[POLITICO] The Department of Homeland Security is considering monitoring the travel of domestic extremists and expanding its use of the No Fly List, law enforcement sources told POLITICO. but not Antifa, BLM, or any other leftist gangs
The discussions are part of the Biden administration’s strategy of treating domestic terror as a national security threat, and not just a law enforcement problem. They're also part of broader conversations in government about how to use tools developed for the Global War on Terror to combat domestic extremism. And, if past is prologue, the approach could prove politically contentious.
The department could begin analyzing the travel patterns of suspected domestic extremists, monitor flights they book on short notice and search their luggage for weapons, a senior law enforcement official told POLITICO. There have also been discussions about putting suspected domestic violent extremists — a category that includes white supremacists — on the FBI’s No Fly List, the official said. When suspected extremists travel internationally, officials may be more likely to question them before they pass through customs and to search their phones and laptops.
A second law enforcement official told POLITICO that conversations about monitoring domestic extremists’ travel have involved multiple federal agencies at the interagency level, including the FBI.
"Domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today," a DHS spokesperson said in response to a request for comment. "DHS is committed to improving security and is reviewing options for enhancing screening and vetting protocols and travel pattern analyses, consistent with privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties."

Boulder had a 'rifle ban' until just the other day when a judge overruled municipalities having jurisdiction over the state.
This, like the Happy Ending shooter, is a story about businesses and civilians being prevented from even considering being armed, as well as a broad faced example of law enforcement being half an hour away, and a failure of civilian authority.
But its your fault, says government who investigated government.
It was about a year ago I saw a report from Topeka which proudly announced they had analysed all the cell phone location data for the previous 'two weeks to flatten the curve' and the heads were nodding in approval.

Now we can expect Apple, Google, ATT and Verizon to start feeding location-based time series data, plus biometric and whatever telematic data they have, to the FBI.
Pretty easy to create distinct profiles, map them to historic data and create predictive features that can then justify Lee-emotive state action against "likely" "terrorists"
We can be sure FISA will approve - if it even reaches FISA...

Ghani will unveil his proposal at an international gathering in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... next month, signalling his refusal to accept Washington’s plan for his elected government to be replaced by an interim administration, the officials said.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The testimony of Karim Abdel Salam, the criminal mastermind of the Bab Souika operation and one of the leaders of the Tunisian Ennahda’s youth, revealed the involvement of current leaders in the party in violence dating back to 1991.
The operation resulted in the burning of the guards at the headquarters of the ruling Democratic Constitutional Assembly and the execution of three young men from Ennahda.
Abdel Salam said that the operation "was plotted by the leaders of the movement, and executed by its youth."
He accused current leaders of the Ennahda movement of planning and criminal masterminding the terrorist operation in an open confrontation with the ousted regime of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
Moreover, he noted that the Bab Souika operation was deliberate and most of the movement’s leaders were aware of its details.
He also revealed an "extraordinary plot" at the time to resist the Ben Ali regime. It was developed by Abdel Hamid al-Jalasi, a prominent member of Ennahda, in cooperation with Habib al-Lawz, Abdel-Karim Harouni and al-Ajami al-Warimayn, all of whom are current leaders in the movement.
The plot was aimed at collecting weapons and preparing groups to target the headquarters of the dissolved Tagammu Party and to burn the premises of educational institutions.
Abdel Salam, who presented the testimony through Radio Shems FM, said that Rached Ghannouchi, the head of Ennahda movement, led a campaign at the time to mobilize the party’s supporters, adding that the movement had manufactured weapons locally at the beginning of the 1990s in preparation for an open confrontation with the Ben Ali regime.
In his response to the accusations, Ghannouchi said Abdel Salam’s testimony "is nothing but a miserable and desperate attempt to transform a political movement ... which is the largest in the country, into a security story, by trying to link it to terrorism."
A group of left-wing parties had on several occasions accused the Ennahda of running an illegal security apparatus, being behind political liquidations after 2011 and carrying out suspicions activity within the Ministry of Interior.

