[AnNahar] Taliban holy warriors killed at least 20 people in a series of gun and suicide kabooms in Afghanistan on Saturday, underlining worsening security as U.S.-led NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all.... forces end their combat mission in the country.
A suicide kaboom wrecked an Afghan military bus in Kabul, killing seven soldiers, while a senior court official was assassinated in the city and 12 Afghan mine clearance workers were bumped off in the south.

Afghanistan endured yet another day of bloodshed on Saturday as three separate attacks resulted in the deaths of 19 people, among them a senior official at the Supreme Court, and a dozen people working to clear landmines.
The attacks came a day after two American soldiers died when a suicide bomber attacked their convoy near Bagram Airbase. Their deaths took to 65 the total number of international troops to die in Afghanistan this year, 50 of them Americans.
In one of the attacks on Saturday, six Afghan soldiers died when a suicide bomber attacked a bus taking them home.
Hours earlier, Atiqullah Rawoofi, the head of the Supreme Court's secretariat in Kabul's northwestern suburbs, was walking from his home to his car on his way to work when he was shot dead by militants.
And in the south of the country, a dozen workers clearing mines were killed when the Taliban stormed their site between Nad Ali and Washir districts. Afghanistan is one of the most heavily mined countries in the world. The non-profit Halo Trust estimates some 640,000 mines have been laid there since 1979 and at least 20,500 people have been killed and wounded by such ordinance since.
Mr Ghani condemned the attack on the mine-clearing personnel; an unusual step, given that he rarely makes public comments about violence, and prefers instead to visit bereaved families. The president said the attack on those working to clear mines was inhuman and un-Islamic.
"It's the work of the enemies of Afghanistan," he said in a statement.

Forces loyal to Libya's recognised government conducted air strikes on targets on Saturday near the eastern oil ports of Ras Lanuf and Es-Sider to stop an advance by a rival force towards the facilities, officials said. The oil ports accounting for more than 300,000 barrels a day of exports, were working normally, an oil official said.
Saqer Al Joroushi, an air force commander allied to Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thinni, said his aircraft had attacked positions near Sirte, a costal city in central Libya. He said a rival force from Misrata, a coastal city west of Sirte and the ports, had advanced towards the terminals with a large number of vehicles. "We bombed them to stop them from entering the ports," he said.
Tripoli-based Al Nabaa television said a force it said had been mandated by the General National Congress (GNC), a rival assembly based in Tripoli since a group called Libya Dawn seized the capital in August, had started an operation to take the ports. It quoted the head of the force, adding that two people had been killed in clashes near Es-Sider port. Websites close to Libya Dawn also said such an operation had started.
Thinni has been forced to work out of the east since Libya Dawn seized the capital Tripoli after a one-month battle, setting up its own cabinet and reinstating the previous assembly, the GNC.
The House of Representatives, elected in June, is also working out of the east.
Both governments have sought to control the oil facilities, the country's only source of income. Last month, Libya Dawn took over the southern El Sharara oilfield, one of the country's biggest, after a rival force from Zintan allied to Thinni had withdrawn.
Thinni said last week his government were trying to control the oil revenues by setting up a payment system outside the central bank in Tripoli.

