[Townhall] I'm not sure how I missed this last year, but kudos to The Dispatch for flagging this lunacy as a prime example of how "anti-racism" wokeness is poisoning education. We've written about some of the madness, including stifling "woke" cultures at elite private schools, and some activists' efforts to inject identity politics into math. But this concession to the mob by a group of charter schools is about as cartoonishly illustrative of the problem as it gets. The insane ideologues are winning, and this is what their "victories" look like:
It’s more accurate to say that anti-racist education means something very different from what most observers bargained for. Last summer, the famed KIPP charter schools announced they’d be abandoning their longtime slogan: "Work Hard, Be Nice." Why? The announcement explained: "The slogan passively supports ongoing efforts to pacify and control Black and Brown bodies in order to better condition them to be compliant and further reproduce current social norms that center whiteness and meritocracy as normal." Those unfamiliar with anti-racist dogma are frequently surprised to see it invoked in this kind of assault on foundational virtues. They tend to presume that such instances are outliers. Unfortunately, it’s more accurate to say that KIPP’s move was a telling snapshot of contemporary anti-racist education in practice.
"Work hard, be nice" is some of the earliest advice I was given as a student and as I embarked upon my career. I've passed it along to countless young people in speeches to campus groups. Working hard and treating people nicely is a competitive advantage over people who will do one thing, but not the other — or neither. It's also just the right way to comport oneself. But apparently, this mission statement was thrown out by KIPP charter schools because it "passively supports" the 'pacification' of "Black and Brown bodies," whatever the hell that means. Furthermore, these concepts allegedly "center whiteness and meritocracy," which is a stunningly racist commentary unto itself. Hard work and kindness are white values? That's bigoted trash. One parent is quoted in the article above saying, "We did not immigrate to this country for our children to be taught in taxpayer funded schools that punctuality and hard work are white values." Well, when you invite a culture into yours that doesn't mesh, this is what you get. Unless the majority of Americans are willing to fight this, the American culture, values and spirit is dead.
[TheConservativeTreeHouse] Two factual notes…. (1) Biden is a person of generally intemperate disposition. (2) The rank and file military do not like him.
The installed White House occupant calls the graduating class of the Coast Guard “dull” after they do not clap for him. WATCH:

Governor Lepetomane: [pointing to a member of his cabinet] I didn't get a "harrumph" out of that guy!
Hedley Lamarr: Give the Governor harrumph!
Politician: Harrumph!
Governor Lepetomane: You watch your ass.
Hedley Lamarr: Gentlemen, please rest your sphincters.
Governor Lepetomane: Well, put.
[MAIL] Former FBI director Louis Freeh gave $100,000 to a private trust for Joe Biden's grandchildren and met with the then-Vice President in 2016 'to explore with him some future work options', emails reveal.
Freeh also spoke with then-Vice President Biden in 2016 'to explore with him some future work options', according to the bombshell communications
The emails suggest Freeh was trying to establish a future business relationship with Biden – and the White House has failed to disclose to DailyMail.com whether Joe Biden discussed private business with Freeh while in office.
According to the messages, obtained by DailyMail.com from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, the former FBI director was working for three foreign businessmen and officials at the time, who were all later convicted of various corruption charges, including a multi-billion-dollar ransacking of a Malaysian wealth fund.
Freeh himself was not implicated in those charges
The 71-year-old, who served as FBI director under Bill Clinton and George Bush, ran a consultancy firm with highly controversial clients including a now-jailed Malaysian prime minister who stole billions of dollars from his country, a Romanian real estate tycoon convicted of bribery, and a French-Israeli diamond magnate later convicted of bribery and a $145 million property graft.

Freeh also put in a stint at MBNA (D) Delaware before he went about charging Penn State a couple million dollars for a "report" where his team didn't even bother to interview the participants... (Full disclosure_ PSU grad here who will never send the BOT another dime in my life.)

There is a new game in town on the national level called corruption. And those who are corrupt on the national level are going try their best to take down anyone who gets in thier way.

That, in a nutshell, is why Trump had to go - he would not go in on the grift. He had his own money and was willing to say FU to the Uniparty grifters. He liked America and that was interfering with the cash flow. He totally messed up China's hooks into NAFTA.
Everyone loved him before he got into politics, but then he became Satan Incarnate. Or Hitler, depending on whether we are for or against Hitler this week. It's hard to keep up.

