#3  No massive cramp? Years of practice to develop the muscles, Chesney Phavitch9529, same as anything else. It also helps to be an ectomorph, so there is less weight to hold aloft. --Tech & Moderator Notes
New Category: PC Follies
We’re doing a little reorganizing, guys, as the situation out there has changed. Home Front: Culture Wars is gone, and Fred has given us PC Follies instead.

Here’s how we see reorganizing things:

The thing we would call PC Follies they mean in deadly earnest, another volley aiming to break down the shield wall so they can charge through. But given that so much of what previously went into Culture Wars is now under Fifth Column, the intent is to break out the major violence from minor side issues.

Anti-Jewish stuff is Fifth Column. Same with the Moslem Colonists — they're trying to tear down the country. BLM and Antifa actions continue in Fifth Column, while pretending not to notice what they are would be PC Follies.

Feral Yoots is mostly Lurid Crime.

Land of the Free is for all of us asserting our rights, not just 2nd Amendment.

Government for hirings and firings at all levels.

Thank you all for the articles you submit to this group project, for your snark and analysis and good fellowship. The current nonsense, too, shall pass.

#10  I'm not sure whether a lot of Fifth Column shouldn't be renamed to Home Front: Brownshirts.

I think it's one of those things that defies easy categorization.

I was thinking yesterday that if The Noble Innocent Horst Wessel hadn't been executed by the commies in 1930, he might have been killed in 1934 during the night of the long knives....

Afghanistan
5 ANDSF Killed in Kunduz Attack: Source
[ToloNewd] At least five security forces were killed and seven others were maimed in a Taliban
...Arabic for students...
attack in northern Kunduz province on Tuesday night, a security source said on Wednesday.

The attack took place in the Talooka area in Kunduz city, as a group of Taliban attacked security checkpoints, said the source, adding that "the Taliban stole two Humvee vehicles."

"The festivities were ongoing into the early hours of Wednesday morning," he said. "There are no reports of Taliban casualties in the attack."

Neither security officials nor Taliban have yet commented on the attack.

New figures by security institutions reveal that 171 personnel of the Afghan cops bit the dust in festivities with the Taliban in a week, despite an unannounced ceasefire between the two sides that is part of the peace efforts by the Afghan government and its international partners.

250 others were maimed in the festivities, according to the numbers.

The data also shows that 222 attacks were carried out by the Taliban in 29 provinces during the week.

"Five Taliban were also killed and 10 others were maimed in the festivities," he said, adding that "the Taliban have taken four security force members captive and also stole a humvee."

"Two other vehicles were destroyed in the attack," he added.

Fifth Column
Raging mob of protesters violently attack, threaten to kill man until he pulls out his gun
More details about this story from yesterday and the day before.
[BIZPACREVIEW] As seen in a viral video, a man is beating a hasty retreat from a left-wing protest at a monument of conquistador Juan de Oñate — the mob was calling for the statue to be removed, and began to take matters into their own hands with a pickax, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

This being a fair representation of the left-wing chaos in American streets today.

Members of the armed New Mexico Civil Guard, a civilian group, tried to protect the monument, intervening when the pickax was deployed, the newspaper reported — why local police were not involved is another question.

The man was reportedly among those trying to protect the statue, though its not clear if he is a member of the group.

There is absolute pandemonium in the street, as young protesters scream and try to pull the statue down. The man, later identified as 31-year-old Stephen Ray Baca, can be seen getting struck by a skateboard and retreating into the street.

The mob pursued Baca, who appears to be holding a handgun, as he steadily retreats backwards, facing his assailants.

After creating a little distance between the mob, Bacca turns and continues to move away. He’s clearly leaving the area, but when Bacca turned his back on the mob, they pounced.

He’s attacked and thrown to the ground as three or four thugs engage — according to the Journal, the man initially tried to keep the mob at bay with a can of pepper spray.

"We’re going to f**king kill you!" someone is heard screaming.

Seconds later shots ring out and the mob scampers away, leaving one maimed man behind.

The civilian guard is then seen securing a perimeter around the man who fired his weapon, as they awaited police to arrive.

#7  Shooting charge dropped against suspected New Mexico shooter

Finally, some sense. From Skidmark’s second article:

Bernalillo County District Attorney Raúl Torrez said he had serious concerns an initial police investigation into the Monday shooting did not identify who owned multiple weapons collected at the scene, including knives, nor interview key bystanders and police.

Torrez dropped an initial aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charge against Steven Baca, 31, after images emerged online showing protester Scott Williams, 39, holding what was rumored to be a knife before he was allegedly shot by Baca. Torrez said he expected Baca to claim self defense in the case.

I note the plural on knives, and look forward to DA Torrez, who also has such an evocative name in this situation, presenting charges against Mr. Williams for a number of things that carry long prison sentences.

Tribalism is such wonderful fun until it turns out one is in exactly the wrong one for the situation...

#1  The Russians respect strength. Between the two Asian tigers, it still remains to be seen which one is more paper than tiger. It makes no strategic sense to aid cowards and losers in their fights.