[AnNahar] Yemeni troops on Saturday rubbed out five Al-Qaeda suspects disguised as women who fired at a soldier during a checkpoint inspection of their Saudi-bound bus, officials said.
Another suspect was maimed along with the driver in the shooting in Harad, a town 15 kilometers (nine miles) from the Saudi border, the officials said, adding two of those killed were Saudis.
"As one of the soldiers climbed on board the bus for an inspection, one of the suspects opened fire and maimed him, prompting shooting from other soldiers at the checkpoint," said a government official who gave the casualty toll.
All six had been dressed in black robes and wore the niqab, a face-covering veil commonly worn by women in Yemen, the official in Harad told AFP.
A suicide belt and arms were also found on board the bus, and the maimed suspect and driver were being questioned, said the security official.
"The men are suspected of affiliation with Al-Qaeda and were heading north towards Yemen's border with Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... ," he told AFP.
Security forces in Yemen rarely carry out inspections of vehicles carrying women in the conservative, deeply-tribal Moslem country.
In July, six Saudi Al-Qaeda suspects attacked a post on the border with Yemen, killing five security officers.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula ...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000... took advantage of a collapse of central authority in the wake of the 2011 uprising to seize swathes of southern and eastern Yemen.
The United States considers AQAP to be the global jihadist network's most dangerous affiliate.
Saudi Arabia, which launched a huge crackdown on Al-Qaeda following a spate of deadly attacks in 2003-2006, is building a three-meter (10-foot) high fence along its southern frontier with Yemen to counter illegal crossings and arms smuggling.
Yemen has been wracked by violence since a Shiite militia known as the Huthis seized control of the capital in September.
The snuffies have clashed with local Sunni tribes and Al-Qaeda gunnies as they seek to expand their territory.
Several Huthi snuffies were killed and 10 rustics were maimed in fighting on Friday in Arhab, 35 kilometers (20 miles) from the capital Sanaa, according to sources on both sides.
Arhab is close to Sanaa International Airport and is a stronghold of the Sunni Islamist Al-Islah (reform) Party.

[Jpost] According to Bloomberg, the February attack caused an estimated $40 million in damages to the Las Vegas Sands Corp.
While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to rule out a military strike against Iran, it appears that the Islamic Theocratic Republic's cyber warriors launched a preemptive strike of their own against one of the premier's stalwart allies.
Iranian hackers unleashed a withering cyber attack on the Las Vegas Sands Corp, the world’s largest operator of casinos and a property of the avowedly pro-Israel billionaire and Netanyahu backer Sheldon Adelson, earlier this year, according to a report by Bloomberg News.
The attack cost the company some $40 million in damages due to the technological meltdown that resulted in loss of key data, according to the report.
According to the report, the attack was launched on February 10 of this year.
"Sands was under a withering cyber attack," Bloomberg News reported. "PCs and servers were shutting down in a cascading IT catastrophe, with many of their hard drives wiped clean. The company’s technical staff had never seen anything like it."
Casino officials said that the goal of the attack was not to perpetrate a heist. Instead, “it was personal.”
Adelson has in the past made statements advocating for a hawkish Israeli and American policy toward Iran and its nuclear aspirations.
The hackers who intruded into the Sands computer system sought to "punish" Adelson for his public - and quite controversial - stance, according to officials.
During an appearance on a panel at Yeshiva University last year, Adelson, who has sought to wield influence in Israel by virtue of his position as owner of the newspaper Israel Hayom, suggested that the US should use nuclear weapons on Iran to impose its demands from a position of strength.
Asked by moderator Rabbi Shmuley Boteach whether the US should negotiate with Iran if it were to cease its uranium enrichment program, Adelson retorted, “What are we going to negotiate about?”
Adelson then imagined what might happen if an American official were to call up an Iranian official, say “watch this,” and subsequently drop a nuclear bomb in the middle of the Iranian desert.
"Then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development. You want to be peaceful? Just reverse it all, and we will guarantee you that you can have a nuclear power plant for electricity purposes, energy purposes’," Adelson said.
QUETTA: Militants killed a policeman and injured another two in Balochistan's troubled Khuzdar district on Saturday morning.
Muhammad Ibrahim, a police official told Dawn that militants opened fire at a police check post at Zero Point Khuzdar killing one personnel on the spot. Injured policemen were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.
Ibrahim stated that the assailants sped away on their motorcycles after the attack. Police and Frontier Crops personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area as a probe into the incident went underway.
Militants, in separate incident, targeted a police mobile with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
Imran Qureshi, the Superintendent of Police Sariab told Dawn that militants targeted the police mobile in Hazar Ganji area of the city. He however said that the police mobile narrowly escaped the blast and added that nobody was hurt in the attack.

