1967 L79 Corvette Is An American Driver's Car
[Motorious] One of America’s most prominent sports cars throughout history has been the second generation Corvette. A fine line between raw power and elegant performance drawn in the sands of GM’s golden child brand. Because of how well the cars were built, many of them are still around today Making it a pretty attainable goal for anyone with a passion for automobiles with a little extra money to spend. However there is a lot of information out there and a lot of cars, very few can compare to this particular model. Here’s why you should consider getting behind the wheel.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
South Pole Hits Record Cold November Temperatures
[Daily Skeptic] Extreme cold records continue to tumble at the South Pole. Three recent days — November 16th, 17th and 18th — have recorded a daily record, with the 18th plunging to —45.2°C, compared with —44.7°C on the same day in 1987. The records follow the six-month winter of 2020-21, which was the coldest since records began in 1957. Inexplicably, all these facts and trends have escaped reporting in the mainstream media. The excuse might be that it is just weather, and temperatures have always moved up and down. But the excuse doesn’t seem to apply to the July 19th U.K. high of 40.3°C at RAF Coningsby, recorded at the side of the runway used by after-burning Typhoon jets. This record high has barely been out of the Net Zero headlines ever since.

In fact, anything getting colder barely gets a look-in these days. Arctic sea ice is making a significant, near silent comeback. Summer ice at the end of September covered 4.92 million square kilometres, which was 1.35 million sq kms higher than the 2012 low. Over on land, the Greenland ice sheet may have increased in size over the last year to August 2022. Meanwhile, the zoologist Dr. Susan Crockford has reported that this is the fifth year out of the last seven that enough sea ice has formed along the west coast of Hudson Bay by mid-November for hunting polar bears to be able to head out to the ice, "just as it did in the 1980s".

Of course, it has been a very bad year for climate catastrophists all round. Coral is growing on the Great Barrier Reef with a vengeance, just a few years after journalists and their ’experts’ warned it was likely to disappear. According to the latest satellite data, the global temperature hasn’t moved for over eight years. A little extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has led to significant ’greening’ of the planet, a process that over the last 30 years has undoubtedly reduced world hunger and famine. Sir David Attenborough recently ran a series of six Frozen Planet II green propaganda films featuring a variety of ’modelled’ climate catastrophes. Notable was the claim that all the Arctic summer sea ice could be gone by 2035. In addition, he highlighted a colony of Adelie penguins in western Antarctica, whose numbers were said to have fallen over 40 years from 20,000 to just 400 breeding pairs, apparently due to climate change. Missing from the narrative was the more cheerful news that a colony of 1.5 million Adelies had recently been discovered on the eastern side of the continent.

Since all the recent poster scares are fast disappearing, there is increasing emphasis on ’attributing’ single event bad weather to climate change, or to the climate crisis/emergency/breakdown — the new agitprop words used to disguise the fact that global temperatures, with or without CO2’s help, ran out of steam over two decades ago.

Long-serving Guardian activist Fiona Harvey told a recent edition of the BBC Media Show that writers can be impartial and present the facts, and the facts were that ’scientists’ have told us that we are on a precipice and are facing tipping points that will make the planet uninhabitable. But whose ’facts’ is she reporting? Again, as the Daily Sceptic has shown, the command-and-control Net Zero agenda is driven by politicised science and often derived from flawed climate models, corrupt surface temperature databases and invented weather ’attribution’ stories. When the Guardian quotes ’scientists’, it is often referring to practitioners of observational disciplines such as geography, where modelled ’impact’ predictions are widely promoted.

In the course of her interview, Harvey repeated the debunked untruth that 30% of Pakistan had been inundated as a result of recent monsoon floods. The actual figure in this mountainous country was easily checked from NASA data and was about 8%. Referring to the general narrative around climate change and the need to keep to 1.5°C of warming, she noted that if that didn’t strike you as a story, "you shouldn’t be a journalist". A better story, of course, might be asking who invented the 1.5°C figure in the first place — and why?

Algeria Shuts TV Station After Sex Scene Scandal
[GULISTANNEWSTV] The Audio-visual Regulation Authority (ARAV) “has decided to definitively close the El Adjwaa channel”, APS reported.

Outraged internet users shared images of the scenes widely on social media.

ARAV said the scenes were “offensive and contrary to the values of our society and our religion”.

The channel apologized on Facebook for what it called “a terrible mistake” and bid “farewell” to its viewers.

ARAV last year temporarily shut down the private El Hayet TV after a controversy over Algerian resistance hero Emir Abdelkader.

The Algerian state had a monopoly on broadcasting for five decades following independence from France in 1962. Since the law was changed in 2012, more than 50 private television channels have been created, but only six of them have received temporary approval to open studios in Algeria.

Brazilians protesting election results have their bank accounts frozen
[NewsWars] Protesting President Jair Bolsonaro’s defeat are having their bank accounts frozen. The reports come days after the electoral court ordered the blocking of major social media accounts disputing the results.

Bolsonaro lost to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva last month in a closely contested election by a 49.1% to 50.9% margin.

