TW: Reference the insurance challenges of your masseuse from yesterday; paying someone $150. an hour to listen to them B&M about insurance is simply over the top. Try insisting that she adjust the mood music upward. Failing that, snore softly, or offer a healthier gratuity.

Ship, you're thinking of the non-perve Lance: Lance Alworth. Chargers most of his career, spent last 2 seasons with the Cowgirls, won a Superbowl ring with them.
Actually a pretty good Flanker back in the day - College and Pro football Hall Of Fame. Nickname was Bambi (no idea why he let that one stick).

No doubt, Besoeker. But I don't pay her even half so much, and she has all the usual small business expenses before ending up with a take home pay of about $30,000/year. At that point $10,000 upfront for Obamacare (premium plus deductible) seemed a bit much to her, so she is just going to continue to be healthy and doctor-free. A great many people seem to be making that decision these days.
We've discussed all sorts of things over the years, she and I, as I do with pretty much everybody -- it's how I learn. Perhaps if the purpose of the massage were relaxation it would be different, but this is what I have in lieu of the exercise I cannot do.

That's the one OS, another Lance and he did play for Dallas a season or two, that's what confused me, along with the nickname of course. :)

[ToloNews] A jacket wallah, who wanted to target the National Directorate of Security (NDS) department of southern Kandahar early Sunday, detonated his explosive inside a civilian home after he was stopped by the NDS security guards.
The incident took place at about 7:30 a.m. in Kandahar city when the krazed killer attempted to enter the NDS department when the security guards stopped him for inspection. The attacker panicked and fled the area, forcing himself inside a civilian home, according to Ahmad Zia Durani, Kandahar police chief front man.
"The civilians of the home escaped after the bomber entered their house to hide," Durani said. "The police force surrounded the home and began firing.
Several minutes later the bomber detonated his explosive only damaging the house. There were no casualties."
A week ago, the Taliban had announced taking on new war tactics to target government institutions, the Afghan cops and foreign forces.
The Afghan forces will take over full security responsibility of the country by the end of the year as foreign troops leave Afghanistan.

So much for Positive Identification [PID]. Rules of Engagement only apply to infidels. Besides, if he escapes, he could be captured later and talk.
[AnNahar] Gunmen rubbed out two Egyptian coppers on Monday in the central city of Minya as they were heading home, the interior ministry said.
Militant attacks targeting coppers have risen since the army ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi ...the former president of Egypt. A proponent of the One Man, One Vote, One Time principle, Morsi won election after the deposal of Hosni Mubarak and jumped to the conclusion it was his turn to be dictator... in July last year.
The two coppers, riding on a cycle of violence, were rubbed out on the Minya-Assiut highway, the ministry said.
The attack comes just days ahead of the May 26-27 presidential election, which former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sissi who ousted Morsi is expected to win.
In April, a court in Minya triggered an international outcry after sentencing to death around 700 Morsi supporters after a speedy mass trial, accusing them of murder and attempted murder of coppers in August last year in Minya.
[AnNahar] An Egyptian court on Monday acquitted 169 supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi over protest violence last year, judicial sources said.
The army-installed government has rounded up thousands of Morsi's supporters and put them on trial in mass hearings since his ouster by the military in July last year.
The often speedy mass trials have jailed hundreds for lengthy terms and even handed down death sentences, triggering international outrage.
The 169 defendants were accused of taking part in "riots" during a violent protest in Cairo on August 14, when police killed hundreds of Morsi supporters at two sit-ins in the capital.
A relentless crackdown on Morsi's mostly Islamist backers since his ouster has killed more than 1,400 people, and seen 15,000 others jailed.
But not this lot. Let us all pause a moment to respect the even-handedness of the Egyptian justice system.

[The Peninsula] Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... closed its embassy in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... on Monday and evacuated all its diplomats over "security" concerns in Libya, the SPA state news agency reported.
The Saudi ambassador to Libya Mohammed Mahmud al-Ali told SPA the kingdom's consulate in Libya was also closed "due to the current circumstances and the security situation."
He said all diplomats in Libya were flown out of the North African country.

So if the Soddy's even quit an Islamic country and we and we are still there... what the hell does that mean?
#2
It means that the US remains the court of last resort for the middle east.
Another wilder thought. Have you noticed that with the exception of Egypt, ALL of the countries in turmoil in the ME are major oil producers? Libya, Algeria, Syria, Iraq are all oil producers with Libya and Iraq having major oil and gas finds in recent months. The only countries NOT in shambles are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iran.
Could it possible be the "Arab Spring" was a way for Iran or KSA to eliminate competition and increase cash flow...or is it the inscrutable Mr. Putin at his devious best?

