[MSN] Washington state Sen. Doug Ericksen, a staunch conservative, has died at age 52. Ericksen's death Friday came weeks after he said he had tested positive for the coronavirus while in El Salvador, though his cause of death wasn't immediately released. In a message to state House and Senate members, Ericksen asked for advice on how to receive monoclonal antibodies, which were not available in the Latin American nation.
He soon arranged a medevac flight from El Salvador, former state Rep. Luanne Van Werven said. Van Werven said the next week that the senator was recovering at a Florida hospital. No further information about his location or condition had been released.

Ex-Conservative. I'm sure he will be reliably voting Democrat for a long time now...
In fact, since this is WA state - he may have been unknowingly voting D for some time now.

A very good action novel plot would be the kidnapping of a lib senator who's positive for COVID and a countdown as the time for the magic drug the proles are not allowed to have is withheld.

Does Lieawatha belong to a high-risk group?
Or is her risk 1/1024th that of her fellow squaws?
[Mil.com] Thousands of soldiers with the 29th Infantry Division were among the first wave of troops who stormed the beaches of Normandy in the U.S.-led invasion of France in 1944.
When the doors to the landing craft opened, entire units were killed almost instantly by dug-in German forces. Scores of the division's troops were among the 3,000 killed in the opening hours of the assault on Fortress Europe in one of the most gruesome and heroic battles in U.S. military lore and immortalized in the opening scene of "Saving Private Ryan."
Now, in light of a reckoning over Confederate monuments for their racist history, the storied 29th Infantry Division patch — a yin-yang pattern with blue and grey -- is being reviewed for potential retirement by the Naming Commission, a panel stood up by Congress last year to review rebel references across the military.

I was expecting to see the confederate battle flag, the St Andrews cross or maybe stars & bars, and instead there's ... an asiatic symbol of harmony between Blue and Gray.
Theee assholes despise us and want to destroy our heritage. F--k them

When you kowtow to expediency and act ashamed of your heritage, you cease to be a proud nation and are merely a place with a lot of people in it suckling on the prosperity your forebears earned for you. I am ashamed of what we are leaving for our grandkids.
[WashingtonExaminer] The student newspaper at an Ohio college known for its left-leaning politics published a column decrying the number of white students attending campus concerts.
"When there are so few resources for non-white students on campus, it can be upsetting when concerts headlined by artists of color are dominated by white students," wrote Kayla Kim, a first-year student at Oberlin College.
In the Dec. 10 column titled "Concerts Need to Be Better for Students of Color," Kim claimed that whites, who comprise the majority of the student population, take over events by displacing black students in the front rows.
"It’s hurtful when white students do not hold themselves accountable for their actions in such a space," she wrote.
The school had already taken steps to address police behavior at campus events, such as requiring a 30-minute behavioral training class and making students sign a form to acknowledge "different identities" before attending affairs monitored by "vibe watchers" looking for misconduct.
At a poetry reading hosted by a club called OSLAM, organizers asked white students to give up their seats for black students in the spirit of "black liberation," Kim wrote. She interviewed a black student who witnessed this and left the event because it made him uncomfortable.
"People who came to just listen to poetry and not knowing the context of OSLAM overall were put in a situation that I feel they didn’t deserve to be in where they were subjected to this feeling of being treated differently because of their skin color," the student said.
Kim also wrote a column about on-campus racism, which discussed how white students had complained on social media about feeling uncomfortable walking through black dorms. When black students responded, they were "talked over" and "experienced microaggressions," she claimed.

Given the present US demographics
Racial and ethnic groups in the United States (2020 Census)
Non-Latino White Americans (57.8%)
Latino Americans (of any race) (18.7%)
Black Americans (12.1%)
Asian Americans (5.9%)
Two or more races (4.1%) some 50% White also
Native Americans (0.7%)
Some other race (0.5%)
Pacific Islander Americans (0.2%)
The 2020 US Census Data, something the Oberlin College newspaper "accidentally" omitted ,shows Whites out number all other races in the USA.
In Fact Oberlin College Demographics
Shows the majority of Oberlin students are White (60+%). So this liberal college in fact has more WHITES than the National average. This Liberal college only has 5.41% Black students 2 times LESS than the National Average?

