| US Air Strike Kills 11 Civilians, Pakistan Continues to Shell Kunar |

According to the Kunar Police Chief Habib Sayedkhili, the Pak military has fired about 40 missiles into Shigal, Dangam and Sarkano districts of the province over last day only. "Shelling started at around 3 p.m. and continued until 6 p.m. today. Fortunately, there were no human casualties, but the forests and agricultural lands have been damaged." Kunar residents have become restless of the constant attacks criticizing the government's negligence of solving the issue. "The Pak rocket attacks have displaced many residents, forcing them to evacuate their homes," Kunar resident Ajmal said. "No one asks about our situation." "We can't sleep at night because of the attacks; rocket shelling continues day and night. Neither the government nor the international community has supported us," another resident Malang added. The attacks--on going for three years--have continued and accelerated despite the Afghan government's continuous demands that Pakistain halt invasive attacks on the Afghan soil. |
