I love a good conspiracy theory.
I had an instructor years ago in the analysis business ande Camp LeJeune that talked about lillypads in the swamp. He taught that on the surface they don't seem connected, just proximate, but is you underneath, you see the roots and often find its all a very big system.

Reid's opponent, former state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R), has placed the blame for Nevada's economic woes squarely on Reid's shoulders. Her latest TV ad highlights the state's record unemployment and charges that Reid "has dragged Nevada down to perhaps its lowest point ever."
Reid contended in today's interview that "it would take a real stretch" in order to think that he caused the country's economic problems. Instead, Reid argued, he worked against many of the policies enacted during the administration of George W. Bush that were to blame for the economic crisis.
"I don't have any hand in what took place during the Bush administration. I tried to rein that in," Reid said.

The reason he had nothing to do with it is because he was spending all of his time in jerk practice. And gosh dang if all that practice hasn't paid off for Harry! He's easily one of the front-runners for Jerk of the Decade but the voters will decide come November.
Claims have been bandied about that President Bush was at fault for the economic down-turn that began in late 2007. Until now, Democrats have pointed the finger at our 43rd President, stating that he single-handedly pushed our nation to the brink of economic collapse. That stops today. Examining unemployment, national debt data, and GDP growth, the truth becomes clear and apparent. President Bush was not at fault for the recession we are in. The Democrats who took over Congress in 2007 are. Rest at link w/ charts

From my persepctive, I started thinking that the US was in the start of a recession at the end of Bush's term. The problem is, he never really go to do any thing about it since BO moved in. Under BO, instead of try to pull us out of a stall, he pushed the stick forward with glee and is driving this cart straight into the ground. Then blames Bush for for the nose dive. I'm surprised he hasn't blamed Bush for terrorist attacks too. After all, under BO, there are no Jihadists, no terrorists, just misunderstood, oppressed peopel trying to purify themselves, right?

Why, then, after four years with a Democrat majority in Congress and the last two years with a Democrat in the White House does the economy continue to tank? And exactly what happened to all that stimulus money? Where did it go, what good did it do and how in the hell are you going to repay the Chinese for it?

Man, I cannot wait to vote against Reid! It's not so much a vote for Sharon Angle - though I've met her and she didn't strike as "extreme," whatever that means - as a vote against one of the most cynical politicians I have ever seen. And I lived in San Francisco for 20 years.
