The poor darlings. How scary for them, assuming it’s true instead of a play for international sympathy..
[KhaamaPress] Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... ’s Interior Minister in a letter stated that Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) bully boyz are planning to launch attacks targeting senior Taliban leaders, provincial governors, officials and more.
Abdul Mateen Qaneh, Taliban’s spokesperson for the interior ministry on Tuesday, July 11, confirmed the content of the letter but avoided providing further details about the potential threats.
The letter was delivered on July 9 to the Taliban’s police command throughout Afghanistan — stating that ISIS fighters want to target provincial governors, chiefs and civilian leaders of the group in their offices and residential houses by means of suicide kabooms and bombs.
Some senior Taliban members including Mullah Yaqoob, the Acting Defense Minister had traveled to Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... to offer Haj pilgrimage.
Prior to this, a separate letter from the Taliban interior ministry had gone viral on social media, claiming that a group of fighters affiliated with ISIS were planning to enter the country from Pakistain.
Previously, the Taliban had officially underestimated the security threats of ISIS, however, now the de facto authorities of Afghanistan consider ISIS as a major threat than other anti-Taliban groups.
According to Western security officials, the Khorasan branch of ISIS had lost the ability to operate within Afghanistan, but now it seems that ISIS Lions of Islam are trying to target senior Taliban officials via suicide attacks and showcase their abilities.
Killing former Balkh governor, Mohammad Dawood Muzamil and former Deputy Governor of Badakhshan provinces in two separate suicide attacks are clear examples of ISIS fighters’ operations in different parts of the country.
Over the past twenty years, Taliban fighters pursued the same tactic to kill former government officials and political figures, and have always praised its effectiveness.

[Regnum] Sweden's missions in Afghanistan have been suspended. This was announced on July 11 by the representative of the Taliban movement (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation), which came to power in the country in August 2022, Zabiullah Mujahid.
A major loss to the Swedish quality of life, to be sure.
He explained that the reason for this decision was the desecration of the Koran in Sweden.
Of course it is.
"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is suspending all Swedish activity in Afghanistan until they apologize to Muslims for this heinous act," the Twitter post read.
The Taliban also urged other Muslim countries to reconsider their engagement with Stockholm.
As IA Regnum reported , on June 28, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, a 37-year-old immigrant from Iraq held an action to burn the Koran near the cathedral mosque in the center of Stockholm. Earlier, the city police refused to hold the action, justifying it with possible threats against the country and the risk of terrorist attacks. But the organizers appealed to the court, which recognized the decision of law enforcement officers as erroneous. As a result, a demonstration with the burning of the Koran next to the mosque was allowed to be held.
The action aroused the indignation of Islamic countries - in Baghdad, protesters broke into the territory of the Swedish embassy and demanded the expulsion of the ambassador of the kingdom from the country.
On July 5, it became known that the Swedish police received three more applications for religious book burnings. One of the applications was submitted by a woman who wants to burn the Koran at a mosque in Stockholm as soon as possible. The man wished on July 15 to destroy the Torah and the Bible at the Israeli embassy. And a third citizen plans to burn religious texts on July 12 in the city of Helsingborg.
The police have already issued a permit for the rally in Helsingborg in southern Sweden.
Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (DUM) of Russia, called on believers in Sweden to actively condemn "blameless actions" with the burning of sacred religious books. He believes that such actions can lead to very sad consequences, primarily in Sweden itself.

It is interesting how the LSD's & MIC are so focused on supporting Eastern African nations and especially those near the Suez Canal/oil transport routes.
Then, also on a 2nd front, constantly increasing political and military pressure on Israel.

