[CBSNEWS] The minimum wage is set to increase in 21 states in the new year, benefiting more than 3.1 million workers, according to the Economic Policy Institute.
... 20% of whom will quietly lose their jobs, never to be replaced. This result will be unexpected.
After the new wages go into effect, 29 states and the District of Columbia will have minimum wages higher than the federal minimum of $7.25. Washington state's new minimum wage $9.47 per hour will be the highest in the nation.
In Washington and eight other states (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Ohio and Oregon) the minimum wage is rising simply due to annual adjustments required by state law. In four states (Alaska, Arkansas, Nebraska and South Dakota), voters approved ballot measures in 2014 to increase the minimum wage. In seven other states (Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia), politicians approved wage increases. Additionally, politicians in New York approved a wage increase that will go into effect on December 31, 2014.

On the upside: Fewer taxpayers should make the IRS's job much easier, less costly [but it won't]. Carbon pollution around 'fast food' establishments will be reduced as they are shuttered and the lines of 'people too lazy to cook' disappear. Computer Kiosk's replaces store clerks as retail stores downsize to [Sears Catalog store style] on-line malls.
[NEWSBUSTERS.ORG] The late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is recognized as the most effective sniper in U.S. military history. Max Blumenthal, the son of liberal journalist and adoring Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal, only has a reputation for being a jerk who trolls conservative conventions and writes books with titles like “Republican Gomorrah.” Twitchy reported on Friday that Max Blumenthal on Twitter compared Kyle to Lee Boyd Malvo, the “brainwashed” teenage half of the Beltway sniper team. Both were “mass murdering snipers.”

Author Bigman nailed it, but their evil doing is of course not limited to the Jew.
[Max Blumenthal]....member of the 'Electronic Intifada' that devote themselves single-mindedly to maligning the Jewish state.

I don't recall Chris Kyle having any moral reservations about what he did in his book contrary to what Blumental thought. He saved the lives of many, many others by what he did. He believed in that cause. I think most others would agree that he was a hero with the exceptions of Blumenthal and Ventura.
Blumenthal needs to get over himself and his so-called faux self-righteous indignation. Kyle insured that people such as Blumenthal could utter their phony, elitist, masterbatorial outpourings. Kyle was a hero but where the hell do such self-absorbed people such as Blumenthal and the current crop of apparachiks come from? Why do they seem to have so much influence in our society?

Same damn implicit lies they told about Vietnam etc. "He was there to kill Iraqis! THEREFORE, he must have been there to execute Iraqi civilians, therefore he must have been killing Iraqi civilians..."
Never mind the fact that if that was what it was all about, we have an air force and could have delivered real weapons of mass destruction with impunity.
Which I guess proves their point that we're not just evil, but stupid as well, risking all those poor reservists' lives so they could properly bayonet the babies in person, and satisfy evil zionist neocon bloodlust.
They make the accusation against Kyle as a way of making the accusation against everyone who wanted to fight the war; basically, the faction they view as political opponents. But oddly enough not against anyone who was involved in bombing Serbia. Or democratic congresspeople who voted for the resolution to use force in Iraq. They're all duped innocents, you see.

A further thought: they'll never say FDR was a murderer for the Dresden bombing. Or for the 70,000 or so estimated civilians the US and its allies killed in its various bombings of France.
[NYDAILYNEWS] The mayor spent Christmas Day and most of Friday in Connecticut with relatives. His public schedule stating he would come to the viewing wasn’t published until 9 p.m., a couple of minutes before he arrived at the Queens church where well-wishers — including many politicians — had streamed in since 2 p.m. That was after the cops asked that he not show up.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
