[Federalist] The former FBI general counsel who pushed Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story is now working with a left-wing election influencers’ group.
James Baker, also prominent for his role in pushing the FBI’s political persecution of former President Donald Trump for the "Russiagate" hoax, is listed as a member of the National Task Force on Election Crises. The group is a subsidiary of the left-wing Protect Democracy Project, a litigation group formed to oppose Trump’s policies, according to InfluenceWatch.
The task force pushes early and mail-in voting, claims to help prevent "cyber or other attacks by foreign adversaries or domestic disrupters," promotes "pre-canvassing of absentee ballots," seeks to discourage legal election challenges, and advocates for censorship of certain online speech about elections.
WORKING FOR THE REGIME
Baker’s key areas of expertise, according to the group’s website, are "legal and legislative issues," "political violence and intimidation," "foreign and cyber interference," and "election subversion."
Baker certainly knows about "legal issues." While serving as the FBI’s lead counsel, he met with Michael Sussmann — who he later admitted was a "friend" — and who provided "intel" supposedly proving connections between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, a Russian company. Sussmann claimed he was acting on his own behalf, though he was later found to have been working for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

A legal retainer is good for the duration of the legal matter for which it was paid.
Russiagate, Biden Laptop Censorship, Left-Wing Election Network, J6, Mar-a-Lago documents, sexual abuse and defamation case; they are all part of the exact same cancer.
Donald Trump is still in the race, so Baker's checks continue to be mailed.

All these projects start with high hopes. I knew a lawyer that told me after Trump’s election that Trump would never serve because the plan was to impeach him before he was inaugurated. He had bought into Russiagate before I had ever understood what was planned.

[NY Post] A conservative watchdog group hit "Squad" Rep. Ilhan Omar with an ethics complaint Wednesday over an event she took part in last weekend that featured former Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
Khaire stumped for Omar (D-Minn.) and pushed to get out the vote for the congresswoman, which the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) claims may have violated the Federal Elections Campaign Act.
"We are deeply concerned by Ilhan Omar’s illegal campaign rally with the former Prime Minister of Somalia. Omar already has a long history of statements indicating her disdain for America and allegiance to Somalia, but this goes beyond statements," AAF said in a statement.
"Now her campaign has taken action to involve a foreign leader in an American election. She must resign immediately and return every dollar raised for her at this disgraceful rally."
Omar’s campaign counsel David Mitrani quickly fired back, telling The Post, "This ethics complaint is another attempt by the far-right to smear the Congresswoman."
"Congresswoman Omar’s campaign had absolutely no involvement in requesting, coordinating, or facilitating Mr Khaire’s appearance or his comments, and accordingly there was no violation of law," he said.
AAF asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to open an investigation into Omar and cited two possible infractions.
First are accusations that Omar "knowingly" accepted Khaire’s "services" at "her campaign events" which AAF claims went beyond the scope of "the limited volunteer services permitted by a foreign national and involved impermissible decision-making."
Specifically, AAF is alleging that Khaire’s "particularity" in which he engaged in a get-out-the-vote effort for Omar amounted to "prohibited decision-making."
"Support her with your votes, tell your neighbors and friends, and anyone you know to come out and support Ilhan Omar," Khaire said, according to a translation of his remarks cited by AAF in the complaint.
"And knock on every door you can so that she can be re-elected."
Additional footage circulating online showing Khaire huddling with Omar and others while underscoring the importance of her prevailing in the Aug. 13 primary. Khaire also posted a video of his remarks on X.
"I participated in the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the independence and unity of Somalia, which took place in Minneapolis. I gave a speech at the forum to participate in the joy and celebration of this historic event," he wrote, according to Google Translate.
Under federal law, candidates are barred from "knowingly soliciting, accepting, or receiving contributions or donations from foreign nationals."
AAF also alleged that Khaire’s "services" to Omar’s campaign "appear to be compensated by a prohibited source."
[CNN] Justice Department officials will continue to pursue the federal criminal cases against Donald Trump past Election Day, even if he wins, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The plan is due to a view that DOJ rules against charging or prosecuting a sitting president would not kick in until Inauguration Day in January, people familiar with the discussions told The Post.
The Washington Post’s reporting comes a day after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump may claim immunity from criminal prosecution for some of the actions he took at the end of his presidency.
The court’s decision is likely to further delay a trial on the federal election subversion charges brought by special counsel Jack Smith, leaving Trump poised to avoid pre-election trials in the most significant criminal prosecutions he faces after being found guilty in his hush money trial in May. (His sentencing in that trial has been postponed until September in the wake of the court’s ruling.)
Officials who were not part of the special counsel’s deliberations told CNN they believed the long-standing DOJ policy against criminally charging a sitting president does not extend to a president-elect.
The department policy applies to a “sitting president,” the officials told CNN – so even if Trump were to win reelection in November, he could still stand trial before he was inaugurated in January 2025.
A spokesperson for Smith’s office declined to comment to The Post.
Trump also faces dozens of federal charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents. The judge who oversees that case, also brought by Smith, indefinitely postponed the trial in May, citing significant issues around classified evidence that would need to be worked out before the case goes to a jury. If former acting AG Matt Whitaker becomes the AG, things make take a far different course at DoJ.