[AlAhram] US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. SOld, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?... thanked his Ottoman Turkish counterpart His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... on Tuesday for his "courage" in dropping opposition to Sweden's entry to NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... At a meeting during the NATO summit in Vilnius, Biden celebrated the conclusion of a major diplomatic push to get Erdogan to stop blocking Sweden's application.
"I want to thank you for your diplomacy and your courage to take that on. And I want to thank you for your leadership," Biden told Erdogan.
Frustration had been mounting in Western capitals at Erdogan's obstruction of Sweden, which required unanimous approval from NATO members in order to complete its entry bid into the alliance, launched, along with Finland, in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine last year.
Biden spoke with Erdogan from Air Force One for nearly an hour on Sunday in a bid to break the impasse and avoid an embarrassing failure at the Vilnius summit. Erdogan abruptly dropped his opposition late Monday on the eve of the NATO get-together.
For months, Erdogan insisted on a crackdown in Sweden against members of Kurdish movements outlawed in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , something the Swedish government says it has now done.
But speculation mounted over what other concessions Turkey extracted to give its green light.
Erdogan had demanded at the last minute that approval for Sweden in NATO would depend on Turkey being able to renew stalled membership talks with the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... Another long-standing demand from Turkey for the purchase of modern US F-16 fighter jets seemed to get a boost in the wake of the decision on Sweden.
Biden's national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, stressed Tuesday that the US president has "been clear and unequivocal for months that he's supported the transfer of F-16s," seeing this as in the interests of NATO.
"He has placed no caveats or conditions on that in his public and private comments over the past few months. And he intends to move forward with that transfer in consultation with Congress."
A US official told AFP that the White House is now "actively engaging" with Congress, where there has been significant opposition to allowing the sale.
Sullivan said "we will work with the Congress on the appropriate timing for getting" the warplanes to Turkey. But he could not "speculate on the precise day it's going to happen."
Although NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson were heavily engaged in the negotiations with Erdogan, Sullivan stressed "significant recent" US involvement.
As for the effort by Erdogan to link Turkey's EU aspirations with the Swedish-NATO question, Sullivan said Biden has "long" supported Turkey entering the European Union.
However, there's more than one way to skin a cat... that would take "discussions of the necessary reforms and steps relative to democratic resilience that every prospective applicant to the European Union goes through."
"So, as far as we're concerned, these issues are not connected," he said.
Hours after The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... agreed to forward to parliament Sweden’s bid to become a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants... member, US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez said he was in talks with the US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. S I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass.... over the US F-16 sales to Turkey.
Menendez, in a brief hallway interview, said that since there was a temporary "lull" in Turkey’s "aggression against its neighbors," he could make a decision about the F-16 sales though he still has concerns about Turkey.
In April, Menendez showed his opposition to the sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey, saying "Turkey has not done enough to be rewarded in this way."
The Biden administration, in January this year, informally notified the Congress of its intention to sell 40 new F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, along with 80 upgrade kits to modernize the Ottoman Turkish Air Force’s existing F-16 fleet.
In February, 29 senators informed US President Joe Biden in a letter that Congress will not support the F-16 sale if Turkey does not stop blocking Sweden and Finland’s entry into NATO.
In April, a $259 million package including avionics software upgrades for Turkey’s current fleet of F-16 fighter aircraft was approved by the US Congress, days after Turkey ratified Finland’s NATO accession and it appeared like it was easing tension with its neighbor Greece, ahead of the Ottoman Turkish elections.
Menendez added in case the US administration could insure that Turkey’s aggression against its neighbors is ceased, "that’s great but there has to be a permanent reality."
He added that there needed to be a way to "beef up Greece’s security" and obtain "assurances about future actions."
Turkey and Greece have been at odds for decades over a number of bilateral disputes, including maritime boundaries in the Mediterranean, overlapping claims to their continental shelves, and the long-running Cyprus dispute.
Since 1974 relations between the two countries have remained tense in the follow of invasion by Ankara of Northern Cyprus which fell to the Ottoman Turkish control. In 2020 tensions went high again after Ankara discovered gas fields off Cyprus. Since then, the Ottoman Turkish President has regularly threatened Greece.
The other dispute began in September 2022, when Turkey accused Greece of obstructing Ottoman Turkish fighter jet from the S-300 air defense system, which is stationed on the island of Crete.
In case of any decision regarding the sales to be taken, Menendez stressed it will be "in the next week."

