6 days: 6 officers targeted in 3 assassination attempts in 3 cities.
Not coordinated, you say? Sir William of Occam, what say you?
Thursday's attack on troopers in Arizona took place less than 48 hours after an unknown suspect fired three rounds at a moving patrol car in Suffolk, Virginia.
The officer escaped unharmed. As of this evening, no arrests have been made in that incident.
Three days prior, two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were sitting in their vehicle outside the Compton Metro station when an armed suspect ran up to the cruiser and opened fire.
The couple and their 10-day-old baby escaped injury after the assailants opened fire on their Clinton Street home about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, NJ.com reported.
Six of the seven bullets that struck the home made it inside – two through the front door, Camden Police Chief Joseph Wysocki said during a press conference Thursday night, the news outlet reported.

[LIBYAREVIEW] Libyan security forces have managed to set free a number of Egyptian workers who had been kidnapped by human traffickers. The workers were repatriated to Egypt, according to MENA news agency.
The news agency added that the Egyptian Intelligence Service (GIS) and Libyan authorities cooperated during this operation. The Egyptian newspaper Awan Masr reported that six Egyptians were freed after being kidnapped in the region of Bani Walid, south east of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... . Their kidnappers had demanded a ransom of 30,000 Dinars (about 5,000 USD) for each person.
In 2016, joint Egyptian-Libyan efforts led to the freeing of 23 Egyptian nationals who were kidnapped in the coastal region of Brega. Foreign workers have been subjected to kidnappings and ransoms in recent years.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Libyan National Army (LNA) front man, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari, announced the killing of the emir of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) terrorist organization in Libya, Abu Abdullah, in a specific operation west of Sabha ...After the Libyan Civil War, Sabha grew in importance as a slave auctioning town. However, an investigation by the National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) revealed that while there was illegal slavery, reports were exaggerated, as slave auctions were rare and not made public. This was a great comfort to everyone but the slaves peddled in secret. The city was later seized by forces loyal to the Libyan National Army (LNA) and its leader Khalifa Haftar in January 2019, probably for its collection of MiG-25 aircraft.... .
According to Mismari, the LNA received information about an Islamic State terrorist cell in the neighborhood Kafi of Sabha, pointing out that the "116th Infantry Battalion clashed with the group in a battle that lasted seven hours straight."
He said, "The battle ended with the elimination of nine gunnies and the arrest of two women, one from Benghazi named Sana Abdul-Hadi Salem, born in 1980, the wife of the ISIS terrorist Othman al-Abbar, who was killed in the operation, and the other woman is the wife of the emir of ISIS in Libya, and she is an Egyptian named Najla Mahmoud Afifi Hussein."
The Libyan National Army front man pointed out that several other people had been arrested, including a Libyan, three Saudis, an Egyptian, a Sudanese, a Nigerian, and another from the Ivory Coast.
Previously, the Libyan National Army killed two Islamic State gunnies in southern Libya, including an Australian national, after a brief clash with the group.

If you are going to enter Yemen, use protection. And get a penicillin shot afterwards.
Speaking of khat, given the popularity of the drug with a certain African demographic AND the growing Somali population in Minnesota, I would expect some sort of international trade to supply local demand. I've never heard mention of this on the news, so I automatically assume it exists.
Being a fresh agricultural product, I'm guessing it gets flown in from Africa as regular air freight, possibly after being shipped by land to some less obvious point of origin.
Update: Christopher Joseph Babb, 50, is being prosecuted by the DA on charges of felony riot & more. He was arrested at the BLM-antifa riot outside Ted Wheeler's condo on 1 Sept. The Liberal Socialist Democrat adoption of lawlessness for votes has backfired and there is no recovery.
To the PORTLAND Liberalized DA Office .
Way too Little and 100+ days way too late.
Where were was the DA office 99, 60, 30 and even 10 days ago? Your office was refusing to charge Violent Protesters and Looters.
The only reason for the sudden change is simple. VOTES. The LSD's polls show most of America's voters are 100 Percent Fed-up (☺) and voting TRUMP & GOP. Even record numbers of the Black, Jewish, and yes normally Democrats groups are Voting Trump. All that is left is rebellion to fight the Ballot results.
Like the MEME this morning on Woodstermann more or less said: If you agree with the ideas of socialism, emptying of jails, abolishing bail, elimination of police, banning citizen ownership of firearms, blockading traffic, support a racist group, abortion at birth, polar bearing, rewriting the Bill of Rights, rioting and looting. Then you are a Democrat voter.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A Portland self-described "proud nonbinary queer" activist is facing charges for shining a high-powered green laser directly into the eyes of cops during a violent mostly peaceful Black Lives Matter-Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... riot in July.
28-year-old Kason Avery O’Connor, originally known as Kourtni Aliesha Pierson,—and whose pronouns are "they" and "them"—was charged with two counts of unlawful directing of light from a laser pointer, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office announced in a blurb on Wednesday.
O’Connor, originally from Mesquite, Texas, who also uses the aliases "Kason Ralph" and "Lucifer Avery Pierson," is accused of being at the July 13 riot where far-left demonstrators hurled rocks, glass bottles, and bricks at law enforcement outside the Portland Police Association building. The gathering was organized by various Antifa groups in Portland and was part of more than 100 days of violent mostly peaceful protests. Rioters also fired metal ball bearings using slingshots after blinding targets with paint. A construction worker was struck during the riot.
According to court documents, O’Connor was identified in the crowd assaulting officers’s eyes with an intense green laser. O’Connor reportedly expeditiously departed at a goodly pace but was compliant when police made physical contact. The suspect was booked and quickly released without bail. The former charges by police were dismissed at the arraignment.
Earlier this year, O’Connor petitioned the Mulnomah County courts for a name and legal sex change. I'm non-binary non-practicing heterosexual (i.e., I only swing one way, and I still miss). My pronouns are "it" and "those things."