I love it - they're practically begging Trump to nuke the place.
WHEN Trump wins, the only question will be, will the DC Swamp allow him to take office.
Because WHEN he does, many will see TRUMP quickly pull the toilet handle, flushing DC agencies flushed of the Anti-constitutional 5th column implanted there since 2008+

The whole Russiagate ploy is not going to work this time. There is no leverage against Trump regarding impeachment. He has free rein to clean house at DOJ. Clarence Thomas has even included verbiage in the immunity ruling that Jack Smith was illegitimately appointed. The scam ends at inauguration unless they have the good sense to end it sooner. Based on a preponderance of evidence, they don’t have good sense.

/\ Concur! DoJ must be the starting point. The new Attorney General must have a free hand.
The border challenge will be the second issue undertaken, quickly followed by the re-activation of the 2650 mile Keystone Pipeline System. An end to the senseless moratorium on oil well drilling will likely produce an immediate impact on the economy.
Four items or issues that will begin to change the direction of the Ship of State.

I want to see these J6 people get pardoned and given good gov't jobs. Forest Ranger, Park Ranger, VA advisor, Game Warden, Department of the Army-Navy-USMC civilian employee, letter carrier, whatever is available. Sign on bonus as well. Perhaps a new F-150 and a Glock.
No more gestapo, Tramp Rally, Ashley Babbitt, or WACO entrapment BS. Find Ray Epps and the fake bomber and make them cough up the entire story.
[Washington Examiner] Democratic governors are backing President Joe Biden after they convened a sudden meeting to share concerns and assess the party’s future with Biden as its leader.
On Wednesday evening, every Democratic governor across the country, except for Gov. Tony Evers (D-WI), met in person at the White House or virtually as concerns in the Democratic Party grow that the 81-year-old commander in chief’s mental state is compromised.
In remarks to reporters following the meeting, Govs. Wes Moore (D-MD), Tim Walz (D-MN), and Kathy Hochul (D-NY) expressed confidence in the president’s ability to lead the party.

Newsom will run in 2028. He needs a Trump economy to fix his state for campaign viability. He will still lose. The SF poo map is as deadly for him as animal cruelty is for Noem.

Besoeker, When does Cankles let Cackles know? And will it be on pay per view?
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] President Biden plans to hold a meeting with Democratic governors Wednesday, CBS News has learned, as the White House and his reelection campaign work to shore up support for him after last week’s shaky debate performance.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the chair of the Democratic Governors Association, will be at the White House for the meeting. Some governors plan to attend in person, while others will attend virtually.
...The meeting with governors is notable because up until this point, it’s mostly been Mr. Biden’s top aides and advisers who have been reaching out to elected Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... to reassure them after his debate performance. Members of the Democratic Governors’ Association held a call Monday to discuss the ongoing response to last week’s debate and a widespread concern among the state chief executives that Mr. Biden has done little outreach to governors, specifically over the course of the campaign year, according to two people familiar with arrangements for the call.
The Biden campaign had been trying to arrange time for Vice President Harris to speak with governors, but the governors decided Monday they wanted to hear directly from the president.
"They’d like to hear from him directly before going and sticking out their necks for him again," said one of the people familiar with the plan, granted anonymity to speak frankly about them.
Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... , widely considered a candidate to replace Biden on the ticket, will attend:

