A man and his two sons have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a neighbor and then eating parts of his body after he tripped over a woman relative at a dance, Philippine police said on Tuesday. The three men are suspected of stabbing neighbor Benjie Ganoy to death last month in a remote village in the southwestern island of Palawan. They ate his ears, tongue and arms after roasting the body over a fire, provincial police chief Michael Garraez said. "They stabbed him repeatedly, cut off the man's ears, pulled out his tongue and ate it," Garraez told Reuters by telephone. He was quoting a sworn statement by a witness, who said he had been forced to eat some flesh taken from the victim's arms. Garraez said there was no tradition of cannibalism in the area.
"It's not a tradition, really, just a hobby"
He said the father had apparently been angry after Ganoy accidentally tripped over his daughter during a dance party.
Guess "I'm sorry" just wasn't enough.
It was the fact that he impregnated her when he tripped that was the problem.
Police said the victim disappeared after the dance party on July 17. The witness led them to the burned body almost a week later.

Without a tradition of cannibalism how does one know that arms are tasty? Did they read up on the subject beforehand? Or was it sort of a buffet sort of thing, try a bit of this, a bit of that.

The German prison inmate said despite his incarceration, he and his girlfriend are sticking together. Hyuk, hyuk...
Guards were stunned to discover the man had glued his hand to that of his visiting girlfriend last week. "They're very attached to one another..."
Media reports quoted Uwe Dieter Krone as saying, "We've glued our hands together to call attention to my prison situation and to be heard." Does anyone care? (chirp, chirp)
The couple had to be hospitalized. "They will remain there until they can be separated and will then have to appear before a judge to make statements. They cannot appear in court together," said Raquel Navarro, a spokeswoman for Spain's Penitentiary Institutions. Navarro said she didn't know what type of glue was used. Ah...cyanoacrylate, perchance? Does it matter?

"What would anyone do with it?"
An imam raped and indecently assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a Bristol mosque, a court has been told. Religious teacher Manzoor Hussain, 42, of Ashley Street, St Pauls, is accused of attacking the teenager when she came to the Montpellier mosque for lessons. Mr Hussain denies one count of rape and 11 counts of indecent assault on the girl between July 1996 and March 1997. A jury at Bristol Crown Court has heard the youngster was left "terrified, confused and frightened" by the ordeal. The alleged victim, now in her 20s, did not confide in anyone about what had happened until she went to the police last year. On Tuesday the girl's mother, who cannot be named, told the court her daughter's behaviour had changed at the time of the assaults. She said: "She was upset and very quiet and I assumed it was mood swings. She didn't tell me about any particular problem." The woman said her daughter had been a good student who had never been in trouble, but that she later rebelled against her religion and her parents. The case continues.
