[Breitbart] Border Patrol agents in Laredo, Texas, discovered more than 80 migrants crammed into a single residential home on Monday. The agents, responding to a report of suspicious activity in the area, found the migrants scattered throughout the scene. The migrants were arrested and removed from the unsanitary conditions and were processed for removal from the country.
Although Laredo Sector ranks much lower than most in the southwest in the apprehension of migrants, traffic in the area is distinct from others. Laredo is the busiest port of entry in Texas, according to the Texas Comptroller. Due to the high volume of legitimate commercial tractor trailers, the Border Patrol encounters a significant number of tractor-trailer migrant smuggling schemes.
The stash houses are used by human traffickers to hide the migrants while transportation away from the border area is coordinated.
According to the Border Patrol, the number of migrants being held in this home is cause for concern. They consider stash houses a national security threat due to the criminal activity and the unsanitary conditions during a pandemic.
Within the first two months of this fiscal year, the Border Patrol in Laredo discovered six total stash houses in the city. During the month of November, nearly 160 migrants were removed from stash houses. In October, two homes containing nearly 50 migrants were discovered. Monday’s discovery involved the highest number of migrants discovered in a single home this fiscal year.
Despite the significant number of high-volume smuggling events interdicted and the number of migrant stash houses discovered within the city, there is some promising news. According to the Border Patrol, the Laredo Sector is the only area along the southwest border that reported a decline in migrant apprehensions thus far this fiscal year.
In October, the sector reported 7,443 apprehensions, compared to 9,373 in October 2020.
[Breitbart] Texas State Troopers arrested two migrants near Cotulla Sunday during border patrols. The pair was turned over to Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents for processing and potential removal. Agents discovered one migrant, Jose Arias-Gonzalez, was a suspected Sureno gang member who was previously convicted of murder with a 16-year prison term.
Federal authorities say Arias-Gonzalez freely admitted to being an active Sureno member.
Contemporaneous news reports show Arias-Gonzalez’s murder case dates back to the 2004 killing of 45-year-old David Norman Collins Jr. in Clayton, North Carolina. Arias-Gonzalez shot Collins, a security guard at the Dockside Dolls strip club. According to witnesses, Collins escorted Arias-Gonzalez and several other men out of the club when an altercation occurred.
During the altercation, Collins was shot by Arias Gonzalez and later transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead after arrival. Arias Gonzalez was charged and subsequently convicted of first-degree murder. Others received accessory charges.
Arias-Gonzalez now faces felony charges of re-entry after removal as an aggravated felon. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
This is the second migrant apprehended in the Laredo Sector in November with a previous murder conviction. On November 17, Border Patrol Agents arrested Juventino Orta-Garcia, a 50-year-old citizen of Mexico, shortly after his illegal entry. Agents discovered Orta-Garcia committed a 1988 murder in Texas.

The Director of Criminal Investigations [DCI] said the woman, 22, whose name was not immediately revealed due to security reasons, was arrested by police in Soghor, Tinderet in Nandi County, about 300 km west of the capital, Nairobi.
Police said the suspect was cohabiting with a man at Kamalambu village in Nandi before the suspicious locals raised an alarm leading to her immediate arrest. In her own admission, police added, the woman confirmed that she was in Somalia for some time before returning to Kenya. "cohabiting with a man"? Her brother? Were they married? Calling Ilhan Omar
"The villagers’ fears were confirmed when during interrogation after being arrested, the woman told detectives that she had been in Somalia for two years after allegedly being kidnapped by members of the Alshabab terror network in Kilifi, in 2019," DCI said.
"She confessed to having been trained on weapon handling skills, hostage-taking, and use of explosives among other skills. The woman is said to have attended the recently concluded KDF recruitment exercise at different centers."
The Anti Terror detectives [ATPU] have since taken over investigations into the matter and shall be grilling the suspect for more information. The DCI thanked the members of the public in Tinderet, Nandi county who volunteered information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Her arrest comes after three al-Shabaab convicts beat feet from Kenya's most secure correctional facility, the Kamiti Maximum Prison in Nairobi. The three have already been slapped with additional 15 months for jailbreak.
Recently, the Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] has been recruiting prospective soldiers and the said suspect was keen to join. There have been reports of possible collaboration between the security officers and al-Shabaab terrorists, a reason why the government has called for vigilance.
Kenya is one of the countries which has struggled to contain al-Shabaab activities but in recent weeks, incidents of terror attacks have substantially reduced. Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa are some of the counties which have attracted high cases of terrorism.

The campaign takes place after months of lobbying of regional governments by President Felix Tshisekedi, whose own efforts to end the decades of bloodshed in Congo’s east have been stymied by poor planning, corruption and insufficient funding, according to a parliamentary report.
On Wednesday morning Ugandan troops and vehicles were seen crossing into Congo at the Nobili border post for the second day, a local resident and civil rights activist said.
"I have just seen 30 vehicles full of Ugandan soldiers entering Congo. I also saw two tanks," said Blaise Bokassa, who lives in Nobili. "If our army collaborates with (the Ugandan army) a solution will be found, and the history of the ADF will be consigned to the past."
Faustin Baraka Baswegy, a member of a civil rights group in Nobili, said he also saw troops enter Congo in the morning.
"I have seen many vehicles with hundreds of Ugandan soldiers," he said.
A Ugandan army spokeswoman said she could not immediately comment. Congo’s government front man Patrick Muyaya said he had no further information but has scheduled a news conference for later on Wednesday to provide an update on the joint operation.
The ADF, which started as an uprising in Uganda but has been based in Congo since the late 1990s, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in mid-2019, but United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... researchers have found no evidence of IS command and control over ADF operations.
ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
Little is currently known about the scope and duration of the operation, said Nelleke Van de Walle from the Brussels-based think tank International Crisis Group.

"We fear we could see the same illegal activities that happened during the past deployment, stealing gold and those other commodities," Joel Ssenyonyi, a Ugandan opposition politician, told Rooters.
"They needed parliamentary permission so we can debate why they need to go there. Is there a legitimate justification or are they going there to steal again?"

Seven members of the Kurdish forces were killed in an ISIS ambush when the terror group attacked Liheban and Khidirjija villages in Qarachogh area, the Ministry of Peshmerga said in a statement on Friday.
Several others have been injured, the ministry added.
In this most recent attack on Qarachogh, ISIS also clashed with civilians, killing three brothers with the youngest only 11 years old.

"My son was eleven, the other was 18 and one was 24. He is married, he has a wife and a daughter," Bayan Osman told Rudaw, adding that she is ready to sacrifice the life of the rest of her sons for the Kurdistan Region.
On Sunday, ISIS grabbed credit for a deadly attack on the Peshmerga in Diyala. Earlier in November, it also grabbed credit for a late October attack in which two Peshmerga were killed on the Erbil-Kirkuk border. A few days later, the Peshmerga prevented another attack in the same area.
ISIS also attacked Peshmerga forces on the Kifri-Garmaser border between Sulaimani and Diyala provinces earlier this month.
The gap between Peshmerga and Iraqi forces is up to 40 kilometers wide in parts. "ISIS has been able to exploit the lack of coordination between forces to operate in the ungoverned territory," the Pentagon stated in its latest report on anti-ISIS operations.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Peshmerga Jabar Yawar on Monday told Rudaw that the recent ISIS attacks are originating from areas controlled by Iraqi forces.
"I can say that whenever ISIS attacks Peshmerga forces, they come from areas controlled by Iraqi forces, and after they are done, they return to those areas," Yawar said.
