Fifth Column
Former Twitter whistleblower.
[The Last Refuge] This discussion is where it becomes critical to remember the nature of stakeholders in media.

CNN is the national media firm protecting the interests of the U.S. State Dept. The Washington Post is the national media firm protecting the interests of the U.S. intelligence apparatus. The latest Twitter whistleblower information originates in,.. wait for it… “an explosive whistleblower disclosure obtained exclusively by CNN and The Washington Post.”

The whistleblower is a former technology expert who came from within the research farm of DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Peiter “Mudge” Zatko, is a well-known cybersecurity expert who left government work, entered the public world, and eventually became the head of Twitter security, reporting directly to the CEO.

Peiter “Mudge” Zatko is now saying the background technology of Twitter is vulnerable to manipulation. I’m not going to go into the granules of what Mudge is outlining, instead I prefer to focus on the bigger picture, a scenario we have been outlining for quite a while that could, emphasize *could*, become very explosive, especially considering the legal challenges between the social media platform and Elon Musk.

The nub of the bigger story is essentially that the database of Twitter, and likely other social media platforms, is integrated with the U.S. intelligence system. The database of Twitter is not necessarily vulnerable to hacking by outside entities, although that is the framework used by media reporting this whistleblower issue.

The bigger risk to the surveillance state is discovery that Twitter and the U.S. intelligence community are in a public-private partnership. The Dept of Homeland Security has access by design, not flaw. How the stakeholder media are reporting on the issue shows the nature of the risk,

Government Corruption
Two Men Convicted of Conspiring to Kidnap Democratic Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
More on this story from yesterday.
[NATIONALREVIEW] A federal judge convicted two men on Tuesday of conspiring in 2020 to kidnap Democratic Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer
...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender...
The two men, Adam Fox
...accused of being the other ringleader in addition to paid Fed informant Big Dan Chappel...
and Barry Croft,
...pardoned in 2019 for an old conviction for possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, allegedly the group’s bomb maker and a national leader of the 3 Percenters...
face a maximum sentence of life in prison for the kidnapping conspiracy, and were also convicted on one count of conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction, as the men allegedly planned to blow up a bridge near Whitmer’s home to hinder the government’s response.

Fox and Croft’s first trial ended in a mistrial. Two men pleaded guilty before the first trial and two others were acquitted of all charges in April.

Defense attorneys claimed that the men were entrapped by more than a dozen government undercover agents and informants who "conceived and controlled every aspect" of the plot to kidnap the governor.

The attorneys described Fox as "isolated, broke, homeless" and Croft as a trucker, and argued that they could’ve never carried out the operation by themselves, if not for being influenced by undercover agents.

"In America, the FBI is not supposed to create domestic bandidos bully boyz so that the FBI can arrest them," Fox attorney Christopher Gibbons told the jury, according to ABC News. "The FBI isn’t supposed to create a conspiracy so the FBI can stand up and claim a disruption."

Gibbons maintained that Fox was heavily influenced by a confidential informant named "Big Dan."
...Dan Chappel, who was paid $54,000 for six months work seducing his targets to come up with the most inept plot since Mad Magazine’s Spy vs. Spy. Inept federal agent, too — during the course of this thing he ended up indicted on federal gun charges...
"Adam Fox was not ever predisposed to the crime of kidnapping Gov. Whitmer. He talked a big game but talk is just talk. Adam Fox took no affirmative steps to achieve the ends as Special Agent Chambers
... Jayson Chambers, who was starting a side business as a security consultant at the time...
and Big Dan pushed so hard to achieve," Gibbons said in his closing argument before the jury, CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...

White House poised to cancel up to $10K in debt for some student loans
Wish I'd borrowed a ton of money to finance my education, I could be cheating some bank out of it now, instead of paying for other cheats. The Biden administration is leaning toward canceling up to $10,000 in student loan debt for those who make less than $125,000 a year, according to a new report.

Sources told the network that the White House will also weigh in on the Aug. 31 expiration of the moratorium on student loan payments.

Last month, the Education Department told loan service providers not to contact borrowers about resuming payments, according to reports.

"Here are some facts: Only 37% of Americans have a 4-yr college degree, only 13% have graduate degrees, and a full 56% of student loan debt is held by people who went to grad school.

Biden's plan to cancel it would be like taking money from a plumber to pay the debt of a lawyer."

