[WASHINGTONTIMES] If the school officials in Fairfax County, Virginia, need any tips on how to reopen for full-time in-person learning, they need look no further than the Catholic schools in their own neighborhood, including Oakcrest.
The private school for girls in grades 6-12 welcomed students back into the classroom for five-days-a-week instruction on Sept. 9, employing masks and distancing but not COVID-19 vaccines, revamped ventilation or other items being demanded by teachers’ unions.
Even so, Oakcrest has thrived. All but one faculty member returned. One student and one teacher contracted the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... . The school temporarily quarantined the student’s grade, but otherwise never missed a beat, keeping its doors open, offering multiple sports, even putting on a fully masked spring production of "Antigone."
"We definitely found it to be doable in our case, given our circumstances," said Miriam Leon Buono, Oakcrest School associate head of school for operations. "I would not presume to tell others, but I do know that in-person learning has been a great gift to our children, and the faculty has been heroic. We’ve been very successful."
With the end of the 2020-21 school year in sight, she said, "we’re big advocates for in-person learning, no doubt about it."
With its 23-acre campus in Vienna, Virginia, Oakcrest has a unique advantage in terms of space, and yet its refusal to shut down for the pandemic was typical of U.S. Catholic schools.
Between 90% and 92% of Catholic schools reopened for full-time in-person instruction where possible, and hybrid learning where state and county restrictions prevented it, according to the National Catholic Educational Association.
Association Interim President Kathy Mears said most schools made the decision in June to reopen full time for the 2020-21 school year, and even though "nobody was sure that we could, everyone was going to try."

After years of paying the highest income tax in the country, the privilege of being the most IRS-abused group shifts from virtue-signaling California 1%-ers to New York millionaires, who would pay the highest income tax in the United States under a new budget currently being finalized by embattled NY Governor Andrew Cuomo.
According to the WSJ, Cuomo and NY state lawmakers are nearing a budget agreement that would increase corporate and income taxes by $4.3 billion a year and would make top earners in New York City pay the highest combined local tax rate in the country.

New York Millionaires To Pay Highest Income Tax In The Country
Not for long. If you're smart enough to be a millionaire, you're smart enough to move. Then the New York legislature will whine about how 'unexpectedly' their cunning plan didn't work.

It is like they hate New Yorkers.
Was liberalism that killed Manhattan!
You need a Guiliani once in awhile to fix that excess liberalism but this time they doubled-down on dumb and voted in a DeBlasio and the end was obvious to nearly everyone.
[CONSERVATIVEBRIEF] Far-left billionaire George Soros ...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true... has committed $500 million to a private liberal arts college in New York that seeks to enrich "democratic discourse by training tomorrow’s thought leaders."
Bard College announced that the donation is a "gift" and described it as "among the largest ever made to higher education in the United States."
The university said the funding "will facilitate and strengthen Bard’s exemplary educational and social initiatives, establish the College’s most substantial endowment ever, and set the stage for a $1 billion endowment drive."
"This is the most historic moment since the college’s founding in 1860," said Bard College President Leon Botstein. "When this endowment drive is complete, Bard will have a $1 billion endowment, which will ensure its pioneering mission and its academic excellence for the future."

I took one of my kids on a tour of Bard some years ago. The young lady leading the tour was stoned out of her gourd. So Soros needs to think in terms of "tomorrow's thought hallucination leaders."

I think it was in 1992 that, for some reason, I came up with the idea of dropping nuclear bombs on all six Ivy League universities. Nothing has moved me off that position since then, and this is simply another example of why this needs to happen.

Something doesn't smell right here. Soros has no connection at all to any other things that this college is famous for Dash music, art, literature.
What's the quo for Soros's 500 million quid?
What's he hiding?

[NYPOST] Hunter Biden said he wasn’t "keeping tabs on possessions" when asked about whether he dropped off his laptop for repair in 2019 — which later became the subject of a series of exposés by The Post last fall detailing the Bidens’ alleged corruption.
President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....... ’s son told "CBS This Morning" in an interview aired Monday that he can’t recall what happened to his MacBook Pro.
"Whether or not somebody has my laptop, whether or not it was, I was hacked, whether or not there exists a laptop at all, I truly don’t know," Hunter said.
"Are you missing a laptop?" host Anthony Mason asked about the infamous hard drive that became the basis for a Post series about the now-president’s involvement in the Biden scion’s sketchy business.