Scary. Let's look at some numbers.
"Serious/Critical" this morning is 15,725 versus 11,553 a month ago. This morning's COVID load is 136% of a month ago. Almost 50% more, using Media Math.
This morning's load is 60% of the serious/critical number on Labor Day - the peak of 'the fourth wave'. {Worldometers data, my tabulation}

Why is it South African reports only a few Hospitalizations and the US with likely 100% better living conditions, reports 10,000 times more?
Eg. "Hospital admissions spike 50%"
Total Staffed Beds in All U.S. Hospitals
919,559. Source so 60,000 of 919,559 = roughly 6.5% of the available hospital beds are occupied.
WOW!! what are we going to do with the other 93.5% or 859,787 beds?
Is the Media playing with the headlines for $$$$ and work to create a 2022 mid-term MAIL-IN voter panic process again?

Optional surgery and procedures have not been cancelled in Ohio. The hospitals are mostly full of people who are sick from vaccine accidents or are finally having procedures that they had put off previously. This does not speak to the staffing shortage of the resigned and fired. 100% capacity of some hospitals today is 85-90% precovid capacity.

The sick make their way to a Detroit parking lot, unroll the car window, and push up their sleeves for infusions of a medical cocktail to help them recover from a modern scourge, COVID-19.
Monoclonal antibodies are pumped into their arms intravenously at Wayne Health's drive-through clinic on Mack Avenue, staged outdoors to reduce the risk of spreading the virus..."COVID testing and vaccinations remain our pillar, but we're also very heavily engaged in monoclonal antibody infusions, which are a great way to prevent people who do contract COVID — particularly high-risk individuals — from getting sick to the point where they require hospitalization or at risk for dying,"
said Dr. Phillip Levy, professor of emergency medicine at Wayne State University and chief innovation officer for Wayne Health.
Dr. Bruce Muma, president and CEO of the Henry Ford Health System Physician Network, is feeling a similar pinch.
"One of our infusion centers expanded their hours to 3:30 in the morning ... because there was a subset of ER nurses who were so concerned about what they were seeing in the ER that they wanted to start doing something to prevent patients from needing to be in the hospital. So they are ... coming in four hours early for this shift."
Detroit-based Henry Ford got about 2,000 requests for treatment in the last week, but was able to administer about 725 infusions.
"By hook or by crook, we're expanding our capacity every week," Muma said.
Thirteen months after the initial FDA EUA for these treatments, some hospitals and local media are finally getting serious about doing what can be done. This news article actually included a toll free phone number for patients wishing to contact Wayne Health for treatment.

I took the Monoclonal treatment last month and it worked for me. I caught a "breakthrough" case of Covid after being vaccinated earlier in the year. The Covid was going for my lungs when I was treated and it stopped advancement of the virus. I improved every day after treatment. I'm a fan.
[WashingtonExaminer] Salvation Army chapters across the country are reporting massive shortages in volunteer hours and toy donations just weeks after the charity distributed (and then pulled) a controversial guide calling on white people to confront their "racist attitudes."
Some 20,000 volunteer hours have gone unfilled for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign this year, which historically represents about 33% of the charity's total yearly donations. The charity has also reported substantial shortages of toy and gift donations in some parts of the country, such as New Jersey, where donations are down 30% across the state.