Ghannouchi was present at every annual meeting of the Terrorist International held in Khartoum beginning in April 1991. He was a close friend to the Sudan's Islamist eminence gris Hasan al-Turabi, and accompanied him in 1990 when they visited Saudi Arabia in an attempt to talk the Saudis into rejecting Western military presence on Saudi soil. Always playing the intellectual, Ghannouchi would eschew terrorism in Tunisia and looked the other way when it occurred elsewhere.
He never once rejected the aims of Osama bin Laden.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Cairo Criminal Court postponed the retrial of the acting leader of the Moslem Brüderbund, Mahmoud Ezzat, to April 12.
In 2015, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 20 suspects to life imprisonment, while Ezzat and 99 other defendants were sentenced to death by hanging after they were convicted in the case that included storming Egyptian prisons and assaulting security and police facilities.
According to the investigation, they were accused of committing 32 murders, smuggling around 20,000 prisoners, and kidnapping three officers and a police corporal.
They sought to undermine the country’s independence and the safety of territories as the protests of Jan. 25, 2011 erupted.
The prosecution accused the defendants of collaborating with leaders of the international Brotherhood organization, Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,'s Political Bureau and the Lebanese Hezbollah to overthrow the Egyptian state and its institutions, and train armed elements by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps to commit hostile and military acts inside the country.
They further assisted the criminal prisoners by providing them with information, funds, and forged identity cards to access the country.

[BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! In addition, more members of the terror group are to go on trial in June.
The decision to put the turbans on trial came as the federal government affirmed its determination to secure the country against threats to its corporate existence.
It also expressed the readiness of the military to execute the presidential directive to the armed forces and other security agencies to end all threats to national territorial integrity, including banditry, terrorism and kidnapping.