(Rooters) - The commander of Libyan army special forces said on Monday he had allied with general Khalifa Haftar in his campaign against militant Islamist, highlighting the failure of central government in Tripoli to assert its authority.
The announcement gives a major boost to a campaign by Haftar, who has been denounced by the Tripoli government as attempting to stage a coup in the oil producer. Off with their heads!
"We are with Haftar," Special Forces Commander Wanis Bukhamada told Reuters in the eastern city of Benghazi. On live television he had earlier announced his forces would join "Operation Dignity", as Haftar calls his campaign.
The special forces are the best trained troops of Libya's nascent army. I wonder who trained them.

Relaxed grooming standards, Language Pay, Special Duty Pay (SDP), separate rations, reenlistment bonuses, a promise of a cool, gov't contract job after the shi* is over....... it was an easy decision. Please see General Haftar, the old dude from northern Virginia for details.
[CBC.CA] A suicide boom-mobileer killed five people on a street of popular bars and restaurants in the northern Nigerian city of Kano on Sunday evening, in an area mostly inhabited by southern Christians, police said.
Kano police front man Musa Majiya said the bomber struck Gold Coast Street in the Sabon Gari or "foreign quarter" of the North's biggest city.
"I heard a loud blast. And there was a lot of smoke. Soldiers came in to cordon off the place and ambulances were rushing people to hospital," witness Abdul Dafar, who lives a block away from the blast, said, adding that he had seen four dead bodies in the aftermath.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but blame is likely to fall on violent Islamist group Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... , whose struggle against the Nigerian state has killed thousands over the last five years.

[AnNahar] A UAE court Monday held a new hearing in the trial of an "al-Qaeda cell" of nine men accused of supporting Al-Nusra Front, the jihadist network's Syrian affiliate, state news agency WAM said.
The prosecution accused seven of the defendants of "joining the terrorist al-Qaeda organization and forming a cell in the UAE to promote its ideas," WAM reported.
It said the men had tried to "recruit members to join Al-Nusra Front that is fighting the Syrian government," adding they also raised money that they "sent to Al-Nusra."
The two other defendants were accused of running a website promoting al-Qaeda's ideology and aimed at recruiting fighters "to execute terror acts outside the country," WAM said. One of the defendants is being tried in absentia, local media had reported previously.
The court adjourned the trial to May 26.
Local press had previously said the defendants, most of whom were from North Africa and whose trial began on May 6, were accused of plotting attacks in the Gulf state, but WAM did not mention these charges.
Abu Dhabi said in April 2013 it had dismantled an al-Qaeda cell planning attacks in the United Arab Emirates, one of the Middle East's stablest countries.
The UAE, like its neighboring Gulf monarchies, emerged unscathed from the wave of Arab Spring uprisings in 2011.
But dozens of Emiratis and Egyptians have been locked away Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! in past months for forming cells of the Moslem Brüderbund, which is outlawed in Egypt and accused of seeking to overthrow the Gulf monarchies.

[AnNahar] Gunmen killed two soldiers in an ambush on an army patrol in southeastern Yemen on Monday, a security official said.
"Unknown gunniesshot up a military vehicle killing two soldiers," the source said. The attack took place at the entrance to Shehr, a coastal town in Hadramawt province.
The assailants fled, he said.
The ambush coincided with an army operation launched April 29 against suspected Al-Qaeda bad boys, centered on Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... and Shabwa in the south and the central province of Baida.
But Al-Qaeda is also firmly implanted in other regions, including Hadramawt.
Its Yemeni franchise, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, took advantage of a 2011 uprising that ousted veteran president President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh ... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it... to seize large swathes of the south and east.
The army recaptured several major towns in 2012 but has struggled to reassert control in rural areas despite recruiting militia allies among local tribes.
[Iran Press TV] Unidentified gunnies have killed two Yemeni soldiers in the southeastern part of the country, says a security official.
"Unknown gunniesshot up a military vehicle, killing two soldiers," the official said on Monday.
According to the security official, the soldiers were killed in an ambush on an army patrol at the entrance to Shehr, a coastal town in Hadramawt province.
The official further noted that the attackers fled the area.
Yemen has witnessed regular attacks on its troops and authorities, with officials blaming al-Qaeda turbans for the deadly assaults.
On Wednesday, Yemeni army officials said General Mohsen Saeed al-Ghazali, an aide to Yemeni Defense Minister Muhammad Nasir Ahmad, and four soldiers had bit the dust in an attack in Shabwa province's Azzan city.

The monthlong trial marks the second time this year that federal civilian prosecutors secured a swift conviction in a high-profile terrorism case. Some critics have contended that military commissions are the more suitable venue for such trials.