[An Nahar] Saudi Arabia has deposited $2 billion into Pakistan's central bank, the government said Tuesday, a much-needed financial boost ahead of a critical meeting of the International Monetary Fund on the new bailout package for the cash-strapped South Asian country.
In a video statement, Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the kingdom was making good on its promise to bolster Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves. The infusion is not a loan as such but will shore up the reserves and remain with Pakistan's central bank for at least a year.
The development comes on the eve of the meeting of he IMF's executive board which is expected to approve a new and much-needed $3 billion loan to Pakistan to help the country overcome an economic crisis.
Dar said that with the Saudi deposit, Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves which dropped to $9.6 billion last week — barely enough to pay import bills for a month — have gone up to $11.6. "We thank the Saudi leadership on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan," he said.
He assured the nation that Pakistan would soon return to the path of growth. "God willing, now Pakistan's economy will witness an improvement," Dar said.
Following the announcement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tweeted his "deep gratitude to the leadership and brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" and said the deposit reflects the kingdom's growing confidence in Pakistan's economic turnaround.
"We remain committed to making all necessary efforts to improve Pakistan's economy," Sharif said.
The IMF late in June agreed to provide $3 billion to Pakistan in badly needed relief to bail out the impoverished country's ailing economy — a nine-month agreement that the IMF's executive board is to approve Wednesday at a meeting in the United States. Pakistan also hopes the board will approve the release of a crucial $1.1 billion from the bailout.
Pakistan's economy has faced several heavy blows recently, such as the devastating floods last summer that killed 1,739 people, caused $30 billion in damage and impacted millions of Pakistanis. The country was also hit by an international commodity price spike in the wake of Russia's war in Ukraine.
The bailout deal was originally signed between the IMF and Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2019 and was to expire on June 30 when the new, breakthrough agreement was announced.

[Dawn] The counter-terrorism department has claimed that the bad boy group Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (aka ISIS) is behind the recent assassinations against religious scholars and members of minority groups in the thriving provincial capital.
"The CTD has arrested ISIS affiliate Aminullah and killed another, Zafar, following their encounter with the special patrolling squad, Ababeel Force, in the thriving provincial capital," Additional Inspector General Shaukat Abbas told news hounds here.
He said on June 25, a gunman killed member of the Christian community Mushtaq and fled but he was intercepted by the Ababeel Force on the Ring Road near Garhi Qamardin area.
"As soon as the gunman saw the force, he shot up it injuring three personnel. The force retaliated and killed him," he said.
The official also said the police seized a pistol, a cycle of violence, two SIM cards, a BRT card and an Afghan citizen card carrying the name of Khalid Khan son of Musafir.
Official reveals 15-20 gunnies identified, dept closing in on them
Initial investigation identified the gunman as Zafar, an Afghan national living in the Rasheed Garhi area of the thriving provincial capital. Further investigation, especially leads from Zafar’s mobile phone, helped the CTD arrest Zafar’s father-in-law, Ameenullah, according to senior police officials.
They said that the two gunnies belonged to a network comprising Afghan nationals, who were imprisoned in Pul-e-Charkhi area of Afghanistan.
The officials said around 60 network members, who beat feet from the prison after the Islamic Emirates formed the government in Afghanistan, reportedly entered Pakistain.
They, however, said it was unknown how many of those gunnies were active.
AIG Shaukat Abbas said that assassinations against religious scholars and members of religious minorities began in March.
He said it was a challenging task to "trace the bad boy network and identify its members."
The official said nine people had been targeted since March and they included Sikhs, Christians, and Moslem scholars.
"Scientific methods were adopted, while a pattern was followed connecting the dots. The forensic evidence showed that just one pistol was used in all these attacks," he said.
Mr Abbas said the group comprising 15-20 gunnies had been identified, while the department was close in on it and would bust it soon.
"This is like cleaning your home every day that gets dirty the next day," he said.
The official said a small number of people reported extortion demands to the police.
He said a businessman, who recently came under attack in Hayatabad, had lodged a case with the police after receiving an extortion call on May 1.
Mr Abbas said the case helped Sherlocks trace those behind extortion calls.
He added that multiple calls of that nature were reported in Darra Adamkhel, Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire... and Malakand areas.

The Taliban actually took action to express their distaste — see here — but they’re so often distressingly direct.
[GEO.TV] Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, saying that it had continued under government sanction and with a sense of impunity as the UN rights body debated a contentious motion.
Last month, a person — who migrated from Iraq to Sweden — burned pages of the Holy Quran outside a mosque in Stockholm on the first day of Eid ul Adha, prompting outrage in the Muslim world and condemnation from Pope Francis.
In its response, Pakistan brought a motion seeking a report from the UN rights chief on the topic and calls on states to review their laws and plug gaps that may "impede the prevention and prosecution of acts and advocacy of religious hatred".
The debate highlighted rifts in the UN Human Rights Council between the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a Muslim grouping, and Western members concerned about the motion's implications for free speech and challenges posed to long-held practices in rights protection.
Virtually addressing a session of an urgent debate held by the Human Rights Council on acts of religious hatred, Bilawal called upon the world to stand united against hatred, discrimination, and intolerance, and promote mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance.
“We must see this incitement to hatred, discrimination and attempts to provoke violence. We must join hands in condemning it, we must isolate those who stroke hatred,” he said, adding that these acts were designed to maximise propagating hate.
FM Bilawal said three months ago the first international day to combat Islamophobia was observed where the first-ever session was held to mark the occasion at the UN General Assembly.
The minister remarked the Holy Quran was a spiritual anchor for two billion Muslims. “It is important to understand the deep hurt that the public and premeditated act of Quran’s desecration causes to Muslims."
Terming the desecration of the Holy Quran as an attack on the Muslim faith, Bilawal said the call in the draft text presented before this council for prevention and accountability was reasonable and necessary.

