The 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said the Talibs were planning to attack the army outposts in Do Mandi and Sur Kali areas of Musa Khel district.
The statement further added that the security forces launched operations with the support of the air power, killing at least 18 Talibs.
The security forces also maimed at least 11 other Talibs during the operation, the 203rd Thunder Corps said, adding that the turbans were also planning to plant Improvised Explosive Devices to inflict casualties on security personnel and ordinary civilians.
Furthermore, the security forces discovered a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device or a motor bomb during the operation and successfully defused it.
The Taliban ...Arabic for students... group has not commented regarding the report so far.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said a group of Talibs were looking to launch an attack in the vicinity of Dawlatbad district of Faryab on Friday.
The statement further added that the security forces retaliated and launched counter-attack, killing at least 2 turbans of the group.
The security forces also maimed 3 other Talibs during the same operation, the 209th Shaheen Corps added in its statement.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
[KhaamaPress] An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) inflicted casualties on five civilians in norhtern Kunduz proivnce of Afghanistan, the Afghan security officials said.
Tariq Arian, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said a roadside kaboom planted by Talibs went off in Pul-e Khumri city late on Friday.
The statement further added that the incident took place in Bagh-e Shamal area of Pul-e Khumri city, the bustling provincial capital of Baghlan province.
The explosion killed four civilians after their vehicle struck the bomb and maimed another civilian, Arian added.
The Taliban ...Arabic for students... group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
[ToloNews] The Office of National Security Council (ONSC) on Saturday said that 46 Afghan non-combatants were killed and 93 others were maimed in Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... violence in 23 provinces of the country in the past week.
ONSC said that the majority of the civilian casualties were reported in Ghor, Badghis and Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... provinces.
But, the ONSC has not provided any details about how many civilians have been killed during this period as a result of government forces’ attacks and operations.
The Taliban launched attacks on Baharak district of Takhar and Keran Wa Manjan district of Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan.
The Taliban also launched an attack in the Kalakan district in Kabul on the Kabul-Parwan highway, which resulted in the killing of the Kapisa police administrative officer and one other police officer, and wounding the deputy police commander of Kapisa and one other.
"They (Taliban) are an ideological group and will not bring change in their program, also they can't terminate their ties with the foreigners who are serving in their ranks," said Mirza Mohammad Yarmand, a military expert in Kabul.
The ONSC said that 433 Taliban fighters were killed in the recent spate of violence. But the Taliban has not commented.
"Najibullah Safi, the deputy commander of Kapisa police headquarters and Haseebullah; an IT engineer, were martyred," said Shaqayeq Shoresh, a front man for the Kapisa Police HQ.
"They staged an attack on Baharak district and some other areas in Abdal area of Taluqan city, but they were countet-attacked with full force by the Afghan cops. The firefight left at least 12 armed opponents dead, including several of their key commanders," said Mohammad Jawad Hejfi, a front man for Takhar's governor.
"Manjan (Kera wa Manjan district) is no longer controlled by government forces, the Taliban are trying to takeover the entire district to get access to Takhar and Panjshir provinces and also to lazuli mines which exist in this area," said Abdullah Naji Nazari, a member of Badakhshan's provincial council.

The Ministry of Defense in separate statements reported Taliban attacks on Afghan forces outposts in Takhar, Khost, Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... , Baghlan and Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... provinces over the last 24 hours. The ministry said dozens of Taliban fighters were killed and maimed in these festivities and that their attacks were repelled by Afghan forces.
Meanwhile, ...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco... two police, including the administration officer of Kapisa police headquarters, were killed in an attack on their vehicle on the Kabul-Parwan highway in Kalakan district in Kabul province, north of Kabul city.
Two others, including the deputy chief of Kapisa police, were maimed in the incident, according to Abdul Ghafoor Popalzai, the district governor of Kalakan.
This comes as violence has increased in the country despite peace efforts by the Afghan government.
Data collected by TOLOnews from the government shows that 50 security incidents took place per day day on average in Afghanistan from around the reduction in violence week and the signing of the US-Taliban deal in late February until late June.
[AnNahar] Gunmen killed at least 20 people, including children, who were visiting their farms in Sudan's war-torn Darfur region for the first time in years, a tribal chief said Saturday.
"Two months ago the government organised a meeting between the original landowners and those who took their fields" during the long-running war in Darfur, Ibrahim Ahmad told AFP by telephone.
"An agreement was reached whereby the landowners would return to their fields -- but gunnies came on Friday and opened fire, killing 20 people, including two women and kiddies."
The killings took place in Aboudos, some 90 kilometres south of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur province, the tribal chief said.
Around 20 people were maimed in the attack, he said.
The corpse count "could well increase, because some of the maimed are in a serious condition", he added.

He is wanted by the Hague-based International Criminal Court over charges of genocide and crimes against humanity in Darfur.
A power sharing transitional government between civilians and the military was sworn in during September last year.
In January this year, a coalition of nine rebel groups -- including factions from Darfur -- signed a preliminary agreement with the government after weeks of talks.