Two soldiers and three defense volunteers were wounded in a series of attacks yesterday in Narathiwat and Pattani provinces.
In Narathiwat, Corporal Somsak Yuklai sustained serious head wounds after a bomb attack on rangers guarding teachers about 8:40 a.m. An hour later, another bomb exploded near the Rangae district, wounding the three defense volunteers. The first bomb appeared to target rangers assigned to guard teachers who had just begun the new school year.
In Pattani province, a soldier was shot in the neck after he and his unit went to investigate reported gunfire near a Muslim school just 500 meters from their base. Suspected terrorists insurgents ambushed them when the eight man team arrived at the scene.
Meanwhile, Internal Security Operation Command spokesman Col Banpot Poolpian said 24 suspects have been arrested for allegedly carrying out recent bomb attacks in Yala municipality. Five of the suspects made confessions, he said.
[AnNahar] Three runaways were jugged Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! on Monday in Beirut's suburbs on charges of opening fire, the army announced in a communique.
"An army force detained Mohammed Sharif Hashem in Haret Hreik for opening fire in the Shiyyah area (in Beirut's southern suburbs)," the communique said.
And Bashir Mohammed Zoaiter was held for exchanging fire using war guns, and hurling rocket-propelled grenades in al-Laylaki neighborhood, also in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Meanwhile in Sports City, Walid Khaled al-Ali was arrested.
"Al-Ali has several arrest warrants against him on charges of opening fire in Beirut and in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps," the statement revealed.
"The three detainees were handed over to the relevant authorities."
The arrests come as army troops and security forces have been implementing a security plan since April in the North, the Bekaa and Beirut.
The plan has so far succeeded in the arrest of dozens of runaways, while others, mainly fighting frontiers leaders in the northern city of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , have turned themselves in.
[AnNahar] An Iraqi national was released on Monday evening after a three-day kidnap ordeal in the Bekaa town of Brital, reported the state-run National News Agency.
"An army force raided locations where runaways were staying in Brital and managed to free Majed al-Nashi," the NNA said.
Al-Nashi, who is the son-in-law of businessman Wael al-Jabouri, was kidnapped at midnight on Thursday while transporting USD 50,000 in ransom to his kidnappers-to be, to secure the release of al-Jabouri's kidnapped relative, the NNA detailed.
"But he was himself kidnapped at the entrance of the Hosh al-Nabi town in Baalbek as he was delivering the ransom money," the same source added.
Army troops then positioned near the suspects' residences, and the Airborne Regiment carried out raids in the area to free the Iraqi national.
The kidnappers were identified as M.Y.M. And H.T.M, revealed the NNA.
This comes as army troops and security forces have been implementing a security plan since April in the North, the Bekaa and Beirut.
The plan has so far succeeded in the arrest of dozens of runaways throughout Leb, and in seizing a number of stolen vehicles and illegal substance.
[AnNahar] Fatah Movement official Colonel Talal al-Ordoni survived on Monday an attempt against his life in the Paleostinian refugee camp of Ein el-Hellhole in the southern city of Sidon.
Three people were maimed in the kaboom that targeted Ordoni, reported al-Jadeed television.
LBCI television meanwhile said that a colonel, known as Abou Shadi, was with the Fatah official at the time of the blast.
No details have yet been disclosed about Ordoni's condition.
Gunmen in the camp went on alert following the attack that took place at the southern entrance of the camp.
In March, Fatah Movement official Brig. Gen. Jamil Zeidan shot and killed by unknown assailants in Ein el-Hellhole.
On February 2, Wissam Abul Kel, a member of Fatah, died after masked men shot him near the camp's grocery market.
Ein el-Hellhole, the largest Paleostinian camp in the country, is home to about 50,000 refugees and is known to harbor turbans and runaways.
By long-standing convention, the Lebanese army does not enter the country's 12 refugee camps, leaving security inside to the Paleostinians themselves.
[AnNahar] Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi on Monday referred to the Judicial Council the cases of twelve deadly bombings that rocked different regions in Leb in the past months.
Rifi announced in a released statement that he has appointed judicial Sherlocks at the Judicial Council to probe the "terrorist kabooms."
The statement detailed: "Judge Imad al-Zein will investigate the bombings in (the Beirut southern suburbs of) Bir al-Abed that took place on July 9, 2013 and in Rweiss on August 15, 2013. He will also look into the two kabooms of the Haret Hreik region (in southern Beirut) that happened on January 2, 2014 and January 21, 2014."
It continued: "Judge Alain Khatib will probe the twin blasts that targeted al-Taqwa and al-Salam mosques in (the northern city of) Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... on August 23, 2013."
Meanwhile, ...back at the fist fight, Jake ducked another roundhouse, then parried with his left, then with his right, finally with his chin... Judge Mohammed Wissam al-Murtada will be in charge of the kaboom that targeted the Iranian embassy on November 19, 2013 and of the Bir Hassan blast of February 19, 2014 in Beirut's southern suburbs.
Also, Judge Mohammed Saab was tasked with looking into the December 27, 2013 kaboom which killed former minister Mohammed Shatah in the Beirut neighborhood of Starco.
As for the three bombings that hit the Bekaa town of Hermel in January and February 2014, they were handed to Judge Sabbouh Suleiman.
Dozens of people, among them troops, were killed or maimed in a series of deadly kabooms that hit different Lebanese regions in recent months, many of which were claimed by the al-Qaeda inspired jihadist group "Al-Nusra Front in Leb."
However, you can observe a lot just by watching... nothing so far has been revealed in the case of Shatah's liquidation.
