Two feral youts teenagers have been arrested in connection with the incident, including a 16-year-old who was charged with robbery, grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Lamont Almon, 18, was charged with robbery.

[NYPOST] Bernie Madoff, whose $65 billion Ponzi scheme made him one of the world’s most-hated criminals and destroyed even his own family, died Wednesday at the secure federal medical center in Butner, North Carolina, where he was serving a 150-year prison sentence, according to prison officials.
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported the 82-year-old scam king, who had been suffering from end-stage kidney disease and other chronic ailments, died of natural causes.
Madoff would have turned 83 on April 29.
His epic stock fraud, which came to light amid the global financial crisis of the late 2000s and remains the biggest in Wall Street history, left more than 37,000 victims in 136 countries in its wake.

Read somewhere, not that I can find it now, that Loughrey said he did it for the families. As in, at their request. Wouldn't surprise me if that were true, primitive peoples notoriously having terrible taste in portraiture compared to us smart-focusing filter-rocking post-ironic geniuses.

Ukrainian Operational Command South — which includes the Vinnytsya, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson oblasts — controls five territorial defense brigades. Each of those units is tasked to defend its respective regional territory and impede the advance of a Russian invasion force so that regular Ukrainian units have more time to maneuver. In theory, the territorial defense brigades can mobilize for combat within one to two days.

Seems like they did this during the Crimea snatch.
IIRC, only one commander ended up being effective and they went and arrested him for conducting war in the Olde Style, instead of the new way of giving up their location by dinking on their phones then catching artillery.
Not too well, especially since Biden won't send them any anti-tank missiles.

I think Russia has claimed that their occupation of the Crimea and eastern Ukraine is to protect ethnic Russians.
As bad as this claim is, there is little ethnic Russian presence in central and western Ukraine.
