Just some reflections on this 911 day. Yesterday, Mrs. JQC and I went downtown to honor the Medal of Honor recipients. Many other people turned out for the occasion. As the MOH recipients passed across the viaduct, many in the crowd had tears of gratitude and most likely also had a huge lump in their throats. Thank God we have people such as these MOH recipients (as well as all other veterans) who hold American values dearly and protect these values at all costs.
This morning Mrs. Smith, mother of John Smith (9-11-12 Benghazi fighter who was killed by Islamic terrorists) and the four survivors who fought to save their fellow countrymen against orders to stand down were interviewed. It was an emotional meeting for all of them and very humbling to watch. All good Americans. Thank God we have such people in this country.
I only wish we would have leadership in Washington who was worthy of such people. Thank God for the 911 responders. Don’t ever forget 911 and keep the faith. Understand 911? There’s not much to understand; they hate us and want to kill us.
[ABNA.IR] Afghan national security forces backed by army troops have killed 50 Talibs and injured 13 others during separate cleanup operations across the Asian country over the past 24 hours.
The Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement issued on Wednesday that the Death Eaters were killed and injured during a series of operations carried out in Baghlan, Ghazni, Khost, Kunar, Pashtun-infested Logar, Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. , Paktia, Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... and Takhar provinces.
The statement further noted that four Talibs were also enjugged Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! during the operations.
It, however, did not mention whether there were any casualties on the side of the Afghan forces.
The Taliban have not yet confirmed any casualties and made no comments on the operations.
The Talibs have stepped up their attacks against the Afghan government, foreign forces and civilians. The group has vowed to escalate the attacks on Afghan forces and US-led troops, their bases, diplomatic missions and vehicle convoys before foreign forces exit the country at the end of 2014.
The US and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 as part of Washington's so-called war on terror. The offensive removed the Taliban from power, but insecurity remains across the country despite the presence of thousands of US-led troops.
The US-led war in Afghanistan, which has caused record-high civilian and military casualties, has become the longest military conflict in US history.

[Tolo News] The Presidential Palace on Wednesday in a blurb condemned the U.S. air strike in the eastern Kunar district of Narang that claimed the lives of at least 11 civilians and injured 12 others.
The statement stressed that the assigned responsible organs must seriously investigate the air strike.
Meanwhile, ...back at the alley, Bugs Moroni was holding Slats from behind while his brother Greasy Thumb was pounding his face into paste ... the Pak military's missile attacks on Kunar continue. According to the Kunar Police Chief Habib Sayedkhili, the Pak military has fired about 40 missiles into Shigal, Dangam and Sarkano districts of the province over last day only.
"Shelling started at around 3 p.m. and continued until 6 p.m. today. Fortunately, there were no human casualties, but the forests and agricultural lands have been damaged."
Kunar residents have become restless of the constant attacks criticizing the government's negligence of solving the issue.
"The Pak rocket attacks have displaced many residents, forcing them to evacuate their homes," Kunar resident Ajmal said. "No one asks about our situation."
"We can't sleep at night because of the attacks; rocket shelling continues day and night. Neither the government nor the international community has supported us," another resident Malang added.
The attacks--on going for three years--have continued and accelerated despite the Afghan government's continuous demands that Pakistain halt invasive attacks on the Afghan soil.

[Libya Herald] The corpse count in the Washefana area continues to rise as missiles rain down into it. Forty three people are reported to have been killed in shelling since Sunday and 67 injured, of whom 27 are said to be at death's door. The dead are said be mostly civilians and to include 12 children and four women.
Yesterday, at least 13 people were reported killed, among them a family of five plus three neighbours when a shell hit their homes in Siyad. The previous day at least 12 were reported killed.
The area is surrounded by Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... forces which yesterday claimed that it was making progress on several front to capture it. They were moving kilometre by kilometre combing houses and farms, a Libya Dawn front man said.
Such shelling, however, may constitute war crimes according to the UN.
Much of it, a Warshefana official told the Libya Herald, has been coming from Zawian forces. He claimed that Zawian militia commander Shaaban Hadia, who heads Libyan Revolutionaries Operation Room and who is also known as Abu Obeida Al-Zawi, was responsible for most of it.
The source also said that Zahra hospital, the main medical facility in the area, was suffering from a shortage of medicines and medical supplies because of a blockade by Libya Shield ...a conglomerate of pro-Islamist militias deployed across Libya. It reports to the Libyan defense ministry and is organized like a real army unit. Its commander used to head a Benghazi brigade called Free Libya Martyrs... Western forces.
Al-Zawi shot to prominence when he was jugged ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... in Egypt in January on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities. It resulted in the kidnapping of five Egyptian diplomats in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... who were released only after he was freed.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, Bart was wondering if fisticuffs would be appropriate at this point... this afternoon the home of Mohammed Tantosh of the Warshifana Shoura Council was destroyed in a missile attack.

