10 Chadians Shot Dead in Southern Libya
[An Nahar] Ten Chadian nationals have been bumped off in southern Libya by attackers in military uniform, the Chadian foreign ministry said Thursday.

"Ten Chadian nationals were rubbed out in cold blood in Sbeha by a group of gunnies, all of them wearing military uniforms," the ministry said in a statement.

It added that the attackers were all Libyan and described the incident as "an odious crime perpetrated against innocent civilians."

The circumstances of the incident were not immediately clear but N'Djamena said the Chadians were on their way home to Chad from the Libyan capital Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...

Sisi sweeps election as Egypt military reasserts grip
[The Peninsula] Ex-army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sissi has scored a crushing presidential election triumph and consolidated the military's grip, 11 months after the overthrow of the only Egyptian president not drawn from its ranks.

Ninety-six percent of voters, at least 21 million Egyptians, chose Sisi, who deposed elected Islamist president Mohammed Mursi, with ballots counted from all but a handful of 352 stations, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reported Thursday.

Sisi's only electoral rival, leftist leader Hamdeen Sabbahi, won less than four percent, according to the preliminary results.

The longtime opposition figure conceded defeat on Thursday but cast doubt on the estimated turnout figure of 47 percent after calls for a high participation rate as a sign of legitimacy.

Ahead of the final results due within a week, hundreds of Sisi supporters erupted into the streets on Wednesday night to celebrate, waving Egyptian flags, setting off fireworks and honking car horns.

"It's a victory for stability," said Tahra Khaled, among the crowd in Cairo's Tahrir Square, nerve centre of the mass protests that forced autocratic president Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
to step down in 2011.

Sisi, who retired from the army to run for office, becomes Egypt's fifth president from the military, reasserting the institution's grip on politics in the Arab world's most populous nation.

The military has always formed the backbone of political life in Egypt and the institution has provided its leaders ever since army officers toppled the monarchy in 1952.

Boko Haram in Four-Hour Reign of Terror, Kills 35 in Yobe
[ALLAFRICA] Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
terrorists, Tuesday, killed 35 persons comprising 14 soldiers, 11 coppers and 10 civilians in separate attacks in Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State and Chinene village in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The Divisional Police Officer of Bunu Yadi Division, Superintendent Hassan Thlama, was among the coppers killed, while many others sustained gunshot injuries.

In the attack, the palaces of the Emir and the District Head (names withheld), a cop shoppe and some military posts were completely destroyed, while in the Chinene attack, two Churches, shops and residential houses were set ablaze.

Buni Yadi is about 55 kilometers South of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital that had witnessed several attacks, particularly the attack on the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, which claimed the lives of over 55 students while they were sleeping in their dormitories.

Chinene village is South-East and a border community with Cameroon and about 130 kilometres drive from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Four-hour reign of terror

It was gathered that a large number of suspected bully boyz invaded Buni Yadi at 5p.m. on Monday. They came in Hilux vehicles with military camouflage uniforms, improvised bombs, IEDs, petrol bombs and rocket-propelled launchers.

The attack, which lasted till 9p.m., targeted security formations. Many government structures including the Magistrate Court, and vehicles were destroyed.

A top security source in Damaturu, who confirmed the incident said: "The gunnies took all the security operatives in Buni Yadi unawares and wreaked havoc on mostly coppers and soldiers.

"Apart from 11 coppers and 14 soldiers killed, two persons suspected to be civilians, who were caught up in the crossfire, also bit the dust."

A resident of Buni Yadi, Mallam Jubrin Usmanu, told Vanguard in a telephone interview that the gunnies only came for security operatives as they did not attack residents, but that civilians who died might have been hit by stray bullets.

He said the gunnies also burnt down the palaces of the emir and the District Head of Buni Yadi "without killing anybody as they first asked the residents in the palaces to leave before they set the places ablaze," Usmanu added.

Another reliable security source said the dead bodies of their colleagues killed in Buni Yadi were evacuated to General Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital in Damaturu, before conveying them to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital Mortuary for identification by their relatives on yesterday, while the injured ones are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals in Damaturu and Maiduguri.

The front man of the Military operatives in Damaturu, Lieutenant Eli Lazarus was contacted on phone several times, but there was no response at press time.

In a related development eight people were killed when some suspected bully boyz riding in cycle of violences and armed with AK47 rifles stormed Chinene village of Chikidr Joghode Kaghum ward of Gwoza council in Borno State.

Flags up

The Death Eaters, according to sources also hoisted their flags in Ashigashiya Ward and other hilly border villages with Cameroon and were celebrating what they now claimed as their strongholds.

A resident, Mr. Joshua Jidda, said the gunnies invaded Chinene at 2a.m., yesterday, and opened fire on sleeping residents killing eight people, including an old woman in her 80s.

