[BREITBART] An illegal alien has been found guilty of murdering 20-year-old University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts by a jury on Friday.
Cristhian Bahena Rivera, an illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested in August 2018 — about a month after Tibbetts first went missing on the evening of July 18, 2018, in Brooklyn, Iowa — and charged with first-degree murder.
Bahena Rivera led Sherlocks to Tibbetts’ body and he said he spotted her jogging, ran up to her, and became angry because she threatened to call the police. Rivera said he then blacked out and took her body from his car trunk and placed her in a cornfield, placing corn stalks over her.
Bahena Rivera first crossed the United States-Mexico border at 17-years-old and headed to Iowa where he has relatives. He worked at the Yarabee Farms dairy farm under the name "John Budd" from a stolen Social Security number.
Twelve jurors, including three Hispanic Americans and nine white Americans from 19 to 71-years-old, found Bahena Rivera guilty of first-degree murder following a nearly two-week trial and less than eight hours of deliberation.
[Just The News] Famed Jewish partisan and photographer Faye Schulman, who took up arms against the Nazi war machine she was at one point forced to photograph for vanity portraits, died last month, her daughter revealed this week.
Schulman was spared in a Nazi massacre of Polish Jews in 1942, after which the Nazis conscripted her to photograph them for commemorative portraits. She later joined a band of Russian resistance fighters, participating in offensive skirmishes against Hitler's war machine while documenting much of the struggle with photographs.
Her photos provided valuable evidence of both the atrocities of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust as well as documentation of the active Jewish struggle against the Nazi machine.
The news broke this week that Schulman died last month at the reported age of 101. She was residing in Toronto at the time. The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation identifies her as "one of the only known Jewish partisan photographers."
The foundation quotes her as saying: "Jews did not go like sheep to the slaughter. I was a photographer. I have pictures. I have proof."

Good Night Brave Lioness, May you rest in eternal peace knowing your photography will live as long as civilization is willing to remember the brutality that was Germany and the NAZI Movement.
You were God's Witness and Recorder, an honor few are given, and you succeeded for all to see on this earth for evermore. RIP
[CNN] Changes announced this week at Georgia's Stone Mountain Park, home to the nation's largest Confederate monument, are "the boldest step that has been taken" at the park since the state bought it decades ago, according to a park official.
Critics, though, say it isn't nearly bold enough. Not "bold enough", imagine that.
The park's board on Monday voted -- unanimously, but with one abstention, according to its chairman -- to add an exhibit to an existing museum that will tell "the whole story" of the monument -- a giant carving of Confederate leaders on horseback -- including the history of the Ku Klux Klan on the mountain and its rebirth there in 1915, among other things.
"We took the appropriate actions, and it's the boldest step that has been taken at Stone Mountain Park since the park was acquired in 1962," said Bill Stephens, the CEO of the Stone Mountain Memorial Association (SMMA), which oversees the park, about 15 miles east of Atlanta. "There have been virtually no changes to the Confederate imagery or anything since that time, and now we're moving forward."
But critics remain as unmoved as the granite the monument is carved into. They say the changes are tinkering on the edges, especially in the wake of George Floyd's murder and renewed calls for the removal of Confederate monuments and symbols around the country.

If they keep erasing the past... pretty soon groups can deny it ever happen .. just like certain groups are denying the mass murder of millions of Jews now.
[CoffeeOrDie] “Here’s to the good times, here’s to the bad times, and the memories we’ll always have.”
The most simple words, the most direct phrases, often land the hardest. As the nation winds down its longest war, maybe this Memorial Day weekend lands a little differently for some.
But most of America is preparing for this weekend the way that it usually does: cleaning off the grill, packing the fridge, and looking forward to a three-day weekend spent with friends and family. Many veterans dig out old pictures of friends who didn’t make it home to post to social media, while others prepare their hot takes about why Americans should not celebrate the weekend — that it’s a solemn day of remembrance.
But Mat Best, Jarred Taylor, Danny Worsnop, and about 20 of their closest friends dropped a new music video today, “Lay the Warriors to Rest,” that reminds everyone that, yes, you should remember — but it’s okay to celebrate, too.
[NYP] Dr. Anthony Fauci once argued that conducting experiments on contagious viruses to increase their potency was worth the risk, even if the work could accidentally lead to a pandemic, it was revealed Friday.
The nation’s chief medical advisor wrote in the American Society for Microbiology in October 2012 of the public health benefit to gain-of-function viral experiments — which center on manipulating viruses and making them stronger — as long as there is significant oversight.
In the article, first reported by The Australian, Fauci also noted that a pause on such studies should continue until researchers can figure out how to do them more transparently.
Gain-of-function experiments are the sort of work that was being conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology when the COVID-19 pandemic first started in China in late 2019 and some experts fear a lab accident is what led to the global outbreak that killed 3.4 million.
In the 2012 paper, Fauci acknowledged the risky research could lead to serious lab accidents but the chance is rare and the work is "important" because it helps the scientific community prepare for naturally occurring pandemics.