I'm sure you know, there are others out there that can use your help, for other reasons, too.
Given that the SA had been my and my late wife's go to charity, until their 'attitude changed', I sought out and found, what I think is a worthy cause during my time reading The Liberty Daily website earlier today.
The article: Virginia Catholic Family Wins Landmark Victory for Patient Rights, Needs Financial Support
The above link pushes you directly to Lifesite.com as does the original link @The Liberty Daily.com
I donated and I posted this under comments:
The Virginia Declaration of Rights was drafted in 1776 to proclaim the inherent rights of men, including the right to reform or abolish "inadequate" government.[2] It influenced a number of later documents, including the United States Declaration of Independence (1776) and the United States Bill of Rights (1789) .... more at donation site
So, yes, we each have our own issues we care about and charities we support - I chose this one because I too had to take a hospital & their doctors to court because they refused to treat my wife, who had less than 2 years before that been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's but was bleeding from her lady parts due to ovarian cancer. I.e. The doctors wanted her to bleed to death...I get it, but they are still Heathen tards.
I believe this post to be within bounds, given the larger topic of charities; I AM NOT soliciting on behalf of this particular charity only illustrating alternatives in todays world.
Thanks for reading

As of April 2018, the "Inclusion" page on the official UK website states that the Salvation Army stands against homophobia and does not permit discrimination in its employment practices or delivery of care.[186]
On its USA Central Territory website, it explicitly claims that it serves and welcomes the LGBT community.[187]
On the website of its USA division, the organisation currently maintains an informative and promotional document titled "The LGBTQ Community and The Salvation Army" in which it states (among other things) that it is "committed to serving the LGBTQ community"; "[w]hen a transgender person seeks help from us, we serve them in the same manner as any other person seeking assistance"; it "is an Equal Opportunity Employer" with regard to "sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression" (et al.); and that it "provide[s] benefits to the spouses of employees in same‐sex marriages".

[Sputnik] UK ministers are drawing up proposals for a post-Christmas two-week "circuit breaker" lockdown to slow the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, reported The Times.
Under these measures, England would return to a ban on indoor social contact except for work purposes, while pubs and restaurants would be limited to outdoor service, similar to the rules imposed this April.
The ministers are allegedly acting on advice from scientific advisers, who have warned that measures are urgently needed beyond the currently in place Plan B, According to cited leaked minutes of a meeting of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage).

The U.S. Defense Department is newly concerned about China’s further military buildup near the demarcation line across its Himalayan border with India, a senior defense official told Foreign Policy, after Beijing deployed long-range strategic bombers to the area last month in another apparent warning to New Delhi.
The senior defense official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive policy deliberations, said that the buildup fits the pattern of Chinese regional aggression seen elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific region, such as in the Philippines, where Chinese coasties vessels moved to block Philippine supply boats in November. But there’s optimism among experts and officials that India will be able to stand its ground against the People’s Liberation Army. New Delhi has put up more diplomatic and military resistance than China’s antagonists in other territorial incursions, such as in the South China Sea, experts said.

[DW] Cologne ...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany.... police have raided several properties in an operation against suspected far-right Death Eaters. They seized bomb-making materials and a "not insignificant amount" of narcotics.
Police arrested four people and seized bomb-making supplies during raids targeting suspected far-right snuffies in the western German city of Cologne on Thursday.
Officers searched the homes of four men allegedly belonging to the far-right Death Eater scene. Police said the men were seeking to construct an bomb.
The suspects were 36 to 53 years old. Special forces and explosives sniffer dogs took part in the raids.
Police said they found the basic supplies for building an bomb, as well as firecrackers.
State criminal police are investigating.
The raids took place in the Cologne districts of Nippes, Holweide and Mulheim. Police also seized drugs, in sufficient quantity to form the basis of initial charges against the suspects.
A police spokesperson told local paper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger: "There was a suspicion that someone was obtaining basic materials for the manufacture of IEDs, unconventional explosives and incendiary devices."
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Wednesday that far-right extremism posed the greatest threat to German democracy.
[Sputnik] - German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck has described the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as a geopolitical mistake, saying that it is unclear whether or not it will be commissioned.
"Geopolitics-wise, the Nord Stream 2 was a mistake. All European countries, except Germany and Austria, have always been against it. Now the pipeline is built. The issue of whether it can be launched remains open. This matter has to be resolved under the European and national law," Habeck, a co-chair of the Alliance 90/The Greens party, said in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, published on Saturday.
