[REGNUM] Mali authorities ban the activities of non-governmental organizations funded by France
Mali's transitional government has imposed a ban on non-governmental organizations (NGOs) funded or supported by France from operating in the country, the Malian authorities said in a statement.
The restrictions also include NGOs to which Paris provides technical assistance. The ban also applies to those organizations that operate in the humanitarian sector.
As REGNUM reported , on November 9, French President Emmanuel Macron officially announced the end of the French military operation "Dune", which was carried out in the Sahel.

[IsraelTimes] Information led to police alerting two news hounds from regime-critical Iran ...They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... International network that they were in danger, foiling plot, says Kan broadcaster
Israel provided intelligence information to the British authorities that enabled them earlier this month to foil an Iranian plot to attack UK-based journalists, the Kan public broadcaster reported Monday.
The unsourced report said the information was about the threat facing two news hounds from Iran International, a network based in London that is critical of the Tehran regime.
In a November 7 statement, the network said "two of our British-Iranian journalists have, in recent days, been notified of an increase in the threats to them. The Metropolitan Police have now formally notified both journalists that these threats represent an imminent, credible and significant risk to their lives and those of their families. Other members of our staff have also been informed directly by the Metropolitan Police of separate threats."
It blamed the danger on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a powerful Iranian military organization that is also responsible for covert operations abroad.
Two days later, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly summoned Iran’s top-ranking diplomat in London, accusing Tehran of threatening the journalists.
Then last Saturday, armed vehicles were deployed outside the Iran International television studios in London.
There were around seven vehicles outside the studio in Chiswick Park, west London, after "severe and credible" threats were recently made against the two journalists, one of its spokesmen told AFP at the time.
Police confirmed that its officers "are working in response to potential threats projected from Iran against a number of UK-based individuals."
"Whilst we will not be going into detail as to what these are, it does include the presence of overt armed coppers in the vicinity of the west London offices of a UK-based Persian language media company," the force told AFP in a statement.
The channel, which has been airing recent protests in the Middle Eastern nation, has been proscribed as a "terrorist" organization by Iran, but can still be accessed via the Internet.
"The threats against us have escalated as the protests in Iran go on, because we cover them 24/7," said the media outlet’s front man.
He said the presence of armored vehicles was a "massive deterrence" that had "reassured" staff.
"They’ve worked there for five years, they’re used to this. Their families get threatened in Iran," he told AFP.
"Recently in Tehran, there have been wanted posters going up with some of our presenters’ faces on them."
"But the mood is just getting on with it," he said.
Britannia’s domestic spy agency MI5 said last week that Iran wants to kidnap or kill UK-based individuals it deems "enemies of the regime," with at least 10 such plots uncovered so far this year.
Director general Ken McCallum warned in a speech at the agency’s Thames House headquarters that Iran "projects threat to the UK directly, through its aggressive intelligence services".
He said this could include "ambitions to kidnap or even kill British or UK-based individuals perceived as enemies of the regime."

