Several CIA contractors were kicked out of the agency for stealing more than $3,000 in snacks from vending machines....
Hundreds more successfully evaded the surveillance measures, passed the block of instruction, and graduated. If one cannot steal snacks without getting caught, what can the future possibly hold in that line of work ?
As Twitchy reported in March, prosecutors in California charged David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress with 15 felony counts related to their undercover videotaping that exposed the gruesome methods Planned Parenthood used to preserve organs from aborted babies, as well as some haggling over the prices of those baby parts.
On Wednesday, LifeNews reported that the San Francisco Superior Court had dismissed 14 of the 15 felony charges.

The San Francisco Superior Court on Wednesday dismissed 14 of 15 criminal counts but the pair are still charged with one count of conspiracy to invade privacy. However the court dismissed the charges with leave to amend — meaning [California Attorney General Xavier] Becerra could re-file the charges with additional supposed evidence against the pair.
The court ruled that counts 1-14 were legally insufficient. The state has the opportunity to amend if it can plead a more legally sufficient and specific complaint. San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Christopher Hite gave the state attorney general’s office until mid-July to file a revised complaint.
Today’s decision by the San Francisco Superior Court seems to lend additional credence to the fact that abortion advocates and their pro-abortion friends in politics are filing the charges for political rather than substantive reasons.

Thereby prolonging the process and running up the legal bills.

[Garowe Online] Students hailing from Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... studying in Pakistain are complaining about mistreatment by the Somali Ambassador to Islamabad Khadija Mohammed Al makhzoumi, Garowe Online reports.
Some of the students, who spoke to Radio Garowe over the phone, said they are being mistreated and subjected to horrifying abuses, including unlawful arrests, intimidation and unkind discrimination.
Abdikarim Hussein Mohammed, one of the students said during an interview with RG that they are facing difficult situation and major challenges in Pakistain, that need to be addressed very soon.
Mohammed who is in Islamabad, has pointed out the Somali students in general have a problem with an increase of Visa fees and delays, and those hailing from Puntland endure a separate inequity in special.
He added that they went to the embassy several times to meet ambassador Al makhzoumi over their complaints, but the result became the arrest of their representative for raising the issue.
They lodged a complaint to the government of Pakistain, however, it decline to intervene in the situation, and noticed the students to ask the Federal government of Somalia to solve their problems.

[Iran Press TV] Queen Elizabeth II has presented Prime Minister Theresa May’s policies to the new Parliament, at a tumultuous time for Britannia and as May’s future in power remain uncertain.
The queen took to Westminster on Wednesday to read out a list of the government's intentions for the politicians on their first day in office, following the June 8 snap general election that saw May’s Conservative Party lose its narrow majority.
The legislative program that the monarch laid out on behalf of May was a pared-down version of her party manifesto for the election and dropped some key promises to instead focus on Britannia’s exit from the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... (EU).
"My government’s priority is to secure the best possible deal as the country leaves the European Union," said Elizabeth II. "My ministers are committed to working with Parliament, the devolved administrations, business and others to build the widest possible consensus on the country’s future outside the European Union."
Eight of the 27 bills that were included in the agenda revolved around Brexit, while the rest were focused on other issues such as the recent wave of terror attacks that hit Britannia as well as the deadly apartment block fire in Grenfell Tower last week.
Absent on the list, however, were May’s manifesto pledges to tax the elderly more heavily for their own care and slash free lunches for schoolchildren, the very unpopular policies that were blamed for May’s uninspiring election performance.

[Free Beacon] China proposed halting U.S. military exercises with South Korea as part of a nuclear deal with North Korea during high-level talks at the State Department on Wednesday, according to U.S. officials.
The Chinese raised what Beijing calls "dual suspension" of U.S.-South Korean war games and North Korean nuclear and long-range missile tests at the first meeting of the administration's Diplomatic and Security Dialogue, said two officials.
The American side rejected the idea of canceling U.S. military exercises as a tactic tried in the past that was unsuccessful in convincing the North Koreans to give up their nuclear arms programs.
The talks came a day after President Trump cast a shadow over U.S.-China ties by suggesting China had failed to rein in North Korea, a fraternal communist state that maintains close military relations with Beijing.
"While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out," Trump tweeted. "At least I know China tried!"
In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang defended China's efforts to resolve the North Korean nuclear and missile challenge. Geng asserted the problem in dealing with North Korea's nuclear and missile threats does not "lie with the Chinese side," he said.

