[SHABELLENEWS] Ahlu Sunna Waljama administration has accused its rival Galmudug ...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth... state of fueling the ongoing festivities in Herale area in Galgaduud region, which claimed the lives of 20 people.
More than 40 others are said to have been injured after two armed clan militias in central Somalia, clashed in Friday and Saturday.
The two sides reportedly locked horns over control of Herale town in the Galgadud region.
Local media reported relative calm in the area on Saturday after President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo called for immediate ceasefire Friday.
"An ugly war has taken place at Herale over the last several days," said President Farmajo.
"It is intolerable and must be stopped immediately."
Tensions, however, remain high as the two sides are said to have been sending fighters into Herale.
According to reports, residents began fleeing the town last week.
President Farmajo said he would dispatch a fact-finding mission to the area.
Herale is located about 600km north of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The Ahlu Sunna controls large parts of Galgadud--an administrative region in Galmudug State.
The Sufi militia does not recognise the Federal government-backed Galmudug administration and peace talks to resolve the dispute collapsed in April in Mogadishu.

[SHABELLENEWS] The Federal government of Somalia has issued a new measures to prevent Al shabaab from collecting tax funds, to finance its insurgency against the AU and National Army forces.
The announcement was made at a presser in Mogadishu Saturday by Somalia’s Minster of security Mohammed Abukar Dualle, along with Police and Intelligence chiefs.
The chief of the Intelligence & security agency (NISA) Abdullahi Mohammed Ali Sanbalolshe said the government banned businesses from providing financial support for Al shabaab.
"We will hold accountable and confiscate every business center, large or small that provide tax to Al shabaab. The government will not tolerate funding the group," said Dualle.
This is the first warning by the Somali Federal government since it took power in last January, and it is not clear how and when it will come into effect.

[DAWN] European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... leaders and Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros ...the secretive Hungarian born Ernst Stavro Blofeld-like billionaire who seems to fund every horrible progressive organization you can think of... are seeking a "new, mixed, Moslemised Europe," Hungary’s anti-migration prime minister said on Saturday.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban said during a visit to Romania that Hungary’s border fences, supported by other Central European countries, are the barriers to the EU-Soros effort to increase Moslem migration.
Orban also said that while Hungary opposed taking in migrants colonists "who could change the country’s cultural identity," he said that under his leadership Hungary would remain a place where "Western European Christians will always be able to find security."
Orban, who will seek a fourth term as prime minister in April 2018, said Hungary’s opposition parties were no match for his government.
"In the upcoming campaign, first of all we have to confront external powers," Orban said at a cultural festival in Baile Tusnad, Romania. "We have to stand our ground against the Soros mafia network and the Brussels babus bureaucrats. And, during the next nine months, we will have to fight against the media they operate."
Soros has become a key target of Orban and his government. Recent legislation seeks to close or expel the Budapest-based Central European University, founded by Soros in 1991. There are also new rules about non-governmental organizations funded at least partly from abroad. Critics say that the new regulations stigmatise the NGOs, many of which are backed by Soros’ Open Society Foundations, and are meant to delegitimise them.

Because Soros is one of the millions in Europe and USA working toward these particular ends. And not a particularly important one - merely noticeable.

"Turkey is a social democratic state based on the law and no one has the right to interfere in its internal affairs," said Erdogan before leaving on a trip to the Gulf.
Several German nationals are among those being held in Turkey. Berlin has warned its citizens that their safety cannot be guaranteed [in Turkey] and that consular access is not assured in case of arrest.
Throwing away any pretence at diplomatic nuance, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on Thursday had warned German firms against investment in Turkey and spoke of an "overhaul" of the entire relationship.

