| Fifteen policemen injured in new Ghardaia clashes |

| [MAGHAREBIA] Fifteen policemen were injured Saturday (May 17th) in Ghardaia, Tour sur l'Algerie reported. The law enforcement agents intervened to prevent clashes between Ibadite and Malikite youths. Seven people have been killed and more than 400 wounded since December in the Ghardaia violence. Thousands of security officers were deployed around the city in a bid to restore order. |
