 [DAWN] KARACHI: Four suspects were bumped off in as many encounters with law-enforcement agencies during targeted operations in the old city areas on Wednesday, officials said.

and killed three suspects in a shootout, said SSP City Sheraz Nazeer. The three encounters took place at the areas near Cheel Chowk and Gabol Park, he added.

The officer said that the dear departed were identified as Arif alias Patni, 40, Zubair Ahmed alias Bhaya, 34, and Waheed Hussain alias Appu, 32. He said that the three gangsters were wanted in criminal cases.
