[FREEBEACON] An adviser to former president Barack Obama How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then... was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from a New York City public charter school system he founded.
Seth Andrew, former senior adviser to the White House in the Office of Educational Technology, is charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and lying to a bank, according to the Justice Department. Andrew allegedly embezzled $218,005 from the Democracy Prep charter school network, which he founded in 2005.
Authorities say Andrew used the illegally obtained funds to finance his home mortgage. In August 2019, Andrew purchased a $2,368,000 residence with his wife, CBS News Anchor Lana Zak. Andrew is scheduled to appear in a Manhattan federal court in May.
In 2019, Andrew allegedly withdrew funds from escrow accounts he and other school officials had opened between 2009 and 2013. The funds in those accounts were set aside in case the school dissolved and were not meant to be touched by school officials. At the time he withdrew the funds, Andrew had already cut ties with Democracy Prep.
The same day he withdrew the funds, Andrew opened a business account under the name of a Democracy Prep school at a different bank. He deposited the funds into the account, which he used to obtain a home mortgage at a lower interest rate.
"When you don’t have the necessary funds to put down, and you steal the money from your former employer to make up the difference, saving money in interest is likely to be the least of your concerns," FBI assistant director William F. Sweeney Jr. said in a statement. "We allege today that Andrew did just that, and since the employer he stole from was a charter school organization, the money he took belonged to an institution serving school-aged children."

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Charlotte's Arts & Science Council issued the extraordinary apology in a February report examining inequities in its funding practicesThe report called out the fact that black and minority groups have historically received far less funding from ASC than white organizations
It highlighted eight 'white, Western Eurocentric organizations' that have received the most money from ASC since its founding in 1958 Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Cairo can have symphonies but we can't?
Those eight included the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Opera Carolina and Children's Theatre of Charlotte and Charlotte Ballet
'ASC has been complicit in upholding funding practices that elevate certain cultures, creative traditions, identities and art forms above others,' it read
Report drew outrage from critics who said it diminished work of those groups
ASC Acting President Krista Terrell condemned critics in a blog post last week
She said the backlash showed 'the uncomfortableness, the defensiveness, and scaredness of white people reacting to the unvarnished truth'

Wow, they seem really serious. Guess they never want anymore of that evil white money again. Perhaps they can taste of the oppression by daily beatdowns or having themselves broken on the wheel. I mean, lets carry this moronic play out to the nth degree of stupidity.
#2
Those dang white people! Always going around inventing art and science and civilization and cable tv and Doritos(tm) and the aqueduct. They're irrepressible!

^ Indeed it does. I don't want to be prejudiced but every time something like this happens I have to judge it and, after a while, the judgments have a tendency to come first because of all the experiences that went beforehand.

But then, I supposed with the way things are going in our educational system, we could just as easily have some little snowflake spouting the same nonsense.

#9 Prejudice from Latin praeiudicium "prior judgment" (judgment based on prior experience). For example:
"There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then (I) look around and see someone white and feel relieved." - Rev. Jesse Jackson

I live in a Charlotte suburb and am happy to say I stopped contributing to the ASC over 10 years ago (after a change in ownership in my employer deemphasized the importance of supporting them.)

Merriam-Webster definition of "prejudice" includes preconceived judgment or opinion. (2) an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge
No prior experience of any kind is necessary to form & hold a "prejudice". My mother experienced a great deal of prejudice in her time and used that term instead of "racism". She didn't believe in "races" anyway. She recognized the politically driven part of "racis" discourse and didn't want to propagate the error more than it has been.

Prejudice? I never got burned in Chemistry Class -- I assumed all glassware was hot. Stereotypes are a survival tool, being too bigoted to change your perception in a specific case is not.
[NYPOST] Simon & Schuster Red Guards employees want the publisher to stop doing business with Trump administration officials — starting with Vice President Mike Pence.
In a letter Monday to Simon & Schuster’s top executives, more than 200 cadres staffers called on the company to cancel a recently announced memoir by Pence and to also refrain from signing any more book deals with Trump administration officials.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter — addressed to Jonathan Karp, Simon & Schuster’s CEO, and Dana Canedy, publisher of its eponymous flagship imprint — demanded the company not treat "the Trump administration as a ’normal’ chapter in American history."
It was signed by 216 insiders and included signatures from more than 3,500 outside supporters, including Jesmyn Ward, a two-time winner of the National Book Award for fiction, according to the report. Fire them
The petition also asked Simon & Schuster to cancel its distribution deal with Post Hill Press, a conservative imprint that plans to publish a book by a cop involved in the no-knock raid that killed Breonna Taylor, and which has a number books deals from authors pushing "stolen election" conspiracy theories.

