[FoxNews] Republican lawmakers say the border is 'not secure' following a trip to El Paso, Texas.
Republicans on the House Select Committee on Intelligence are raising the alarm about "grave" national security threats facing Americans due to the destabilized southern border.
Fox News Digital exclusively interviewed members of the congressional delegation following their law enforcement briefings and line tour along the El Paso, Texas, border with Mexico Friday.
Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, who serves as the ranking member on the committee, said that, counter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' claim earlier this week, the border "is not secure."
"We met with the FBI, the Texas Department of Safety, the Border Patrol. What's clear as we stand here on the border is that the border is not secure. Thousands of people are being apprehended a day, others cannot even be captured. The amount of drugs, even guns, that go across the border, cash, illegal activity, human trafficking. The toll that's happening on people who are crossing this border is extraordinary," Turner told Fox News Digital while standing next to the border wall with Mexico.
"This represents a national security threat. The number of people who are crossing who are not from Mexico, Central America, or even South America is enormous. These individuals are a threat to our national security. Many are from countries that have very questionable purposes when they come here. So our border patrol are overwhelmed. They need assistance. This wall needs to be completed.
"What we heard repeatedly today and yesterday was the portions of the wall that had been built worked. And some areas since the [Biden] administration stopped construction of the wall have gaps in them where wall was being repaired or replaced and those repairs even stopped. So today you have a porous border, you have a great risk to our nation."
The number of terrorists coming across the border poses an "absolute threat and danger" to the U.S., continued Turner.
"You have people who are on the terrorism watch list, people who are known terrorists, there is a threat of them crossing the border. People who have been apprehended fall within those categories," he said. "This represents an absolute threat and danger to our country, and it could be stopped if this border wall was completed. If we gave [Border Patrol] the right resources, we could be able to stop these border crossings and, of course, keep our country safe."
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] after they launched search for girl, 13, who ran 'away with 21-year-old worker'
The accusations date back to a February Amber Alert regarding Eidy Aracely Tzi Coc, a now 13-year-old, who had briefly disappeared from her family's home Coc, who turns 14 this month, and her two brothers, aged 12 and 15, all worked at the plant earlier this year and weren't going to school
Pedro Tzi, Eidy's father, contacted Enterprise police on February 3 after she didn't come home and police issued an amber alert
They also launched a manhunt for Cucul, 21, another Guatemalan migrant and SMART worker around that time with whom Tzi believed she might be
The girl told officers that Cucul was a friend and that they had traveled there to look for more work
Cucul was arrested and later deported
SMART Alabama in Luverne, an automotive parts manufacturer that has supplied parts for Hyundai since 2003, reportedly fired multiple underage workers - some as young as 12 - as publicity around the missing girl's case heated up.
A former employee alleged that as many as 50 underage workers were employed across various shifts when he was working at the plant.

Who is the person in HR who approved the hiring of these children? They don't even have tax numbers, how can they get their paycheck deductions?
Prison time for the executives involved. Of course we all know this is exactly what won't happen. Make employing illegals illegal and the corporations cry out in pain as they strike us.

Unless Hyundai makes unannounced inspections of the SMART (sic) factory, it seems unfair to associate them with this. It didn't happen at their plant (at least as far as this report goes).
Who owns SMART LLC? Why isn't that discussed in the reporting?

Nevermind -- the Daily Mail does do the reporting. It's "majority owned" by Hyundai.
Massive fines for the company, prosecution for those directly involved, and let's see some reporting on who else owned a part of SMART, LLC.

[Breitbart] President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that the administration this year has allowed nearly 1,000 illegal aliens to use arrest warrants and deportation notices as forms of identification to board domestic commercial flights in the United States.
In January, records from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) revealed that not only has the Biden administration been flying border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior but that the individuals are allowed to use arrest warrants and deportation notices as forms of identification to board U.S. flights.
During a hearing on Thursday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) had TSA Administrator David Pekoske confirm that nearly 1,000 illegal aliens since the beginning of the year have been allowed to board U.S. flights with arrest warrants and deportation orders as forms of identification.
“How many individuals have presented TSA with arrest warrants or deportation notices that were permitted to travel in this calendar year?” Hawley asked, to which Pekoske responded “Under 1,000 sir.”
Pekoske also noted that not all illegal aliens presenting arrest warrants and deportation orders at TSA airport checkpoints are subject to screenings involving an airport’s federal security director.
“They have an interview with the [TSA] officers that are on scene at the checkpoint,” Pekoske said. “… they will bring in the federal security director if needed … we aren’t looking if a person is legal or illegal in the country.”
In all of 2021, more than two million border crossers and illegal aliens arrived at the southern border. More than a million border crossers and illegal aliens have been released into the U.S. interior since Biden took office and, last year alone, nearly 45,000 were put on commercial domestic flights and flown into the country, often free of charge.
[AlAhram] An unprecedented rapprochement has occurred between Abdul-Hamid al-Dbeibah and Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... The recent rapprochement between the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul-Hamid al-Dbeibah, and the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar shaped the setting for the meeting of the rival eastern and western military chiefs of staff in the Libyan capital Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... this week.

‘We Consider Boko Haram Terrorists As ‘Government Boys’ As Our Superiors Said Our Duty Is To Catch, Not Harm Them’ – Nigerian Soldier In North-East | Sahara Reporters https://t.co/YiQMXMjg86pic.twitter.com/3HciGAJSdb
[AnNahar] State Prosecutor Ghassan Oueidat has said there are no political backgrounds to the search procedure that Archbishop Mussa al-Hajj had been subjected to in Naqoura, negating that Mussa had been arrested or offended.
"Judge Fadi Akiki has enforced the law," Oueidat told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, in remarks published Friday, as transporting products or money from Israel to Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade... is illegal.
The Patriarch of the Diocese of Haifa and the Maronite Holy Land had been questioned for 12 hours earlier this week upon his return from Israel with large quantities of medicines, foodstuffs and canned goods, in addition to $460,000.
"The funds that he was transporting, around $460,000, are not owned by the church but they rather came from collaborators residing in Israel, the majority of whom work for the enemy in the occupied territories," Akiki said in an interview.
"Transporting products from Israel is prohibited by law," Oueidat said, blaming the politicians who had criticized the move. "Do not attack the judiciary for enforcing a law that you have made," he said. "Amend the law, if you don't want it," he added.
The arrest of al-Hajj had drawn angry reactions from Christian leaders, who considered it "an attack on the Maronite Church".
Earlier this week, Maronite Patriarch Bechara al-Rahi headed an emergency meeting with other Maronite holy mans , condemning al-Hajj's arrest, which they dubbed a "charade", and called for the case to be "closed immediately".
"We demand... the confiscated aid be returned to the archbishop so that it can reach its beneficiaries," they said in a statement.
