[HotAir] By this time, you’ve probably already seen the video of an Atlanta police officer shooting and killing Rayshard Brooks in the parking lot of a local Wendy’s restaurant on Friday night. (You can view the video at this link from NBC News.) The shooting looks to me as if it should have been entirely preventable, as I’ll discuss below, but the official response to it has also been troubling, though for different reasons. Not even a day later, the officer who shot Brooks had been fired and the Police Chief had resigned. Saturday night, rioters burned the Wendy’s restaurant to the ground. And then, not even two full days later, authorities ruled the shooting to be a homicide.

These days, it wouldn't matter if Rayshard Brooks had an AK-47 shooting on full auto. People would still riot when he got shot. They're just looking for an excuse.

Wasn't Brooks a criminal ? Shouldn't he have been shot ? I think every criminal trying to resist arrest should be just shot. If the shooting was preventable, it was only Brooks who could've prevented it.
I was arrested once. Aggressively patted down and pushed about. I didn't mind. The Bombay police grunt was just doing his job. You only mind if you're an enemy of State.

If this sort of trend continues, things are going to go very bad. Yeah, it may kill some cops and people 'legally' get away with it cause "it's wrong to arrest people", WILL lead to unofficial retaliation. I suspect that while there may not be justice in that game, you might see some hard applied karma.
#4
It has gotten so bad that I don't believe the "official" announcement because the NYPD may just cover up the wrongdoing on the order of higher officialdom. We've been gaslighted so many times who can you trust.

It used to be cops went to "cop bars." Going to see cop restaurants and surprise, surprise, the return of segregation as hated whitey has to take sensible precautions for his / her own sake.

Julian Keen Jr, 30, was off-duty at the time of shooting, Fox 13 reported.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene early Sunday morning in LaBelle – about 55 miles northeast of Cape Coral -- and found Keen, the Hendry County Sheriff’s office said.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter that Keen was killed while “taking action off-duty on a hit and run crash.”
Sheriff Russ Gibson & OCSO stand with the residents of the State of Florida as we mourn the loss of Officer Julian Keen from the Florida Fish and Wildlife, who lost his life early this morning in Southwest Florida while reportedly taking action off-duty on a hit and run crash.
Three suspects were in custody and under investigation. No additional information was provided.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of FWC Officer Keen,” Hendry County Sheriff Steven Whidden said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, members of FWC, friends and community. “We will do everything we can to bring about justice to those guilty in his shooting death”. Whidden continued, “We all knew Officer Keen, and he wasn’t only our brother-but a role model for the community, he will be missed.”

[Jpost] The mayor said unprecedented incidents had taken place and videos show "armies" of young men with baseball bats fighting.
Another tweeted video at the link.
La Belle France, which has been rocked by its own anti-racism protests and also anger over discrimination against migrant communities in Gay Paree suburbs, now reports a gangland war that turned the city of Dijon into a battleground over the last few days. Reports now indicate the dispatch of special police units to the city to deal with "dozens of Chechens" who have clashed with other communities.
Le Monde reported on Monday that hundreds of police were rushed to Dijon. The city is several hours southeast of Gay Paree. The mayor said unprecedented incidents had taken place and videos show "armies" of young men with baseball bats fighting. In one video a car flips over like a scene from a film. According to one report Chechens from "all over La Belle France" had come to the city to battle "drug pushers." Why? The reports in French say that a 16-year old member of the community was assaulted. Over fifty Chechens came to the city to defend their community and seek justice.
Gunshots reportedly injured one man who runs a pizza place. Three different waves of Chechen young men descended on the city, in reports that read more like something out of battles in the Wild West than La Belle France in 2020, with lurid tales of "two hundred Chechens" gathering. One man was quoted in local media as saying Chechens came from all over Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... to seek vengeance for the harm done to the teenager, even from Germany and Belgium. "We never intended to ransack the city," he said. City officials have condemned the attempted murder and organized gangs.
According to video on Monday the Interior Ministry sent its special RAID police unit to the city. Videos posted online called the city a "warzone" with what were either allegedly gun shots or firecrackers ringing out and smoke from a fire burning. Video claimed to show "heavily armed militias" in the city, with men brandishing an AK-47 and a large pistol. It appears some French media want to downplay the violence and not mention it, with most of the harshest videos appearing online. In one video at least a dozen men brandish weapons. Commentators suggested the youth in the videos were of North African origins and members of gangs who the Chechens were searching out.
Many who posted videos from the streets expressed shock the large number of rifles and weapons visible in a continent like Europe where there is supposed to be gun control. The absence of police and law enforcement was also seen as concerning. Lack of media coverage also led many wondering why western media doesn’t seem to cover violence in the streets. Anti-immigrant sentiment and remarks about “this looks more like Syria,” were common on social media. It was difficult to confirm all the videos, some of which showed shocking scenes of gunfire at night in the city, and the lack of media on the ground leaves many questions about what happened in Dijon over the last several days. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed to take down no statues in the wake of protests in other countries that saw historic statues removed.

