One Mr Bulama Geidam, a health worker assigned to the General Hospital Gubio, in the Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State has been abducted by the members of the Islamic State of West African Province faction of the Boko Haram terrorists.
The ISWAP insurgents attacked Gubio early hours of Wednesday, carting away a load of food items and fuel from a humanitarian truck.
Confirming the abduction, the state Commissioner for Health, Juliana Bitruce, described the incident as “unfortunate and disturbing.”
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Commissioner said that the abducted health worker was among those who remained at their duty posts despite the palpable insecurity within the area.
“The ministry will write to officially inform all the concerned security agencies, including the Theater Command, Operation Hadin Kai,” she said.
The commissioner prayed for the safe release of the health worker.

Treviño, who has dual U.S.-Mexican citizenship, was turned over to U.S. federal agents in Tijuana

We don't have "Ukrainian Nazis" on our border, we have just as nasty cartel thugs, just as murderous and tribal as anything elsewhere. So, by the Putin Doctrine we can invade Mexico? /Rhet question
#7
We need to control our borders and cut off the flow of drugs, trafficked humans and laundeted money. The dirty money taints everything in our country. Our betters are more concerned with the shutting down of free speech and individual rights of citizens.

At least Putin would have sense enough to stay out of it.

We could definitely invade Mexico if the Chinese had staged a coup in Mexico City, set up their own PLA military bases near the Rio Grande and announced their intention to take back Texas
[OneIndia] The security forces have shot full of holes three gunnies in an encounter that broke out in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... early this morning.
The encounter broke out at the Nowgam area of Srinagar. The operation was carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir police and the security forces. The police said that the gunnies who were killed belonged to the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and The Resistence Front.
They were involve3d in the recent killing of Khanmoh's sarpanch Sameer Bhat. The security forces managed to trap the gunnies after cordoning off the area.
In the encounter a total of 3 bad boyz were potted. The forces also recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition, the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.
[Rudaw] The Kurdistan Region’s counter terrorism department confirmed on Wednesday the arrest of two Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) members in Erbil, a day after other ISIS suspects plotting a suicide kaboom were arrested in Kirkuk.
The statement did not specify the conditions under which the two men were arrested, only mentioning that they were "active members of ISIS" and wanted by the Iraqi counter-terrorism service (CTS).
On the request of the Iraqi CTS, the two arrestees were turned over to their department, according to the statement.
In coordination with Sulaimani’s internal security forces (Asayish), the Iraqi forces arrested on Tuesday three ISIS suspects in Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... who were plotting to carry out a suicide attack during the month of Ramadan.
Dozens of ISIS suspects have been arrested across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region since last summer.
Two highly sought members were arrested in Kirkuk in early January, two days after three suspects of the terror group were arrested near Erbil.
Several other ISIS suspects, including a health worker, were arrested in Kirkuk in December.
In its propaganda magazine on Thursday, ISIS claimed to have conducted 14 attacks in Iraq from March 3 to March 9, killing and injuring 11 people.
Shafaq News / On Tuesday, an explosion targeted a convoy carrying logistical support equipment for the US-led Coalition in Basra, southern Iraq.
A security source told Shafaq News Agency that an explosive device blew up near the Jreishan border crossing without causing causalities.
Hours later, another device exploded near a convoy on Samawa Highway, southern Iraq.
There was no claim for responsibility.
The Iraqi authorities issued several warnings of repeated targeting of foreign forces and diplomatic missions in the country.
On January 5, the Iraqi parliament voted by the majority to end the foreign military presence on the country's territory, following the Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy head Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, in an American airstrike near Baghdad International Airport.

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two Syrian government soldiers were killed, on Wednesday, in an IED explosion that targeted their car in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
An IED unknown individuals planted in a dirt route, which leads to a military point of the Air Force Intelligence, exploded when a military vehicle loading logistical supplies passed by, a military source of the 4th Armored Division affiliated with the Syrian government in al-Asharah town, 55 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.
The explosion claimed lives of two soldiers, who hailed from the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, who were inside the car, in addition to damaging the car, the source added.
Despite the intensive combing campaigns, areas in the Syrian desert and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor increase concerns of Iran-backed militias and the government forces because those areas occasionally witness operations launched by the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) sleeper cells causing massive loses for the government forces and the militias.
On March 7, several government forces’ members were killed and wounded in a missile attack carried out by unknown on a military point of the government forces in the town of Boqrus east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