[Chas. Kirk] Despite not having a background in the news industry or media, Hunter Biden will be featured as a guest teacher at a Tulane University for a class on how the media impacts public policy, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
The course, titled, “Media Polarization and Public Policy Impacts” features several guest speakers, including Biden.
The course syllabus states, “America’s rapidly advancing partisan divide is fueled substantially by the growing political polarization increasingly evident in our news media. This course will explore the current state of the media landscape in the United States and how media polarization, fake news, and the economics of the news business impact public policymaking in Washington, D.C.”
[NOLA] Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden and target of Republican attacks during the 2020 presidential campaign for his business dealings in Ukraine, is one of nine guest speakers scheduled to address a new 10-week class at Tulane University, a university spokesperson confirmed Tuesday night.

Combine it with the Giuliani raid, and maybe it isn't so much a class but a selection ceremony and acceptance into the inner circle propaganda machine.

Yes Rudy Giuliani's home raided for investigating Biden's election fraud "Ukraine dealings". This is so desperate, the AZ election audit must be finding enough to criminally charge Dims. If so, this means nothing to loose anymore, pubs, got it?
[Judicial Watch] Judicial Watch announced today that it received 540 pages and a supplemental four pages of documents from the office of the Secretary of State of California revealing how state officials pressured social media companies (Twitter, Facebook, Google (YouTube)) to censor posts about the 2020 election. Included in these documents were "misinformation briefings" emails that were compiled by communications firm SKDK, that lists Biden for President as their top client of 2020. The documents show how the state agency successfully pressured YouTube to censor a Judicial Watch video concerning the vote by mail and a Judicial Watch lawsuit settlement about California voter roll clean up.
The records were obtained in response to Judicial Watch’s California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests to the Office of the California Secretary of State for records related to the Office of Election Cybersecurity’s database of social media posts; communications with social media companies; and other social media related records regarding the 2020 elections. Judicial Watch filed the requests after a December 2020 report surfaced that the state agency was surveilling, tracking, and seeking to censor the speech of Americans:
The Office of Election Cybersecurity in the California Secretary of State’s office monitored and tracked social media posts, decided if they were misinformation, stored the posts in an internal database coded by threat level, and on 31 different occasions requested posts be removed. In 24 cases, the social media companies agreed and either took down the posts or flagged them as misinformation, according to Jenna Dresner, senior public information officer for the Office of Election Cybersecurity.
"We don’t take down posts, that is not our role to play," Dresner said. "We alert potential sources of misinformation to the social media companies and we let them make that call based on community standards they created."

[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Democrats are the party of the wealthy, a flip from decades ago when it was the party of the poor and middle class.
Democrats represented 65% of taxpayers with a household income of $500,000 or more in 2020, according to IRS ...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies... data, while 74% of taxpayers in Republican districts have household incomes of less than $100,000.
In 1993, the dynamic was reversed, with the typical Republican congressional district showing it was 14% wealthier than its Democratic counterpart. In 2020, data shows those Republican districts were now 13% poorer.
The data comes as some Democrats push to end former President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... ’s 2017 tax law, which caps the federal deduction for state and local taxes at $10,000. The beneficiaries would predominantly be the 1% of the United States’s wealthiest households, with property owners in high-tax states benefiting from the relief on federal taxes.
Democrats who won previously Republican districts campaigned on restoring the deduction, especially in states such as New York and New Jersey, where a handful of red districts were flipped blue in 2018.
"I’m not voting for any change in the tax code whatsoever unless there’s the restoration of the SALT tax deduction. I’m laying that chit on the table," Democratic New York Rep. Tom Suozzi said.

[FOXNEWS] The Biden administration is refusing to weigh in on the Iranian foreign minister claiming in a leaked recording that former Secretary of State and current Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, unsuccessful presidential candidate, and utterly failed Secretary of State... told him about secret Israeli operations being carried out in Syria.
In response, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) called on Kerry to resign during a speech on the Senate floor.
"It’s become clear...that our adversaries, whether Beijing or Iran, like it when John Kerry is in charge of foreign policy and national security. Why? Because they know how to use him to their advantage," Sullivan said.
Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) also called for Kerry to resign if the reports are true.
"It’s unfathomable that any U.S. diplomat, past or present, would leak intelligence to the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism at the expense of one of our staunchest allies. If this report is accurate and he did leak intelligence, John Kerry should resign," Gallagher tweeted.
Meanwhile, ...back at the mall, Clarissa spent the day shopping for new underwear. Tonight was going to be a special occasion... the Biden administration is not commenting on the matter.
"That we don't comment on purportedly leaked material, of course we can't vouch for the authenticity of it, for the accuracy of it, and so of course I'm not going to comment directly on what's on that tape on that recording," State Department front man Ned Ryan said Monday, Fox News’ Rich Edson reported.