[Iraq News] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... said Monday he was mulling going beyond air strikes and launching a ground operation in Syria following a deadly rocket strike on a Ottoman Turkish border town.
Erdogan also renewed warnings that those attacking The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... will pay dearly, a day after Ankara’s forces launched air raids on bases of outlawed Kurdish groups in northern Syria and Iraq.
"There is no question that this operation be limited to only an aerial operation," Erdogan told news hounds on returning to Turkey from Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... where he attended the FIFA World Cup opening.
"Competent authorities, our defence ministry and chief of staff will together decide the level of force that should be used by our ground forces," Erdogan said.
"We have already warned that we will make those who violate our territory pay," he added.
Erdogan spoke after a rocket strike from Syrian territory killed at least three people, including a child, in a border Ottoman Turkish town.
That strike came a day after Turkey carried out air raids against the bases of Kurdish bad boy groups in northern Syria and Iraq which it said were being used to launch "terrorist" attacks on Ottoman Turkish soil.
The overnight raids mainly targeting positions held by Syrian Kurdish forces in northern and northeastern Syria killed at least 31 people, according to the British-based monitoring group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), among those attacked, said Turkey launched new air strikes on Monday.
The Ottoman Turkish raids, codenamed Operation Claw-Sword, came a week after a blast in central Istanbul killed six people and maimed 81.
— ’70 PLANES AND DRONES’ —
Turkey has blamed that attack on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The blast, the deadliest in five years, revived bitter memories of a wave of nationwide attacks between 2015 and 2017.
The PKK has waged a bloody insurgency there for decades and is designated a terror group by Ankara and its Western allies.
But it has denied involvement in the Istanbul explosion.
Strikes also targeted PKK bases in northern Iraq’s mountainous regions of Kandil, Asos and Hakurk, and bases of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), in Ayn al-Arab (called Kobane in Kurdish), Tal Rifaat, Jazira and Derik regions in Syria, Ankara’s defence ministry said.
Ankara considers the YPG to be a PKK-affiliated terror group.
Erdogan said consultations were ongoing on the strength of Ankara’s military response and added that the weekend strikes were carried out by "70 planes and drones" who "penetrated 140 kilometres (87 miles) into northern Iraq and 20 kilometres into northern Syria."
An SDF spokesperson told AFP that Ottoman Turkish airplanes launched on Monday fresh strikes near Kobani, a claim confirmed by the SOHR. A strike hit a regime forces position, according to the SDF.
Since the rocket attack in the morning, there has been an exchange of artillery fire between Ottoman Turkish forces backed by Syrian proxies and the SDF, according to an AFP correspondent.
Erdogan also revealed he had had "no discussion with (US President Joe) Biden or (Russian President Vladimir) Putin on the subject of the operation."
Turkey’s latest military push could create problems for its complex relations with its Western allies — particularly the United States, which has relied mostly on Syrian Kurdish militia forces in its fight against IS jihadists.
Turkey has often accused Washington of supplying Kurdish forces with weapons.
Russia for its part backs pro-Damascus militia in the region.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Tasneem Haider Shah, a man claiming to be a spokesperson of the Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N), has alleged that the conspiracies to attack former Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five... and the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif were hatched in London, according to sources.
Earlier, video clips from Shah’s presser started doing rounds on social media, which were also shared by the several Pakistain Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.
In the clips, Shah claimed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif ...served two three non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts... was part of the plot to murder slain journalist Arshad Sharif and the attempted liquidation on former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
According to The Siasat Daily, Shah told news hounds he had at least three meetings with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in the office of his son Hassan Nawaz, alleging that he was called to kill the journalist and the former premier.
According to Shah, the first meeting was held on July 8, the second on September 20 and the third on October 29, where he was told Arshad Sharif and Khan should be removed before the appointment of the new army chief.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... Shah added that he refused.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, a new, even louder, voice was to be heard... Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday clarified that Tasneem Haider Shah had no link or anything to do with the ruling party, rejecting startling allegations made by him.
Responding to the allegations, Aurangzeb categorically said that Shah was not the PML-N London branch’s spokesperson and had no relation with the party.
"No one should try to become [the] party spokesperson by force," she said, adding that if Shah had any evidence regarding Arshad Sharif’s murder then he should present it before the forum of the joint investigation team.

