[Daily Caller] Hurricane Harvey has inadvertently provided Congress with an opportunity to raise the debt ceiling, Axios reports.
Republican leadership in the House is reportedly planning to pass a "clean" bill that would provide $7.85 billion for emergency relief efforts, which would satisfy both the president’s demands for funding and for a bill that has no extraneous measures attached. Once the bill makes its way to the Senate, leadership is planning to attach a debtlimit increase before sending it back to the House.
The administration announced in late August that it wants lawmakers to pass a "clean" debt ceiling increase, meaning a piece of legislation that raises the debt limit with no additional measures attached.
Leadership faces a few major tests in the coming weeks, and raising the debt limit is only one. Republicans in Congress must also figure out a way to keep the government funded past Sept. 30 and are angling to push a tax reform bill through both chambers and onto the president’s desk by December.

It's the "Secret" they always do. A successful ponzi scheme demands it:
Depending on who is doing the research, it is said that the US has raised its debt ceiling (in some form or other) at least 90 times in the 20th century.[11]
The debt ceiling has been raised 74 times since March 1962,[12] including 18 times under Ronald Reagan, eight times under Bill Clinton, seven times under George W. Bush, and five times under Barack Obama. In practice, the debt ceiling has never been reduced, even though the public debt itself may have reduced.
Congress has raised the debt ceiling 14 times from 2001-2013. The debt ceiling was raised a total of 7 times (total increase of $5365bil) during Pres. Bush's eight-year term and it has been raised 7 times (as of 10/2013 a total increase of $5385bil) under Pres. Obama's term as of 2013 (five years in office). Wiki link

"The administration announced in late August that it wants lawmakers to pass a "clean" debt ceiling increase..."
When asked about the debt ceiling increase Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said on Sunday "The president and I believe that it should be tied to the Harvey funding"
Funny how this article gives the opposite impression ain't it?

Now there's the basis for term limits, not in years, but if you raise the debt ceiling you can not run for or be appointed to an office for 10 years. Wonder how long the game would go on? Wonder what creative bookkeeping would emerge?

If they hadn't already raised the debt ceiling to support their corruption and vote for me schemes I would think the Hurricane would be the type of reason you might raise it once. As is, NO. Better for the Feds to lone money to Texas (one of the few states that could pay it back) or have a sell-off of Federal property in and around Texas to pay for any funds given by the Federal government to Texas.
[DAILYCALLER] New Hampshire’s Democratic Party chair referred to rural, disaffected voters as "white supremacists" and "extremists" on Sunday.
WMUR9 told its viewers that Look Ahead America, an organization that reaches out to "disaffected, patriotic Americans" may be headed to New Hampshire next.
"New Hampshire’s going to be, probably, the state we advance to next," Matt Braynard, the executive director said. "We’ve identified maybe 15,000 inactive voters who we would consider disaffected, patriotic Americans. And potentially 100,000 or more unregistered adults we’re going to reach out to."
"We’re applying to identify patriotic Americans who’ve become disaffected and cynical, so we can engage them on issues relevant to them, get them registered, get them educated and turn them out to vote," Braynard explained.
New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley doesn’t seem thrilled with the development, however, claiming that the disaffected voters Look Ahead will be working with are "extremists" and "white supremacists."
"The organizing and activating of these Death Eaters, these white supremacists, really could have a detrimental effect on the entire culture of New Hampshire," Buckley said.
Buckley doubled down on calling these Americans "white supremacists" in a tweet on Sunday night, slamming the Koch Brothers and former Governor John Sununu for bringing Look Ahead to New Hampshire. Yes, those pushed into sweltering, dependent urban America can be always counted upon. The rest are racists.

In New Hampshire, that's anyone that doesn't live in Manchester, Nashua, Concord or Portsmouth. I take it they don't listen to themselves before making these statements; tone deaf is an understatement.

Extremist white supremacists clinging to their guns and Bibles.
Non- Clinton material obviously and not Democratic Party victimized focus group or PC prone ? Sanders rejectors ?
And they F@$%* their dog.
Some of them may be Police Officers and even Vets. They should all be arrested and put in the Reform through Labor Camps. New Hampshire needs to be a haven for queers, Democrats and the Transgendered. Oh, and baritone women in large hats with a "Cause" to pursue.

Says the guy who voted in the last three elections for a presidential candidate who called gun owners, Christians, and believers in limited government, intact national borders, and free enterprise untermensch.
Get back to me when you work out that hypocrisy problem, boy.