How could a simple blivit such as this become a senator? Think back to the Tsarnaev boys, and what the locals said about them. Oh sure, they vocally hated America and wanted to destroy the country, but they just sounded like everybody else around here (Cambridge, MA). Maybe if we could get James Taylor on the case...
[LATIMES] Propelled by growing voter frustration over Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Republican-led drive to remove Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... from office collected enough voter signatures to qualify for the ballot, state officials reported Monday, triggering for only the second time in state history a rapid-fire campaign to decide whether to oust a sitting governor.
Recall backers submitted more than 1,495,709 verified voter signatures — equal to 12% of all ballots cast in the last gubernatorial election — meeting the minimum threshold to force a special recall election, according to a tally released by Secretary of State Shirley Weber. Barring intervention by the courts, Newsom will face a statewide vote of confidence by year’s end.
"We knew we gathered enough signatures, and now it’s time to turn it over to the voters," said Dave Gilliard, one of the strategists leading the effort to oust Newsom. "We’re very confident that they’re going to want to change direction in California and remove Gavin Newsom and go with someone else."
Newsom’s advisors expressed confidence that the governor will defeat the attempt to remove him from office and criticized the recall effort as the work of far-right supporters of former President Trump.

Excuse me - a 'rapid-fire campaign'? This has been going on for nearly a freakin' year.
[NYPOST] Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo’s go-to excuse for why he won’t resign over allegations of sexual harassment is that an investigation needs to happen first. But yesterday, when asked if he would step down if the inquiry overseen by state Attorney General Letitia James found evidence, he said: "The report can’t say anything different because I didn’t do anything wrong."
In other words, nothing will remove Cuomo from office unless the Legislature grows a backbone and impeaches him. Considering how state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins can’t decide whether she’s happy to be standing next to him or not, and she and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie just shook him down for millions in the state budget, don’t hold your breath.
Nope, Cuomo is here until he’s led out in handcuffs or is voted down for a fourth term next year.
As for the people that say he’s abusive or accuse him of bad behavior?
"People want attention," he said. "People are angry. People are jealous.’’

Told'ja. Everything else is theater, its all about power.
[NYPOST] All hell’s breaking loose in Hell’s Kitchen — indeed, all across the city. Yet Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... seems even more oblivious than ever.
From Friday to Sunday, police recorded 28 shootings across Gotham, including 14 on Saturday alone. That compares to just four shootings over the same days last year. And it capped a weeklong gunfire spree that saw 50 people shot in 46 incidents, a whopping 300 percent surge from 2020.
"It’s a gold era" for gun thugs, says John Jay College of Criminal Justice Professor Eugene O’Donnell, an ex-cop. "The word is out that the risks of carrying a gun are really negligible."
Actually, the risks of consequences from most crimes in the city have grown small. And the results predictable, as reputed gang member Takim Newson’s 12-hour crime rampage made clear.
Newson was charged with attempted murder just this month, but the judge still sprung him with no bail. Then cops stopped him Friday as his car blocked traffic — and Newson drove off, dragging one officer with him. Next, he broke into a house, threatened a 66-year-old woman and stole another car, police say.
Cops also had their hands full with Black Lives Matter protesters as they blocked traffic at the Brooklyn Bridge. (A few perps got . . . tickets. That’ll show ’em!)
And Hell’s Kitchen residents tell The Post that the homeless are taking over streets as the weather warms up. "This summer will be the night of the living dead," one activist frets.
On top of all this, cops are retiring in droves: Some 5,300 uniformed officers retired or put in their papers last year, a stunning 75 percent spike from 2019.
"Cops are forming a conga line down at the pension section," another John Jay adjunct prof and ex-cop, Joseph Giacalone, warns. He’s expecting a "long, hot summer," especially after the City Council voted to make it easier to sue cops personally.
Labor leaders, meanwhile, have called for more cops in the subways to protect workers who rely on them, following pleas by business groups for de Blasio to do something about violent mostly peaceful vagrants in Midtown.
In response, de Blasio’s rolling out a few programs unlikely to put a dent in the mayhem. The budget he unveiled Monday offers the NYPD virtually no new resources.
Hizzoner has a long record of ignoring business groups, cops and scared residents. But now even his labor allies are screaming for help. Surely he can do something meaningful to stop the madness.