Irabor, who was represented by the OPSC Commander, Maj. Gen. Bamidele Ashafa, said: "The federal government of Nigeria does not condone Boko Haram. Over 1,000 Boko Haram members have been prosecuted. The rape jihad is finally being seriously addressed in England.
[Breitbart] A new child sexual exploitation unit in Manchester, England, has been launched after years of failure on so-called "grooming" rape gangs.
The Greater Machester Police (GMP) Force Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Unit, according to an official statement released on March 18th to mark National CSE Awareness Day, will be comprised of of 54 coppers and staff with "dedicated specialist skills and resources [for] investigating large scale and complex CSE investigations."
"It is not a gimmick. This has been in the planning since last year," insisted Deputy Chief Constable Mabs Hussain, in comments reported by the Manchester Evening News.
"If you want to make a difference you have got to have people who are passionate and care. If it means knocking someone’s door for something they did 20 years ago we are going to do it," Hussain promised.
"What I don’t want is a repeat of the past. I am not saying we will never make mistakes, we will because we are human. But when we make a mistake, we will apologise and do all we can to put it right.
"What I want to make sure of is that we are not intentionally because of our lack of focus making mistakes."
The senior officer was referring to the many failures of police forces, social services, and other authorities over decades with respect to so-called "grooming gangs", comprised predominantly of Moslems of South Asian heritage who targeted mostly non-Moslem and often white working-class victims.
Successive probes and investigations have found that police were terrified of being branded racist if they tackled the abuse, with officers saying their superiors told them to "try and get other ethnicities" and dismissing victims as making "lifestyle choices" to "hooker" themselves, or as participants in consensual sexual relations — a legal nonsense, given minors cannot give informed consent under British law, still less consent to being pimped out to dozens of men.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the number of victims discovered across 70 investigations by Greater Manchester Police now stands at some 468, 332 of whom have been identified, with the number of predators standing at an astonishing 809, 540 of whom "are known".
The force area, in which grooming gangs once operated in "plain sight", according to a report into the death of 15-year-old victim Victoria Agoglia, who died after being injected with heroin by a 50-year-old man while in the care of Manchester City Council, does not only cover Manchester proper, but also the infamous rape gang epicentre of Rochdale, where the new CSE unit is overseeing three units involving victims as young as nine.
Mainstream media, despite the huge focus it is currently putting on the issue of "male violence" against women in the wake of Sarah Everard’s apparent murder in London, has published very few reports on the grooming gang developments as of the time of this article’s publication.
One of the few outlets to run the story somewhat prominently is the Metro — despite having previously published an article complaining that "bleating" about grooming gangs was "being used to shut down important discussions about Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... [sic]".
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Opposition parties say The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... is paying a steep price for President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... ’s wayward economic policies after his shock firing of the central bank governor sent Ottoman Turkish financial markets reeling.
Erdogan dismissed Naci Agbal on Saturday, two days after the governor raised rates to curb inflation. Erdogan then appointed a critic of tight policy who is expected to reverse recent rate hikes, fueling fears of political meddling in monetary policy.
The lira slumped as much as 15% after the move, stocks dived and government yields jumped, piling pressure on the credit-fueled emerging economy, which has been prone to booms and busts during Erdogan’s 18 years in power.
Sahap Kavcioglu, a former politician from Erdogan’s ruling AK Party (AKP) who shares the president’s unorthodox view that high interest rates cause inflation, is Turkey’s third central bank chief since mid-2019.
"Turkey is paying the price for Mr. Erdogan’s thoughtless and reckless decisions with high interest rates, unemployment and high inflation," Iyi Party chairwoman Meral Aksener told her party’s politicians in a speech in parliament.
Erdogan recently announced an economic reform package but Aksener said it lacked credibility. She said Turkey’s economic woes - with inflation above 15%, high unemployment and a gaping current account deficit - left no alternative to high rates.
"High interest rates have become necessary. High interest rates are a fever medicine, not a permanent cure. As the treatment is delayed, it is inevitable for the patient to die," said Aksener, head of the fifth largest party in parliament.
’Unprecedented incompetence’
Faik Oztrak, deputy head of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), slammed what he called the AKP’s "ideological blindness".
"It is truly unprecedented incompetence to cause the Ottoman Turkish lira to lose more than 10% in a single day two days after interest rates were raised," he told a Monday news conference.
Erdogan has not commented on the move but a deputy head of the AKP, Nurettin Canikli, said Agbal had been dismissed because he did not use monetary policy instruments rationally.
Aksener said her party supported Agbal prioritizing price stability and faulted Erdogan’s economic management, under a presidential system which came into force after a 2018 election.
"Turkey has no macroeconomic problems. Turkey has macro-Erdoganic problems... What is the solution? To immediately get rid of this failed system and return to a parliamentary democracy," she said.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... has sought to justify its withdrawal from the Council of Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, better known as the Istanbul Convention, after a wave of criticism mainly by the United States and the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... In a statement, the Ottoman Turkish Foreign Affairs ministry said that its decision to withdraw from the treaty "should not be interpreted as compromising on combating violence against women."
"The Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence is a convention prepared with the main purpose of combating violence against women... However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... elements of the convention and various practices created sensitivity in the public and caused criticism," the statement added.
The ministry stressed that Turkey’s "laws guarantee the highest possible standard of women's rights", adding that the country would maintain its zero-tolerance policy against domestic violence.
The treaty, which was signed by the European Union on June 13, 2917, entered into force in 34 countries, including Turkey. But it was not implemented in Ukraine, Britannia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Latvia, Hungary, Armenia and Bulgaria, while Russia and Azerbaijan - the two members of the Council of Europe - refused to sign the agreement.
Some articles in the Istanbul Convention have sparked debate about gender equality and the harm it would cause to traditional family values in Turkey.
The Ottoman Turkish justifications came after the European Union strongly criticized Turkey’s move, while US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... said he was "deeply disappointed" with Ankara.
Women’s organizations in Turkey said that they would continue their protests against President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. Contrarian view: They deserve credit for being honest about their intentions
[NATIONALREVIEW] Presidernt Joe "The Big Guy" Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...... urged Congress to ban "assault weapons" and high-capacity magazines following the Boulder, Colo., shooting in which ten people were killed."I urge my colleagues in the House and Senate to act," Biden said at a presser. "We can ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines in this country once again."
Biden also called on the Senate to pass a bill already approved by the House, which tightens background checks for potential gun buyers.
"The United States Senate, and I hope some of them are listening, should immediately pass the [bills] that close loopholes in the background check system," Biden said. "These are bills that received votes from both Republicans and Democrats in the House." Can we ban ISIS, al-Qaeda, various Iranian sock puppets, and Sudden Jihad Syndrome instead? I think all of them should be illegal.

My question is, where were all the CCW holders? Boulder doesn't have any? In most other parts of Red Colorado there would have been at least one or two CCW returning fire. In Texas that MF wouldn't have gotten 2 feet past the door after killing 2 people in the parking lot.