[Rooters] The number of asylum seekers walking across the U.S. border into Canada rose in June after dropping in the previous two months, according to government figures released on Friday.
There were 884 refugee claimants who crossed the border between formal crossings and were picked up by Royal Canadian Mounted Police last month, bringing the total for the first half of 2017 to 4,345, the data showed.
The vast majority, 88 percent, of June's crossers went to the province of Quebec, a marked contrast from previous months where upwards of 100 a month went to the prairie province of Manitoba.
Many asylum seekers whom Rooters has spoken to said they left the United States because they feared deportation in light of President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's immigration crackdown.
Once in Canada, they are detained and held for questioning and security screening before being allowed to file refugee claims. However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... time spent in the United States may put them at a disadvantage.
The influx of border-crossers is part of a rising number of refugee claimants in Canada, with 2017 on track to have the highest number of claims since at least 2011.
The higher numbers are contributing to worsening delays in refugee hearings.
The Canadian government has resisted calls to stop turning asylum seekers back at land border crossings under the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement, which advocates say is the reason so many are crossing illegally.
This is how you get the Canadian version of Trump, eh?
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The town of Tal Afar, west of Mosul, will most likely be the next target for U.S.-backed Iraqi forces seeking to eliminate Islamic State militants from the country, a spokesperson of the U.S.-led coalition against IS.
Col. Ryan Dillon was quoted by Kurdistan-based website Xendan saying that the IS stronghold will be the next target of operations after the Iraqi government declared earlier this month victory over the militant group in Mosul, its largest bastion in Iraq.
Dillon said the coalition continues to pound IS locations on the outskirts of Kirkuk, another province partially held by the militants, as well as Anbar’s Qaim, on the borders with Syria.
Conflicting speculations concerning the next target have surfaced since victory was declared in Mosul.
Besides Tal Afar, IS still holds some areas in southwestern Kirkuk, western Anbar and areas on the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin.
So far, operations by pro-government militias have isolated Tal Afar from the Syrian borders and from Mosul.
On Sunday, Almaalomah website quoted Nineveh council member, Hossam al-Abbar, saying that Tal Afar was the source of most of the recent breaches by IS militants that targeted western Mosul.
Conflicting statements have been frequent regarding the participation of the Shia-led, government-recognized Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in the liberation of Tal Afar, a town of a mixed Shia Arab and Sunni Turkmen population. Sunni Turkey has pressed Baghdad to exclude the PMFs from the anticipated campaign fearing sectarian twists. PMF leaders have, meanwhile, said occasionally that the government was going to engage them in the battle.

[IsraelTimes] Former Fatah leader Mohammad Dahlan also says UAE set to build new $100 million power plant for Paleostinian coastal enclave.
How will the Palestinians manage to miss the opportunity this time?
An exiled Paleostinian politician who quietly negotiated a power-sharing deal for Gazoo with former arch foe Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", discussed the details for the first time in an interview, saying he expects it to lead to a swift opening of the blockaded territory’s border with Egypt and an easing of crippling power outages.
The Egypt-Gazoo border crossing is expected to open by late August and funding has been secured for a $100 million power plant, Mohammad Dahlan, a former Gazoo security chief, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named in a phone interview from the United Arab Emirates.
[DAWN] The Philippine Congress on Saturday voted to extend President Rodrigo Duterte’s declaration of martial law in the south until the end of the year to defeat Islamist gunnies.
In a special joint session of the House and the Senate, politicians overwhelmingly backed Duterte’s bid to have martial law remain in force in the Mindanao region until December 31.
The vote came as troops continued their two-month long fight to wrest back the southern city of Marawi from the murderous MoslemIslamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group-inspired murderous Moslems.
Duterte first declared martial law in Mindanao on May 23 shortly after the gunnies, waving the black flags of the IS group, occupied parts of Marawi, triggering weeks of bloody fighting.
The vote was largely a foregone conclusion as Duterte enjoy majorities in both houses of Congress.
But opposition politicians dragged out the debate, questioning why martial law was needed for the whole of Mindanao when the fighting was limited to only one city.
"I fear that the plan to extend the martial law in Mindanao will pave the way for a Philippines-wide martial law," said Senator Risa Hontiveros ahead of the vote.

[AlMasdar] A new de-escalation zone agreement was announced yesterday in regards to the East Ghouta pocket. The arrangement was signed-off by the Russian military and Syrian opposition representatives in Cairo.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) also announced that they signed the agreement and will stop all operations in certain parts of East Ghouta starting from today at 12:00 P.M., but nonetheless warned that it would retaliate to any breach of the ceasefire.
The Jaysh Al-Islam militant coalition (the largest rebel faction in the East Ghouta pocket) announced that they signed the de-escalation zone agreement with the hope that it will lead to the end of siege conditions via the entering of food, fuel and other aid into the area, optimistically adding that such actions will lead to a political solution for the Syrian crisis.
It is worth noting that a Syrian military source added that areas of East Ghouta held by the Faylaq al-Rahman Islamist faction and Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) jihadist group are not included in the de-escalation proposal as neither agreed to it and to this end operations against them by pro-government forces will continue.

[MIRROR.CO.UK] Women are burning their burqas and men shaving off their beards in a show of defiance against ISIS after escaping from the terrorist group's stronghold in Syria.
Civilians in Raqqa tore off their traditional dress and set it alight after being liberated from the city on Thursday.
And some of the men immediately began shaving off their facial hair in a move to 'spite' Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... Strict dress codes were implemented by ISIS, requiring women to wear long, black robes over their dresses and cover their faces almost entirely with black burqas.
One woman, who had exposed her face, refusing to wear the veil, said: "They killed my son because he wouldn't pray.
"They didn't allow us to take his body for a whole week."
