[ToloNews] At least four members of the Afghan National Police were killed in a Taliban

attack in the city of Gardez, the center of Paktia province in eastern Afghanistan.

The attack happened as the forces on Monday evening were breaking their fast, according to presidential front man Dawa Khan Minapal, who shared the news on his Twitter account.

This comes amid an increase in Taliban attacks across the country; however, this incident is notable because it it is the first time an attack has occurred in major city following the US-Taliban deal signed late in February.

The Taliban has grabbed credit for the attack.

Tatar Islamic Scholar Arrested For Allegedly Running Branch Of Banned Islamic Group
[RFERL] Gabdrakhman Naumov, a noted Islamic scholar in Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, has been arrested on suspicion of creating and running a branch of a banned Islamic group.

Naumov's lawyer, Ruslan Nagiyev, told RFE/RL that his client was apprehended about a month ago on suspicion of being the leader of the Nurcular Islamic group.

Naumov is well-known in Tatarstan as a teacher at the Russian Islamic University and as the former imam of a mosque in Tatarstan’s capital, Kazan.

"His arrest has been a shock for many in Tatarstan. Many religious and civil rights figures support Naumov. Nobody believes that he may be a leader of some sort of an bully boy group," Nagiyev said, adding that his client has rejected the charge.

Nagiyev also said that law enforcement authorities in Tatarstan have already added Naumov to a list of bully boys, although his trial is still pending.

Since 2013, several alleged members of Nurcular have been arrested across Russia.

Nurcular was founded in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor...
by Islamic scholar Said Nursi, who died in 1960. It has been banned in Russia since 2008.

The Nurcular movement, which has millions of followers around the globe, especially in Turkey, has been banned in Russia since 2008.

Russian authorities have said the group promotes the creation of an Islamic state that encompasses all Turkic-speaking areas and countries in the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia's Turkic-speaking regions in the North Caucasus and Volga region.

India-Pakistan
Two Pakistani Soldiers, Nine Militants Killed In North Waziristan Clash
[RFE/RL] Pak military officials say at least two soldiers from The Mighty Pak Army and nine murderous Moslems were killed in a shootout late on April 25 near the border with Afghanistan.

Pakistain's Inter-Services Public Relations, the military's media wing, said on April 26 that five Pak soldiers also were maimed in the clash that took place in the volatile tribal region of North Wazoo.

It did not identify which turban group the button men were thought to be linked to.

According to Pak officials, security forces captured what they described as "an accomplice" of the murderous Moslems and seized "a large cache" of weapons and explosives from a hideout used by the murderous Moslems in North Waziristan.

Terrorists linked to al-Qaeda, the Haqqani network
...a branch of the Afghan Taliban, based in Pakistain. The network is a family business founded by the later Jalaluddin Haqqani...
of the Afghan Taliban
...Arabic for students...
, and Pak murderous Moslems have all been active in the region during the past decade.

The Pak military managed to push murderous Moslems out of their border-region strongholds through a series of offensives since 2014. But murderous Moslems continue to stage surprise attacks there.

The latest clash was the fifth between security forces and murderous Moslems in the area within the past month.

That has reinforced concerns that the murderous Moslems may be trying to regroup in their former strongholds in Pakistain.

He added, "With high coordination between the army, the PMF, and the border guards, the operation targeted areas that had light security, where they will be secured."

For his part, the director of al-Walid Abdul Munim al-Tarmouz district said that "ISIS launched an attack with medium and light weapons on the border side with Syria in the Anbar province."

He added, "The attack was launched from the depth of the desert and was dealt with after violent festivities erupted between the army and tribes against members of the organization."

Five prisoners from Homs die under torture in Sednaya prison
[SYRIAHR] The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented today the death of five civilians from Homs province, three of whom were from Deir Ba’alaba, a young man from the village of al-Ghanto, and another from the village of al-Haswaiya, were all killed under torture in Sednaya prison

The number of civilians killed in regime prisons rises to 16,176 civilians documented by the Syrian Observatory : 15,988 men and young men, 125 children under the age of eighteen and 64 women since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, out of 104,000, the Syrian Observatory had learnt that they died inside regime prisons.

The Syrian Observatory had obtained information from a number of reliable sources which confirmed that civilians had been executed and killed inside Syrian regime and intelligence prisons, including more than 83 percent who were executed and killed inside these prisons between May 2013 and October 2015, SOHR sources also confirmed that more than 30,000 of detainees were killed in the notorious Saydnaya prison, while the second most dominant percentage was in regime airforce intelligence prisons.

Turkish army cuts off roads at administrative border near the new crossing of HTS
[SYRIAHR] The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the deployment of the Ottoman Turkish army near the junction of Katian town, to block HTS trucks which intend to enter regime-controlled areas near the town of Ma’ara al-Na’asan.

The roads to Ma’arat al-Na’asan have been cut off with Aleppo countryside. Several Ottoman Turkish vehicles have been deployed in Ma’arat al-Na’asan and Shalkh to prevent the passage of large vehicles.

This development comes as Ottoman Turkish forces prevent the factions from establishing trading relations with regime forces.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had monitored widespread popular discontent over HTS’s decision to open a commercial crossing with regime-controlled area. The residents of Ma’arat al-Na’asan town and nearby towns and villages took out to the streets protesting HTS’s decision, expressing their rejection of the opening of a commercial crossing with regime-controlled areas, especially with the outbreak of coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic in regime-controlled areas.

SOHR sources reported earlier that HTS removed the soil barriers and dismantled and detonated landmines in the area of separation between Ma’aret al-Na’assan and Miznaz in western Aleppo countryside, in order to open a new commercial crossing linking its areas to Syrian regime-controlled areas.