[Libya Herald] Militia units from the southeast and southwest of the country are heading to Benghazi to join Operation Dignity forces in the war against Ansar al-Sharia ...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... and the Libya Shield ...a conglomerate of pro-Islamist militias deployed across Libya. It reports to the Libyan defense ministry and is organized like a real army unit. Its commander used to head a Benghazi brigade called Free Libya Martyrs... brigades.
The army units being deployed to Benghazi are mostly Tebus from Kufra and the south west of the country but also include Arabs from Murzuk.
"Some of the army units based at the Sarir oilfield and others from Murzuk have left to join and support the Libyan army's fight against Ansar al-Sharia and the Shields in Benghazi," a leading officer in the Tebu gang told the Libya Herald. He asked to remain nameless .
The Tebu 25 brigade based at the Sarir oilfield some 450 kilometers north of Kufra has officially given its support to Operation Dignity which launched its war on the Islamists and their allies in June.
The two largest Tebu brigades in the southwest, Desert Shield and the Martyrs of Um Aranib, also announced their support for Operation Dignity at much the same time.
"The army units who are being deployed to Benghazi are mostly Tebus but some are Arabs from the Murzuk military defense zone," the officer said. He was keen to point out that, unlike the turbans, all of them were trained army personnel who had served as border guards and land forces even before the revolution.
Despite requests from the Libya Herald as to the numbers of men planning to join in the fight against Ansar in Benghazi and the scale of armaments to be used, the officer remained guarded. "I couldn't tell. But it is something like 300 soldiers for now, and could definitely increase to far more."
Tebus took the lead in the revolution in 2011 in the south of the country, largely because of discrimination and persecution by the Qadaffy regime. Since the, however, there have been a number of deadly festivities between Tebu militias and their Arab counterparts.
The number of Tebu brigades in Libya is unknown. However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... they wield considerable practical power given their role as protection forces for a significant number of oilfields across the country. It is estimated that those fields account for 65 percent of the country's oil production.
In the southeast, they are based at one the country's oldest and largest oilfields, Sarir, and its attached facilities. In central Libya they are at the Ghani, Sabah and Naga oilfields near Zelah while in the southwest, they can be found at the massive El Fil (Elephant) oilfield and the Sharara field, the third largest in the country.

[Libya Herald] Tuareg leaders have rejected an appeal from Misrata that they support the Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... Operation in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
A delegation from Misrata, led by Misrata Shura Council member Mohammed Al-Ragoubi, arrived unexpectedly in Obari on Monday hoping to persuade the Tuareg to back the operation.
Announcing that the delegation had come to discuss the current situation in the country, Ragoubi assured those present at the hastily convened meeting that the Tuaregs played an integral role in Libya and that the tribe's support of and involvement with Libya Dawn would be a great asset to the movement.
The delegation called on the Tuareg elders to support Omar Al-Hassi's "government" and to get behind the resurrected General National Congress (GNC). The group also asked the tribe for assistance in securing the Obari oilfields -- thought to be the real reason from the Misratan visit.
Libya Dawn forces indicated last month that they wanted to "secure" Libya oilfields. The Tuareg are key to controlling the fields in the Murzuq and Ghadames basins. Without them, there is little chance of Dawn forces being able to secure anything in the area.
In response to the approach, the Tuareg elders said that they were behind "Mother Libya" and that they would have no part in supporting one Libyan faction against another. They wanted to see productive dialogue that would lead to a peaceful solution between the warring parties, they added.

