[Fox News] - Democrats signaled in the runup to the looming conclusion of President Trump's impeachment proceedings that they'll simply refuse to accept his all-but-certain acquittal because his "sham" trial lacked proper witnesses and evidence.
Signaling how they will message the saga in the coming months on the campaign trail, top Democratic leaders in the House and Senate argued Slick Willie Trump can never erase the stain of impeachment because the trial wasn’t legitimate.

...They're relying on the fact that most Americans don't have any real understanding of How Things Work. The House may well be able to define an impeachable offense as anything they want (and I subscribe to that, by the way) but the Senate then gets to define the trial in any way that they want, and there's not a damn thing the House can do about it.
An impeachment is an accusation and a charge. No more, no less. A prosecutor can, as the saying goes, indict a ham sandwich, but he can't make the jurors convict - and if they don't, then it makes no difference what you charged him with.

Since the impeachment process won't change a single person's opinion on Trump, they just acting out their frustrations.
They should be frustrated - they are second rate people who succeeded, for a time, to convince the rest of society that they're superior. But, now, it's all going away.

What they don't view as legitimate is our two party system of government. Vile to them is the Constitution that stands between them and all power, which, of course, is the intent of the document in the first place. They have slide into an full blown authoritarian party.

I think part of the impeachment strategy (no, strategy implies rational thought -- let's go with the impeachment feelz) was to provoke Trump into a misplaced reaction. Trump can kill that, and maybe seal the deal for November, by using the SOTU in a statesman-like and concilatory fashion: "I invite all members of Congress to work with me in making America even greater than it is now." (Whether he has to mean it or not is a different question -- this is optics.) Publicly threatening Dire Revenge is the wrong move.

Anyone can do this, we expect better from Troll-meister. Betcha he'll find a way to be statesmanlike for the Nation and treat the demonrats as the scum they are.

That really is the gist of all this. They are unwilling to accept the outcome of an election, and are going through every conceivable exercise to prevent Trump from governing. It is not and never was about impeachment.

Once the vote happen, who cares what they think. When we take the house back she will be relegated to some crybaby outside the yard.

Remember the all white dresses Pelosi orchestrated, my guess is something like all wearing black as if to a funeral?
CNN and MSLSD will be primed to talk about it incessantly.

Trump is acquitted because the Democrat case was never anything but a load of crap.

He should declare his intent to ensure our elections are fair and free from any attempt at interference: call for an amendment barring parties from making rules changes once campaigns have begun, limiting early and absentee voting, and requiring paper ballots.
The first will fire up the Bernie bots against the Dems. The other two will limit fraud, "harvesting" and idiocy like voting via cellphone.

Given your impeachment and anyone identified as a Democrat is resigned from humanity, I say this with all sincerity. FOAD!

He got attention from the left as a Conservative who could be counted on to hate everything Conservatives actually do. As a Democrat he's just one of the many and a traitor at that. He'll no longer have anyone willing to listen to his nonsense until he walks it back a bit.

Just kibitzing over the hedge:
"From Brooklyn to Harlem, a bridge?"
"We won't need a ferry
When you and them marry!"
"A helluva pitch..."
"That 400 year itch
Could be scratched..."
"So, you're stickin' with Midge?"
"Yeah. But don't let that stop you."

Wasn't a bad plan, really -- might even have worked -- but hypocrites bug me. Totally projection, probably.

[TheHill] Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D) booed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a live campaign event for presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in Iowa on Friday.
The moment happened toward the end of a panel discussion with Tlaib and Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) and Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) at Sanders's first "Caucus Concert," which featured a performance by Bon Iver in Clive, Iowa, ahead of Monday's caucus.
All three lawmakers have endorsed Sanders in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary and have spent time campaigning for him. During Friday night's event, the lawmakers mostly spent the time on stage discussing a number of progressive issues, including climate change.
At the end of their discussion, activist Dionna Langford, who was serving as moderator, mentioned Clinton recently saying "nobody likes [Sanders]," eliciting boos from the audience.
Langford sought to quell the booing, saying: "We're not gonna boo, we're not gonna boo. We're classy here."
That was when Tlaib jumped in, laughingly saying: "I'll boo. Boo."
"You all know I can't be quiet," Tlaib added. "The haters will shut up on Monday when we win."
[RealClearPolitics] HBO's "Real Time" host Bill Maher explains why he believes Bernie Sanders is an attractive candidate and questions if voting matters if we can't trust election returns. Maher said he often shifts between the more progressive candidates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and candidates like Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar.
"I don't think the Republicans anymore believe in democracy. I thought when Merrick Garland didn't get his hearing, I thought they can't subvert democracy more than that and Mitch McConnell said hold my beer," Maher said Friday night.
"I'm just saying I don't know if voting matters," Maher told his panel. "I don't trust the returns with Russia, and hacking, and all of that. I have to say, it affects how I vote. I've been going back and forth about this, and we all do to a degree. Do we want the progressive? I like Bernie and Elizabeth Warren but I feel mostly or have said something like Pete or Amy Klobuchar could win more easily."
"I'll tell you why Bernie Sanders is attractive to me now because he's the only Democrat, like Trump, has an army who when it gets to this other level, he's got a bunch of badass motherfuckers who will get in the streets," the host said.

He has sort of a point. I've spoken with several Bernie Bro's. They conveyed an unpleasant feeling I associate with the kind of men who would ride around on Trotsky's murder train, shooting unarmed peasants. So that kind of "badass."

Wearing white hoods or black masks make no difference to fact that they are thugs that should be stamped out. When they turn violent they should be dealt with and the Antifa have long passed that point.
#10
Ok then by all means DON'T vote. At this point my concern is when we cross the line of departure, like when is it truly open season and not some sissy soy boy false start.
#14
All just moaning. Trump will definitely get the Votes. And there are no enough thugs out there stupid enough to leave the basement and face Vets. It won't even come to the Vet getting out of his lounger. The Army can handle it...good drill practice. No worries. Just let them off the truck, issue them live ammo and patrol the streets. Bernie supporters nowhere. Round a few up and give them stiff sentences. Laugh at them in the local papers. Take Bernie aside and give his a tour of an "undisclosed" location. Problem solved. Bernie who?

They will go in the streets? Then they will die in the streets. All enemies, foreign and domestic. Revolutionaries? Shoot to kill.

Republicans believe we are a Republic, not a Democracy, and Bill, have you seen the latest Project Veritas videos? I don't think the Bernie bros have ever believed in anything except stalinism
