#6 We had a Zwetschgen (prune plum) tree in the back garden of our house in Bad Soden, in the Taunus hills above Frankfurt. It yielded an awful lot of rotting fallen fruit swarmed by hornets too drunk on on fruit to fly… and just drunk enough to sting the trailing daughters almost daily when they passed it to play in the sandbox. I never did get enough not-rotten fruit to bake with.
