[Townhall] Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who operates independently from Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Trump administration, announced Wednesday afternoon he will launch an investigation into alleged FISA abuse during the Obama administration.
"Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz announced today that, in response to requests from the Attorney General and Members of Congress, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person," the DOJ Office of the Inspector General released in a statement Wednesday. "As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source. Additionally, the OIG will review the DOJ’s and FBI’s relationship and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications."
"If circumstances warrant, the OIG will consider including other issues that may arise during the course of the review," the statement continues.
[American Thinker] Apparently, asking people in the U.S. whether they are citizens of the U.S. or not, in the decennial census, is presenting a big crisis for Democrats.
According to left-leaning Mike Allen's top ten morning stories, citing a New York Times article:
Fear? Is Allen really hearing that they have fear? Not just consider it important, but consider it an existential threat to their power?
Apparently, so. The argument goes that illegals won't answer the census out of fear that their immigration status will be found out and then not be counted in the census. If a lot of them refuse, then Democrats could lose seats in Congress. It says a lot about the base of the Democratic Party that non-citizens are that important to them, the very basis of why they are in office at all. Talk about foreign influence in the U.S. elections. What kind of party seeks to exert immense power over the lives of citizens through leftwing policies, yet doesn't even have a citizen base to back their power?

The US Census (IIRC) has asked residents to say whether or not they were citizens in ALL the censuses up through & including 1950. For the bulk of the history of the USA, this was the standard. This article on the issue by NPR is "inaccurate, incomplete and misleading" to quote their own words against them.
[Breitbart] The investigative blockbuster book Secret Empires by Government Accountability Institute President and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer will debut at #1 on the New York Times combined print and e-book best-seller list, according to publishing industry sources.
Secret Empires, which is Schweizer’s fifth New York Times bestselling book, has caused a stir throughout official Washington with its newly unearthed revelations, including:
The author’s past investigative books have led to federal investigations, congressional resignations, or the launch of Capitol Hill ethics probes.

There ought to be a package deal on "Clinton Cash" and "Secret Empires." I look for HRC to make a statement about the debunked and discredited books soon if she is not dealing with legal issues.

A federal judge has denied Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s request for a protective order for materials gathered during discovery for the upcoming trial of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in Alexandria, Virginia.
In a two-page order entered Wednesday morning, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III said Mueller’s request was "insufficiently specific in describing the information to be subject to the requested protective order, which is, in the circumstances, excessively broad."
"To be sure, there may be good reason to apply a protective order to certain specific information in this case, but that information has not been adequately identified or described," Ellis wrote. "Instead, the protective order simply refers vaguely to ’other confidential materials’ that need to be shielded from disclosure."
Dismissing Mueller’s request as "anemic," Ellis went on to say the "current proposed protective order throws an unnecessarily broad cloak of secrecy over documents and information to be disclosed in discovery. And this is so especially given that the indictment in this case charges defendant with engaging in conspiracies that begin as long ago as 2005 and ended in 2014."

Ah yes, accused anthrax host Steve Hatfill, like former Ruby Ridge resident Randy Weaver, both multi-millionaires following FBI cock-ups and generous US Gov't settlements. Mueller spotted the apartheid gov't supporting Hatfill straight away. Who needs microbiologist anyway.
Hatfill was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Mattoon Senior High School, Mattoon, Illinois (1971), and Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas (1975), where he studied biology.
Hatfill was enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1977.[11] (In 1999, he would tell a journalist during an interview that he had been a "captain in the U.S. Special Forces", but in a subsequent investigation the Army stated that he had never served with the Special Forces.[12]) Following his Army discharge, Hatfill qualified and worked as a medical laboratory technician, but soon resolved to become a doctor.
Hatfill then settled in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) entering the Godfrey Huggins Medical School[13] in Salisbury (now Harare) in 1978. (His claimed military associations during this period included assistance as a medic with the Selous Scouts and membership in the Rhodesian SAS, but according to one journalist[14] the regimental association of the latter is "adamant Hatfill never belonged to the unit".) He graduated (after failing in 1983) with a M ChB degree in 1984 and then completed a one-year internship (1984–85) at a small rural hospital in South Africa’s North West Province. Wiki

Mueller's anemia may be passing the buck, allowing others to maintain the facade, absolving himself all while following Deep State orders. Part of the cabal, he cannot quit or disobey or he will be neutralized. Russian Blog connects some dots:
To most fully understand these “Deep State” machinations of today, this report explains, one must first go back to 5 June 1996 when the Khobar Towers Bombing attack occurred in Saudi Arabia—that was entirely a fundamentalist-Sunni operation, specifically perpetrated by Al Qaeda, which hates Shia and which also hates America’s military presence in the Middle East, and that its leader, Osama bin Laden stated his Al Qaeda had carried out—but whose Clinton regime era investigation of, led by US intelligence officials Robert Muller and James Comey, absurdly concluded Iran was responsible for.
The reason then FBI Director Robert Mueller targeted Steven Hatfill in the first place, this report reveals, was his knowing that he couldn’t blame the anthrax attacks on Al Qaeda as “Deep State” operatives within the Bush regime had ordered him to do, as it would then have to be explained how this Saudi-based terror group was able to get its hands on US military produced and weaponized anthrax spores—and with Hatfill now “out of the equation”, then saw Mueller turn his sights on senior US Army biodefense researcher Bruce Ivins.
Unlike Steven Hatfill, though, this report explains, Bruce Ivins, on 29 July 2008, was suicided—with Mueller, a week later, declaring that Ivins “was the sole culprit” of the 2001 anthrax attacks and closing the case forever—but that the National Academy of Sciences, in their 2011 report titled “Review of the Scientific Approaches Used During the FBI's Investigation of the 2001 Anthrax Letters”, called, in essence, absurd.
The Kremlin even blames Deep State, observing:
In the United States, Robert Mueller is leading the “Deep State” coup against President Trump—In Russia he would be in jail for the many crimes he’s committed.

The alleged conspiracy took place before Trump announced his candidacy. What would be the need for a governmental cloak of secrecy unless there might have been some investigative hi-jinks. Usually, discovery information obtained through depositions are public documents.

When the cone of silence is lowered, everyone has cause for concern.
No, but the media will cover it, with a pillow, until it's dead.
