[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Standard operating procedure at hospitals, so I’m not clear what’s objectionable here. It’s wristbands, after all, not tattoos.
New York officials have accused Texas Gov. Greg Abbott of placing bar codes on the record amounts of migrants bused into the city from the Lone Star State
Officials say the wristbands are a shrewd tactic to scare them into remaining on these buses until they arrive in New York
The claims stem from a video captured by city immigration workers at the city's Port Authority bus station Wednesday, which shows migrants wearing wristbands
Earlier this month, Abbott began sending busloads of asylum seekers to New York City to call attention to the migrant crisis affecting his state
The maneuver is likely to put pressure on Mayor Eric Adams, who has been at war with Abbott since he said he would welcome the migrants with open arms

Would neckbands be more acceptable?
If they were those exploding ones like in The Running Man, yeah, that would be acceptable.

Well then it sounds like New York City has a moral obligation to take them on. A true policy of concern would be sending buses themselves to triple the input, at least.
Hold up; is this the New York City which sent a fire squad of police to bust up a 5 year old's birthday party because papers were not in order?

Cleaver Man that Governor Greg Abbott bar coding the migrants with the addresses for the 5 Star Bar & Hotels in NYC, like the Four Seasons Hotel New York 57 East 57th Street, New York, New York 10022 U.S.A. 1 (212) 758-5700 -👍😜😁🤣
Former Fox News host Gavin McInnes was apparently arrested on Thursday night after law enforcement gained access to his New York studio while he broadcast his network’s Thursday night live stream.
Shortly after his "Get Off My Lawn" live show began, police officers believed by Censored.tv subscribers to be federal agents gained access to the studio. McInnes, who founded the web network Censored.tv after being canceled on social media, was heard on the live stream having a heated verbal exchange with officers before leaving the studio. McInnes’ stream was left unattended for over an hour before it ended.
McInnes, standing at his desk, told the off camera law enforcement officers, "Yeah. Alright, I’m happy to do that. I’ll get a lawyer, and we will sit down and have a conversation. We’ll schedule a meeting, and I’ll sit down with my lawyer."
The officer’s response to McInnes was not within range of the microphone, but after he spoke McInnes replied, "I didn’t let you in."
What appear to be chirping noises made by police radios can be heard in the video, but viewers reported only silence after McInnes left the frame until the stream was taken offline.
Prior to the Thursday night incident, McInnes told viewers of Censored.tv that he had reason to believe he was under some sort of surveillance.
Will Carless, who covers extremism for USA Today, tweeted that the local New York police force say they did not detain McInnes on Thursday so "IF he was arrested tonight, more likely Federal."
Just called the police department for the Upstate New York village where Gavin McInnes lives.
They said THEY had not arrested him.
So, IF he was arrested tonight, more likely Federal.

According to the Huffington Post in 2019, Mr. McInnes lives (lived?) with his family in Larchmont, Westchester County, a suburb of New York City. Hence the varying descriptions of where he is, and therefore which police force has jurisdiciton. Also that the noisier of his fellow residents deeply resent his presence there, leading to the conclusion that this could have been a SWATting incident rather than federal intimidation.

If they wanted to go on offence, the Trump campaign could sue Facebook for making an in kind donation to the Biden campaign. The goal would be to obtain the communications from the federal government to Facebook for suing the government about the underlying 1st Amendment violation.

[PJMedia] The FBI’s affidavit supporting the raid at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home appears to be based on the president possessing classified materials and messy record-keeping.
The raid on Trump’s home on August 8, 2022, was the first time the home of a president of the United States had ever been tossed by the feds.
According to the redacted document, the FBI believed that Trump had in his possession a variety of classified materials including materials marked with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) labels, perhaps supporting the notion that the former president was looking at documents concerning the Russia collusion hoax.
The documents the FBI claims support their raid of Mar-a-Lago will probably look ugly for former President Donald Trump. After all, these are documents used to convince a judge to approve a never-before-tried search on a former president in what looks by all appearances to be in contravention of the U.S. Constitution.
A couple of things to mention here as we read through the documents and update this story. In a memorandum explaining the search warrant affidavit, the FBI outlined that the redacted portions would remain sealed, in an apparent deal with the judge.
Here are some of the accommodations made for the FBI with Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart:
The redacted material remains under seal
Witness identities will remain secret
Minor information which may out law enforcement will remain secret
Outing certain information would allow Trump to “frustrate” their investigation
Reporters trying to get a look at the documents crashed the DOJ’s PACER website (but you can read it below).
All thirty-eight pages of the thing can be seen at the link.