I always thought Pyongyang was having its strings pulled by Moscow not Beijing
If China implemented sanctions against NK, the government would collapse overnight. It's not a fear of refugees that prevents China from reining in Kim. China could mine its borders and shoot anyone approaching them. What's more likely is that North Korea is China's pit bull - a bargaining chip to get Uncle Sam to leave the region, thereby letting China reassemble its fleet of vassal states from days of yore. Just about every country in East Asia used to be a Chinese vassal state, which can be thought of as training wheels for full provincial status (i.e. when Chinese troops entered to provide the benefits of Chinese civilization to the natives).
[Merics.org] At a time when the United States retreats from its global leadership responsibilities and China tries to assert itself as a global leader, changes to the political agenda of China’s governing party and its top leadership are of increasing importance to the rest of the world. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) convenes its 19th Party Congress in late October or November this year, the 2,300 delegates will discuss and endorse the Party’s strategic goals for the next five years and elect a new central committee. The day after the congress concludes, the newly elected committee will appoint the top leadership team tasked with implementing those goals. The Party Congress will also give the first authoritative indication on future CCP leadership constellations beyond 2022. If the rule-based, institutionalized processes of leadership successions initiated by Deng Xiaoping are upheld, we can expect Xi Jinping’s heir presumptive to be appointed to the Politburo Standing Committee.
The Party Congress is formally the highest decision-making organ of the CCP. Congresses are carefully choreographed affairs intended to rally party members around a political platform drafted under the supervision of the general secretary of the CCP. Simultaneously, the congress provides the stage to present this platform in the best possible way to the national public. Ahead of the congresses, there is little to no official reporting, but after their conclusion, party-state media present the roadmap leading up to the major event in the party's five-year political cycle. Since the preparatory process for this key event has been increasingly institutionalized since the 1990s, we have an indication of the major steps in between and their timing. Based on the assumption that there will be no major deviation from established practice, we present the milestones leading up to the 19th Party Congress in this graphic.

After a 14 year ban vy China and as a result of high level meetings at the Whitehouse, China yesterday opened its massive consumer market to US beef imports. This is a major milestone of President Trumps Energize Rural America Initiative.

I remember several statements Obama made saying the PRC's constitution is superior to America's.
If you look at the chart, the process is highly centralized. The delegates select candidates and topics, but the Central Committee makes all the decisions.
People's Republic my derriere.

[Iran Press TV] Romania's government fell Wednesday after the ruling party took the unusual step of passing a no-confidence vote in its own prime minister following internal power struggles.
The left-wing Social Democrat party (PSD) filed the motion against premier Sorin Grindeanu barely six months after winning an election.
The PSD unexpectedly withdrew its support for Grindeanu on June 14, accusing him of "delays" in implementing reforms in the European Union's second-poorest country.
Grindeanu however refused to resign and denounced powerful PSD boss Liviu Dragnea for seeking to "concentrate all the power in his hands".

[Washington Examiner] A new proposal by an anti-Trump Democrat on the Federal Election Commission would expand the federal government's probe into alleged Russian influence to foreign companies and internet sites that take political ads, like Facebook or the Drudge Report, while giving the FEC an unprecedented role that some say oversteps its authority.
Democratic Commissioner Ellen Weintraub, citing petitions from leftist groups demanding a wider investigation, on Thursday plans to push for commission support for her idea.
"This is an all-hands-on-deck moment for our democracy," she wrote in a hasty bid to get the commission to consider it at their Thursday meeting.
"The mere allegation that foreign interference may have occurred shakes the faith of Americans in our democracy. The FEC must find out the facts of what happened during the 2016 U.S. presidential election and move swiftly and firmly to fix any problems we find. Only then can we begin to restore the American people's resilient but battered faith that our federal elections belong to us -- and now some foreign power," she added.

Forget the impact of an 'unprecedented role' for the FEC, Weintraub's proposal is a grenade in the mess tent. No telling who could end up a casualty.

[DAWN] ISLAMABAD: Students of the Madressah Haqqania beat up Din News employees, broke their camera and also threw stones at their DSNG on Tuesday. Because it's the holy month of Ramadan, y'know...
Members of the team from Din News say the madressah management was involved in electricity theft and that they were beaten by the students because they were reporting on this.
The madressah management claims the journalists were drinking water during the day and that they were initially asked to stop and beaten when they continued to drink water.
A news hound of the channel, Ali Usman, told Dawn him and five other team members were assigned to interview Hussain Nawaz’ lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, on Tuesday.
"Mr Raja could not come from Lahore so we went to the lawyer’s house, which is near the madressah," he said.
He said one of the cameramen, Rashid Azeem, went into the madressah and poured water over his head to cool off. Some students asked him why he was drinking water and left when they were told Mr Azeem was pouring the water on his head.
"We saw that the madressah management was stealing electricity and one of the cameramen started recording," he said, adding that some students then started beating Mr Azeem, breaking two of his teeth and taking his camera.
The team continued filming on another camera while students threw stones at the DSNG and took away cash and valuables from the team, he said.
A source in the madressah told Dawn the team were drinking water in the madressah but were allowed in as they said they wanted to offer prayers.
He said the newsmen started filming later, saying the management was stealing electricity, which the source said was not true. He said the newsmen were told to stop and leave repeatedly and that students beat them up when they started misbehaving.
A police official said both sides were called and their statements were recorded.
An FIR has been registered against the madressah management with the Margalla police.