[BIZPACREVIEW] "Autonomous zones" cropping up around the country appear to be Occupy Wall Street redux, only with a different cause than the 2011 campaign — both share one common element, that being a left-wing maneuver leading up to a presidential election.
With the People’s Republic of Seattle setting the tone, progressive zealots in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... gave it the old college try, though you could say they are making a mess of it.
A group of students began protesting Friday against the University of Chicago Police Department at its headquarters, calling for the abolishment of the department.
That the so-called protest comes exactly one week after Chicago saw the most violent weekend in modern history, with 85 people shot and 24 killed, with nary a ripple from residents, only confirms that post-Obama America is one strange place.
As noted by 14 East Magazine’s Grace Del Vecchio, while some students have gathered outside, others went inside to occupy police headquarters. Unfortunately, their staying power would prove to as waning as their ability to hold it.
Having a true grasp on American history may be a lost art on college campuses, but the protesters did prove that counting remains a strong point.
According to Urban Dictionary, "F*ck 12" is a play on the old TV show Adam-12, and means "f*ck the police." There’s also rap song by that name.
But those inside "are still not allowed to use the bathroom and no one is allowed to give them food/water," Del Vecchio tweeted.
The students want officers disarmed of guns and non-lethal weapons and an ultimate plan to disband the department by 2022, The Hyde Park Herald reported.
According to one of the organizers, they want to replace law enforcement with "investment in genuine care — student counseling, services that genuinely make this community more inclusive and more safe for everyone, not just an illusion of safety that excludes some people."
"The history of the University of Chicago Police Department has revolved around making the campus a place that’s hostile to people who live on the South Side, hostile to community members," organizer Livia Miller, a sophomore and spokeswoman for UChicago Student Action, told the newspaper.
"And as we’re seeing right now across the country, the way that police forces have been used to systematically target some people is just not working anymore," Miller continued. "And I think abolition starts on our own campus."

