[Conservative Review] In a 51-40 party-line vote Wednesday afternoon, the Senate voted to confirm Brian Buescher as a federal district judge for the district of Nebraska after he faced scrutiny from Judiciary Committee Democrats late last year for his membership in a Catholic fraternal organization.
Buescher found himself at the middle of a national debate about religious intolerance late last year after he was questioned by Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono, Hawaii, and Kamala Harris, Calif., about his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
"The Knights of Columbus has taken a number of extreme positions," Hirono said in December, noting the group’s adherence to Catholic teaching on same-sex marriage. "If confirmed, do you intend to end your membership with this organization to avoid any appearance of bias?"
Before the vote, Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska took to the Senate floor to defend Buescher and urge colleagues to vote in favor of confirmation.
"Brian’s confirmation process has been an occasion for one of the most baffling displays of constitutional confusion and for prejudice I’ve seen in my time here," Sasse told the chamber.
"Brian is a Catholic, and he’s a member of the Knights of Columbus. The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world," Sasse pointed out. "This is not a scandal."
"But according to some of my colleagues," Sasse continued, "the Knights of Columbus is an extremist outfit. One of my colleagues suggested that Brian needs to resign his membership in the Knights if he were confirmed to the federal bench to ’avoid the appearance of conflict and bias.’ Really bizarre stuff."
Sasse also called the questions about Buescher’s membership in the organization "plain, unadulterated anti-Catholic bigotry."
Buescher is not the only judicial nominee to be questioned about his involvement in the Knights of Columbus. Sasse also came to the defense of then-nominee Peter Phipps after he was asked similar questions during his confirmation last month. Phipps was confirmed by a 56-40 vote earlier this month.
WASHINGTON, July 27 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump hit out at a prominent African-American critic on Saturday, calling him a "brutal bully" who should concentrate on cleaning up his "disgusting, rat and rodent infested" Baltimore district rather than criticizing the work of U.S. immigration officers on the Mexican border.
Trump's target in a series of early morning tweets was U.S. Representative Elijah Cummings, Democratic chairman of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, who has called Trump a racist and sharply criticized his immigration policies.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to Trump by calling Cummings a champion for civil rights and economic justice and added in a tweet: "We all reject racist attacks against him and support his steadfast leadership."
On Thursday, the committee voted 23-16 along party lines to allow Cummings to issue subpoenas to White House officials, including Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner, deepening a probe into potential violations of government record-keeping laws.
Later Saturday, Trump signaled his anger with Cummings' committee efforts, writing in another tweet that the Democrat "spends all of his time trying to hurt innocent people through 'Oversight.'"
Trump, a Republican, took aim at Cummings' criticism of his administration's Mexican border policies.
"Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA......," Trump tweeted.

Never been to Baltimore but I flew over it while landing in a near by area 20 years ago. It looked nasty from above way back then. Nothing but a "favela" for sure.

Repeat of the great Puerto Rican $hitShow:
1. Trump calls corrupt & incompetent local officials corrupt & incompetent.
2. Local officials + Dem leadership + Media/Entertainment Conplex calls Trump Satan Mussolini DavidDuke.
3. Local officials' corruption and incompetence leads to criminal charges and civil unrest.
4. Dem leadership and MediaEntertainment Complex ignore, then downplay, then redirect & change subject.

Rep Elijah Cummings is a partisan scumbag whose wife is being funded by the taxpayer for doing nothing but he is only minimally responsible for the crime in his district. That responsibility belongs mostly to the municipal govt.

When Rep. Hank Johnson compared Jews to "termites" and the Orange Man to "Hitler", I don't recall Elijah Cummings saying anything.

Glad to see Trump target more and more Dims other than the 20 something bar fly waitress or the Mogadishu Somali now running the Congressïonal House of Reprehensables.

Communication In Disguise Of A Romantic Relationship. She told Byrne “we will communicate in disguise of a romantic relationship, I wish to make arrangements with you for this to happen.”
[FREEBEACON] After introducing a bill that contained provisions geared towards tackling dark money in politics, House Democrats have a new dark money group in their corner.
House Majority Forward, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit that will not have to disclose its donors, was established in March. It marks its charitable purpose in North Carolina filings as promoting "economic growth and opportunity, environmental stewardship, and democracy in the United States of America." The group plans to raise at least $20 million throughout 2019 to back Democrats and attack Republicans, and will begin airing the first of its digital and TV ads this week as part of a larger $10 million advertising blitz for the year, Politico reports.
The new ad highlights bills being "blocked" by Republicans in Congress, bills to reduce drug costs, expand gun control, provide a path to citizenship for some illegal immigrants colonists, and‐despite House Majority Forward being itself a dark money nonprofit‐HR 1, or the For the People Act. Introduced by House Democrats in January, HR 1 contained a provision for the disclosure of major donors who give to 501(c)(4) nonprofits.
House Majority Forward will share staff with the House Majority PAC, a committee linked to House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. [REALCLEARPOLITICS] Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper revealed in an interview last week that if not for President Obama asking for an intelligence community assessment that "set off a whole sequence of events" we would not have the Mueller investigation. Clapper, a CNN contributor, said the effects of that intel assessment "are still unfolding today."
"One point I'd like to make, Anderson, that I don't think has come up very much before, and I'm alluding now to the President's criticism of President Obama for all that he did or didn't do before he left office with respect to the Russian meddling. If it weren't for President Obama, we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set off a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today, notably, special counsel Mueller's investigation," Clapper said Wednesday on CNN. An illegal FISA warrant and intelligence collection against US Persons (USP) is now being cloaked as an Obama directed "Intelligence Assessment."

