[Tolo News] Kabul's PDS4 Criminal Court on Sunday sentenced two policemen to 20 years in prison each and a civilian to 16 years in prison after they were found guilty on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault against a woman in central Kapisa province last year.
The court prosecutor said the accused were held in custody in Kapisa before being transferred to Kabul. The dossiers of the men were also transferred to Kabul at the request of the Attorney General's Office following a decision by the Supreme Court office in Kapisa.
The accused, Rishad, Zabihullah and Qudratullah, are all from Kapisa. They kidnapped and raped her in the Nijrab district.
Hamidullah Qaser, the prosecutor in the case said: "According to Rishad's confession, they first kidnapped the woman and put her in a vehicle. They then raped her inside the car. Then Zabih drove the car and took the woman to a house."
According to officials, Sunday's court hearing lasted over two hours. It is believed that the families of the accused were not present in court due to security reasons.
Qazi Abdul Rahman Hikmat, head of Kabul's PDS4 Criminal Court said: "You Rishad and you Zabihullah are sentenced to 15 years in prison for kidnaping and five years for raping the woman."
In addition, he sentenced Qudratullah to 16 years imprisonment for assisting in the crime.
Hikmat however granted the accused leave to appeal.
But the accused rejected their sentences and said they would not accept the court's decision.
"I don't accept this decision. How can I accept it when I have not done it," said Rishad, one of the accused.
Zabih said: "I am not aware of the incident, then why am I convicted with 20 years in prison."
Meanwhile, the third accused Qudratullah said: "I was there as a guest in their house, then why am I convicted with 16 years in prison?"
It is said that a resident of Kapisa who is accused of driving the car when the incident took place has fled and security forces are still searching for him.

Yeah, well, most of the felons in The Big House are 'innocent', too.
The thing is, by the time the police catch a criminal, he has probably committed dozens of crimes for every one he (or she) gets caught at.

[Dhaka Tribune] A four-year-old boy has been shot and injured in Comilla city after being caught in the middle of a shoot-out between two rival criminal gangs.
The victim named Hridoy, the son of a local rickshaw-van puller, was just an innocent bystander during the shoot-out, which took place less than a month after infighting between political rivals led to an unborn child being shot in her mother's womb in Magura.
Hridoy, the son of a rickshaw-puller, suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen and is currently receiving medical attention, said Dulal Chandra Sutradhar, ward master of the emergency department at Comilla Medical College Hospital. Another person named Hasib has been released by doctors after he was given primary treatment, Dulal added.
Dr Kazi Tahmina Farhana, a doctor at the hospital's surgery department, told the Dhaka Tribune that the child was out of danger.
A bullet grazed the skin of his abdomen, while an operation would be performed on him on Monday to treat the bullet wound on the left arm, she said.
Police and local sources said yesterday's shootout was the result of a long-running feud between small-time Mister Big gangs led by Nazim Hossain and Anwar Hossain respectively.
Nazim, who had just been released on bail five days ago, suspected Anwar for being behind his arrest last December. To take Dire Revenge, he and his cohorts attacked Anwar around 6am yesterday in the city's Shubhopur area.
As the clash intensified, around 10-12 rounds of bullet were fired. Hridoy, who was standing in front of his own house at the time, was caught in the exchange of gunfire, said the child's mother Mahfuza Begum.
Kotwali Model cop shoppe Officer-in-Charge Khorshed Alam said Hridoy's father Arif Miah has filed a case accusing Nazim and around five unnamed persons. Additional police have been deployed in the area to prevent further violence.
Meanwhile, ...back at the palazzo, Count Guido stepped from behind the suit of armor, rapier in hand. Ciccolini snarled and reached for his own weapon... Comilla's Superintendent of Police Md Shah Abid Hossain said he visited Hridoy in the hospital and gave Tk5,000 for his treatment. All medical expenses of the child would be provided by the police, the SP said, adding that efforts were on to apprehend the culprits.

The state of anxiety between Russian backed rebel forces and Ukrainian forces intensified Sunday night as artillery strikes were exchanged in southern and western Donetsk, according to Russian language news accounts.
Rebel artillery reportedly hit the village of Sartana, which lies between Shirokino and Mariupol late Sunday night, killing two unidentified civilians and wounding an undisclosed number of others.
According to a news account published in korrespondent.net, rebel artillery struck the town of Sartana at around 2330 hrs, hitting near the intersection of ulitsas Gromov and Zaozernaya. The two dead were said to be a man in his 70s and a young woman in her 20s. At 0040 hrs, an unidentified 37 year old man and a 10 year old girl were admitted to a Mariupol hospital with shrapnel wounds.
Rebel artillery reportedly hit two sectors in Mariupol, in the village of Lebedinskoye and in the Primorsky district earlier Sunday evening, according to a separate korrespondent.net report. The same report said artillery flashes were seen emanating from a location north of Shirokino. Those artillery hits temporarily knocked out power and television broadcasts in Mariupol. A Ukrainian spokesman identified as Yaroslav Chepurnoy said that the rebels used 122mm artillery. Chepurnoy also said a total of three died in that artillery strike.
Sartana is about three kilometers east of Mariupol.
Ukrainian media also said that rebel artillery hit Ukrainian positions at Talakovke and Starognatovke, near Mariupol.
During the day Sunday, Donetsk defense ministry officials said that Ukrainian artillery hit rebel positions in Sahanka, which is near Sartana, and at Kominternovo.
On Sunday rebel media said that Ukrainian artillery including 122mm rocket artillery struck rebel positions at Telmanovo, with 40 rounds in all hitting and damaging three buildings. Nearby Novolaspa was also hit with Ukrainian artillery, which reportedly originated from Novoselovka. Rebel media said one unidentified civilian was killed in the artillery strike on Telmanovo.
Ukrainian media said that artillery and direct fire engagements have taken place at Marinka near western Donetsk city during the day on Sunday, including mortars, small arms fire and grenade launchers. Positions hit by the rebels include a Ukrainian checkpoint and at Aleksandrovka.
Ukrainian media said that on Sunday, rebel artillery once again hit Avdievka and Opytnoye in western Donetsk city using 120mm mortar, 122mm artillery and 152mm artillery. Those artillery strikes were said to have originated from Peski and Krasnogorovka.
Rebel media said that Ukrainian artillery struck at several points in Donetsk city including at Petrovsky, Kuibyshevsky, Kirovsky districts, the Donetsk airport and at Spartak. A late rebel report said that Ukrainian artillery hit the Leninsky district of Donetsk city.
Gorlovka was shelled Sunday as well. According to rebel media Ukrainian forces used tanks and artillery fire, all originating from Dzherzinsk.