Following his defeat, thousands of truck drivers parked their vehicles on highways across the country, like what truckers in Canada did to protest Covid measures. The protesters were claiming that the election was stolen.

Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes is cracking down on those doubting the election results.

"Those who by criminal means have been taking part in anti-democratic acts will be treated like criminals," he said after suspending several key Bolsonaro supporters from social media.

Several local news outlets have reported that Moraes has frozen the bank accounts of over 40 people and companies that have been linked with the protests.

While in New York last week, Moraes said that "democracy in Brazil was attacked, but it survived." He added that the trend of doubting election results was started in the US by the right and "spread to Eastern Europe and then to Brazil."

Moraes’s tactics are following the tactics Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau used against civil liberties protesters of the Freedom Convoy — a move that Trudeau is still being investigated over.

World-wide people have been lured in the past 20+ years by the chimera of "convenience" and "ease of transaction (consider your own experience at the grocery store watching the epic flailing for so many using credit cards to get the system to approve a purchase, and the ease of cash transactions). My WallyWorld experience these days is 75% of people use cards for all purchases in person, and in these hard times seeing multiple card use to pay for groceries, or cards and EBT/SNAP debit cards, is a tragic proof of the impact of the deepening recession.

China-Japan-Koreas
China population: which 13 provinces officially shrank in 2021?
[SCMP] China has shone a bit more light on its demographic crisis, with newly released figures showing that more than a third of its provinces saw their populations shrink last year.

The data, outlined in the China Statistical Yearbook 2022, renews discourse over a possible population decline in the world’s most populous nation this year, with concerns of severe economic implications.

Among China’s 31 provincial-level jurisdictions, 13 reported more deaths than births last year.

Those 13 comprised the wealthy regions of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Tianjin; the central provinces of Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan and Hubei; Hebei, Shanxi and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in the north and northwest; and the northeastern rust-belt provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang.

And for at least six of the jurisdictions, the population declines were their first in modern history. This helped drive China’s national birth rate down to 7.52 per 1,000 people in 2021 — the lowest rate since record-keeping began in 1949.

#1  China officially ended its one-child policy on January 1, 2016, signing into law a bill allowing all married couples to have a second child as it attempted to cope with an ageing population and shrinking workforce. In March 2018, the National Health Commission also took over responsibility for population management from the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
Officials said “family planning” would disappear from the ministerial lexicon as China grappled with a shrinking labor pool and ageing population.

Federal Trade Report: Globalization Cripples American Towns as Free Trade Moves Jobs Overseas, Crushes Wages
[Breitbart] Globalization of the United States economy has had a crippling impact on American towns as free trade makes it easier for companies to move production and jobs overseas, a report from the U.S. International Trade Commission details.

The report, which assembled union representatives, economists, and others to discuss the impact of decades-long U.S. free trade policy, was requested by U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and conducted in March and April of this year.

Among other findings, the report found that U.S. free trade policy has allowed companies to more readily move American jobs overseas and keep wages low for jobs that remain in the U.S.

"Participants identified trade policy as the cause of job losses. One union representative noted that trade policies often have loopholes or are manipulated by China and other countries so that the policies are not operating as intended," the report states:

Europe
One Million Fake COVID Tests from China En Route to Germany were Confiscated in Netherlands
[Gateway] On Saturday, the Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (FIOD) in Nijmegen, Netherlands discovered a warehouse stocked with one million fake COVID tests from communist China.

According to NL Times, customs officials requested assistance from FIOD following an intelligence report that a stockpile of counterfeit self-test kits was likely being housed in a warehouse.

FIOD said that the fraudulent coronavirus test kits were manufactured in China and will be shipped to Germany.

The Public Prosecution Service, a unit responsible for investigating fraud and high-stakes seizures, is leading the criminal probe into the shipments.

COVID tests are unreliable and inaccurate, regardless of whether they are fake or certified.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning concerning counterfeit at-home over-the-counter COVID tests.

"The FDA is aware of counterfeit at-home over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 diagnostic tests being distributed or used in the United States. These counterfeit tests should not be used or distributed."

In December 2021, the CDC issued a statement that after December 31, 2021, the CDC would withdraw the emergency use authorization of the PCR test for COVID-19 testing. The CDC finally somehow admitted the test does not differentiate between the flu and COVID virus.

"In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season," CDC wrote.

#1  Federal informants often commit crimes...

Or have committed crimes that were ignored or set aside, as part of a cooperative, quid pro quo arrangement. Other criminal activity is ignored to satisfy the collection requirements of Other Government Agencies (OGA).

There appears to be evidence Mini-Madoff may have provided remuneration to investigators in order to keep the flies away. Little imagination is required to assume Jeffrey Epstein provided clandestine incentives to one or more intelligence communities. The Hunter Biden travels provided a perfect venue for source requirement collection and foreign travel reporting. To assume it did not happen is classic naivety.

