#1  In shape. All male. Nice tats.

Look how well organized that is. That's a formation you'd see in those obstacle course races.

Anyone catch the video of the river rush where they had an inflatable boat plus tubes pre-positioned, and a small chopper, possibly like a Kiowa, intercepted their blitz and flew close enough to overturn the boat and blow the tubers back to the shore?

Same thing with them. All male, all military age, all in shape, and well organized.

Afghanistan
Afghanistan: 11 Killed in Security Incidents in 24 Hours
[ToloNews] Nearly a dozen civilians and military personnel were killed and as many were maimed in Taliban
...Arabic for students...
attacks and other security incidents in the country in the last 24 hours.

In the Southern Kandahar province, at least four non-combatants were killed in a roadside kaboom blast in Shah Wali Kot district on Thursday evening, the provincial police front man Jamal Nasir Barikzai said.

Also in Mir Bacha Kot district north of Kabul, unknown armed assassinated a former jihadi commander Sultan Mohammad Qand and his security guard and maimed another one.

"He was socially respected man and was playing key role in resolving disputes among the people," said Haji Qaher, a relative of the victim.

"The incident happened between two police check posts," said Nisaruddin Baryalai, a relative of Qand.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, Gloria slowly backed away from the eight-foot bull frog. If the creature croaked she would surely be deafened...
at least six security members were killed and eight more maimed in separate attacks by Taliban in Faryab, Balkh and Badghis provinces.

"Two soldiers were martyred in Garziwan. The enemy also suffered two deaths and three injuries. We also had two cases of injuries in Khawja Sabzposh after a tank hit a roadside kaboom blast," said Naqibullah Fayeq, the governor of Faryab.

"The Taliban will not win until they transform themselves from the war situation to the political situation," said Zia Yaftali, a member of Afghan parliament.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense has said that the Taliban are not willing for peace.

"The Taliban has no will for peace and reduction in violence. They attack the security forces and the people of Afghanistan on a daily basis, but they also have suffered as a result of their attacks," said Rohullah Ahmadzai, a front man for Ministry of Defense.

According to The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, nearly 4,000 Afghan cops members have been killed and hundreds more were maimed in the battle with the Taliban after the US-Taliban peace deal last February.

Hundreds of Afghan civilians have also been killed and maimed during this period.

[AlAhram] At least 21 migrants colonists from Africa died when their boat sank off Tunisia as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to the Italian island of Lampedusa, a Tunisian official said on Friday.

New clashes in Mozambique's northeast: Army
[AlAhram] New festivities have erupted in the town of Palma in Mozambique, three weeks after a jihadist attack there left dozens of people dead and forced thousands to flee their homes, military and security sources said.

"There were shots, but the situation is under control," said a military commander, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
late Thursday.

"They attacked in a village in Mueda, in Pundanhar and Palma almost simultaneously," said a security source based in Maputo.

Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
-linked gunnies raided the coastal town of Palma on March 24 in an assault that marked a major intensification in an insurgency that has wreaked havoc across Cabo Delgado province for over three years as the jihadists seek to establish a caliphate.

The violence pushed La Belle France's Total to desert a nearby multi-billion-dollar gas project.

And since then, there have been fears of new attacks in the gas-rich province.

Mozambique president Filipe Nyusi said last week that the gunnies had been driven out of Palma and the army said that a "significant" number of rebels had been killed.

But on Sunday, a resident who had returned to his home after fleeing the attack, was found beheaded, local police said.

While the official toll puts the number of civilians, coppers and soldiers killed in last month's attack, it could actually be much higher.
Clearly there was the intention of reporting a number in that sentence, but all the layers of journalists, fact checkers and editors missed.
Prior to the attack, the NGO Ancled had already estimated that the violence had claimed more than 2,600 lives. And UN figures say that over 700,000 have had been forced to flee from their homes.

Houthis Behind 37 Cross-Border Attacks Since Saudi Arabia Announced Yemen Peace Plan
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Since Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...

...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
on March 23, Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
militias have fired over 37 explosive drones and ballistic missiles against civilian targets and facilities in the Kingdom.

Houthi cross-border attacks coincided with the militia pressing on with its military offensive against the Yemeni governorate of Marib, where thousands of internally displaced Yemenis have sought refuge from ongoing violence.

These attacks exacerbated the humanitarian crisis engulfing Yemen.

While the international and regional communities have welcomed the Saudi peace plan, Houthis have ignored invitations for promoting peace efforts for resolving the Yemeni conflict.

More so, the Iran-aligned group continued to ramp up its military operations in all battlefronts.

Its latest assault included the targeting of Saudi Arabia’s southern border city of Jazan.

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition on Thursday announced that Saudi defense systems took down five ballistic missiles and four explosive-laden drones launched towards the Kingdom.

On April 12, the Arab Coalition had foiled a similar Houthi attack. It destroyed a ballistic missile and three explosive drones targeting the southern Saudi city.

