"The incident took place at 6am when a vehicle stopped at the front gate and its driver asked to gain entry," the commander of 21 Battalion, Salim Nayli, told the Libya Herald. "The car went kaboom! suddenly when officers asked to see the driver's identification," he said.

The two injured men, who have not been identified, have been taken to a Benghazi hospital for treatment. One is said to be at death's door and the other to have received only minor injuries.
Thirteen people, civilians and security forces, were killed in Libya's first suicide kaboom in December when a suicide bomber in a truck hit a military checkpoint at Bersis, 50 kilometres east of Benghazi.

[Iran Press TV] Militants have raided the Libyan parliament, forcing MPs to stop voting on the country's next prime minister.
The gunnies also maimed several people during the attack against the General National Congress (GNC) in the capital Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... On Tuesday, said parliament front man Omar Hmeidan.
The assailants were said to be linked to one of the defeated candidates for prime minister, Hmeidan said without mentioning the candidate's name.
The attack, which ended quickly, forced the politicians to postpone the vote until next week.
Armed snuffies have launched several attacks against the GNC to make political or financial demands.
The parliament speaker said the final vote was being held between businessmen Ahmed Maiteeq and Omar al-Hasi when the attack took place.
Two weeks ago, Libyan interim Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni resigned just one month after his election, saying gunnies had attacked his family.
Prior to Thinni, Ali Zeidan was fired over reported oil sales by rebels in the volatile east.

[Iran Press TV] Military officials say Yemeni forces have launched a large-scale operation to flush al-Qaeda bully boyz out of southern towns of the impoverished Arab country.
A military commander, speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... , said government forces clashed Tuesday with the gunnies in the Lahmar area of the Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... province.
Other festivities took place near al-Saeed in Shabwa province as al-Qaeda bully boyz confronted advancing government forces.
Army troops backed by local bully boyz moved last week in to "purge" the towns of Ahwar and al-Mahfad, in Abyan province, and Azzan, al-Houta, al-Rawda and al-Saeed in Shabwa province, another military official said
"The campaign will not stop until these areas are purged of al-Qaeda hard boys," the unnamed official added.
Yemen has witnessed regular attacks on its troops and other acts of violence, with authorities blaming al-Qaeda bully boyz for the deadly assaults.

The lawmen also found three switchgear knives, 10 small packets of power gel, 10 detonators and some electric wire in their possession.
The arrestees are Nurul Islam, 35, and Shamim, alias Abdullah, 35, said Railway Range DIG of police Sohrab Hossain.

A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) made the arrest and seized the arms and ammunition from the train's compartment before it reached the station around 1:15pm.

After the seizure police intensified security measures surrounding the city's railway stations, said Abdul Majid, officer-in-charge of Dhaka Railway cop shoppe.
Abdul Majid said Abdullah hailed from Chapainawabganj district.
They were suspecting that Abdullah might be connected with the murderous Moslem organization. On the other hand Nurul hailed from Panchagarh district.

Police have this type of heavy arms in a limited scale. Besides, the explosives can cause massive destruction.
"A case will be filed in this connection. We will place them before the court, seeking remand," he said.
"We assume that the explosives are highly destructive. This can be used to blow up a train compartment. Besides, if these are used in a crowded place, it can be disastrous," said Ashraful Islam, Inspector of DMP's Bomb Disposal unit.

A .22 cal AK is likely a 'Krinkov' model, actually .219 cal, and is what is currently carried by the Russian military. Look at the photos from Ukraine; if it's a short barreled AK, and the flash suppressor has what looks like a tiny megaphone at the end, it's likely a Krinkov. 5.45 caliber.

