Explosion Damages Boat Due To Set Sail From Gaza To Europe
2014-04-30 | |||
[Ynet] Explosive device planted on the side of 'Gazoo's Ark', a boat planning to break Gazoo blockade; Freedom Flotilla Coalition says Israel has biggest interest to stop such a flotilla from setting sail.
kaboom!early Tuesday morning, causing it extensive damages and causing its stern to sink.
Flotilla activists told Ynet that at 4 am a guard who was on the boat received a phone call in which he was told he must leave the boat immediately because it was about to explode. The guard disembarked, but went back on board the boat several minutes later after nothing had happened. A few minutes after that, the bomb went on, bringing to the sinking of the boat's stern Freedom Flotilla Coalition Spokesman Dror Feiler said that an initial investigation done by the activists found the cause for the blast was likely an bomb plated by a diver. "The kaboom was controlled and was meant to damage the boat but not to cause its complete destruction. Following the kaboom, the boat's back end sunk," Feiler said. Feiler did not hold anyone directly responsible for the kaboom, but mentioned that in past years, other boats that were meant to sail to the Gazoo Strip from European ports have also been sabotaged. He also stated that the Israeli government has the biggest interest to ensure such a boat doesn't set sail from the Gazoo port. The flotilla's activists, however, directly accused Israel of being behind the kaboom. Israeli security sources have yet to comment on the story.
Mahfouz Kabariti, the Paleostinian spokesperson for "Gazoo's Ark" in Gazoo, said that he and his men were considering their next move following what he called "a cowardly terror attack." David Heap, a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, said: "This kaboom, or any other attack, will not stop our efforts to break the seige on Gazoo, until we bring to its removal."

#8 The operation does have a level of planning that suggests it to be beyond the level of the PLO, Islamic Jihad or Hamas... |

#7 Hmmm. Weapons and 'Facilitators' coming into Gazoo is a good reason for a blockade. What could be going to Europe that someone might want to stop? (other than the obvious bad actors in Aloha Shirts and Speedos lounging on the decks) Could be to just remove the 'Ark' from the waterways. Probably wasn't really 'ship-shape' anyway. |

#4 There is a distinct lack of Sympathy or empathy ( or whatever you call it ) for anything in Gazoo. I hear they eat rats and stand in the rain. Too bad. Tough nutz. Hard Cheese. Hahahahahahaha. |