MULTAN: Police foiled a major terror attack Saturday in central Punjab province killing at least four suspected Taliban militants, officials said. Heavy weapons and explosives, including four suicide jackets, 12 rockets, 40 hand grenades, 328 kilogrammes of gun-powder, were recovered from the militants after a gun battle in the southern Muzaffargarh district, some 350 kilometres from provincial capital Lahore.
"We received information from intelligence officials about the movement of militants in the area. The gunfight started when police signalled a car to stop for checks and militants fired at the cops," Rai Zamir-ul-Haq, police chief in the district, told AFP.
"In the exchange of fire, we killed four militants. Two police officials were also injured by two grenades hurled at them by the militants," he said.
Cheez, that reads like a "cross-fire"...
Police said they also found chemicals for potential use in a attack stored in the militants' vehicle, which was also confiscated for further investigation.
"By seizing such large quantity of weapons and explosives and killing these militants, we have foiled a major attempt of terror in the region. There were confirmed intelligence reports that the militants were planning major terrorist attacks in Multan and Muzaffargarh cities," Haq said.
The authorities suspect that the militants are linked to the Punjabi Taliban faction of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant outfit which has waged a long-term insurgency in the country and has killed thousands of people in suicide, bomb and gun attacks.
"The killed militants belonged to banned Punjabi Taliban's Abu-Ubaida group and we had received confirmed intelligence reports about their planned activities," Haq said.
Nabila Ghazanfar, a police spokeswoman in Lahore, confirmed the killings and said that the cops had cordoned off the area to search any other militants in the region. Another senior police official in the territory, Rehmatullah Niazi said that the bodies of the militants were being identified.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif appreciated the police personnel for their bravery and valiant efforts, in a statement issued.

[IsraelTimes] Four Christian children had their heads chopped off by Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... jihadists in Iraq for refusing to convert to Islam, according to an Anglican priest commonly known as the “Vicar of Baghdad.”
Prob'ly a good deal more than four have been martyred, but they will stand in for the rest until the bodies are exhumed.
Speaking in late November from Jerusalem to the Orthodox Christian Network, Canon Andrew White recounted the killings, his voice full of emotion.
“ISIS turned up and they said to the children, ‘You say the words that you will follow Muhammad,'” he said. “And the children, all under 15, four of them, they said “No, we love Yesua [Jesus]. We have always loved Yesua. We have always followed Yesua. Yesua has always been with us.
“They said, ‘Say the words!’ They said, ‘No, we can’t.’ They chopped all their heads off. How do you respond to that? You just cry.”
“They are my children,” he said. “That is what we have been going through and that is what we are going through.”
White said IS was searching for him, leading the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Anglican Church’s highest official, to ordered him out of Baghdad. “I am in Israel now,” he said.
The Islamic State group holds about a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria, and has released a series a grisly videos showing beheadings and other executions.
Alan Henning in an Islamic State video released September 14
White said that 250,000 Iraqi Christians are still displaced, and that Iraqi Christians, who once numbered 1.5 million, are fleeing the country.
White is the vicar of Baghdad’s St. George’s Church, the only Anglican church in Iraq.
The Vicar of Baghdad reopened St. George’s in 2003, along with Justin Welby, a fellow member of the Anglican clergy with whom he had worked at England’s Coventry Cathedral.
Welby is now the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Anglican church.
St George’s, which was founded in 1863, was closed down by Saddam Hussein. It now has the largest congregation of any church in Iraq, at 6,500. About 600 of its regulars are Moslems.
White, with an extensive background in and knowledge of Judaism, studied in an ultra-Orthodox yeshiva in Jerusalem and at the Hebrew University. He and his wife Caroline named their two sons Yossi (Josiah) and Jacob. Now in his late 40s, he did his doctorate at Cambridge on the role of Israel in Christian theology. He also served for a time as the Kashrut officer at Cambridge’s Jewish Society, “though I was too frum for them.”

Were this to occur in the West, we would label them serial or mass murderers and put them down like the slime they are--well maybe not so much since there are Muslims and Black Panthers in residence. If they were Tea Party members, Branch Davidians, white male gun owners, conservatives, or anyone listed on the Southern Poverty Law Center website, they might be.