He gave the names of some of the victims as Bulama Dajiba, Bulama John, Haruna Kwatha, Haruna Wadda, Births Kurma, Haruna Waruda and Shaibu Galva.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gideon Jubrin, could not be reached as his phone numbers were switched off. A top police source confirmed the attacks and the number of casualties.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Ten detained in Moscow terror plot
Russia's Interior Ministry announced Thursday that it had detained ten individuals who were planning a terrorist attack in the Moscow region on Victory Day. The suspects, residents of the Moscow region from Dagestan, were detained on the morning of May 7 after an improvised explosive device was uncovered at their residence, according to the ministry website.

The ministry said it had received information about the individuals' acquisition of materials to build an improvised explosive device on the eve of the May holidays. Security agents also seized large amounts of religious literature at the suspects' residence, including books contained on the Justice Ministry's list of extremist materials banned in the country. Maps detailing the location of Victory Day celebrations in the Moscow region were also found.

The Interior Ministry said in its statement that the organizer and conspirators of the thwarted attack had confessed, and that a criminal case had now been opened on charges of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act.

India-Pakistan
Blast Kills Two in India's Restive Northeast
[An Nahar] A powerful kaboom Thursday killed two people and maimed another six at a crowded market in India's restive northeast that has been plagued for decades by separatist violence, police said.

Police suspected a local myrmidon group behind the blast that shook the the heart of Imphal, capital of the state of Manipur, which borders Myanmar.

"Two persons were killed and six injured in the blast and we suspect it to be an improvised bomb," Clay Khongsai, senior Manipur police official, told Agence La Belle France Presse by telephone from Imphal.

"Definitely one of the valley based myrmidon group must have carried out the attack," he added.

The motive for the kaboom was not immediately known. No rebel group has yet grabbed credit.

The two fatalities had come to Imphal to sell vegetables at a market run by women in the area, while two of the six injured were women vendors.

The remote state has long been affected by murderous Moslem violence and is home to dozens of tribal groups and small guerrilla armies fighting New Delhi's rule.

They often compete against each other in pie fights for dominance in the state.

Three killed in 'sectarian' attacks
[DAWN] KARACHI: The son of an Imambargah
...since Pakistain is very religiously correct™, Shia Moslems can't call their houses of worship 'mosques,' which are reserved for Sunnis. It's not clear if imambargahs are used for explosives storage like mosques are...
caretaker was bumped off in the Gulberg area on Wednesday evening just hours after a shopkeeper was killed in Nazimabad on sectarian grounds, while the car mechanic targeted a day ago in a suspected sectarian attack died during treatment at hospital, officials said.

All the three victims were Shia, police said.

Syed Hammad Ali Naqvi was targeted in front of Qasr-e-Abu Talib Imambargah in Karimabad by armed motorcyclists, the police said.

He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead
He's dead, Jim!
on arrival, said a hospital official.

"The victim was the son of the caretaker of the Imambargah, Abbas Raza, and the murder appeared to be the outcome of sectarianism," said Gulberg SHO Farooq Sanjrani.

A spokesperson of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen said he was targeted inside the Imambargah.

Earlier, two shopkeepers were killed in Nazimabad and Liaquatabad on sectarian grounds, officials said.Syed Sami Abbas Zaidi, 35, was bumped off at his 'Mashallah General Store' in Gol Market, Nazimabad, the police said.

He was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead
He's dead, Jim!
on arrival, they added.

"It appeared to be an act of sectarian killing," said Nazimabad SHO Ejaz Lodhi.

Referring to the murder, the MWM front man said that two men were bumped off within six hours but the law-enforcement agencies were conspicuous by their absence.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy was furiously chewing her cud and thinking...
the car mechanic who had been targeted at his shop on Tuesday night died during treatment at the hospital, officials said.

They said Ibne Raza Haider had been maimed in the gun attack on his shop by armed motorcyclists in the C-1 area of Liaquatabad. Three other persons, including a boy, had also sustained gunshot wounds in the attack. Ibne Raza died during treatment at the hospital. "The real target was Ibne Raza," said Super Market SHO Rizwan Patel, suspecting that the attack was carried out on sectarian grounds.

Malik Ishaq acquitted in three cases over insufficient evidence
[DAWN] A Rawalpindi anti-terrorist court on Thursday acquitted Malik Ishaq, chief of proscribed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi
... a 'more violent' offshoot of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistain. LeJ's purpose in life is to murder anyone who's not of utmost religious purity, starting with Shiites but including Brelvis, Ahmadis, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Rosicrucians, and just about anyone else you can think of. They are currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of al-Qaeda ...
(LJ) murderous Moslem group, in three cases relating to terrorism, DawnNews reported.