[Weasel Zippers] Two men were escorted out of Yankee Stadium on Thursday — one of them apparently in handcuffs — after they hung a large pro-Donald Trump banner from the second deck.
Video and photos show two men unveiling a "Trump Won Save America" flag on the first-base side of the stadium, which prompted a Bronx cheer of boos from many in the crowd.
At one point, someone on the deck below jumps up, apparently trying to pull down the banner during the second game of a doubleheader between the Yankees and Blue Jays.
The two men appear to be struggling over the flag with a security guard in pictures taken by a photographer for The Post.

Brave rent-a-cops and NYPD on Thursday thwarted a deadly display of nationalism, featuring a leader democratically elected by deplorable Americans. The crowd was left traumatized and most demanded a refund as reparations. The Blue Jays claimed the Yankees must forfeit their victory.

The picture I saw showed another pair of guys right next to these two who also had a banner over the railing. As far as I can tell, those two guys weren't hassled.

According to the MFA, rescuers lifted the body of the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service to the surface of the water without any signs of life. On the shore, before the arrival of the ambulance, he underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
"At the same time, despite the intensive resuscitation measures carried out during the emergency hospitalization, the doctors stated his death. The Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt interacts with the Egyptian side to find out the exact cause of death, keeps in touch with his family," the ministry said.
As previously reported by a number of Ukrainian media outlets, the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine was killed on May 28 near the Egyptian city of Dahab. According to journalists, the man was engaged in scuba diving at a depth of several tens of meters, after which he emerged too quickly.

[REGNUM] The volume of oil and petroleum products supplied in March this year from Russia to the United States became a record in 12 years, according to the materials of the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy (EIA).
According to this department, the volume of imports of Russian oil and petroleum products in March amounted to 22.938 million barrels - 1.8 times more than in February. Canada retained the first place with 139.869 million barrels, the third - Mexico with 17.616 million barrels.
The EIA stressed that the indicators relate to oil and oil products in aggregate. Separately, in terms of oil, Russia took only fourth place with a volume of delivery of 6.1 million barrels.
We will remind, the abnormal cold, which faced the state of Texas and a number of other regions of the United States in early 2021, brought down oil production in the country by almost 40%. For this reason, as well as because of the embargo against Venezuela and the OPEC agreement, the United States was forced to increase oil purchases from other countries, including Russia.

[REGNUM] The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) sent a preventive letter to the Disney Channel reminding them of the inadmissibility of propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations among minors. This was reported on the website of the department.
The decision to send a preventive letter came after Disney released the animated short Out. The main character of the short film has a non-traditional sexual orientation, while the film is aimed at a child audience.
Roskomnadzor recalled that the dissemination of information among children that denies family values and promotes non-traditional sexual relations is contrary to the norms of Russian legislation. Representatives of the TV channel were advised to strictly observe the laws of the Russian Federation and not to allow the dissemination of information that could harm the development of children.

Disney is in trouble on several fronts: ESPN is and has been bleeding subscribers for a while--so much so that Disney had to mention it in their SEC filings. The tanking Oscar ratings mean lower ad revenue for ABC, which Disney again had to comment on publicly. The California theme park was closed all last year. And watch this space--I would bet there is more to come.

Can somebody please explain to me how wokeness helps profits? How are companies surviving revenue losses [if indeed they are suffering from them] from people just leaving them? Are people leaving them for other brands, alternatives? I don't understand what's the motive here if not profit.

^ But how long can that be sustained? Corps are cruel at laying off when the stock dips, no? Do the marketing Em-bee-yaays just find another place to turn to shit?

Disney is not in trouble. Hate the Woke BS as much as anyone but the stock is a screaming buy. The parks are reopening and will finally contribute to earnings again. Pre-COVID those parks contributed 1/3 of Disney's revenues.

Certainly plausible. The Chinese already own Biden and family, the Democratic Party, a slice of the Republican Party, Wall Street, Hollywood, MSM, retailers, ports, lots of farm/ranch land and buildings, and our home grown revolutionaries.

Note to the established senior management of the services - China is not running around the globe to be the world's policeman. While it dabbles around the globe its focused on China and its classical sphere of influence first.

Meh. They’ve been telling themselves this is inevitable for two decades or so. Before that, Japan, Inc. owning America was also inevitable. And before that, the USSR could not help to be victorious — the science of history guaranteed it. But in the end possession is nine tenths of the law, and they don’t and won’t have what it takes to enforce their purchases without our consent.

As so frequently happens in California, a state that’s prone to cyclical droughts, California is suffering from a severe drought. Chris Mathys, who’s gearing up to run for the House of Representatives in Fresno, which is a major city in California’s Central Valley, has an idea: It’s time to declare the Delta smelt extinct and get the federal government to stop forcing massive amounts of Sierra run-off into the ocean. It’s a creative idea and shows someone thinking outside of the boxes in which leftists traditionally trap conservatives.
[France24] Parisians flocked to outdoor terraces in drizzling rain on Wednesday morning as restaurants, cafés and bars opened for the first time in six months amid cautious optimism that the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic is over. FRANCE 24 reports from the celebrated Paris neighbourhood of Saint-Germain des Près.
Waiters weaved their way among the tables, the café rang out with the clattering of plates and the clamour of conversation as the smell of fresh coffee and croissants drifted out into the street. One man began work on his laptop as a woman removed her mask and lit a cigarette; another settled into his chair for the morning with a copy of French daily Le Monde.
Ten minutes after opening, every seat at the legendary Café de Flore, and its rival and neighbour Les Deux Magots, was taken.