#4  Pakistain projection was very effective until the ISI was not locally overruled by the Jama'ats they thought they controlled. That's what comes from using religious proxies to do the job of soldiers and assets. The ISI still had class, and was respected in most South Asian countries, especially the muslim ones. They solved problems for Presidents, and provided muscle to businesses against foreign enterprises. They even kept the local underworlds in discipline.

China shoved them all in the back seat, making their military and foreign agencies errand boys, shutting down some of their activities to keep favour with the UN. The Imraan govt and his military masters aren't in the game to make Pakistain something mighty anymore. They're all just managers of a business enterprise now.

As for India, its military is a caged lion, frustrated, itching to go. The pols have purposely kept it caged and neutered, because it could rapidly start solving all that's wrong in Asia, if let loose. It would hamper criminal enteprises and corruption across all Asia and that's not good for businesses, banking and the pols, who feed off businesses. An unbridled military in India is rightly feared by the pols to be capable of taking over and making India great again.

As long as it doesn't threaten their own domain, the Indian polity is content in letting a few grunts die and letting the chinese and pakis play around. We know that any money spent on muslims, any wells dug and projects built in islamic bizarro land, is a huge gamble. If our real estate, or the credibility of the leaders itself is threatened... they'll let the dogs loose. Russia knows this. They also know that then we won't need anybody's help.

#15  Skidmark, insults carry across well too. They echo back and forth in the mountains and are inescapable by the grunts. The intelligence has to be good of course. Sampler:

"Major Tong ! Does your mother still take in fish sellers to feed the family, you slimy cunt ?!"

"Ha Ha ! You bastard Major Chandra ! I was born in a vat ! Bot you were born in a hovel !!"

"Phukk you, you slant eyed, bat eater !"

"You drink urine and eat dung !"

"You have a sister named Dung ! Ha !"

Imagine a few hours of this, then the bricks begin to fly. I am not shitting you. I have seen men on both sides snigger at the rants received by their COs, and the amazing intel that must've gone into them.

#17  Seems like it would be easy to cut off any ground supply lines. I just don't see much of an advantage to China in this.

If Xi gets going, I fully expect the Chinese military to not stop until it gets beyond the wastelands that are currently being contested. Whether it *can* get beyond those wastelands is a question that will be answered only in retrospect. Can the Chinese land a division in the Indian units' rear, cut the Indians off and protect and supply air-dropped Chinese forces from the air? That's not apparent yet. While this move would likely elicit a furious Indian response, the question is what anybody else would do about it. Would Trump jump in with US air assets? Does Xi think Trump would jump in? Iran and Turkey conduct military operations in Haji Omaran for second day straight: officials
[Rudaw] A second day of Iranian shelling, as well as Ottoman Turkish drone flight, was reported over the area of Alana in Erbil province's Haji Omaran district bordering Iran, local officials and witnesses said on Wednesday, after media outlets close to the Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. agreed to jointly fight what they called Kurdistan Region-based cross-border "terrorism".

"The artillery shelling started at 9:05 am, lasting for 15 minutes and hitting the area ten times," Alana village resident Maasuma Hamad Amin told Rudaw. "The bombing has sparked fear among locals."

Footage submitted by Amin purportedly shows the very moment Iranian artillery shelling struck the mountainous border area.

According to Haji Omaran mayor Farzang Ahmed, Iranian shelling is specifically targeting Alana's Baraskan heights.

Due to the shelling, "nomadic families have fled the region," Ahmed said, adding that the damage it has caused is not yet known.

Local authorities have established a committee of "civil defense, medical teams and police, in order to be on alert in case of injuries and any possible fire," Ahmed said.

According to another local official, Iranian shelling is occurring at the same time as Ottoman Turkish operation in the area. Turkey launched a major air operation against suspected Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) positions in the Kurdistan Region on Monday, followed by a ground operation in the Haftanin area of the Kurdistan Region in the early hours of Wednesday.

"Ottoman Turkish unmanned drones are spotted hovering overhead at the same time," Alana village chieftain Abdulla Hussein said.

The area has previously been subject to Iranian artillery shelling that targets Iranian Kurdish opposition groups nestled in the Kurdistan Region-Iran border area. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has called on Iranian Kurdish gangs not to launch attacks against neighboring countries from Kurdistan Region territory.

Though official Iranian state outlets have not yet said anything about the shelling, it has been reported by platforms affiliated by the IRGC, who say it is targeting Kurdish guerilla groups.

"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has shelled positions of groups of PJAK and PKK in northern Iraq. In these attacks the areas of Alana Valley, Keli Ghazal and Barda Soran near the border area of Haji Omaran were targeted by the artillery of the IRGC," reported the IRGC-affiliated ISWNEWS.

"It is reported that hours before the [IRGC strikes] the Ottoman Turkish jets bombed the same area, however official sources have not confirmed the joint operation of the two countries," the ISWNEWS report added.

Bita Wan, a news website close to the IRGC said the same-day attacks came after Turkey and Iran mutally agreed to fight "terrorism".

Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif
...Persian foreign minister, Mouthpiece of Mullahs, good friend of John Kerry and similar exemplars of Merkin values...
and his Ottoman Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu met in Ankara on Monday, reiterating their commitment to fight "terrorism" amongst a host of other issues.