They're just laughing at us now.
They lied about the Bidens, suppressed the news of their obvious corruption, and rigged an election.
They got away with it. Robbed us blind, and now they're taunting us.
[NYPOST] Hunter Biden’s lawyers are not working on any kind of plea deal in the federal probe he’s currently facing into his "tax affairs," the first son revealed in a new interview Monday.Biden, 51, made the revelation to "CBS This Morning," replying, "Oh, no," after being asked if a plea was being made relating to the investigation.
The president’s son went on to say that he was confident his team was cooperating fully with the probe, which is being overseen by the Justice Department and handled through the US Attorney’s Office in Delaware.
"I am absolutely certain that what we’re doing is being completely cooperative with whoever is asking from any authority whatsoever," he told CBS anchor Anthony Mason.
In December, one month after the conclusion of a heated 2020 presidential race that saw scrutiny of his foreign business ventures, the younger Biden announced through the Biden transition team that he was under federal investigation.

Aside from maybe one or two fewer zeroes on the ledger items, what exactly distinguishes our sadsack former republic-turned-corrupt Oligarchy from those of Russia and China?
Our elections are a joke. Putin has more legitimacy and popular support than Plugs the Senile.
Our corporations are now aligned openly with the ruling Party. They are increasingly applying political tests in their hiring, promotion and executive staffing decisions.
The Chinese and the Russians are openly mocking our pretensions to superiority. We have none.
And now they're each gearing up for war. Heaven help us.
[NYPOST] Hunter Biden claimed in a new interview Monday that he has never given his father money from any of his business ventures "directly or indirectly."
The first son, and oldest living child of President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass....... , made the claim to "CBS This Morning" anchor Anthony Mason after being asked directly if he had ever paid his father — amid scrutiny about his own business dealings.
"No, no nothing," the younger Biden, 51, adamantly told the network.
Pressed further, Biden said he had not paid his father ever.
"Not a nickel, directly or indirectly," he said, "Not a nickel, ever, 100 percent, no, never."
Biden conducted the interview in a rare media appearance while promoting his new memoir, "Beautiful Things," out Tuesday, April 6 from Gallery Books.

What Hunter meant is that after the Bidens cut Bobolinski out of the China deal, the Chicoms split the 10 million they had promised, half to papa and half to Hunter's organization. So Hunter did not give the 5 million to his dad, he just felt that his enterprise should have got it all.

[BREITBART] House Republican Conference chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) slammed Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Banks’ (R-IN) memo Monday as Neo-Marxist.
Banks wrote a letter to House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... (R-CA) in March, charging that House Republicans must embrace issues important to working-class voters if they wish to take back the House majority during the 2022 midterm elections.
"President Trump gave the Republican Party a political gift: we are now the party supported by most working-class voters," the Hoosier Republican wrote in the memo. "The question is whether Republicans reject that gift or unwrap it and permanently become the Party of the Working Class."
However, there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened... not all members of the House Republican Conference agree with Banks’ sentiment.
During a call with the Congressional Institute last week, Cheney rebuked the call for making the Republican Party the party of working-class voters.
"Cheney argued the GOP is not the party of class warfare and that dividing society into classes while attacking the private sector is neo-Marxist and wrong," Politico’s Melanie Zanona wrote.
Cheney’s attacks against Banks’ memo highlighted a stark contrast between the competing visions for the House Republican Conference. In Cheney’s view, the House GOP would embrace the more traditional, establishment positions of former House Speakers John It is not pronounced 'Boner!' Boehner ... the occasionally weepy former establishmentarian leader of House Republicans... and Paul Ryan ...Former Speaker of the House, U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, serving since 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. He proposed an alternative to President Obama's 2011 budget and made himself the target of both Democrat and Republican verbal pies... . In Banks’ vision, Republicans would embrace the working-class coalition Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... established in 2016.
"Democrats will keep alienating working-class voters because that’s what their donors demand, and Republicans should welcome them with open arms by fully embracing an agenda that’s worthy of their support," Banks wrote in his memo to McCarthy.
Further, while Cheney has engendered controversy with her vote to impeach then-President Donald Trump, according to the Washington Post, Banks has been "helping to drive GOP messaging the Democrat plans."
"They feel like America is dramatically changing right before their eyes — I hear it everywhere I go," Banks said Monday regarding voters’ concerns during the House recess.