[Eurasian Times] "India doesn’t send commandos to foreign countries to eliminate enemies; there are already people who are always ready to work for us for whatever the reasons or lure," reveals an ex-spy who has long worked for India’s ’dreaded’ intelligence agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing).
There are reasons for RAW to be termed ’dreaded’ after a series of suspicious deaths and killings of terrorists, separatists, and enemies who had long been involved in anti-India activities or responsible for unrest in India in some way or other. "See the list and count the numbers of such killings (or attempts), right from Pakistan to the UK, Canada, and even the US," the ex-spy told EurAsian Times on the condition of anonymity.

A Russian resolution, which proposed a six-month extension for the delivery of humanitarian aid but included new demands, did not receive the necessary nine "yes" votes for approval.

The Biden administration has requested $150 million for the 2024 budget to go toward UNESCO dues and arrears. The plan foresees similar requests for the ensuing years until the full debt of $619 million is paid off.
That makes up a big chunk of UNESCO’s $534 million annual operating budget. Before leaving, the US contributed 22 percent of the agency’s overall funding.
Israel has long accused the United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... of anti-Israel bias. The US previously pulled out of UNESCO under former US president Ronald Reagan’s administration in 1984 because it viewed the agency as mismanaged, corrupt and used to advance Soviet interests. It rejoined in 2003 during George W. Bush’s presidency.

[Rudaw] Two Yazidi sisters have returned to Duhok after they were rescued from Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Sisters Aliya and Base Khalaf were kidnapped by ISIS after the group ran over the Yazidi heartland of Shingal in 2014.
"They will be reunited with their families in Duhok camps as soon as possible," said Hussein Qaidi, head of the Yazidi rescue office. Due to security concerns, the office is not divulging details of the rescue and where they had been held captive.
A brother of the two women spoke to Rudaw. "In our family, both of my sisters were taken captive by ISIS. Aliya is 20 years old and Base is 24," said Muhsin Khalaf.
An estimated 6,417 women and kiddies were taken captive by ISIS, 3,568 of whom have been rescued. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani established the Yazidi rescue office in 2014 to find and return the missing Yazidi women and kiddies.
"We will have more good news in the next few days," Qaidi said, signalling that more women and kiddies may soon return to their loved ones.
In June, six Yazidi women were rescued and returned to Kurdistan Region after being held by ISIS for more than eight years.
In August 2014, ISIS faceless myrmidons seized Shingal and committed genocide against the minority community. More than 400,000 Yazidis fled. The men and older women who were not able to flee were killed. More than 5,000 were buried in mass graves.

Israeli authorities on Tuesday evicted a Paleostinian family from their contested apartment in Jerusalem’s Old City, the family said, capping a decades-long legal battle that has come to symbolize conflicting claims to the holy city.
Left-wing activists say the Ghaith-Sub Laban family’s eviction is part of a wider trend of nationalist Israelis, backed by the government, encroaching on Paleostinian-majority neighborhoods and cementing Israeli control by claiming property in East Jerusalem.

