'I want my daughter's torturers to pay': Mother of American woman, 23, who had all her teeth pulled out before she was beaten to death with a rock in Mexico speaks out, as FBI begins probe

The FBI confirmed to DailyMail.com that its agents are assisting Mexican authorities with the investigation

Mexico's consulate in Brownsville, Texas, told DailyMail.com that a local funeral home is working on repatriating the body of American woman Lizbeth Flores

The 23-year-old was killed in the Mexico border city of Matamoros last week

Flores reportedly went to Mexico to visit her boyfriend on August 9 and her body was located on a grass field next to a construction site on August 11

Mexican authorities said the mother-of-two died from a blow to the head

María Rubio reported her daughter missing to the Brownsville Police Department on August 10 after her daughter failed to return home

'I want those who did that to my daughter, each one who participated in her death, I want them to pay,' Rubio said

In recent years, Matamoros and other neighboring border cities in the state of Tamaulipas has been subjected to a spike in violent incidents involving the Cartel del Noreste [Northeast Cartel] and its murder squadron, the notorious Tropa del Infierno [Gang from Hell].