There ain't no Country Club Republicans any more -- or not enough of them to override the proto-Democrat Karens and pearl-clutchers in the tonier suburbs.
Cheney and the other clueless NeverTrumpers can't recognize the stark reality of Woke America: this mad movement is driven mainly by a group of upper middle-class overeducated white BLM-symps who are lost, forever, to Republican candidates.

She wants the GOP to be the party of the elites? Democrats have that one locked solid and she hasn't noticed?
Perhaps she wants the GOP to be the party of the poor?
Woops, Dems have been making people poor for decades, they own the poor.
[Breitbart] Alaska Republican Kelly Tshibaka leads Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) by double digits in the race for one of the state’s Senate seats, according to a poll released Monday.
Tshibaka, a former Alaska Department of Administration commissioner, leads Murkowski by roughly 15 points, or 33.6 points, to Murkowski’s 18.8 percent. Democrat Al Gross polls at 17.6 percent, and Alaska Independence Party John Howe polls at 5.7 percent, with 21.1 percent of voters remaining undecided.
The survey, conducted by Cygnal, found that Murkowski’s polling has plummeted since she voted to impeach President Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has awfully long coattails for a president who lost his reelection.
Across all voters, only 33 percent have a favorable image of the Alaska Republican, and 63 percent have an unfavorable view of Murkowski. Among Republicans, only ten percent have a positive image of Murkowski, and 87 percent have an unfavorable view of her.
In contrast, 61 percent of Donald Trump voters approve of Tshibaka, 61 percent of Republicans approve of her,
...strongly suggesting that all Alaska Republicans except the honourable senator herself are Trump voters...
and 59 percent of conservatives
...a number within the usual error bars for such surveys...
view the Republican challenger in a positive light.
"Lisa Murkowski is in as weak of a position as an incumbent could possibly find themselves in. A strong Republican candidate is poised to defeat Murkowski. Kelly Tshibaka is that candidate," Brock McCleary, the vice president of Cygnal, wrote in a memo regarding the poll. This poll includes potential Democrat and Independent challengers. Would have been more interesting to see just likely Republican voters, where I suspect Murkowski does even worse. I predict retirement and possible sinecure in the Biden administration.

In the Book of Judges, it is stated that Deborah was a prophet, a judge of Israel and the wife of Lapidoth. She rendered her judgments beneath a date palm tree between Ramah in Benjamin and Bethel in the land of Ephraim.
[NYPOST] Hunter Biden said he has "no idea" whether the Secret Service got involved when his former sister-in-law and then-lover tossed his .38-caliber pistol into a supermarket’s trash bin over fears he may hurt himself.
Hallie Biden, the widow of Hunter’s brother Beau who died in 2015 of brain cancer, took the weapon from Hunter’s truck in 2018 and threw it into the garbage at Janssen’s Market, a gourmet grocery store in Wilmington, Del.
In a rare media appearance promoting his new book, "Beautiful Things," CBS News’ Anthony Mason asked about the recently reported incident and if Hallie was trying to protect him.
"I think she...yes. Yeah, I think she was just concerned about me," Hunter said on "CBS This Morning."
Asked why he had the pistol, Hunter said "my life was difficult. ... Hallie’s intent was to, to make certain that I didn’t do anything to hurt myself."
"We knew that the gun was lost, that Hallie had thrown into a trash can. And I told her you can’t do that when I realized that it was gone. And so she went back again and then they, the police, came to help retrieve the gun, which was retrieved, someone had gone to the trash and picked it up and they found it within hours I believe. And so that was the end of the story," he said.
Mason asked if the Secret Service got involved.
"I have no idea. I don’t know whether the Secret Service were, or why they would be. I don’t think that that’s true, to my knowledge," he said.
But according to a text message sent by Hunter months after the incident, he said the Secret Service did get involved.
"She stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then told me it was my problem to deal with," Hunter wrote in the January 2019 message.
"Then when the police the FBI the secret service came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids," Hunter wrote, The Post revealed.