Us tax serfs not only paid for someone to write the affidavit -- we also paid for someone to redact the affidavit we paid for so we couldn't see what we paid for. Seems fair.

National Archives requested some docs Trump had of correspondence with North Korea's Kim be sent via FedEx.
Two people pleaded guilty to peddling a diary and other items belonging to President Joe Biden's daughter Ashley, prosecutors said on Thursday
Biden, 41, left personal items at a Florida home where she stayed in 2020 If she left it behind of her own free will, taking possession of it is not theft.
They were taken by Aimee Harris, 40, who moved in soon after
She asked Robert Kurlander, 58, for help selling some of the property
The pair first tried to sell it to the Trump campaign before the 2020 election
But they were told to hand the items to the FBI, according to court documents
They eventually sold them to Project Veritas and face up to five years in prison

100% an FBI sting of Project Veritas. They used it to raid the owner's residence at 4am and wouldn't you know, in a strange coincidence his private correspondence was published in the New York Times later that day. Almost as if they're colluding behind the scenes!

I am not sure how this ended up with a federal raid on Project Veritas based on the fact pattern. Doesn't seem to support criminal charges or federal involvement. Somehow, this circumstance requires the hammer, but two nights of 911 calls for a SWAT raids on a sitting Congressman is of no interest. Also, federal law against intimidation of Supreme Court Justices is ignored while these two are jugged for a non-crime. Maybe we can all get our tier within the justice system indicated on our driver's license to prevent the machine from making a processing mistake.

More political prisoners.
If I leave my laptop at Starbucks, did Starbucks steal it?
[Red State] Our Unity President™
Most Democrats seem to be fleeing from Joe Biden. They don’t want him at their campaign events because he would be an anchor that would sink their efforts.
But that looks pretty bad when he’s supposed to be the "leader" of their party. So, the Democrats set up a rally for him in Maryland on Thursday in a very safe Democratic area, to make him look better. His unpopularity isn’t going to cost him at all there. The audience was promoted by rabid Democratic groups like Planned Parenthood
But speaking in front of a rabid partisan group, Biden was unleashed, attacking Americans who had supported Trump accusing them of being hateful, violent, and endangering democracy.
"It’s not hyperbole now you need to vote to literally save democracy again," Biden told an above-capacity crowd of several thousand at a Democratic National Committee event at Richard Montgomery High School in a Maryland suburb of Washington.
"America must choose. You must choose. Whether our country will move forward or backward," he said.
"Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans have made their choice — to go backwards full of anger, violence, hate and division," he said, while Democrats have chosen to be a nation of unity and hope.
Biden made it clear he was not just attacking Trump.
"We’re seeing now either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA agenda," Biden said, referring to former President Donald Trump’s "Make America Great Again" slogan. "It’s not just Trump. ... It’s almost semi-fascism," he said.
This was worse than a "deplorable" moment, as he said, "I don’t respect these MAGA Republicans."

"Americamust choose. You must choose. Whether our country will move forward or backward,"
This statement, from the "Leader of Our Country", who has reverted the USA and the World into the economic, political, and social misery of the 1970's and early 1980's, tells many U.S. citizens, the direction, he has already taken us in just 22 months. Choice(?) - Really(?) - Flipping Fool!

Did he say...Magma Republicans?
Ultra Downy - 81 million votes and five lights.
Obama was pretty good at letting his goons, like McCain, do his direct shit talking. He preferred the passive aggressive, "You didn't build that." approach.