The Boulder, Colorado killer was publicly identified on Tuesday after his supermarket killing spree.
21-Year-Old, Syrian born Ahmad Al-Issa killed 10 ten people including 51-year-old police officer Eric Talley on Monday during a shooting spree at a King Sooper’s grocery store.
The authorities identified the victims as Eric Talley, 51 (police officer), Denny Stong, 20; Neven Stanisic, 23; Rikki Olds, 25; Tralona Bartkowiak, 49; Suzanne Fountain, 59; Teri Leiker, 51; Kevin Mahoney, 61; Lynn Murray, 62; and Jody Waters, 65.

I'm sure they get a lot every day but if one of those warnings relates to someone getting a gun purchase background check you would think it would warrant a bit of attention.
Nobody has said he got the gun illegally, so the FBI has to take the heat for being incompetant. Perhaps another organization needs to be put in charge of background checks.

Good find, NoMoreBS. I didn’t see that really important information anywhere else — Rantburg truly is a team project.
Day 1 can be seen here.
Lone wolf on the FBI’s radar. BLUF: Syrian-American (came over with his family when he was three years old), possible paranoid schizophrenic, ISIS curious, had wanted but was unable to attack Trump rallies in February and March of 2020. Walked up to a grocery store and silently shot and killed the ten people he pointed his gun at. Fifteen security agencies from local police to SWAT to FBI descended on the store within minutes of the first call.
See also here.
[DenverPost] The 21-year-old Arvada man arrested in Monday’s mass shooting at a Boulder King Sooper’s was violent mostly peaceful, short-tempered and paranoid during high school, his former classmates said Tuesday.
Alissa purchased a Ruger AR-556 pistol seven days before the attack, according to a police affidavit released Tuesday.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is suspected of killing 10 people at the grocery store Monday when he walked in around 2:30 p.m. and began shooting, according to law enforcement. He was taken into custody about an hour later and was shot in the leg during the incident.
A handful of questions:
1. Not knowing the latest ATF constantly moving regulations. Would the AR-556 pistol be considered a SBR and require a ATF Tax Stamp? Or was this a Pistol at all and just a PR renamed AR-15 with a collapse-able stock.
2. Does Colorado have a Ban on all magazines that can hold more than fifteen rounds? If so is the AR-556 "pistol" sold in CO. with a high-capacity Mag? Besides what difference would it make? One or 2 "legal" mags would have done the trick.
3. What are the State or Boulders "Good guy" self defense laws?
Did their Gun carry laws preclude persons from being able to defend themselves? Thus making it easier for Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa.
4. It seems the media reports I have read avoided this next question. Was he radicalized ? Because reading some of his captured before censored FB posts he seemed to have a major issue with Christians. (eg. “The Muslims at the #christchurch mosque were not the victims of a single shooter. They were the victims of the entire Islamophobia industry that vilified them.”
5. Where he get the $800+ to purchase a AR-556? What job did he have that allowed him to save for $100 for 8 to 10 weeks to
make these purchases? NOTE: These are being sold at gun shows for well over $1,500.00
6. Why is it nut jobs can find 556/223 ammo? When everyone else's store shelves are bare?
7. Doesn't it seem coincidental that just as the Socialist Democrats are moving to stabilize their COUP's control with HR-1 Gun Controls or more likely Bans. That this almost perfect match for their agenda happens?
8. Now that the Social media has had 40+ hours to erase his tracks. What do we really know about him that he said about himself? Because all we have now are 2nd hand statements that he was a school bully.
9. I wonder if Colorado voters IF allowed would re-establish the Death Penalty that their politicians eliminated almost a year and a day of this Mass shooting? March 23, 2020, Colorado became the 22nd U.S. state to abolish the death penalty.
10. Was he and his family Green Card/Visa holders or US Citizens? If a Visa holder (non-US Citizen) how was he able to purchase the weapon and pass the background check?
11. Noting the medias (timely)comments of how Ahmad disliked Trumps Immigration policies and etc...Why did Ahmad do this during the Trump Admin instead of waiting for the Anti-Gun Agenda enhancing Harris/Pelosi Admin.