[NATIONPK] Pakistain yesterday urged Afghanistan to control attacks into Pak territory as Pakistain reopened Chaman border crossing with neighbouring Afghanistan.
This came a week after an Afghan gunman had martyred a Pak security guard there, forcing a closure of the crossing.
The decision to reopen the Chaman border crossing — also known as Friendship Gate — was taken in a meeting between Pak and Afghan authorities over the weekend.
The crossing was closed on November 13 when a Pak soldier posted at the border was fired upon.
Pakistain contacted the Afghan side and urged them to stop such incidents in future as this could harm the bilateral ties, officials told The Nation.
The Chaman border, situated nearly 120 kilometres to Quetta, is one of the busiest border crossings between the two countries and is used by thousands of people every day.
Earlier, the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... government in Afghanistan condemned the incident and ordered the formation of a fact-finding committee to investigate it.
Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the allegations reported in media that the attacker was a member of the Afghan border forces.
According to the officials, Pakistain told Afghan counterparts that the borders must be made more secure.
"The Afghan side has pledged to ensure more security to stop such incidents in the future," said one official.
On its part, Pakistain has recently removed tariffs and eased visa rules to facilitate trade activities with the conflict-torn country where the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... warns millions of Afghans face acute food shortages.
Islamabad has also dramatically increased Afghan coal imports since the Taliban returned to power, tilting the annual trade balance in favour of Kabul for the first time in the history of bilateral trade.
Pakistain maintains it has no option but to help Afghanistan achieve stability to deter an influx of Afghan refugees and a resurgence of cross-border terrorism.
However, Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried... Foreign Minister Bilawal Baby Bhutto Zardari ...Pak dynastic politician, son of Benazir Bhutto and grandon of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. As far as is known, Bilawal has no particular talents other than being pretty and being able to memorize political slogans, but he had the good luck to be born into the right family and he hasn't been assassinated yet... has reiterated that Islamabad would not formally recognize the Taliban government without global consensus.

[IsraelTimes] Tehran accuses UN atomic energy agency and Western countries of trying to exert ’maximum pressure’ amid two months of nationwide protests in the Islamic Theocratic Republic
Iran ...They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has said it is taking retaliatory measures against the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency over a resolution criticizing Tehran’s lack of cooperation with the nuclear watchdog.
On Thursday, the United States, Britannia, La Belle France and Germany adopted the motion adopted by the UN agency — the second of its kind within six months.
Iran’s foreign ministry front man Nasser Kanani announced a response in comments Sunday night.
"In response to the recent action of three European countries and the United States in the adoption of a resolution against Iran, some initial measures have been decided by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran," he said.
"The implementation of these measures was realized today in the presence of IAEA inspectors in the Natanz and Fordo enrichment complexes," he added, without specifying what the measures entailed.
He also hinted at the likelihood that the IAEA delegation’s next visit to Iran would be canceled.
"The IAEA delegation’s trip to Tehran was approved in the framework of the deal with the agency," Kanani said, adding however that "Iran’s next steps will be taken in accordance with the new conditions."
He nonetheless also said that "the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran is always prepared to respond in the appropriate manner to the actions of Western parties when they return to their commitments."
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had on Saturday condemned the resolution, accusing the four countries of trying to exert "maximum pressure" on Tehran amid two months of nationwide protests in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
The resolution came amid an impasse over undeclared uranium particles in Iran, and as talks seeking to revive Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers have stalled.
The agreement Iran reached with Britannia, China, La Belle France, Germany, Russia and the United States gave Tehran relief from sanctions in return for guarantees it could not develop or acquire an atomic weapon.
The deal collapsed after Washington’s unilateral withdrawal in 2018 under then-president Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... .

In northern Iraq, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) said Iran had targeted it with missiles and suicide drones in Koya and Jejnikan, near Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan.
Party official Ali Boudaghi told AFP that "a member of the peshmerga was killed in an Iranian strike" in the area of Koya.
"These indiscriminate attacks are occurring at a time when the terrorist regime of Iran is unable to stop the ongoing demonstrations in (Iranian) Kurdistan," said the PDKI, the oldest Kurdish party in Iran.
The Iranian Kurdish nationalist group Komala said it was also targeted.

If Israel has a problem, then they can spend their shekels and young men's blood on it. I don't want a single American even getting an infected hangnail due to this. It's not worth it for us.
#4
If only America hadn’t spent so many years preventing Israel from destroying Iran’s nuclear bomb program, as Israel had done to Iraq’s and Syria’s previously. But President had strong opinions about whose side he was on, and so Israel has had to do what it can in terms of computer worms — do you remember the Stuxnet thing? It was said to be a joint project between Israel and America on President George W. Bush’s watch — and assassinating key nuclear scientists, not to mention that shocking Mossad raid that carried off Iran’s entire warehouse archive, all to slow down Iran until an American government is elected who’ll just be willing to just get out of the way and let Israel get on with it.
Nobody is asking America to handle the situation, just to get out of the way. Ditto for South Korea and the Norks, and a few select others.