Care to take a guess as to how a source such as Hunter Biden might have

Olde Tyme Religion
The Sikhs are fighting the biggest battle of their lives and that is forced conversion to Christianity
Religiously speaking, Christianity is more sophisticated than paganism and Islam, demanding and rewarding a higher level of morality that naturally appeals to seekers. It sounds like Sikhism has the same problem. One can see how they might see this as giving Christianity an unfair advantage. On the other hand, given the numbers involved, the Sikhs might be panicking prematurely...
[OneIndia] Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

is facing today what states such as Tamil Nadu experienced in the 80s and 90s. Today, the largest Church in Punjab has a Sunday mass attended by 100,000 persons, and with a global membership of 300,000.

#1  From the article:
"Christian protesters indulged in violence by pelting stones and burning tyres on the national highway. They gave an ultimatum to the administration to arrest Sikhs who they said had blasphemed against Jesus."

#3  My two rupees. Nothing is however what it first appears to be. Although I'd be the first to defend Christianity, the kind propagated in Punjab with heavy money and muscle behind it is often just cultism and charismatic cults which end up as armed, fortified gangs. There's a lot of land encroachment, extortion, blackmail and even anti-national activism thrown in. Not all the groups though. But the ones that get the biggest tents, the loudest voices and pull the most crowds are invariably trouble.

See, people who quietly join a church, officially convert, get baptized are all okay and it's a fundamental right India fervently protects. It's the distribution of cash for standing in a group and chanting that the government worries about. And this narrative, about Sikhs all running away to churches is a horror for the hindoo populist government. OneIndia is a proper right wing hindu mouthpiece.

Usually these cults record these things, show that vid to the sponsors abroad, and collect moolah, aid for 'spreading the kingdom'. While that is still okay, just everyday chicanery, the populist governments crack down because of the militant locals who see these mass conversions as loss of dominion.

The Sikh religion is as protocol constricted, invasive a system of control as any. With it's own heirarchy of bureaucrats and bitter infighting and politics for offices, salaries and extortion in the name of humanitarian work, it's same old sexist themes and the total enslavement of families by community. Naturally most people in this age of individualism would want to escape it. But the biggest salvation the 'lower caste' Indian sees is from ...well, caste. Which doesn't exist in Christianity. It did not exist in Sikhism either at first but informally crept back in because in the Indian it never really goes away. But in Christianity everything's equalizes, your caste disappears, your class or economic strata becomes insignificant. Which is why it appeals to masses that need reprieve from the Indian class system. Add a layer of 'I am the prophet Jaswinder, second coming of Jeejus!' and you have thousands trapped in madness, and several cults fighting each other for control of huge congregations. And a very apprehensive government jumping at the ghost of European agencies, CIA, maoism, China, khalistanis, whatever. Or just the leftists poaching those constituencies, which is worse for these people. In India, if you control a sizeable mass of people you control votes, and you this gain leverage over the rulers.

Some of the best Christians I know in India are poor Punjabi farmers nobody knows are even Christian. I witnessed the saving of more than a hundred moslems and some of them live in Punjab, under very capable pastors. People who didn't just find a group to mentally support them. Folks actually know Christ now and He I'm sure knows them. Their next generation are all young saints and faithful. Poor Punjabi evangelists were used by Gawd to do that. Not a great big revival thingy with free food and big tents and fancy promises of jobs as church ushers and deacons and scholarships.

I know I didn't do a very good job of explaining. Sorty sorry. I'm not for or against the conversions. I don't care if Sikhism becomes a footnote in history personally. The whole thing should never have become an issue, if the so called Christians were not using the faith as a political crutch.

As for physical aggression between them and Sikhs, I think the Sikhs deserve that for being lawless and trying to institute blasphemy as a new doctrine. Good they got beaten.

#5  I was hoping for a comment from you on the subject, Dron — I find what you said here even more useful than usual. Well done! :-)

The thing about the congregation size is that India has so many people that what would be suspicious here is not necessarily so over there, and I don’t know how to judge. Higher Level Morality raised the point beautifully, so I hope your answer is as satisfying there as it is to me.

#8  Higher level morality, yes. Anything that teaches to treat each other as they want to be treated and puts the fear of a deeply interested GaWD in you, that's always good. Better than tricky Hinduist mumbo jumbo or masochist self flagellation etcetera at least. A lot depends on the intent of preachers themselves I think. But the Lord of course has his ways to get the water of life into the crookedest places to save his own. My own church threw me out, and I don't need the dweebs either. See, I'm rambling again...

US Army tests DRONES to deliver blood and medical supplies in battlefield situations where it's too dangerous to send more soldiers
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The US Army is testing drone delivery of blood and critical medical supplies

  • Dubbed Project Crimson, the military tested out the drones during a recent exercise in California

  • The FVR-90 drone is a vertical landing and take-off aircraft, so it does not need a runway, and it can fly for up to 18 hours carrying up to 22 pounds of payload

  • 'This drone supports medical field care when casualty evacuation isn’t an option,' said Nathan Fisher, who works in medical robotics at the Army

22 bags is a lot of blood.