Any AR platform pistol is a pistol, until you put a rifle stock on it, at which point it becomes an SBR, subject to NFA regulations. Think about that for a minute. Changing the stock, but leaving the barrel alone changes it from a pistol to a rifle. Ooooookaaaayyy...

Alissa purchased a Ruger AR-556 pistol At the Rueger website, it is definately a long-barreled gun with a (collapsible??) stock.
has a 30-round capacity, according to Ruger’s website. You can buy it with a 30-round mag, unless you want one that's "state compliant", which offers a ten-round mag.
Has someone confused the first weapon with the second description? Was there a second weapon?

Was he and his family Green Card/Visa holders or US Citizens?
He is described as an American citizen.
he seemed to have a major issue with Christians.
I’ve been reading that as Dar el Harb, the house of war where Moslems are not running everything. He doesn’t seem very bright, even aside from paranoia and a hair-trigger temper, so I don’t think there is any deeper philosophy involved.
Where he get the $800+
He is living in his older brother’s house, who is probably supporting him as unable to work or as the much younger baby of the family— he doesn’t seem to have done anything at all since graduating from high school a few years ago, but the happy photos published by the Daily Mail linked yesterday suggest family money. I suspect birthday and/or Christmas Ramadan money, or just a shared credit card. The sister-in-law did not question that he had a gun, just that he was playing with it in public, and assumed it was put in his bedroom when the family took it away from him when he did so. And he drove on his own to the King Sooper in his brother’s car, arriving with two guns, not just the new handgun.
So either he had at least two guns or, as seems to me more likely, the family had a small collection.
Why did Ahmad do this during the Trump Admin instead of waiting for the Anti-Gun Agenda enhancing Harris/Pelosi Admin.
He is only just 21; schizophrenia blossoms about this age, making the impulses that much harder to resist. Also, he had wanted to go after Trump rallies a year ago, but just at that point the Covid lockdowns started. I suspect rather that he could no longer resist the drive to kill, so went for a nearby well-populated place instead of waiting until at least next year for another Trump rally.
I wonder if it will soon be discovered that he was a longtime pot smoker who’d recently upped his intake.

1) He was paranoid schizo, hyper-sensitive to perceived slights.
2) He was a HS wrestler without any academic or professional ambition. Not a reader of books or explorer of ideas.
3) He was uninformed about American society and evidently lacked any kind of social savvy or ability to distinguish between say white Colorado Springs Trumpers and white Boulder global-hippies
If the above point to anything, it's outside, foreign influence. Who on this planet lumps together white American leftists and white American conservatives? Only foreign jihadis.

"7. Doesn't it seem coincidental that just as the Socialist Democrats are moving to stabilize their COUP's control with HR-1 Gun Controls or more likely Bans. That this almost perfect match for their agenda happens?"
I believe the left is always working on a number of regulations to further their agenda and just push it forward at every opportunity. Even adjusting the narrative a bit here and here as necessary in the early days before facts are in if necessary.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council released Monday Ibrahim al-Sumaidaie who was in jug on charges of insulting the authorities after he criticized the parliament and the judiciary over the Federal Court Law.
The council issued arrest warrants last Saturday for two prominent political analysts Sumaidaie and Yahya al-Kubaisi accused of publicly "insulting" and "defaming" the authorities.
The council said Sumaidaie was released after recording his statement.
The warrant for his arrest cites Penal Code Article 226 for insulting official institutions by using "bad phrases" which "go beyond the limits of the freedom of expression", according to the council. The defendant admitted to his mistake and apologized.
The warrant also includes a complaint from the Defense Minister under Article 433/1 of the Penal Code which deals with the charge of defamation of an individual or entity.
The third case is based on the provisions of Article 210 regarding his statement to a TV channel claiming he was offered money to ensure a person a ministerial position.
The arrest of Sumaidaie led to a backlash among Iraqi activists who criticized the Judicial Council for using legal articles dating back to the era of the Baath Party, which allow accountability for critics of the authorities.
The articles contradict the provisions of the constitution that was approved after 2003 and allowed freedom of speech and expression for Iraqi citizens.
The case against Kubaisi, who lives abroad, remains pending. It is not clear if he had appointed lawyers to defend him and drop the charges against him.