Turkey launches ground operation against suspected PKK positions in Kurdistan Region's Haftanin region
[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor...
has deployed commando forces to the Haftanin area of the Kurdistan Region against suspected Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) positions in the area, the Ottoman Turkish defense ministry announced in the early hours of Wednesday.

The ground operation, dubbed Operation Claw-Tiger, was being carried out due to "recently attempted increased harassment and attacks on our cop shoppe and base areas," the defense ministry statement read.

The ministry called Claw-Tiger "part of our legitimate defense rights arising from international law, oriented against the PKK and other terrorist elements."

Ottoman Turkish commando entry into the Kurdistan Region was supported by the Air Force, ATAK helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), the defense ministry said in a separate statement.

PKK-linked Firat News Agency described the commando attack as a "black operation".

Today's attacks come two days after Turkey announced the launch of Operation Claw-Eagle, a campaign of aerial bombardment targeting suspected PKK bases in the Makhmour, Qarachogh, Mount Qandil, Khuakurk, and Zap areas of the Kurdistan Region, as well as Shingal in northern Iraq's Nineveh province.

In what local officials say is an unprecedented move by Ankara, Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike

on Tuesday.

Turkey regularly carries out airstrikes and ground operations in the Kurdistan Region, against what it says are positions belonging to the PKK, an gang that fights for greater political rights for Kurds in Turkey.

A mayor of the Haftanin town of Batifa told Rudaw on Wednesday that the obstacles caused by the "relentless" violence of Turkey-PKK festivities means local officials are unable to assess losses.

"Because of the PKK-Turkey conflict, there are many villages where we cannot go to, to construct and extend services to them," Abdulsatar added.

Both Erbil and Baghdad have repeatedly called on Ankara to halt its attacks, and have demanded the PKK withdraw from their territory. Baghdad summoned its Ottoman Turkish ambassador to protest the airstrikes on Tuesday, issuing him a formal memorandum, according to Iraq's foreign ministry.

"This invitation, like the previous ones, was a new occasion to emphasize that "we will continue to fight the PKK wherever it is, unless Iraq takes steps to end the PKK presence in its country," Yildiz tweeted after the meeting.

#1  Isn't Turkey getting a bit over extended. They seem to have a lot of equipment and manpower, but how about those logistics? Takes a lot of money and material to keep all of this going.

Update from Rudaw at 9:40 p.m. RDT adds:
Iraq's Defense Ministry said four rockets landed inside Baghdad’s Green Zone early Thursday, the fifth such attack in 10 days.

No casualties resulted from the attack, and Iraq's Security Media Cell said security forces had recovered an abandoned rocket launcher near al-Rashid military base in southern Baghdad.

No group has claimed the attack, but the US has attributed past rocket attacks on sites of international importance to Iran-backed militias who it says are looking to further inflame US-Iran

The Jerusalem Post adds:
Following the interception of the vessel, the ship and two terrorist operatives on board were arrested and detained for interrogation by the Shin Bet. One of the detainees was identified as Mahmoud Bakir, a senior smuggler who has worked with terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip.

“His arrest is a significant operational achievement,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement, adding that he was indicted in the Beersheba District Court on June 4.

During the investigation, the two revealed that the weapons were intended to be used by Hamas and also shared details of the terrorist group’s use of the sea for smuggling as well as details about other smugglers and equipment used for force built-up by Hamas.

Christopher Columbus statue near entrance of Detroit-Windsor Tunnel has been removed
[FREEP] The 110-year-old bust of Christopher Columbus near the entrance of the bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit
... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang...
-Windsor Tunnel could be gone for good. The city has decided to place the statue in storage. "The mayor decided it ought to be placed in storage to give us time to evaluate the appropriate long-term disposition of the statue," said John Roach, a front man for the mayor's office.

Last week, a sign that read "Looter. Rapist. Slave Trader." was placed around the neck of the bust. It was one in a series of attacks on depictions of the explorer across the nation.

More: Detroit's Christopher Columbus statue among those targeted across the nation

Below the three words, the sign continues with the Ojibwe phrase, "Debwen maadash ge gwaya da wiindmaage," which translates to, "Tell the truth or someone is telling."

The display is no stranger to attacks. In 2017, Detroit City Councilwoman Raquel Castañeda-López called for the removal of the bust alongside the designation of Indigenous peoples' day.
Senora Raquel Castañeda-López clearly is a cultural appropriator. She is the one who should have to sit in front of everyone with a sign around her neck to properly honour the current cultural revolution.

#3  They are also removing the Christopher Columbus statue in California's Capitol Rotunda. Sad. I recently read a book about Columbus. The guy was a genius; an extreme geographer, navigator, explorer and sailor. I like to believe that his is the spirit that will one day take humans to colonize (ooops, there's that word) other planets and thereby enrich us all whether white, black, brown, red, yellow, grey or green. If the so-called indigenous people who characterize Columbus as a looter, slave trader and rapist had been capable, they would have done the same. Never forget that the Spaniards who colonized Mexico put an end to the warfare, conquest and human sacrifice that was practiced by the Aztecs.