[DAWN] Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Aamer Farooq on Tuesday recorded the statement of a doctor in the Taiba case.
A doctor testified that 10-year-old domestic worker Taiba, who was allegedly tortured by an additional district and sessions judge (ADSJ) and his wife, was brought to a hospital severely and visibly injured.
The witness, a doctor who was on the panel that conducted a medical examination of the alleged victim, said an initial medical examination of the child was conducted and the child had injuries on her hand and face.
The other doctors on the panel could not appear before the court because one has retired and the other is attending a training course. Subsequently, the court issued them notices for July 4 directing them to ensure attendance.
The court had previously issued notices to the panel of doctors who examined the alleged victim.
Justice Farooq, while issuing a notice to the witnesses for June 20, has said that the court would continue the trial from the point where another IHC court had recused itself from hearing the case further.
ADSJ Raja Khurram and his wife Maheen Zafar have been charged with assaulting, confining, mistreating, neglecting, abandoning, harming and injuring the child maid.
The couple pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." after they were indicted and are currently standing trial.
In January, a member of the Pakistain Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) medical board had said it was possible that the child was a victim of torture and abuse.
"The minor received multiple burns and other injuries to her back, face, legs and abdomen," Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Javed Akram had said, adding: "However, some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves... it is for the police to decide whether these injuries were the result of torture or not."
Dr Akram was on the medical board constituted on Jan 6 to re-examine the child at the request of a district magistrate. An earlier medico-legal report from Pims had also confirmed the injuries sustained by the child.
However, some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves... the initial examination had ignored burns on the child’s back caused by an iron rod or ladle.
The child was allegedly employed by the suspects as a domestic worker, and they have been accused of keeping her in wrongful confinement, burning her hand, beating her with a ladle, detaining her in a storeroom and threatening her.

...Williams said Thursday morning that he has fled the state because of scores of death threats he has received.
"It was overwhelming for my family," Williams said. "I have to look out for family. I've got young kids." ...In a statement emailed Wednesday night, Williams said, "It is evident to anyone who carefully reads my posts on Facebook and Twitter that I did not call for the death of all self-identified 'whites.' I merely attached the hashtag to my post derived from a blog article ... This was an admittedly provocative move to get readers to pay attention to my reasoned, reasonable, and yes angry argument."

Cute... they've blocked or removed his page. Sociologist, very interested in racism. And now -- I'm as surprised as you are -- racism is very interested in him. Oh, look, way back down a dark tunnel of twenty-something years, there's my sympathetic face! As for fleeing the state... can you imagine? More royal progress than underground railroad.

[PJ] The Left always eats its own, but its embrace of totalitarian, violent tactics can make such developments anything but encouraging. For example, in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend four police officers were injured as Black Lives Matter interfered with a Pride parade:
Over the weekend, several Black Lives Matter protesters attempted to block a Pride parade in Columbus, Ohio. When police responded, they reportedly resisted arrest, and one suspect tried to disarm an officer, leaving several officers injured, the Columbus Division of Police said.
Four demonstrators now face charges ranging from disorderly conduct to aggravated robbery over Saturday’s confrontation.
Showing up for Justice Columbus, a group that organizes "white people to take action to fight white supremacy," wrote on Twitter that the demonstrators were "disrupting Pride" to protest Friday’s acquittal of the Minnesota police officer who shot and killed Philando Castile last year.
"Today myself and a group of other queer and trans PoC [People of Color] (and allies) staged a silent, peaceful protest in the middle of the pride parade to highlight the lack of support for queer POC trans folk within our community and the larger lgbtqia community," Stephanie Ewen, one of the Black Lives Matter protesters, said in a statement on Facebook.
So, that's two entirely different Leftist motives for a group with a third Leftist motive, attacking a parade with a fourth.
Some protesters disrupted a Pride parade because a black man was killed by an apparently incompetent Hispanic police officer in another state -- meaning there was literally no one involved with the Pride parade that did or could do anything about any of it. That's beyond ridiculous.
Some other protesters disrupted a Pride parade because they don't think minorities identifying as one of 47 genders or orientations aren't getting enough support from within a community that has drunk the intersectionalism Kool-Aid. This is what happens with intersectionalism. When identity is everything, the Oppression Olympics are going to happen. There can't ever be unity, because a black lesbian transgendered Muslim paraplegic with a lisp will arrive to claim everyone else is oppressive, and they can't really dismiss the argument.