[Rudaw] Warplanes launched multiple strikes in northern Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to target the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the Ottoman Turkish Defense Ministry announced early Monday morning.
Dubbed Operation Claw-Eagle, the air campaign is being personally directed by Defense Minister Hulusi Akar. "Our planes are bringing the caves down on the terrorists' heads," the Ottoman Turkish Defence Ministry said on Twitter.
Suspected PKK locations were targeted in Shingal in Nineveh province, and Makhmour, Qarachogh, Mount Qandil, Khuakurk, and Zap across the Kurdistan Region. Fires brokes out across Shingal and other areas as a result of the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s.
The airstrikes hit a total of 81 targets, including "shelters and caves" according to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... 's Defence Ministry.
"The operation has been launched in order to ensure the security of the Ottoman Turkish people and the country's borders by neutralizing the PKK and other terrorist organizations that have been stepping up harassment and attack attempts against the police and military bases," it added.
PKK-linked Firat News Agency claimed the strikes targeted a refugee camp and a hospital.
"The Ottoman Turkish state has launched a wave of air raids in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq tonight. The strikes targeted several positions in the regions of Qandil, Maxmur (Makhmour) and Shengal (Sinjar), including a refugee camp and hospital," it said.
Makhmour camp hosts more than 12,000 Kurdish refugees who have fled persecution by the Ottoman Turkish state, largely in the 1990s. The camp has a governing council and an armed force, the Makhmour Protection Units, established in 2014 when Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) bully boyz attacked the area. The units are believed to have ties to the PKK.
Bedran Pirani, co-mayor of the Makhmour Camp Municipality, told Rudaw that strikes near the camp left several children unconscious, who were then rushed to hospital.
"The airstrikes lasted an hour from 12:10am to 01:10am. They were a large number of unmanned drones and jets hovering overhead," Pirani said.
"The airstrikes was just 50 to 100 meters east of the camp," he said, adding the strikes caused "massive" material damage to the camp surroundings.
The PKK released a statement on Monday, claiming that they suffered no losses in the airstrikes.
"Our forces do not have any activities in these areas," said the PKK, referring to Makhmour and Shingal, reported the ANF "They [attacks] will be responded in the most severe way."
Regarding the airstrikes in Zap, Avasin and Khuakurk, the PKK claimed that none of its fighters were killed there.
The PKK-affiliated Shingal Resistance® Units (YPS) confirms that six of their positions were targeted by Ottoman Turkish airstrikes, adding that four of their fighters were maimed.
Ihsan Chalabani, mayor of Sidakan, northeast of Erbil, said airstrikes targeting Mount Bradost did not kill any civilians.
Reacting to multiple strikes against suspected PKK bases in Shingal, Yezidi activist and Nobel laureate Nadia Murad described her hometown "a war zone."
"Over 150 Yazidi families had just returned to their homes. When will [the Iraqi Government] and the international community apply some courage and political will to resolving security challenges in Sinjar?" Murad tweeted.
Sinune Mayor Naif Saedo confirmed to Rudaw that the strikes maimed at least three members of the Shingal Protection Units, a PKK-affiliated group operating in the area.
One Yezidi living near Mount Shingal told Rudaw the strikes terrified their children but did not result in any casualties.
"Thanks to God, the airstrikes have not caused any human losses among us," the man said.
Turkey regularly carries out airstrikes and ground operations against suspected PKK positions inside the Kurdistan Region.

[Jpost] This is the first rocket fired from Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... since May 6.
The IDF struck multiple targets in the Gaza Strip on Monday night after a rocket fired from the Strip landed in an open area in southern Israel earlier in the evening.
Airstrikes and tank fire targeted multiple sites in areas near Rafiah and Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The IDF confirmed that Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s had targeted infrastructure used for underground operations by Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, and that tanks had targeted military posts used by the terror group.
Earlier in the evening, one rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip into the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel. As the rocket fell in an open area, no sirens were sounded and an alert was only issued in the open area.No group grabbed credit for the rocket fire as of Tuesday morning.
This is the first rocket fired from Gaza since May 6. The rocket fire comes amid heightened tensions concerning the planned annexation of parts of the West Bank and as turbans in the Strip renewed launches of incendiary and explosive balloons last week.
Earlier on Monday, a Lebanese newspaper reported that Gaza turbans had agreed to halt the balloon launches after millions of dollars in Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i funds were approved to be transferred to the Strip. Qatari officials later stated that the funds had already been approved and would be delivered this week or next week.
Additionally, Hamas announced on Monday the launching of "activities to confront the annexation project," a reference to Israel’s intention to extend illusory sovereignty to parts of the West Bank.
According to the military, an IDF aircraft bombed "underground infrastructure" belonging to the terror group near the city of Khan Younis, causing large explosions.
In addition, the IDF said its tanks bombed a number of Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, observation posts near the border, east of Rafah.
The exchange came amid rising tensions between Israel and terror groups in the Strip, including threats of military action by the latter, apparently over delays in the transfer of Qatari aid money to Gazoo, as well as the Israeli government’s plans to annex portions of the West Bank.
On Monday morning, a Lebanese newspaper reported that Israel had agreed to allow in $50 million in Qatari aid money to the Gaza Strip. In turn, terror groups in the Strip agreed to halt the balloon attacks.

Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