[ARABNEWS] Egypt: Residents in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula said on Wednesday they found a beheaded corpse bearing a note signed by a Lion of Islam group linked to the Syria and Iraq-based Islamic State, accusing the victim of being an Israeli spy.
The beheading is the eighth claimed by the group in Sinai in under a month in a surge of brutal killings seemingly inspired by Islamic State.
Residents from a village south of the town of Sheikh Zuweid in northern Sinai told Rooters by phone that the decapitated body bore a note signed by Ansar Bayt Al-Maqdis, saying he was an agent for Israeli spy agency Mossad.
"This is the fate of all who prove to be traitors to their homeland," the group said in the note, according to the villagers.
A senior Ansar commander told Rooters last week that Islamic State, an Al-Qaeda offshoot that controls large swathes of Syria and Iraq, had been advising the Sinai-based group on how to operate more effectively.

[ARABNEWS] Yemeni police rubbed out Tuesday seven Shiite rebel activists who were attempting to storm the government headquarters in an escalation of demonstrations, a protest organizer said.
The incident comes after rebel chief Abdulmalik Al-Huthi vowed to step up protests.
Activists have been camped out in the capital for weeks in a campaign to bring down the government and secure greater representation in state institutions.
Thousands of them marched toward the city center from the so-called Change Square, epicenter of the 2011 uprising, which the rebels have made a major focus of their protest.
Some activists blocked the main thoroughfares, while others marched on government headquarters, witnesses said.
They were met by anti-riot police who fired tear gas, water cannon and live rounds, "killing seven of them and wounding dozens," activist Khaled Al-Madani told AFP.
An Interior Ministry official confirmed that police had stopped protesters, who "tried to storm... the premises of the council of ministers," in a statement on the official Saba news agency.
AFP could not independently verify the Huthi toll.
On Sunday, the rebels said two demonstrators were rubbed out and around 40 were maimed in festivities with police special forces near the interior ministry, where the rebels have been expanding their sit-in and blocking a main road leading to the airport.
The next day, the chief of police special forces was replaced.
Huthi protesters have forced shut the ministries of electricity and telecommunications, and rebels Monday prevented government vehicles from entering or leaving the capital.
Speaking late Monday, the Huthi commander vowed that "we will continue our escalation," while saying "negotiations will continue."
So far, Ansarullah has rejected overtures from President Abdu Rabbo Mansour Hadi in offering a new prime minister and reducing a disputed fuel price hike.

But here in America even on a military base no one is allowed to carry guns ? And even the US Marines don't get to carry any real ammo...just BFAs. The guard at the front Gate has a .45 watch pistol that rattles like a box of Wheaties ( 1911 ). But no ammo.
You could storm the Pentagon and the Security Guard is all you would meet. None of the Generals are armed. America is such a safe place even Nancy Pelosi is unarmed. Of course, you might get bitten.

Wednesday on Newsmax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show," Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) detailed a private classified meeting she had with the FBI to ask if any citizens from Minnesota were fighting with ISIS.
Bachmann said she was told there are two, which has since been reported, but the congresswoman stressed when she asked if they would be allowed to return the agents said after extra scrutiny they would.
In response the Minnesota lawmaker has proposed in the House, "The Terrorist Denaturalization and Passport Revocation Act," which would strip the citizenship of Americans who join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to fight.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has introduced similar legislation in the Senate.

Islam is just that way. Its that kind of religion. Is famous ( the world over ) for that sort of Values.
Not exactly like the Methodists and the Presbyterians or even the Baptists and the Episcopalians. The Episcopalians want more women priests and have nothing against a gay Bishop. The Baptists don't care if you went to High School. And the Methodists are good with a vacuum Cleaner and can make muffins. Church ( different ones ) on every corner. How many sects do they have in small town America? About 200?
And all of them are Rotarians ( probably )

