[Independent] House Democrats will hold a meeting to discuss whether to pursue impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump, a key lawmaker said on Sunday.
House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff said on Fox News Sunday that the House Democratic caucus will meet in the coming weeks to discuss the matter.
"That’s going to be a very consequential decision and one that I’m going to reserve judgment on until we’ve had a chance to fully deliberate on it," Mr Schiff said.
In an appearance on ABC News’ "This Week," Mr Schiff also said that while the findings of the Mueller report are "serious and damning," he does not believe the Senate would convict Mr Trump if the House were to impeach him.
"Now, it may be that we undertake an impeachment nonetheless. I think what we are going to have to decide as a caucus is: What is the best thing for the country?" he said.

If they impeach, and in the highly unlikely event that the Senate were to convict, they get Mike Pence in the White House. I don't think that's really what they want. Besides, without Trump to investigate, how are they gonna spend their time?

What are they going to charge him with? "Orange man bad" is not a high crime or misdemeanor.

IMO Dems are going to lose the House if they push the Trump impeachment. I got a feeling that voters are getting very tired of the Dem shenanigans and attempts to derail Trump by any and all means possible. They don't have the Senate so it is a circular firing squad for them. They have to ask themselves: Do they have anything that rises to the level of the following:
The offences for which a guilty officer may be impeached are, treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors.
Get over that you don't like Trump. That is not grounds for impeachment.

This whole thing is like Ludlum on cheap Chicago crack.
I daydream of Ivanka and Jared storming into a hall with an Uzi and the Old Glory saving Trump from a pack of bloodthirsty dems too far gone for civility or restraint.

But if Trump succeeds in securing the border, what's going to happen to my cartel money?

The corrupt wing of the Democrats are hoping to restore sanity to the Socialist wing before they screw things up so bad that the Dems become a regional party on the national level.

I wouldn't mind if the Dems end up wandering the political desert for the next 40 years for their sins. That might be what is required to clean up the Washington mess. The fear is that the Pubs would get fat off the system and corrupt during the 40 years of Dem exile.
[Washington Examiner] Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., demanded her caucus proceed straight to impeaching President Trump on Sunday, questioning the efficacy of some of her colleagues insisting they conduct investigations first.
"If the Democrats cannot decide that they're going to move with impeachment, I guess they're going to go on with these investigations. How long are they going to go on with them? What more do they need to prove?" the House Financial Services chairwoman said during an interview on MSNBC's "AM Joy." So, like 15 people saw it...
Waters' call to action received a boost last week after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report when Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts publicly supported Rashida Tlaib of Michigan's impeachment resolution, which she introduced in March. Other advocates, including Reps. Al Green of Texas and Brad Sherman of California, who introduced a similar impeachment measure in January, added their voices to the chorus clamoring for Trump's removal from office.

One party system with party leadership selecting the leaders! Progressivism! How DARE the people elect someone outside the one party system! A white man at that!

Plus Waters and Green ain't black enough to impeach a white man. When they get real black people in Congress with names like Deshandra Taytay Brown or Cedrick Jussie Labrawn in office THEN they can impeach a cracker!
But for Russian Collusion?? How about for making blunts illegal?! That's a REAL CRIME, "Waters"!!