Schiff: Trump First Person 'Without Character' in the Oval Office
[Breitbart] Representative Adam Schiff
...Showboating U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Schiff has served in Congress since 2001. He currently serves as the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In a manner reminiscent of Joe McCarthy, on March 22, 2017, in a interview with Chuck Todd on MSNBC Schiff claimed there was “more than circumstantial evidence now” that Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia." Todd followed up by asking if he had seen direct evidence of collusion and Schiff responded that there was "evidence that is not circumstantial and is very much worthy of investigation"...
(D-CA) said Monday on MSNBC’s "Deadline" that former President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
was the first president of the United States "without character."

Schiff said, "We have seen a pattern with Donald Trump, and that is when he’s not held accountable. He goes on to commit worse misconduct. He wasn’t held accountable for his Russia misconduct that led to Ukraine. He wasn’t held accountable for the worst misconduct in Ukraine that led to a literal attack on our democracy on January 6."

He continued, "If he’s not held accountable and ever given an opportunity to exercise power again, we can expect things that are worst still. We are forewarned about this man."

He added, "We always knew the importance of character in the Oval Office, but we didn’t really know until we had someone without character occupy that office. So, I have to think that whatever motivation brought those documents to Mar-a-Lago had nothing to do with the president wanting to do his homework or the national security needs of the country. There’s only one thing that’s ever been important to Donald Trump, and tha

Liz Cheney's Agony
[AMERICANTHINKER] Liz Cheney, who sits on the Jan. 6th Committee, has made her political agenda clear from the beginning. Although an "investigation" is supposed to be a search for the truth, Liz Cheney made agonizingly clear many times that she didn’t need to wait for the results of the investigation. From the beginning her stated aim was "make sure that Trump never gets near the White House again." Permanent Washington also made their aim clear. The Jan. 6th Committee "investigation" was for her, and many others, mere political theatre to achieve a predetermined political agenda.

Had Cheney been interested in the truth, she might have insisted that the committee seat the appropriate number and type of Republicans to cross-examine the prosecutorial witnesses. She did not do so. At every turn she interpreted any testimony in the worst way possible for Trump, e.g., she has recently stated that Trump "commanded" a "heavily armed mob" to try to stop the counting of electoral votes. She and her Jan. 6th Committee have, however, given no evidence whatsoever that Trump "commanded" an armed mob to use violence to stop the counting of electoral votes. Her very strong statement requires that she prove both causality and intent. However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
the committee has only demonstrated a degree (even that not clear) of correlation between Trump’s remarks and the riot, namely, that Trump made some remarks and some people went to the Capitol and rioted. The committee has not proved that Trump’s remarks caused the mob to riot at the Capitol or that Trump intended that his remarks cause the mob to riot at the Capitol. Demonstrating causality or intent is never easy in social situations: "Since intent is a mental state. it is one of the most difficult things to prove." It is certainly not easy given the very murky events surrounding Jan. 6th, events that the committee in their "Star Chamber" has conspired to keep murky. For Liz Cheney, however, everything about Jan. 6th is as clear to her as her seething hatred of Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
Such intransigence is neither normal nor healthy. Bill O’Reilly thinks that her hatred of Trump stems from the fact that Trump savaged her father’s performance as vice-president. This does seem the most likely explanation. Many of us, no matter how many philosophical texts we have studied, would quickly lose our tempers when someone comes after our fathers, especially when they are as abrasive as Trump can be. It is precisely for that reason however that Liz Cheney is not suited to sit in judgment of Donald Trump. The American people will be the losers when such a committee becomes the instrument of someone’s personal Dire Revenge.

If Liz Cheney had stated her criticisms of Trump in more measured terms, that he had made some inflammatory statements, that he was unwise to claim the election was stolen, that he took too long to do anything to stop the mob violence, etc., many of us would have at least listened to her case. Unfortunately, she has instead made grossly exaggerated accusations that she represents as established fact but which have simply not been demonstrated. In brief, Liz Cheney appears to be unhinged. Instead of demonstrating that there is something wrong with Donald Trump she has unwittingly demonstrated that there is something wrong with Liz Cheney.

#1  Liz never lived in Wyoming. Don't dig to deep into why she thinks and says what she does. She never was a Republican just a child of a politician.

#2  Liz Cheney had only one job, namely to represent the people of Wyoming. The sole judges of how well she did her job are the people of Wyoming, and they have spoken.

#5  "Liz Cheney had only one job, namely to represent the people person of Wyoming."

There, fixed it.