I swear, Karen is tougher to listen to than Brandon.
Any rate, they all endorse the overall message.
Seems like the go-to for stepping on their dick, and there has been a lot of that the last couple years, is to go bang on the violent civil war drum. It is a de fact admission that not only are their policies failing to win people to their message, they are actively turning people off and have to cow people into not moving, or at least staying quiet about it.
I know the strawman Brandon and Co. have tried to make of The Magma Republican, but I wonder what the normies waking up see it as.
[NYPOST] President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences. So does Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle...... announced that up to $20,000 will be forgiven from federal student loans.
AFP via Getty Images
Team Biden’s student-loan "forgiveness" scheme is yet another example of a misguided and dangerous policy initiative masquerading as a public good — no surprise from an administration in which political missteps are the norm.
The left is heralding the plan, which will "forgive" $10,000 for student-loan borrowers making $125,000 or less and $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients, as genuine assistance for millions of debtors. But it’s like a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound. It not only falls short of the hype but provides a false sense of financial relief, worsening an already deeply broken system.

It is a policy that will alienate everyone but universities who are suffering from poor enrollment. Certainly, it will make all normal people mad. The crack heads who wasted money on worthless degrees will also be enraged that it only covers a portion of their bill. I think a year at Kent State is like $60K per year now.

CNN: “Is the White House going to release a cost estimate at some point?”
BIDEN PRESS SECRETARY KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: “Yeah we’ve talked about that. Look, this is, this is something. What the other piece of this too is we're going to see.”
So I think that's clear.

Make them earn it....
How about 10% Student loan tax credit for every year, gainfully employed NOT on ANY Taxpayer or other hand out.
It’s not like he’ll seriously degrade the caliber of teaching there at the moment. It’s sad — we all remember when Harvard was worth aspiring to, but it’s been years since the raw ability of students and educators was swallowed up by rabid political correctness.
[NYPOST] Former Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserved him... — who flunked both his campaign for president and Congress — is stepping into a new role as a teaching fellow at Harvard University this fall.
Professor Hizzoner will be teaching at both the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School, the New York Times
... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported Wednesday.
His courses will be on what he sees as his two greatest accomplishments — leading the city through the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing universal pre-K.
At the public health school, he will be conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions, where he can impart his political acumen on students.
"It’s exciting to spend time with really talented young people who are looking forward to going into public service," de Blasio told the Times. "I hope I can inspire them, but also give them some real life understanding of what’s ahead and how to be effective."
De Blasio, a Red Sox fan, is sure to be right at home at Harvard’s ritzy Cambridge, Mass. campus — it’s just a 10 minute walk from the local YMCA. The former mayor was raised in Cambridge but says he’ll keep calling Park Slope, Brooklyn home.
The tony neighborhood is also home to the time-challenged pol’s beloved YMCA — and he’d make the 13-mile trek there from Gracie Mansion for late-morning workouts.
De Blasio has been on the hunt for his next gig ever since the end of his tenure leading the Big Apple. He followed his disastrous attempt at running for president in 2020 with a short-lived campaign this summer for the newly drawn NY-10 Congressional district, but withdrew from the race in July. He had previously said in an interview he was thinking about working at a non-profit.
But how much expertise he really has to lend the Harvard students is questionable. De Blasio’s pandemic response was clouded by his puerile feud with disgraced former Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo ...former Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns and writing a book praising himself. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he had about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him when he resigned... The dysfunctional relationship between the two hot heads hindered the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ex-city Health Commissioner Dave Chokshi revealed in June.
Chokshi got the gig in August 2020 following the resignation of Dr. Oxiris Barbot, who quit in a letter that accused the city of botching its COVID-19 response under de Blasio.
"I leave my post today with deep disappointment that during the most critical public health crisis in our lifetime, that the Health Department’s incomparable disease control expertise was not used to the degree it could have been," she wrote in her resignation letter.

Bad news - his teaching will be terrible.
Good news - the federal government is now giving rebates on his terrible teaching.

Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