[Wash Examiner] Donald Trump plans to undo President Obama's executive orders on immigration, get rid of birthright citizenship, and deport all undocumented immigrants if he is elected president, he said Sunday.
Birthright citizenship "remains the biggest magnet for illegal immigration," Trump said in his 6-page immigration policy report titled "Immigration Reform That Will Make America Great Again."
Speaking to NBC's Chuck Todd aboard his gilded private plane on "Meet the Press" Sunday, Trump said of the current illegal immigrants in the country, "We're going to keep the families together, but they have to go."
When Todd questioned where they would go if they have nowhere to return to, Trump repeated, "We will work with them. They have to go. Chuck, we either have a country, or we don't have a country."

Will require a constitutional amendment (to the 14th) or appointing another 9 judges to the Supreme Court to 'reinterpret' what the text actually says (a popular method of the progressives).
If you ever get a republic back, I'd recommend the new Constitution have as Article I 'The Citizens' and be very specific who and who is not a citizen with full rights, along with severe penalties to anyone in position of authority who seeks to curtail those rights.

I'm presuming that "The Donald's" paln also applies to illegal Canadians + Greenlanders, etal. as the "American Dream" of the 20th Century is now the OWG Globalist "North American/Amerikan Dream" of the 21st, ala OWG NAU + TPP + TAP, etc.
WE ARE ALL "CONTINENTALISTS" + "REGIONALISTS",
"TRANS-????" NOW.
* Lest we fergit, VPOTUS BIDEN GLIB = "D *** NG IT, CHINA IS A NORTH AMERICAN COUNTRY"!
More serious was Odierno's warning that "only 33 percent" of the U.S. Army's brigades are sufficiently trained to confront Russia. That's far short of the 60 percent needed. Odierno said that he does not believe the Army will reach those levels for several more years.

War with Russia should be high on the list of the Pentagons concerns - right after 1) Global Warming, 2) Muslim Outreach and 3) All the Other Shit Going on in the World.
[DAWN] KASUR: Despite establishment of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the Hussain Khanwala scandal and removal of four coppers, the affected people have threatened that they will go for a long march, if the SP investigation is not transferred.
The villagers and their supporters including Mobeen Ghaznavi and Advocate Latif Sara on Saturday held a presser at the Kasur Rest House, where the JIT is holding an inquiry and recording the statements of victims and witnesses.
Instead of sympathising and dispensing justice, they alleged, police were raiding the houses of the affected people and their relatives and asking them to withdraw their cases. They said SP Investigation Nadeem Abbas was protecting the accused and harassing the victims. They demanded that SP Abbas should be suspended till Monday otherwise they would march on Islamabad and reject the JIT.
More than two dozen people got their statements recorded with the JIT which provided shuttle service to facilitate the villagers. The JIT also sent 45 video clips to the forensic lab for verification.
On Saturday, 10 of the victims got their medical certificates from the DHQ hospital. The Ganda Singh police registered 10 cases earlier on Thursday and claimed to have locked away Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! 18 accused including a lawyer.
A few days earlier, delay in giving findings of the first seven FIRs in a JIT headed by the SP investigation (established by the RPO on July 7) prompted the villagers to take to the street. Several police officials including two DSPs and some of the protesters were maimed in a clash.
During the visit of IG Mushtaq Sukhaira, the villagers had demanded the removal of the DPO and the SP investigation.
RPO: Regional Police Officer Shahzad Sultan also held a presser at the DPO Office later in the day, saying he had recommended inclusion of a cyber crime expert in the JIT to technically support the case of the victims. He said the inquiry was under way regarding the corruption of certain police officials in the child abuse case and those found guilty would be punished.
The RPO denied any victim was being pressured to withdraw or reconcile. He said the cases had been registered on all the applications received so far.

[KTLA-5] Trump also explained how he would force the Mexican government to bankroll a wall along the southern border.
If Mexico refuses to pay for the wall, a Trump administration would begin charging additional fees to Mexicans who come into the U.S. on visas or with border crossing cars -- particularly for visas to "Mexican CEOs and diplomats," which Trump would cancel "if necessary." Trump's plan also calls for possible tariffs and foreign aid cuts and would seize "all remittance payments derived from illegal wages." Visit any grocery store in Herndon, VA or other demographically similar community. You'll see lines of folks lined up at Western Union, sending USD south. How about capturing or even prohibiting some of those dollars ?
"The Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners. They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up," Trump wrote. "We will not be taken advantage of anymore."