A group of unidentified miscreants severed limbs of two Bangladesh Chhatra League ... the student wing of the Bangla Awami League ... activists in broad daylight on Rajshahi University campus yesterday morning.
The victims, Abdullah Al Masud and Tagar Mohammad Saleh, were on their way to the university on a rickshaw when they were attacked near Ziaur Rahman Hall around 8:15am, said Alamgir Hossain, OC of Motihar cop shoppe. After severely injuring the victims, the attackers set off two crude bombs and promptly left the scene, said witnesses.
A few local shop owners and the guards at Ziaur Rahman Hall then rushed Masud and Saleh to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said the OC. The culprits hacked off Masud's right leg from knee and severed the tendons of Saleh's arms and legs, according to sources at the medical college hospital. Later, they were moved to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in the capital's Agargaon area as their conditions worsened, the Chhatra League leaders said.
Masud is an activist of Chhatra League's Rajshahi University unit, while Saleh is the student scholarship affair secretary, according to the student party's leaders. Both are second-year students at the university and residents of Madar Bux Hall.
Both Chhatra League leaders and police suspect that activists of Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami ...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... , were involved in the incident.
Alamgir said: "Shibir might have been involved in the attack. We have tossed in the calaboose Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! 15 Shibir activists on suspicion that they may be involved with the case." The arrested were currently being interrogated at Motihar cop shoppe, he said, adding that police would continue looking for the miscreants responsible for the attack.
Mizanur Rahman Rana, president of the Rajshahi University unit of Chhatra League, claimed Shibir activists were involved in the attack and demanded immediate arrest of those responsible for it.
However, the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach... when contacted, Shoyeb Shahriar, organising secretary of Shibir's unit in the university, denied all allegations and said the attack was the result of Chhatra League's internal feud.
Professor Tariqul Hasan, proctor of the university, told the Dhaka Tribune that additional police had been deployed on the campus to deter further untoward situation. Following the incident, Chhatra League activists brought out a procession on the campus in protest and demanding justice.

A total of 14 individuals, including two Policia Federal units were killed Tuesday in armed confrontations in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, according to Mexican official news accounts.
A news release published by the state government of Tamaulipas on the state website said that three separate encounters were recorded in the city.
The gunfights began at 1200 hrs in Beaty colony when an armed group attacked a Policia Federal road patrol. Two unidentified Policia Federal agents died in the encounter, one at the scene and the other later while receiving medical attention.
An attempt by a Mexican Army unit to respond to the gunfight was attacked by armed suspects traveling aboard a Ford Lobo (F-150) pickup truck, presumably near the area of the first encounter. Army return fire killed all four unidentified attackers.
Two others were found dead aboard two separate vehicles, hit by stray gunfire from the firefight. Both victims were in their 20s.
Later on, a Mexican Army patrol encountered armed suspects traveling aboard a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in Aquiles Serdan colony, killing all six by return gunfire.
Criminal gangs inside the city blocked roads to slow security forces response to the fighting. Blocks were reported on the Reynosa-Matamoros highway, on Bulevar Morelos in Ampliacion Rodriguez colony, Libramiento Monterrey in JosÄÅ Lopez Portillo colony, on Libramiento Monterrey in Las Cumbres colony, on Bulevar Morelos in Petrolera coolony and on Bulevar Hidalgo in Longoria colony.
The Mexican Army also claimed a total of 10 rifles, accessories, ammunition, weapons magazines and two vehicles were seized following the gunfights.
Fighting in Reynosa has exploded because a top drug gang leader, identified only as El Mondo was executed Monday by Gulf Cartel shooters. Cartel related messages on narcoboards indicate that the drug gangs inside the city were vowing revenge for the killing.

From reading BdelNarco and BB, it is getting more and more obvious that the PRI is not fighting the narcos but "managing" them...i.e. is a Narco organisation itself...just see how the Self defense groups are treated, ENEMIES!!!...but what can you expect from a bunch of communists!

...sort of like the Donks in Chicago gave up trying to stop the gangs in the hoods and are just 'managing' them enough to know to leave the pols and their domain alone.