If they just release them with no bail why bother arresting them in the first place? Just let them burn and loot and let the insurance companies sort it out.
[NYPOST] Firebrand Rep. Ilhan Omar ...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She was apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side... of Minnesota appears to be rubbing some of her fellow Democrats the wrong way — with one of them declaring she shouldn’t even be in the party.
In a video obtained by The Post, fellow Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson torched the scandal-scarred progressive politician after previously defending her controversial "Some people did something" remarks about 9/11.
"Do you have any comment as to why you defended Ilhan Omar?" an employee with the National Republican Congressional Committee asked Peterson on Capitol Hill on Thursday.
"I don’t defend her. She doesn’t belong in our party," the 16-term politician responded.
When asked to clarify himself, a COVID-19-masked Peterson repeated, "She doesn’t belong in our party," as he walked away.
Omar won a competitive primary fight in her downtown Minneapolis district by a landslide last month, but Peterson is facing a tough re-election battle in his increasingly red rural Minnesota district.
The Gopher State representatives are both members of the Minnesota Democratic—Farmer—Labor Party and have voted together on issues like police reform in the past.
It’s unclear why Omar and Peterson have fallen out but his remarks may be an attempt to distance himself from the progressive left flank of his party as he braces for a brutal challenge from GOP candidate, former Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Michelle Fischbach.
In a TV interview last April, Peterson tried to defend the Somali-born politician’s comments on the Sept. 11 terror attacks, saying: "I think she was trying to say that some people in her community feel like they’re being targeted."

Actually, you don't belong in her party. If you haven't notice, they left you. Long time past you and the Never-Trumpers form the Liberal Party of whom you really are.

Peterson is the long-term incumbent from my (very rural) district. He's held on thru an NRA A+ rating and support for Agriculture. OTOH, since he voted for the bill that allows biological males to use the girls' room, so he may be in for a surprise.
[NYPOST] Two Iranian nationals have been indicted on charges of hacking into US computer networks and stealing data to sell on the black market — sometimes at the behest of the Iranian government, federal prosecutors announced.
Hooman Heidarian, 30, and Mehdi Farhadi, 34, both of Hamedan, Iran, were accused Wednesday of stealing and selling hundreds of terabytes of data, including some national security intelligence, nuclear information, intellectual property and personal financial information, the Justice Department alleged in a charging announcement.
"We will not bring the rule of law to cyberspace until governments refuse to provide safe harbor for criminal hacking within their borders," Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers said in a statement.
"Unfortunately, our cases demonstrate that at least four nations — Iran, China, Russia and North Korea ...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche... — will allow criminal hackers to victimize individuals and companies from around the world, as long as these hackers will also work for that country’s government — gathering information on human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... activists, dissidents and others of intelligence interest. Today’s defendants will now learn that such service to the Iranian regime is not an asset, but a criminal yoke that they will now carry until the day they are brought to justice."
The men are on the lam, believed to be in Iran, and are wanted by the FBI.
On Wednesday, the Justice Department also unsealed charges against five Chinese nationals for their alleged hacking of over 100 companies in the US and overseas, including social media companies, universities, nonprofit organizations and think tanks, as well as activists and politicians in Hong Kong.
In its announcement, the department said the five Chinese citizens were on the lam in China.

The statement continued: “During the month of August 2020, the so-called Yasmine Jaber (a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem who works in the National Library of Israel) was arrested for investigation, after she was suspected of being recruited for the Lebanese Hezbollah organization”
The statement read, entitled: “The recruitment of an Israeli citizen from Jerusalem by the Iranian Quds Force and the Lebanese Hezbollah was revealed,” and it also clarified that “other members of Yasmine Jaber’s acquaintances from East Jerusalem and Ramallah, who were suspected of being involved in the activities of a cell headed by Yasmine in Israel, including the so-called Tasnim al-Qadi (a resident of Ramallah, has resided in Turkey in recent years).”

According to a source in Damascus, the two sides discussed a number topics, including the ceasefire in the Idlib Governorate and the Ottoman Turkish presence in areas controlled by the government.
The source said The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... rejected the Russian proposal to handover their observation posts, which are currently surrounded by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
He added Turkey proposed a plan that would require the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to withdraw from Tal Rifa’at and Manbij in northern Aleppo and handover these towns to Ankara.
The proposed plan was rejected by the Russian delegation, as the Syrian Armed Forces are present in Tal Rifa’at and there is no security threat at either of the two towns.
Turkey has sought to take over Manbij and Tal Rifa’at since the Syrian Democratic Forces and People’s Protection Units (YPG) captured these two towns in the Aleppo Governorate.
In Tal Rifa’at, the Syrian Army and YPG have a security agreement that allows both forces to control the town.
Other than the security threat posed by Turkey and its allied Death Eaters in Tal Rifa’at, the town has been relatively safe for the locals and refugees living there.