In which a deep dive into the statistics is committed. The key one:
[Slate] In this bigger data set, the proportion of white mass shooters drops down to 56 percent, by my count. Judging by those newer numbers, and the most current census estimate that 76.9 percent of Americans are white, the whites-are-overrepresented-among-mass-shooters meme appears even less accurate. Perpetrators that Mother Jones classifies as Asian make up 7.4 percent of the data set, versus an estimated 5.7 percent of the population, while those MoJo identifies as black represent 17.0 percent of the mass shooters in the database versus an estimated 13.3 percent of the population. According to this data set, then, Asians and black Americans are overrepresented among mass shooters by about the same proportion (a bit more than one-fourth) that whites are underrepresented. This means the population rate of mass shootings by whites (at least according to the tiny sample measured in the MoJo database) is 0.021 per 100,000 people, while the corresponding rate of mass shootings by blacks is 1.7 times higher, at 0.037.
This disparity, which could be thought of as the statistical non-whiteness of mass shootings, is much smaller in magnitude than the one for killings nationwide. Overall murder rates among black Americans are 6.3 times higher than they are for whites, according to a report from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Another report suggests white offenders made up just 45.3 percent of everyone who committed homicides between 1980 and 2008.* In other words, white Americans may be somewhat underrepresented among mass shooters, but they’re even more underrepresented among all killers.

Even though whites are under represented as mass shooters in this article, it also seems to use the misleading FBI homicide database where Hispanics and Arabs (most of the Muslim shooters) as lumped with whites. Break them out separately and the results change dramatically.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] A number of American officials have confirmed that US troops will remain in northeastern Syria indefinitely in order to fight ISIS and support local forces in their fight against the terrorist group.
According to Defense One: "Senior US military officials describe what’s left of the group as a low-level insurgency that has more in common with a criminal gang than the transnational terrorist group that once controlled territory the size of Britannia."
"But that doesn’t necessarily mean US troops are coming home any time soon."
Sometimes, US troops on patrol still have rocks and fruit thrown at them. But it’s hard to know how much of that is a political statement and how much of it is just bored kids doing what bored kids do in country towns all over the world.
Lt. Gen. Paul Calvert, who commands the US-led counter-ISIS mission in Iraq and Syria, said the group is still able to establish training camps and other infrastructure inside the Badia Desert, where the United States doesn’t operate, and is still capable of carrying out the occasional high-profile attack.
"I think their ability to reemerge is extremely low right now, but the potential is always there, because they don't have a lot of pressure put on them" in the Badia Desert, Calvert said.
Military officials insist that their sole mission in Syria is the enduring defeat of ISIS.
US advisers and funds are carrying out a host of jobs geared at promoting local stability and preventing the group’s resurgence, including helping shore up makeshift SDF-run prisons holding thousands of ISIS fighters.
They are also grappling with the humanitarian and security crisis brewing inside the sprawling al-Hol camp that holds 65,000 ISIS wives and children.
"The more we can support the SDF in getting after ISIS, the less they feel vulnerable or distracted by the actions of either the regime, the Russians, or the Turks to the north, to make sure that they can still keep on looking after the detainees and al-Hol, because they've only got finite forces to do all this," said British Army Maj. Gen. Kevin Copsey, the deputy commander for strategy in the counter-ISIS mission.

[IsraelTimes] Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... is hiding equipment from international officials that could enable it to build a nuclear bomb, according to a Monday report.
Unnamed Western intelligence officials told The Telegraph that they fear Iran is concealing essential parts and pumps for centrifuges that are used to enrich uranium to the weapons-grade level of 90 percent.
The machinery is allegedly hidden at secret sites run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the report said.
Iran denies its nuclear program has military goals, but has repeatedly threatened to destroy Israel and has said that it can enrich uranium to 90% quickly if it wants.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] It was around this time in 2019 that ISIS lost its final holdout in Syria. The terror group fought fiercely but was ultimately defeated and driven out of the eastern village of Baghouz, the last sliver of territory left of a violent mostly peaceful "caliphate" that once was the size of the UK.
Two years later, concerns of an ISIS resurgence are increasing. Was the terrorist organization truly defeated? What is the status of its leader, branches and lone wolf recruits?
After crushing ISIS in Baghouz, then US President Donald Trump

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has

Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