A subtle change, but I think that the army is not sending out as many patrol as they were, or are at least changing up patrols to catch the bad guys. Bad guys are dying in Mexico to be sure, but not in the super sized quantities, but they are shuffling off to hell.
[REUTERS] An kaboom hit a railway station in the capital of China's far western region of Xinjiang on Wednesday injuring some people, in what is likely to be seen as an embarrassing security lapse for the government.
The blast happened at Urumqi's south railway station, a government front man, and came just as President Xi Jinping was wrapping up a tour of Xinjiang in which he spoke of plans to get tough on fighting terrorism.
The People's Daily said on its official microblog that some people had been injured and taken to hospital. The government and state media did not give a cause for the blast.

See also TOPIX, DEFENCE.PK/FORUMS > CHINA PRESIDENT: XINJIANG "FRONT LINE" OF TERRORISM, in China.
IMO it will be much much worse for Beijing iff the Ukraine-Crimea Crisis = US-vs-Russia results in struggling Russia being effectively destabilized.
WINNER/ADVANTAGE = SOON-TO-BE NUCLEAR HARD BOYZ + GLOBAL JIHAD.
Moreso given ...
* INDIAN DEFENCE FORUM > [Reuters][Real = True] BATTLEGROUND BETWEEN RUSSIA AND WEST IS IN CHINA -JIM O'NEILL.
* TOPIX > RUSSIA'S UKRAINE ACTION SHOWS ITS MILITARY LIMITS.
Collectively speaking, 'tis why I've said or argued that the US + NATO-EU should not go too far or be overly excessive in implementing any sanctions agz Russia.
PUTIN'S = RUSSIA'S FEAR IS NUCLEAR ISLAM, I.E. ISLAMIC STATES + HARD BOYZ, ETAL., NOT THE US OR NATO, EU.
Iff the US-Allies fear a Taliban-controlled ,post-2014 Pakistan, they'll really fear the Hard Boyz being in control of Russia's Nukes-WMDS - DITTO AS PER CHINA'S + INDIA'S NUKE ARSENALS.
Again, the OWG Globies have NOT answered the question as to HOW FAR CAN THE US + GREAT POWERS SAFELY RETREAT OR UNILATERALLY REDUCE THEIR WORLDWIDE POWER-N-INFLUENCE WIDOUT BECOMING EXISTENTIALLY THREATENED OR DESTROYED.

[DAWN] Military helicopters and artillery attacked myrmidons' hideouts in the mountainous Bobar area of South Wazoo tribal region on Monday where a day earlier three security personnel, including an army officer, had been killed in a kaboom.
According to tribal people and Taliban sources, three helicopters carried out the attack on the hideouts from 3 to 4pm.
However, the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits... security forces did not confirm the attack till late Monday night.
Sources said security forces also used artillery to shell the area from Mirali and Sara Rogha camps at 6pm. No casualty was reported from the remote area where the media has no access.
Tribal people said several hideouts had been destroyed by the shelling.
On Sunday a roadside IED blast had killed an army officer and two other personnel in the mouĀnĀtainous Bobar area. Three personnel were maimed. The dear departed were identified as Lieutenant Fahad, Hawaldar Saleem and soldier Kashif. They were reportedly going to a security post when their vehicle was hit by the blast.
Sources said another roadside blast in the area hit a vehicle carrying eight security personnel on Monday. There was no report about any casualty.
Bobar is situated between South and North Waziristan agencies and is said to be a stronghold of Mahsud Taliban.
According to the sources, Death Eaters of the Sheharyar (Hakeemullah) and Khan Said alias Sajna groups have hideouts in the area. Besides, Uzbek Taliban have their training camps and compounds in Bobar.
The sources said it was for the first that security forces had acted in the area.
A Taliban capo told Dawn that roads in the region had been extensively mined before the start of negotiations between the government and the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain. He criticised the government and said that on the one hand it claimed to be interested in holding talks with the Taliban and on the other its forces were advancing towards Taliban-controlled areas.