Judge Rana Masood Akhtar issued acquittal orders for Ishaq in the cases, saying the evidence against Ishaq was not sufficient for further proceedings.

The had been registered against Ishaq at cop shoppes in Attock, Hazro and Talagang and he was also previously placed in durance vile
I ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece!
over charges relating hate-speech and inciting violence.

Having faced charges relating to killing of more than 100 people, most of them Shia Mohammedans, and the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in March 2009, Ishaq has spent around 15 years in Pak jails.

He was initially a member of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistain
...a Sunni Deobandi organization, a formerly registered Pak political party, established in the early 1980s in Jhang by Maulana Haq Nawaz Jhangvi. Its stated goal is to oppose Shia influence in Pakistain. They're not too big on Brelvis, either. Or Christians. Or anybody else who's not them. The organization was banned in 2002 as a terrorist organization, but somehow it keeps ticking along, piling up the corpse counts...
(SSP), a banned Sunni murderous Moslem group but later dissociated himself from it for his alleged 'violent policies' and formed his own outfit. The LJ was proscribed by the Pakistain government as a terror group soon after its inception in early 1990s.

After reaching an agreement with Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat
...which is the false nose and plastic mustache of the murderous banned extremist group Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistain, whatcha might call the political wing of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi...
(ASWJ) chief Ahmed Ludhianvi, Ishaq joined as second-in-command of the former SSP in 2012.

In Feb 2014, the United States added Ishaq to its list of most wanted international faceless myrmidons along with keeping the LJ on a list of international terrorist organizations.

Paramilitary soldier among three killed in Orakzai attack
[DAWN] Three rustics including a paramilitary soldier were killed on Thursday as Death Eaters attacked a convoy of Sipahe Tribe -- a predominant Shia clan -- returning from a funeral in Lal Pura area of Lower Orakzai Agency
... crawling with holy men, home to Darra Adam Khel, the world's largest illegal arms bazaar. 14 distinct tribes of beturbanned primitives inhabit Orakzai agency's 1500 or so square kilometers...
.

Tehsildar Lower Orakzai Agency, Sher Bahadar Khan told Dawn.com that a terrorist has also been bumped off while at least five others managed to escape the site.

He said that a search operation has been launched in the area and a number of suspects have been locked away
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
.

Some sources said that the attack was aimed at the Shia tribe, who are opposed to myrmidon acts. No group has so far grabbed credit for the attack.

The political administration said that they were investigating into the incident.

Orakzai Agency has been one of the toughest war zone, which was used to be the second home to most of the Mehsud Taliban led by Hakimullah Mehsud and it took the security forces almost three years to flush the Death Eaters out of the area.

However,
a woman is only as old as she admits...
miscreants' presence still remains in few isolated areas. The Death Eaters persist in carrying out terrorist activities in the agency and the adjoining Hangu district

Maoists gun down Mindanao mayor
Police on Thursday reported that militants from the communist New People's Army (NPA) killed a mayor in Compostela Valley whom they had accused of being a member of the "Big 4" illegal logging syndicate operating in the region. Security escorts for Mayor Reynaldo Navarro of Laak town in Compostela Valley killed two of the six NPA rebels who staged the ambush on Wednesday morning.

Navarro was on his way to Tagum City in Davao del Sur province when the six NPA militants riding in two motorcycles fired at him along the highway. Police said two of Navarro's security escorts were also injured as they fought back against the attackers, killing two of them on the spot.

Police disclosed that five days before the ambush, the NPA had accused the mayor of being an alleged member of the "Big 4" syndicate of illegal loggers. Aris Francisco, spokesman for the NPA regional command, released a videotape of alleged illegal logging in the remote communities of Laak, saying, "Navarro attempted to absolve himself by saying that Laak was merely a transit point of trucks coming from the boundary of Agusan del Sur (province), the site of the illegal logging operations."

Syrian Regime Rains Barrel Bombs on Aleppo as ISIL Executes 15, including Kids
[An Nahar] Syrian forces rained barrels bombs on Aleppo Thursday, as they pressed a campaign against rebels in the northern city where dozens have been killed this week, a monitor said.

The Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also said jihadist fighters executed 15 civilians in the northeastern province of Hasakeh.

The Observatory said two people were killed in one raid that struck the rebel-held Aleppo neighborhood of al-Shaar.

Regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on several districts that are in rebel hands, the monitoring group said.

Barrel bombs killed at least 58 civilians on Tuesday and Wednesday, including 15 children, while seven non-combatants were killed on Monday.

Aleppo has been split into areas held by the regime and opposition since shortly after fighting broke out in Syria's former economic hub in 2012.

Warplanes have waged an aerial offensive on the eastern, rebel-held districts since mid-December, frequently dropping barrel bombs and killing hundreds.