[GatewayPundit] A person in an SUV hopped over a curb and attempted to run over peaceful protesters holding a "Defend the Police" rally in Colorado on Saturday.
The rally, organized by the Northern Colorado Young Republicans, was in the grass and away from the street when the driver of a red SUV attempted to hit them.
The suspect attempted to flee the scene with Eaton Police officers pursuing them. The police were able to stop and arrest him after a short chase.
"According to rally participants, the same suspect made their way east along the street prior to the incident, flipping off the crowd," the Tribune report states.
Which shit is that? 1) a person drove into a defend the police rally 2) That that rally was away from the street 3) that the police caught the driver after a short chase 4) that the same driver had earlier flipped off the crowd 5) some combination of the above 6) the whole story.
Congress Ave. is the city’s main downtown north-and-south artery. Sixth Street is Austin’s famed bar and live music drag and that area is the city’s major downtown entertainment district. Some downtown bars and restaurants have reopened in recent weeks, though all are struggling with the pandemic restrictions and the protests sometimes making it all but impossible to conduct normal business.
According to a witness, the incident began when the driver on Fourth Street honked, turned right and sped down Congress, driving through the crowd. He appeared to hit an orange barrier in the road and came to a stop, said Michael Capochiano, who attended the protest.
“There were people around the car, yelling, and people sounding like they were frightened,” Capochiano said.
A protester with a rifle approached the car, and the driver pointed his gun outside the window, Capochiano said. The driver fired several shots, then sped away, he said.
The man with the rifle “dropped to the ground when he got shot,” Capochiano said.
If this was a typical Austin protest, it did not have a permit and any blocking of streets was not sanctioned. Protesters have tended to take over streets on their own, preventing residents and visitors who have nothing to do with the protests from accessing streets or the businesses on them.
According to a source with knowledge of the events that transpired Saturday night, the protesters surrounded the wrong car. The driver was armed, as is legal in Texas, and fired when the man with the rifle approached the driver’s car and pointed his gun at the car window.
The driver was detained and according to APD, is cooperating with police.
The Austin American-Statesman updated their article, which adds:
Although police have not yet released the names of the victim and suspect, the alleged victim’s mother [said] that her son Garrett Foster was killed.

Watched the video. Didn't see anybody 'speeding', although it might be different from another angle.
Didn't look like the vehicle would have been able to actually get up in speed with the short distance from the corner to where the incident happened. He/she may have gunned the engine, but stopped about twenty feet of the corner.

A Black Lives Matter protest in the streets of downtown Austin turned violent when, Garrett Foster, who was armed with an AK-47, allegedly fired at a vehicle attempting to pass a human blockade set up by the protestors. The driver allegedly fired back three times, killing the armed man.
While the case remains under investigation, the driver who fired the fatal volley that killed Foster turned himself in and is cooperating with the police.

[The Post Millennial] Antifa militant and convicted pedophile Blake David Hampe was arrested in the early hours of Saturday following his alleged stabbing of a black Trump supporter in Portland.
The Trump supporter and conservative, who goes by the name Black Rebel on social media, posted several updates to his condition from the ambulance and hospital. In the Periscope livestream, he alleged that Hampe had stalked him and his group of friends for several blocks in Portland before stabbing him.
Black Rebel stated that Antifa militants doxed his identity and posted his location on social media and advised each other to "watch out" for him.
"That knife was long enough. He stabbed me to kill me," said Black Rebel, who says that he spotted Hampe, who was part of a group of Antifa following his group of friends for several blocks before he approached Hampe to ask why he was following them.
"We were all out there, four friends, trying to keep each other safe in the best way possible. I figured I'd try to de-escalate and just have a conversation," he said. "I went over there, said ‘what's up buddy?' and that mother**ker went around and shanked me in the f**king kidney."
Footage of Hampe's arrest was captured by several photojournalists, including Garrison Davis, who posted video of the Portland Police Bureau taking him into custody.

Trump supporter and conservative videographer Drew Duncomb, who goes by the name Black Rebel on social media, was allegedly stabbed amid the Portland protests by Antifa militant and convicted pedophile Blake David Hampe. Hampe was arrested on Saturday with a bail set to $250,000 for felony assault.
Duncomb was filming at the protest for Common Sense Conservative media group. He believes Hampe targeted him, because Antifa doxxed him on social media, he told The Post Millennial.
Duncomb is stable and still in the hospital. No major organs were touched but doctors believe that 7-inch blade went all the way into his lower right flank, he told TPM.

[Fox10Phoenix] An Arizona woman was arrested for attempting to provide material support to the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, the FBI said.
According to a news release, Jill Marie Jones was arrested on July 22 after she was communicating with two undercover FBI agents, one of whom she believed to be a member of Al-Qaeda.
Jones allegedly agreed to send money to purchase scopes for rifles that would be used by Al-Qaeda to kill American soldiers. In May, Jones gave the undercover agent $500 on a prepaid gift card.
Jones then purchased airline tickets to fly overseas to join Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan but changed her flight to Turkey due to airport closures. She then planned on traveling to Syria.
Jones was arrested at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on July 22 after checking in for her flight.
Update from Heavy.com at 10:45 a.m.: Ms Jones is another one who discussed all with her very bestest friends, the FBI informants.
