disarming honest citizens.
Criminals will obtain firearms 1 way or another.
How about, instead, making it harder and more expensive for honest citizens to obtain and protect themselves. How about making any criminal felony intended use of a firearm a clearly known mandatory punishment. So liberal, paid off DA's can't play games.
Starting with a mandatory 12 years for direct use in the commission of an intended felony level crime, 10 years added for each person is wounded, and a mandatory death penalty, if a death occurs during the felony crime.

The nation’s spy chief, a longtime college president and top women in finance. The circle of people who associated with Jeffrey Epstein years after he was a convicted sex offender is wider than previously reported, according to a trove of documents that include his schedules.
William Burns, director of the Central Intelligence Agency since 2021, had three meetings scheduled with Epstein in 2014, when he was deputy secretary of state, the documents show. They first met in Washington and then Mr. Burns visited Epstein’s townhouse in Manhattan.
Kathryn Ruemmler, a White House counsel under President Barack Obama, had dozens of meetings with Epstein in the years after her White House service and before she became a top lawyer at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in 2020. He also planned for her to join a 2015 trip to Paris and a 2017 visit to Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.
Leon Botstein, the president of Bard College, invited Epstein, who brought a group of young female guests, to the campus. Noam Chomsky, a professor, author and political activist, was scheduled to fly with Epstein to have dinner at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse in 2015.
None of their names appear in Epstein’s now-public “black book” of contacts or in the public flight logs of passengers who traveled on his private jet. The documents show that Epstein arranged multiple meetings with each of them after he had served jail time in 2008 for a sex crime involving a teenage girl and was registered as a sex offender. The documents, which include thousands of pages of emails and schedules from 2013 to 2017, haven’t been previously reported.
The documents don’t reveal the purpose of most of the meetings. The Wall Street Journal couldn’t verify whether every scheduled meeting took place.
Most of those people told the Journal they visited Epstein for reasons related to his wealth and connections. Several said they thought he had served his time and had rehabilitated himself. Mr. Botstein said he was trying to get Epstein to donate to his school. Mr. Chomsky said he and Epstein discussed political and academic topics.

Mr. Burns met with Epstein about a decade ago as he was preparing to leave government service, said CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kupperman Thorp. “The director did not know anything about him, other than that he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector,” she said. “They had no relationship.”

Talk about his sex crimes, and about imagining his various contacts as involved with young girls, gets all the oxygen in the room. I'd not be surprised if he offered other services that mattered more.

The sexual connections and thick wallet were the draw, not the actual business. If you consider the actual business, the meeting makes perfect sense, just a bit odd that it was on a calendar overtly. Bet there are no telltale names there from an office complex in Tel-Aviv!

When I grew up, ethnic jokes were pretty common. They have dissipated over time. There was a weekly Cleveland television show in the 70’s that specialized in Polish jokes; now there is none of that. It seems a natural process of the American melting pot that ethnic stereotypes diminish over time unless there is an outside influence that prevents bigotry from wasting away. The continued antisemitism is not normal for our society. It is serving someone’s interest.

There are very few new ethnic jokes. Maybe Carlos Mencia is still doing some. There is some Chanelle humor and Asian comics, but for the most part that stuff has faded away. The KKK probably held its last rally at Richard Byrds funeral, yet this antisemitism is growing. The leftists seem to be feeding it. It is coming out of the college campuses like a plague. From the viewpoint of the left, only a negative statement about Soros can be antisemitic.

Earlier, Saalik had revealed that his paternal aunt (Shujaat's sister), who is also Elahi's sister-in-law (wife's sister) had told the police party that the PTI leader was at the PML-Q leader's house.
"The police did what they did but what our people did not do less," the PML-Q leader had written in the Tweet that contained a video showing police party trying to break in his house.
It may be noted that Naqvi's statement came after the Centre distanced itself from the raid, blaming the Punjab caretaker set-up for the incident.
On Saturday night, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi ...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached... , and said that the federal government had nothing to do with the raid.
Dar expressed regret over the raid on the PTI president’s house and violation of the sanctity of "chadar and char dewari" — a phrase used to describe family’s dignity.
During the meeting, Qureshi apprised Dar of the sentiments of the family of Elahi regarding the "illegal attack" at their residence.
"The federal government has nothing to do with the attack on the house of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi," Dar was quoted as saying in the meeting.
The finance minister added that the raid was conducted by the Punjab caretaker government.
Dar said he would inform the ruling alliance's leadership about the reservations of the PTI regarding the police action and would get back to the opposition party on the matter soon.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's other gun out of his other hand...... Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal criticised the PTI leaders for "using women and kiddies" as a shield to evade arrest.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, the ruling party leader said that the country’s system has become "so corrupt and outdated" that it cannot deliver.
He said corrupt government officials would be identified in the past "but today is the time when we have to look for honest officers".
Abbasi asked what did poor get out of Rs84 billion subsidy allocated by the federal and provincial governments to provide free flour to the poor during the holy month of Ramazan.
"More than Rs20 billion were stolen in the government's free flour scheme," he alleged.