So will the WH be announcing new Voter Fraud processes and DOJ cover tactics?
#2
If the meeting was successful, all the governors would have emerged and announced that Joe underperformed at the debate because he was doing all-nighters to cram for defending his doctoral dissertation on foreign policy and civil rights. That didn’t happen. Neither did staffer leaks that he had told them he was dropping out. The meeting was a mediocre show akin to a Kathy Griffin comedy special on TNT.

Meeting took place yesterday. Eight attended in person, 14 by video.
They all came out mouthing the 'We are in it for Joe' line.
I heard one pundit say, 'like riding an old horse all the way to the glue factory'.

Allegory of the Emperor's Clothes
How do you operate when you can't deal with truth.
[TOWNHALL] I know he left Fox News amid controversy. Still, what Bill O’Reilly told Glenn Beck does dovetail with other reports about the Biden family and close advisers discussing 2024 with the president in the aftermath of a brutal debate performance against Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... . The former president drove over Biden with a tank in what was probably the easiest debate for Trump in his short, meteoric political career. The Camp David gathering ended with Joe being urged by his arguably psychopathic family to remain in the race: Jill wants to cling to power like Lady Macbeth. At the same time, Hunter needs daddy to stay in office to keep the government influencing scheme alive. Remember, Hunter has mountains of legal bills to pay.
Yet, there were reportedly other voices that O’Reilly mentioned who were also in the ’just drop out’ camp, one of which was former President Barack Obama My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it... . Obama and former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain were brutal in their assessment of the president’s standing in the race, saying that he had zero shot at winning and remaining in this contest is akin to assisting evil.

Jill and Hunter are keeping Joe in. They understand that backing out of re-election is step one and step two is getting bounced out of the White House early. Joe has no chance. All of the replacements floated would have to go hard left to excite the base. Usually, that is done in the primaries. That will seal the swing states against them like a coffin.

[REDSTATE] A senior re-election campaign official for President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... announced that editorial boards and editorial writers are guilty of election influencing or interference during an MSNBC interview on Monday. Former Atlanta Mayor, now senior campaign advisor to Biden, Keisha Lance Bottoms lambasted editorial boards, accusing them of "influencing an election" by writing negatively about Biden.
Bottoms was specifically lashing out at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's editorial board when they criticized President Biden's debate performance and opined that he should step down as a candidate.
Bottoms falsely claimed that editorial boards like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution must "honor fair elections" and thinks that any criticism of Biden is somehow not honoring fair elections and is influencing or interfering in this upcoming election.
"Let me just say I was very disappointed with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution," she said. "We have talked about making sure we're protecting elections and making sure there's no undue influence, this was undue influence by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution or an attempt to influence."
Bottoms' comments seemingly show a growing concern in the Biden campaign that the media is no longer running cover for her boss after what the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote in their editorial regarding the debate and Biden's performance.
"This wasn't a bad night. It was confirmation of the worst fears of some of Biden's most ardent supporters. Biden deserves a better exit in public life than the one he endured when he shuffled off the stage on Thursday night."
MSNBC's Chris Jansing attempted to push back on Bottoms' comments by asking her if that wasn't the role of the editorial staff, or editorials in general, to criticize politicians and their performances, to which Bottoms made her out-of-this-world comments regarding the supposed requirement of the editorial boards never to criticize her boss.
Bottoms' comments are just another example of the Biden election team trying to run cover for Biden after his unmitigated disaster of a debate performance against Former President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... . In the days since the debate, more and more members of the media, notably from the networks that are typically supportive, or at the very least, soft on Biden, have been raising serious questions and alarms about Biden's abilities or lack thereof.