[NPASyria] Ottoman Turkish authorities deported on Monday midnight, 200 Syrians, including women, from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... to Syrian territories under the control of Ottoman Turkish forces and Ottoman Turkish-backed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), in northern Syria.
An exclusive source told North Press that the deportation happened at midnight in consecutive batches through the Bab al-Salamah border crossing near the city of Azaz, northern Aleppo.
The deportation occurred after Ottoman Turkish security forces carried out arrests under the pretext of not completing their identification papers within Ottoman Turkish provinces, in addition to not having Temporary Protection Cards (Kimlik).
Ottoman Turkish authorities, from time to time, arrest Syrians, saying they committed offenses. Then they issue reports against them and deport them to Syria under excuses related to not having necessary legal documents, according to several media reports.
On June 7, the Ottoman Turkish authorities deported 28 Syrians from the city of Reyhanli in Antalya Province to areas in northern Aleppo.
[NPASyria] On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied speculations of planning for an operation against the Syrian government forces and Iran-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The SDF said in a statement, "Recently, some media outlets have circulated misinformation about the movements of our forces in the Deir Ezzor area, and other media have published speculations about potential operations by our forces."
The SDF confirmed that "all information and speculations circulated are incorrect and not based on any factual basis."
The SDF said that its recent action in Deir ez-Zor comes "within the framework of routine military operations to maintain the level of progress in the struggle against ISIS cells and to achieve a better level of security and stability for the people of the region."

[An Nahar] The United States has proposed a solution for the latest border dispute between Israel and Hezbollah, media reports said.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, the proposal is based on Hezbollah’s dismantling of two tents that Israel alleges are in Israeli territory
Agreed...
in return for Israel’s halt of the construction of a security fence in the Ghajar village.
No way in Hell. This is another demand that Israel bare its neck to the Muslim sword — one can see why they might object.
The report said that Hezbollah would agree to the dismantling of the two tents if Israel halted the construction of the wall in Ghajar.
“The escalation chances are surging as time passes, because the Israeli army and security agencies will not stand idly by in the face of Hezbollah’s provocations,” Israel’s Channel 12 added.
[An Nahar] Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh’s four deputies are inclined to resign in the beginning of next week, two weeks before the expiry of Salameh’s term, Central Bank sources said.
“The resignation’s aim is to reduce the burden of responsibility” on them and they will act in caretaker capacity at the Finance Minister’s request pending the appointment of a new governor, the sources told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper in remarks published Tuesday.
“The four deputies will link the caretaker phase to a host of requests related to the Sayrafa platform and legalizing expenditure from the mandatory reserves,” the sources added.

[An Nahar] The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday asked Lebanon’s permanent mission to the United Nations to file a complaint to the U.N. secretary general and U.N. Security Council over Israel’s “annexation of the northern, Lebanese part of the Ghajar village.”
“It represents a blatant and dangerous violation on top of Israel’s daily and continuous violations of Lebanese sovereignty and of Resolution 1701 (2006),” the Ministry said.
It also called for “condemning this premeditated breach of Lebanese sovereignty” and for Israel’s “immediate and unconditional withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territories.”
Israel captured Ghajar from Syria in the 1967 war when it took the Golan Heights. After the Israeli military ended an 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon in 2000, U.N. surveyors split Ghajar between Lebanon and the Israeli-controlled Golan, but Israel reoccupied the northern half during the 34-day war with Hezbollah in 2006.
In recent weeks, Lebanese officials said that Israel has built a wall around the Lebanese part of Ghajar warning that Israel might annex it to the Israeli part of the town.
Hezbollah last week issued a harsh statement calling Israel's works around the Lebanese part of Ghajar as "dangerous" adding that the wall is separating the town "from its natural and historic surroundings in Lebanon."
Almost at the same time that the Hezbollah statement on Ghajar was issued, an anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon near Ghajar — with some fragments landing in Lebanon and others inside Israeli territory. Israel fired shells on the outskirts of the nearby village of Kfarshouba.
Israel and Hezbollah fought a monthlong war in Lebanon in 2006. Late last month, Hezbollah said it shot down an Israel drone flying over a village in southern Lebanon.
Israel considers Hezbollah its most serious immediate threat, estimating it has some 150,000 rockets and missiles aimed at Israel.

[An Nahar] Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil on Tuesday warned that any attempt to appoint a new army chief of staff “in violation of the constitution and through bypassing the Defense Minister will be a real military coup” in the face of which the FPM will not stand idly by.
“If God forbid a president is not elected and a post becomes vacant in the Military Council, there is the principle of seniority and it was implemented in General Security,” Bassil added in a televised address.
“Those keen on the army must respect the law and stop dozens of consensual contracts, seeing as keenness on the institution should be translated into respecting its laws,” Bassil said.
As for the presidential file, the FPM chief said he highly values the French efforts and calls for “continuing them on the basis of helping the Lebanese reach an agreement, not imposing a president on them.”
“Dialogue between the Lebanese is beneficial and we have accordingly devised the presidential priorities paper and discussed it with everyone while saying that the program is more important than the person,” Bassil added.