Just recently, I had an annoying episode involving passport renewal. I went and got photos, filled out a DS-82 online and sent everything in. Two weeks later, it all came back with a cover letter stating that the renewal was rejected because I was wearing glasses in the picture. Never mind my existing passport photo had me wearing glasses, the rules had changed and nowhere in the materials to renew via DS-82 and submitting existing passport was this explained. Now, when I moved to Florida and got a Florida DL, they had me remove my glasses for the photo. This is a Real ID compliant photo ID, and no glasses is part of the guidelines. So, it must be the case that these facial recognition databases are geared towards faces without glasses. If that's the case, putting on glasses, especially ones with heavy frames could be expected to throw the facial recognition algorithms off. But that's just a guess. Are they also making people who wear an eye patch remove that for these photos? That could be interesting. Anyway, I got a no glasses photo (no charge to get it taken again at FedEx Office - that's a plug) and sent it in again. We shall see.

/\ Vacation in Georgia. No passport require as of this writing.
[THEEPOCHTIMES] Several counties in Oregon on May 18 voted to consider joining the state of Idaho, which is part of a long-shot movement to break away from the state that has long been dominated by politicians in Portland.
Voters in Malheur, Sherman, Grant, Baker, and Lake counties approved various measures that require county officials to take steps to look into moving the Idaho border west to incorporate the counties.
The grassroots group Move Oregon’s Border for a Greater Idaho is aiming to have the eastern counties—which are mostly rural—join Idaho because they believe they would be better off with Idaho’s more conservative politicianship.
"This election proves that rural Oregon wants out of Oregon," lead petitioner Mike McCarter said in a statement to local media outlets on May 18. "If Oregon really believes in liberal values such as self-determination, the Legislature won’t hold our counties captive against our will. If we’re allowed to vote for which government officials we want, we should be allowed to vote for which government we want as well."
McCarter told the Oregonian last year that the bid to join Idaho is more of a "lifestyle/values judgment" that separates rural and urban residents.
Oregon’s Jefferson and Union counties already approved measures last year to promote a move to Idaho. Move Oregon’s Border for a Greater Idaho petitioners also want to absorb some counties in Northern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, which are also mostly rural.
Idaho Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, told Fox News last year that some Oregonians are "looking at Idaho fondly because of our regulatory atmosphere" and "our values."

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of Eastern Washington counties joined them.
Only the costal and Puget Sound areas are 'blue'. Well perhaps Spokane too..

I believe the title of article is incorrect. This is not secession. The counties in question are petitioning to have the borders of Idaho redrawn. The counties voted in favor on average of 62%. That is stunning. Idaho Gov and legislature is all on board. These 5 counties join 2 others who have already approved. Next phase to bring in all other Oregon counties. Eventually, Northern California counties are to be considered as well. Greater Idaho Movement!

They'll never be let go. Leftists would rather eat broken glass than hand the Right any kind of victory. Democracy? Self-determination? Shut up. Look for this issue to be censored on Facebook/Twitter/Youtube soon.

As it stands, this will also require congressional approval (which it won't get with this current crop of failures) and the state governing body would have to approve as well (fat chance).
If they really wanted to make a statement, they would send all state tax revenue to Idaho, have the Idaho state patrol come in and do normal operations, adopt Idaho constitution and put welcome to Idaho on the new borders.

/\ See - West Virginia... This will be the counter offer to "Make Washington, DC a state" and likely help kill that silly proposal. ("Silly" because the obvious solution is to follow precedent and invoke the Retrocession of most of the District to Maryland)

[PJ Media] While visiting Michigan on Tuesday, Joe Biden praised Squad member and prominent critic of Israel Rep. Rashida Tlaib and told her he was praying for the safety of her family in the West Bank as Israel responds to attacks from the terrorist group Hamas.
"I admire your intellect, I admire your passion, and I admire your concern for so many other people," Mr. Biden told Tlaib at a Ford plant in Dearborn. "From my heart, I pray that your grandmom and family are well. I promise you that I’m to do everything to see that they are. ... You’re a fighter, and God, thank you for being a fighter."

how they will win by buying Congress
It is probably their best strategy. At this point, I would not expect innovative space engineering from Boeing. Hell, they're having trouble making airplanes.
Congress again proving that they are whores for lobbyist money, especially Bezos and Amazon/Blue Origin and also SLS
Man, from these questions, Congress cannot stand that NASA ran a competition for a lunar lander, with the limited funds that Congress provided, and selected SpaceX. Lobbyists must be screaming at them.
