[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Egypt postponed the trial of 21 ISIS members to June 12 in the case known as the "ISIS Imbaba Cell II" in the Giza governorate.
One of the accused faces the charge of assuming the leadership of a terrorist group that aims to disrupt public order, endanger the safety of society, attack the general freedom of citizens, assault members of the armed forces and the police, harm national unity and social cohesion, and target churches.
The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with joining a terrorist group and committing terrorist financing crimes by possessing, supplying, and providing the group with money and information.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch cautiously raised his hat over the edge of the horse trough on the end of a stick...... the Cairo East Criminal Court delayed once again announcing the verdict in the case known in the media as "Filming the Belbeis airbase" for May 17th.
In 2017, an Egyptian court sentenced nine defendants to life imprisonment, and four to temporary imprisonment. It also sentenced four defendants to 10 years in prison, and four others were sentenced to five years.
They were also accused of receiving, by illegal means, one of the country’s defense secrets by taking photos of Belbeis airbase in preparation for targeting it.
The prosecution accused the defendants of killing and targeting security forces, monitoring a number of cop shoppes and vital installations, joining a terrorist group, and receiving training from ISIS-linked Ansar Bait al-Maqdis organization in Sinai.
The incident also included killing the deputy of Faisal cop shoppe in Suez, placing an bomb near a cinema in Suez, targeting army vehicles, the gas line at the Suez Petroleum Company and a ship in the canal, and monitoring security points along the Ismailia canal.
The same court postponed the trial of several defendants accused of joining a terrorist group and manufacturing bombs in an apartment in al-Haram in Giza governorate.
Investigations revealed that the defendants manufactured bombs inside an apartment, which was used by terrorist elements. The explosion killed seven coppers, three civilians, and injured 15 persons.

[Rudaw] The Ottoman Turkish military has advanced up to 20 km into the Kurdistan Region, a former Iraqi military chief of staff told Rudaw on Monday, blaming the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) for pulling The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... into the Kurdistan Region.
"In some places Turkey has advanced 9km, but in others they have advanced up to 15 to 20 km into the Kurdistan Region," Babakir Zebari told Rudaw’s Samia Hassan on Monday, accusing the PKK of having an anti-Kurdistan Region agenda.
"The PKK has clear antagonism against the Kurdistan Region. They have never held back to take the Kurdistan Region, that has been earned through thousands of deaders, away from Kurds," Zebari added. "This is their only goal, wherever there are Ottoman Turkish troops, they go and drag them deep into the Kurdistan Region."

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad pleaded with the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... Security Council on Monday to refer the ISIS group to the International Criminal Court after UN Sherlocks concluded the murderous Moslems committed "genocide" against Yazidis in Iraq.
"International tribunals are needed to address the universal magnitude of ISIS crimes against humanity," said Murad, using another acronym for the group.
"We asked you to refer this genocide to the ICC or establish a court by treaty. It is time for the international community to do more. It is time to act," added the 2018 Nobel winner, herself a victim of ISIS violence.
Murad referred to the latest report from a group of UN Sherlocks, headed by Karim Asad Ahmad Khan and created in 2017 to probe crimes committed by ISIS.
"The evidence collected by Mr Khan and the unit team affirmed the conclusion reached by the United Nations in 2016. ISIS crimes against Yazidis constitutes genocide," said Murad, AFP reported.
"The Council must now prioritize and accelerate concrete action to address the findings," she added.
The report released Monday completed probes into attacks against the Yazidi community in the Sinjar region and the mass killing of unarmed cadets and military personnel at Tikrit ...birthplace of Saddam Hussein... Air Academy in June 2014.
Khan told a presser presenting the findings there was "clear and convincing evidence that genocide was committed by ISIS against the Yazidi as a religious group."
"Evidence collected by the Team had also confirmed ISIS was responsible for acts of extermination, murder, rape, torture, enslavement, persecution and other war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated against the Yazidis," he said.
The report found the "repeated deployment of chemical weapons ...have not been used since WWI except for in Iraq, by the late, unlamented Saddam Hussein and in Syria, but really, honest, not by the Syrian government. And in Germany in WWII, but that was against civilians. Lots of them, just one of many reasons Hitler's also late and unlamented... by ISIS against civilian populations in Iraq between 2014 and 2016, as well as the testing of biological agents on prisoners."