The attacks targeting Jazan are the latest in a long line of hostile actions against the Kingdom by the Houthi militia.

Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak had repeatedly urged for greater international pressure to force the group to stop its military escalation and engage in peace efforts.

In the meantime, each of the US and UN special envoys for Yemen is working to conduct intensive consultations with various Yemeni, regional and international parties to map out a possible peace plan.

Nevertheless, efforts spent by Tim Lenderking and Martin Griffiths are taking place at a time when Houthis have shown commitment to violence and a staggering disregard to international calls.

On April 11, the Arab Coalition intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile and six explosive drones launched by the militia towards Saudi Arabia.

Other cross-border attacks launched by Houthis against the Kingdom were also foiled by the Coalition on April 9 and 11 and March 26, 28 and 30.

Iraq
Baiji is now completely secured from ISIS attacks, Military official says
[SHAFAQ] al-Hashd al-Shaabi Forces in Saladin confirmed that Baiji district has been secured from ISIS attacks and attempts to revive sleeper cells.

Baiji is called the "fuel emirate" as it contains the Baiji refinery, which is one of the largest oil refining and processing complexes in Iraq, and produces a third of the production of Iraqi refineries.

The official in charge of the military media of the 31st Brigade - Risaliyoun, Ahmed al-Kanani, told Shafaq News agency, "The brigade's units and formations impose complete control over the areas of Baiji and al-Siniyah sub-district."

Furthermore, al-Kinani ruled out the ability of ISIS to revive its sleeper cells and take advantage of the previously displaced families, noting that the displacement file is subject to scrutiny by several security and intelligence agencies, including al-Hashd al-Shaabi.

"The threat of ISIS outside Baiji and its borders still exists", pointing out, "ISIS's techniques and plans have become exposed to al-Hashd and the security forces."

Baiji district, north of Saladin Governorate, has a population of 175,000. It fell in the hands of ISIS in 2014 before it was liberated by the security forces and al-Hashd al-Shaabi Forces in fierce battles that lasted for more than a year.

Security gaps in Saladin allow ISIS to keep scouting two major cities
[SHAFAQ] An Iraqi government official confirmed, on Friday, that the security gaps left by the Peshmerga since their withdrawal in October 2017, have not yet been addressed.

The deputy commissioner of Tuz khurma, Hassan Zain al-Abidin, told Shafaq News agency, "The security points between Daquq district, south of Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu district, east of Saladin, from which the Peshmerga withdrew in October 2017, were not addressed by the security formations. They turned into crossings dor terrorist groups that target the security points northwest of Tuz Khurmato."

Zain al-Abidin called for addressing the gaps, setting up interconnected points of security formations, and preventing ISIS Death Eaters from crossing Kirkuk and Saladin.

"Four out of seven villages northwest of Tuz Khurma, are uninhabited as they were displaced in the past years and did not return for service and security reasons. They are considered buffer lines against ISIS attacks, and points of the Iraqi army are stationed in them. Most of the other three villages' residents returned", he added.

Zain al-Abidin ruled out, "the ability of ISIS Death Eaters to launch any surprise attacks or penetrate the fortified security defenses in Tuz Khurmato", noting, "the security coordination between the formations and military and intelligence units has given positive results."

The withdrawal of the Peshmerga forces from the security forces and military sites in several disputed administrative units, created gaps and a security defect that has not been addressed since 2017 until now, and allowed ISIS to launch attacks and build shelters away from security pursuit.

Unidentified armed men attack the former deputy commissioner of Al-Rifai's house
[SHAFAQ] A security source in Dhi Qar reported that an armed attack targeted the home of the resigned al-Rifai district deputy commissioner, Ammar al-Rikabi.

The source told Shafaq News Agency, "Unidentified button men carried out an armed attack with medium weapons on the house of the resigned deputy commissioner of al-Rifai district, Ammar al-Rikabi."

The attackers fled to an unknown destination, and the security forces cordoned off the scene of the accident and opened an investigation to find out its circumstances, as by the source.

On Thursday, al-Rikabi submitted his resignation post days after his assignment, "to maintain the security of the city of al-Rifai, its stability and the safety of its people."

Gaza terrorists fire rocket into Israel for second night in a row
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian holy warriors in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip on Friday evening fired a rocket toward Israel, the Israeli military said.

Media reports indicated the rocket landed in Israeli territory, but in an uninhabited area. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

The rocket triggered warning sirens in the southern Gaza border communities of Holit and Sde Avraham, hours after the start of Shabbat.

The launch came a day after a rocket fired by Gaza-based holy warriors struck a field northeast of the Strip. In response, IDF aircraft struck targets linked to the Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, terror group, which rules Gaza.

The targets included an armaments production facility, a tunnel for smuggling weaponry and a Hamas military post, according to the IDF.

The attacks came during a general lull in violence from the Gaza Strip in recent months, amid a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and as Gaza grapples with the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