[Ynet] Explosive device planted on the side of 'Gazoo's Ark', a boat planning to break Gazoo blockade; Freedom Flotilla Coalition says Israel has biggest interest to stop such a flotilla from setting sail.
Perhaps someone needed to practice their technique...
An bomb planted on the side of the boat "Gazoo's Ark," that belongs to the international Freedom Flotilla Coalition, went kaboom! early Tuesday morning, causing it extensive damages and causing its stern to sink.
Does that mean that only the bow was sticking out of the water?
The boat's crew was preparing for a voyage from the Gazoo Strip to Europe in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade of the Strip.
Flotilla activists told Ynet that at 4 am a guard who was on the boat received a phone call in which he was told he must leave the boat immediately because it was about to explode.
The guard disembarked, but went back on board the boat several minutes later after nothing had happened. A few minutes after that, the bomb went on, bringing to the sinking of the boat's stern but not the bow. The guard, who was on board the boat, was unharmed.
Freedom Flotilla Coalition Spokesman Dror Feiler said that an initial investigation done by the activists found the cause for the blast was likely an bomb plated by a diver.
"The kaboom was controlled and was meant to damage the boat but not to cause its complete destruction. Following the kaboom, the boat's back end sunk," Feiler said.
Feiler did not hold anyone directly responsible for the kaboom, but mentioned that in past years, other boats that were meant to sail to the Gazoo Strip from European ports have also been sabotaged.
He also stated that the Israeli government has the biggest interest to ensure such a boat doesn't set sail from the Gazoo port.
The flotilla's activists, however, directly accused Israel of being behind the kaboom.
Israeli security sources have yet to comment on the story.
They're still laughing too hard...
Feiler noted that the boat was due to set sail from the Gazoo port in six weeks. "Whoever's behind the planting of the underwater bomb did this now, weeks before the boat was to set sail, because they knew it wouldn't be wise to stop it a shot time before the voyage when the boat is under media attention," he said.
Mahfouz Kabariti, the Paleostinian spokesperson for "Gazoo's Ark" in Gazoo, said that he and his men were considering their next move following what he called "a cowardly terror attack."
David Heap, a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, said: "This kaboom, or any other attack, will not stop our efforts to break the seige on Gazoo, until we bring to its removal."

[An Nahar] The army announced on Tuesday the arrest of four Lebanese and a Syrian in Beirut's southern suburbs of Dahieh on different shooting charges.
It said that it nabbed Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! Ali Jamaleddine, Hassan Rafiq al-Meqdad, Abbas Nasseredine, and Maher Issam al-Ali for opening fire on various occasions and brandishing weapons in the face of citizens.
They are also charged with attacking the army.
The military also arrested a Syrian for opening fire at dawn on Tuesday in the Bir Hassan neighborhood in Dahieh.
Investigations are underway with all of the suspects.
On Saturday, an individual dispute between the Meqdad and Nasseredine families escalated into an armed clash in Dahieh that left several people maimed and caused extensive material damage.

[Iran Press TV] At least 60 people have been killed in three separate terrorist attacks on the Syrian capital Damascus and the western city of Homs as foreign-backed faceless myrmidons are stepping up their deadly attacks against Syrians ahead of June 3 presidential election.
On Tuesday, a boom-mobile and a rocket attack in the city of Homs, located 162 kilometers (101 miles) north of the capital Damascus, claimed at least 45 lives and maimed scores of others.
A Syrian government official, speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... , said the kaboom took place in the district of Zahra.
In Damascus, several mortar shells slammed into Shaghour neighborhood in the morning hours, killing at least 14 people and wounding dozens more.
No one immediately grabbed credit for the Homs and Damascus attacks. Syria's state media said the attacks were launched by foreign-sponsored faceless myrmidons fighting against the Damascus government.
Foreign-backed faceless myrmidons regularly fire mortar shells and rockets into the heart of Damascus, often killing civilians. Terrorist groups have also attacked Syria's cities with boom-mobiles in the past months.
Tuesday attacks came a day after Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad One of the last of the old-fashioned hereditary iron-fisted fascist dictators... formally submitted his nomination to seek a third term in office in an election due to be held on June 3.
Syria's foreign-backed opposition and the West have criticized the balloting, saying it would only exacerbate the Syrian conflict.
On April 26, Syria dismissed Western and opposition accusations regarding the presidential vote, saying that it is planning a free and transparent election.
