And why did Thomas Jefferson have a Koran? It was an enemy intelligence source. Our first war as an independent nation was against whom? Americas Earliest Terrorists Take, for example, the 1786 meeting in London of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Tripolitan ambassador to Britain. As American ambassadors to France and Britain respectively, Jefferson and Adams met with Ambassador Adja to negotiate a peace treaty and protect the United States from the threat of Barbary piracy.
These future United States presidents questioned the ambassador as to why his government was so hostile to the new American republic even though America had done nothing to provoke any such animosity. Ambassador Adja answered them, as they reported to the Continental Congress, that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.

So maybe we name the next carrier Philadelphia.
Much of the money that was funneled into the coffers of Ellisons campaign can be traced to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR),
CAIR is funded by the Saudis who fund fellow Muslim terrorist who want us dead. Hence Ellison is a traitor to the United States of America and should be delt with as such.

Not only is the article from which the headline comes funny, but it's posted right next to Ranger Grace: It doesn't matter how you look, you look great!(resisting urge to go all tacky and poor taste-like)
One of a number of works by Shabana Muhammad (undoubtedly a psydonym)
"...To appreciate a Quranic miracle one needs to have an unlimited imagination and a willingness to believe what is against rational thinking. If there are any miracles in the Quran then only a few people could see them. But there aren't any, and we will see why." He has an amusing piece of the Koran's view of the earth's roundness.
"..The late sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz was in his time the highest Islamic authority in Saudi Arabia, and to many Muslims in the whole world. Sheikh Bin Baz was a man of unquestionable knowledge in Islam and the Arabic language, and a very dedicated Muslim. As recently as 1982, he issued a fatwa that earth is flat and those Muslims who say otherwise contradict the Quranic teachings. Sheikh Bin Baz was aware that scientific discoveries point to a round earth that orbits the sun. He was a true devout Muslim who had to choose between man made scientific discoveries and the Quranic revelations. Being a dedicated Muslim Sheikh Bin Baz decided to side with Allah who never do mistakes. In 1982 scientists had no doubt about the shape of earth, but Sheikh Bin Baz, on the other hand, had no doubt about the clarity of the Quranic revelations that made him issue his fatwa with confidence. He knew how it is embarrassing for him in the scientific circles but he was willing to face the whole world because of his confidence in the Quran..." This is a wonderful site. A number of the people who post here are very capable scholars (although maybe not top notch english language writers).

In 1975, the Woody Allen movie, "Love & Death", set in Russia, described a "Village Idiots Convention"... I think the suitase nukes aren't the only thigs that left after the breakup of the USSR in 1992...

An Egyptian doctor who edited Prophet of Doom explained: "Their response is psychological. It is what youd expect from someone who has been told that their religion is a delusion. The revelation triggers a defense mechanism of anger. This is what I faced every time I tried to discuss Islam with them. Our only hope is that Muslims learn to contain their anger and then make use of their minds. But Im afraid that will not be tolerated by those who benefit from imposing Islam. If Islam suddenly disappears, Muslim clerics and kings, dictators and terrorists, would lose their power and funding. A million Islamic clergy, dictators, and terrorists would instantly be out of work."
Here is an example of how they respond. In 1987, in the Muslim World Book Review, an Islamic apologist, Parvez Manzoor, wrote: "The Western enterprise of Quranic studies is a project born of spite, bred in frustration and nourished by vengeance. The Western man, coordinating the powers of the State, Church and Academia [now theres a delusional thought], launched his most determined assault on the citadel of Muslim faith with arrogance, reckless rationalism, and a world-domineering fantasy of sectarian fanaticism, joined in an unholy conspiracy to dislodge the Muslim Scripture from its firmly entrenched position as the epitome of authenticity and moral unassailability. The ultimate trophy that the Western man sought by his daredevil venture was the Muslim mind itself. [Yes, we would like to open it.] In order to rid the West forever of the problem of Islam, Muslim consciousness must be made to despair of the cognitive certainty of the Divine message revealed to the Prophet. Only a Muslim confounded of the historical authenticity or doctrinal autonomy of the Quranic revelation would abdicate his universal mission and hence pose no challenge to the global domination of the West. Such, at least, seems to have been the tacit, if not the explicit, rationale of the assault on the Quran."