They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group bully boyz shot down an Iraqi military helicopter Saturday, officials said, killing the two pilots on board and raising fresh concerns about the turbans? ability to attack aircraft amid ongoing US-led coalition Arclight airstrikes.
The attack happened in the Shiite holy city of Samarra, about 95 kilometers (60 miles) north of Baghdad. A senior Defense Ministry official told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named the Sunni bully boyz used a shoulder-fired rocket launcher to shoot down the EC635 helicopter on the outskirts of the city. An army official corroborated the information. Both spoke on condition of anonymity as they weren?t authorized to speak to journalists.
The EC635, built by Airbus Helicopters, is used for transport, surveillance and combat.
The bully boyz shot down at least two other Iraqi military helicopters near the city of Beiji in October. Some fear the bully boyz may have captured ground-to-air missiles capable of shooting down airplanes when they overran Iraqi and Syrian army bases this summer.
European airlines including Virgin Atlantic, KLM and Air La Belle France, US carrier Delta Air Lines and Dubai-based Emirates changed their commercial flight plans over the summer to avoid Iraqi airspace. The US-trained Iraqi military virtually collapsed in the face of the bad boys? blitz, shedding their uniforms and abandoning sophisticated weapons near the northern city of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... The Islamic State group holds about a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria in its self-styled caliphate.

[IsraelTimes] Border Police officers tossed in the slammer Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! two Paleostinians Saturday evening after a search of their vehicle yielded a concealed M-16 rifle.
The two Paleostinian men, both in their 20s from the town of al-Bira, outside Ramallah, were searched at the Tapuah Junction checkpoint. The coppers found a bullet beneath the rear seat, Ynet reported, and one of the two men attempted to flee the scene.
After warning shots were had gun sex, the man was apprehended. The two were taking in for questioning.
Earlier in the day, IDF soldiers arrested two Paleostinian men who approached them suspiciously near the village of Burin, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
The two suspects were both armed with knives, and were detained on suspicion of attempting to stab the soldiers, Israel Radio reported. They were taken in for interrogation by Israeli security forces.
Israel has witnessed a string of stabbing attacks in recent weeks that have left multiple civilians injured. Last week?s attack at a West Bank supermarket left two Israelis maimed, and their suspected Paleostinian assailant was shot and injured by the security guard.
Earlier in the day, at least three rockets were fired from the Gazoo Strip out to sea in an apparent weapons test by Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, Ynet cited Paleostinian reports saying. Similar tests were conducted Thursday and Friday as well, the report said.

[IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian driver slammed his car Saturday into a concrete barrier at a hitchhiking post popular with IDF soldiers near a military post in the southern West Bank.
None of the soldiers standing at the spot was hurt but the Paleostinian man suffered moderate injuries, Israel Radio reported, without specifying the exact location. It was not immediately clear if the incident was an accident or an attempted attack.
A similar incident occurred Friday when a Paleostinian man drove his car into a concrete barrier near two IDF soldiers as they stood at a bus stop near an army base south of Nablus.
The man in that incident was lightly maimed and taken for questioning as initial suspicions were that he attempted to run over the soldiers in a terrorist attack. The IDF said later Friday that a joint IDF, Shin Bet and police investigation concluded that the incident was a car accident.
Car attacks by Paleostinian bully boyz have killed five people since mid-October.
Four communist militants have surrendered to the Philippine military. The Eastern Mindanao Command said among those who surrendered was a New People's Army squad leader. The Observatory, which relies on activists and medics on the ground for its information, also reported festivities at the jihadist-besieged border town of Kobane, some 100 kilometers (60 miles) away.
IS fighters, who already control swathes of Syria and neighboring Iraq, launched an assault on the town on September 16.
But they have been held off by Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) militiamen, Kurdish peshmerga reinforcements from Iraq and U.S.-led coalition air strikes.
The Observatory also said IS jihadists had beheaded four men in public in the central province of Homs after accusing them of "insulting God".