[DAWN] Sunni holy man and lecturer of Jamia Binoria, Maulana Masood Baig was bumped off by unknown assailants in North Nazimabad's Hyderi area on Wednesday.
The holy man, who was the son-in-law of renowned holy man and head of Jamia Binoria Mufti Naeem, was shot while heading home from Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... University by assailants riding a cycle of violence. Masood was struck down in his prime.
More than a dozen people have bit the dust in a spate of what is being described as sectarian killings in recent days despite a Rangers-led targeted operation underway in the city.
On Saturday, the elder son of former senator Allama Abbas Kumaili, also a holy man, was bumped off and his two guards were maimed in a targeted attack in Azizabad. Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili, 40, was rubbed out in what was found to be a sectarian attack by Sherlocks.
Ali Akbar Kumaili, father of four, was known for his oratory skills and for his style of addressing Majalis-e-Aza.
The Majlis Wahdat-e-Moslemeen had demanded on Sunday that an army operation be launched in Karachi immediately on the pattern of North Wazoo, as the killing of Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili had "exposed the hollow claims" of success of the ongoing targeted operation.

[ABNA.IR] The Iraqi army has launched a major offensive against ISIL Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... Death Eaters south of Iraq's Salahuddin Province.
The major operation on Wednesday comes as the Iraqi army has recently been making advances in al-Dhuluiya and Khazraj areas in the province.
Reports say dozens of Takfiri Death Eaters have been killed or placed in durance vile Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! overnight.
On Monday, the ISIL Takfiri group launched a large-scale attack on Dhuluiya district. However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... Iraqi forces and rustics in the area repelled their attack.
Meanwhile, ...back at the barn, a little lightbulb figuratively appeared over Bossy's head... the Iraqi Ministry of Defense has called on the residents of Barawana in the western Anbar Province to return home. The army recently managed to retake the area from ISIL gunnies during a two-day operation.
"The armed forces finished dismantling the last improvised bombs the Death Eaters left behind before they fled," said army commander in Anbar Lt. Gen. Rasheed Flaih , adding, "We are now calling on residents to return home and return to their business safely and freely."
Iraq has been fighting the ISIL Death Eaters since they took control of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... on June 10. The Takfiri Death Eaters currently control parts of eastern Syria and Iraq's northern and western regions. They have threatened all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.
Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... , Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

[Ynet] Al-Nusra Front releases video in which 45 captured UN soldiers appear safe and unharmed; Israel confirms their release.
The IDF spokesperson confirmed Thursday afternoon that the 45 Fijian peacekeepers that had been captured by al-Nusra Front rebels in the Syrian Golan had been released and crossed into Israel safely.
The bully boy group, which seized the UN troops as it pushed back the Syrian Army along Israel's norther border, posted a video earlier in which the hostages, said that they expect to be released soon.
The video, which was posted on the al-Nusra Front's Twitter and YouTube accounts on Wednesday but was apparently recorded a day earlier, appeared to show the troops in a good condition, at points smiling and waving at the camera.
On Wednesday, the head of Fiji's army said the Islamist bully boy group had dropped all of its demands to free the hostages, but at least slightly back-pedaled later in the day as the situation appeared to deteriorate.
It was unclear whether the video, carried by the SITE monitoring service, was made before or after the confusion surrounding those comments, but a UN source earlier told Rooters that the forces of Evil had insisted on such a video as a condition for their release.
"By the way, we are all safe and alive, and we thank Jabhat al-Nusra for keeping us safe and keeping us alive. I'd like to assure you that we have not been harmed in any way," one hostage, who was not identified, said, using the al-Nusra Front's full name.
"We understand that with the limited resources that they have, they have provided the best for us and we truly appreciate it and we thank them. We are thankful that Jabhat al-Nusra has kept its word and that we will be going home."
Syria's three-year civil war reached the frontier with Israeli-controlled territory last month when Islamist fighters overran a crossing point in the line that has separated Israelis from Syrians in the Golan Heights since a 1973 war.
The fighters then turned on the UN blue helmets from a peacekeeping force that has patrolled the ceasefire line for 40 years. After the Fijians were captured, more than 70 Filipinos spent two days besieged at two locations before reaching safety.
The Nusra Front had demanded compensation for fighters killed during the confrontation, humanitarian assistance for its supporters and its removal from the UN list of terrorist organizations.
Since independence from Britannia in 1970, Fiji has sent more soldiers on UN peacekeeping missions than any other nation, on a per capita basis, which provides its stalled economy with much-needed hard currency and helps to bolster its global image.