You know Anderson, Befehl ist Befehl ("an order is an order"). We were simply following presidential orders.
[BREITBART] During a Friday appearance on Morning Joe, MSNBC host Donny Deutsch promised the world, “We’re not going to necessarily play fair” to put President Trump “in jail.”
“We may not have won the battle of impeachment,” Deutsch squealed, “but we’re going to win the war of putting him in jail — whatever we have to do, and we’re not going to necessarily play fair.”
So what you have here is an anchor for a major cable news outlet assuring everyone that when it comes to putting an individual in prison, “we’re not going to … play fair.”
This is how far gone the media now are… So angry, so bitter, so demoralized, such a sorry gang of sore losers that they are now promising to put a man in prison, a sitting president, a family man — and, if necessary, rig the proceedings to make it happen.
Even when the media were at their previous worst, which was during the George W. Bush era, never could I have imagined a day when an NBC News anchor would admit on television that his professional goal is to put a political opponent in prison, even if that means cheating and lying and gaming the system to make it happen.
The other interesting part of all this NBCrazy is what has so unraveled the far-left news outlet, what has driven it to finally expose the fascist mask, and that is the death of the impeachment fever dream, a death caused by special counsel Robert Mueller’s disastrous performance Thursday.

Crossing the Rubicon...
I do think there's a very real likelihood of organized political violence in this country during the next 18 months.
Most likely from left-wing splinter groups, and likely to be fanned into flames by hysterical rhetoric and rumor-mongering by twitter-twits, bloggers and cable numbskulls like this joker.

MSNBC Fail: In April 2013, Deutsch's prime-time CNN talk show (Get to) The Point was cancelled after just one week after the Nielsen Company said the show attracted just 268,000 viewers. The show was also mocked by comedian Jon Stewart on his Comedy Central show.[10] In 2015, the USA Network announced a new television show with Deutsch that premiered in November called simply Donny!, a comedy with Deutsch playing a fictional version of himself.[11] In August, 2016 USA announced the series would not be renewed for a second season.[12]

In May 2019, it was announced Deutsch would be hosting his own show, Saturday Night Politics with Donny Deutsch on MSNBC filling the network's vacant 8 PM time-slot on Saturdays. The show began airing on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and received sluggish viewership during the first few weeks. In the first eight weeks on the air, Deutsch's Saturday Night Politics averaged just 74,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic bracket.[16][17]

They haven't played fair in decades. It also explains why their viewership is in such a steep decline.

Stopping the daily briefings, conducting ad hoc, impromptu press access while en route to somewhere so he can set the end period on the basis of departure, and using twitter and press opportunities to make the Democrat/Progressive/Socialist representatives defend their lunatic policy prescriptions and claims of injustice become the entire face of their party. When Nancy Palsi comes out to brief, she looks like the death=warmedover hack she is, and the Squad is just a gift from Heaven...Trump has mastered the press manipulation process and repeatedly gets inside their primary OODA loop.

When one decides not to play fair, i.e., not following the laws, then it is open season for everybody. Shooting off his mouth like this makes him a potential target, but he seems to stupid to see consequences of his utterances.

The Daily Press Briefing allowed Democratic operatives, such as Acosta, to push the Message du Jour™ by orchestrating a barrage of slanted, misleading questions. The WH Spokesman had to sit there like a stationary wounded animal and if they reacted they were The Bad Guy™.
[DAILYCALLER] President Donald Trump is not a fan of Baltimore, or the Democratic lawmaker that represents much of the city in Congress.
In a series of tweets on Saturday, the Republican described the Maryland metropolis as a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” that is “a very dangerous & filthy place.”
Trump went on the diatribe during an attack on Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings over the Democrat’s comments at a House hearing earlier this month with border patrol officials.

Usually a result of pursing a political strategy of attracting votes rather than sustainable resources (labor and industry) for a tax base. Rewarding those who do not contribute (non-productivity) and punishing those who do (productivity) has been a fundamental that one party has pursued for generations.