Such is the life of an UN peacekeeper: one day you defend peace-loving Arabs from Zionist aggression, the next you hide from the Arabs among the Zionists.
An AFP correspondent at the scene said the Fijian peacekeepers were taken in U.N. vehicles to a U.N. base in Israel.
But shortly afterwards, they returned to Syrian territory through a different crossing point, a military spokeswoman told AFP, without explaining why.
A U.N. spokesman said the peacekeepers crossed back into Syria "and are currently at Camp Faouar undergoing medical attention. We understand that they are in good condition."
The spokesman said the abductors had made no demands to secure the release of the 45, "and there were no concessions."
[Ynet] Some 50 Paleostinians began a riot in the al-Am'ari Refugee Camp near Ramallah Wednesday morning when IDF troops entered the area in an attempt to arrest a wanted Paleostinian man. The rioters threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the Israeli soldiers, and the IDF said that one of the Paleostinians threw an explosive at the troopers. According to the IDF, Security forces answered with live fire and killed the Paleostinian who had thrown the explosive while the rest of the soldiers used crowd control measures against the rioters.
The Paleostinians said that the man who was killed was 22-year-old Issa al-Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... i, and that the violence broke out after IDF troops arrived at the refugee camp looking to arrest Ala Jelita, a wanted Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, operative.
[IsraelTimes] An Arab taxi driver was beaten by Jewish assailants amid a campaign of anti-Arab intimidation in the center of Jerusalem, Channel 2 reported on Wednesday.
Two weeks ago, driver Ziad Quasmah was waiting for fares at a popular gathering spot in downtown Jerusalem when two youths got into his cab. At first they pretended to be interested in a short ride, but the two assailants then grabbed Quasmah from behind and punched him in face, breaking his nose.
Quasmah required hospital treatment for his injuries.
The attack was just one of a series of run-ins between Arab taxi drivers and right-wing gangs that patrol the pick-up points intimidating drivers, with verbal and sometimes physical assaults.
Passengers too, are targeted, the report said. When the gangs, numbering dozens of young Israelis, mostly teens, see customers getting into the Arab cabs, they accost the passengers, surrounding the vehicle and badgering them until they get out.
Channel 2 filmed several of the teens declaring that their goal is to prevent the Arab cabbies from making a living and push them out of the center of town. Cameras also caught youths throwing rocks at passing Arab taxis.
Although police are present in the areas for some of the time, during which the agitators stay out of sight, as soon as the cops leave the youths return, one driver said.
The violence against the drivers has picked up during the past two months, following the start of the recent conflict in the Gazoo Strip during which Paleostinian forces of Evil rained rocket down on Israeli towns and cities. Operation Protective Edge, the IDF's response to the rocket attacks, also provoked riots in East Jerusalem's Arab neighborhoods.
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] Chlorine gas was 'systematically and repeatedly' used against Syrian civilians in attacks on their villages this year, according to a new report.
New findings by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) conclude that the dangerous, choking gas was contained in bombs dropped on the settlements.
The report does not pin blame for the attacks on anybody, though the Syrian Army, loyal to president Bashir al-Assad, have previously been blamed for horrifying chemical weapons attacks.

Well, they ARE Arabs and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
You sort of expect this sort of thing when it comes down to Values...from Moslems.
You got any Moslem neighbors in your town? Invite them over and be friendly. It is all probably a mis-understanding.

How many of those civilians were actually ISIS or Al Nusra, or one of the other dozens (hundreds?) of 'brigades' or 'armies' fighting Assad which range from Moslem Brotherhood to ISIS in daily cruelty, but share the goal of instituting Sharia Law over the entire population? Or their purchased [formerly non-Sunni] wives and slaves?

I once had a lab accident, involving a giant spurt of chlorine gas straight up the schnoz. Instant headache that felt like someone had split the hemispheres of my brain with an ax. I informed the professor, who shrugged it off. With such a thoroughly sterilized respiratory tract, he joked that at least I'd be safe from colds and flu for a good six months. Smartass. I slept it off and was fine the next day.
Just sayin, I can't imagine how much it must take, outdoors, to inflict permanent damage. Chlorine is kids' stuff, compared to most other CW agents.
